"The Headboy told me transferring wasn't possible," Knox wrinkled his nose unhappily, looking in the direction of the girl that had spoken up. A younger looking girl who by the looks of it, was attacking her rather long hair with a brush.

Hello pretty hair.

Helena's voice faded as she threw a quick look around the room. Okay, maybe he actually had a reason not to like it. Or even more reasons.

But as he went on... Helena couldn't help but laugh. "No prisoners here," she assured him. "Unless..." You know, the dungeon where detention is served had to be somewhere nearby. But maybe he doesn't need to know this detail... yet. So time to change the subject. "Are you new here?" She suddenly asked, smiling. He didn't look like a first year, but yes, he had to be new.

He knew it probably wasn't entirely wise to complain about the Common Room and its lousy interior design while so many of its ... inhabitants were here. But Knox just couldn't help himself!

"But where's all the colour!? Doesn't it get depressing in here!?" He already knew he wasn't going to be spending a whole lot of time in here.. maybe he could find an unused classroom and set up home in there. Like a little den. And he could invite friends over for tea and cake and it would be lovely. YES.

He nodded when the girl asked him if he was new here. He supposed that much was obvious. "Yeah, I transferred from Beauxbatons.." And noone lived in dungeons there!

"Hope you guys don't mind if I chime in in the conversation, but calling this place a prison?" She gave another chuckle as she glanced around the Slytherin Common room. Then she abruptly stopped herself. "I'm sorry, but it's just that I've never heard anybody say that before. To be, it's more like a second home. I've never felt better." Savannah added. "I mean, who else's got green fire in their fire place?"

"I just thought..." Knox shrugged his shoulders, head tilting to one side as he considered the girl for a moment. A second home!? For a brief second he wondered what her first home was like. Hmm. "Y'know.. like in fairytales and stuff.." Yeah, yeah, he liked fairytales! "And the prisoners get thrown in the dungeons!"

This was like THAT!

"Have you asked if they've got a practice room?" he asked. "I went to explore the castle earlier, and I found this room called Classroom Eleven. It's an empty classroom, maybe you could practice in there. It's up in the Ground floor." he said pointing to the ceiling.

"Ah, but do you have a little mind?" she teased, winking.
"No, I haven't asked yet, but I'm thinking of going to play by the lake. Empty classrooms sound like a good idea though, especially in bad weather. Do you know when the next Hogsmeade weekend is? I need to buy some more rosin, and maybe a new bow or something." She looked down at her bow, she could always do with a back up. She had missed the weight of it in her hand. It was almost as important as a wand to her and had the same comfort as she held it. "Maybe my wand was meant to be horsehair rather than dragon heartstring." She said, grinning and bouncing the pale, rosined hair from her bow on her hands.

Connor shrugged his shoulders and then looked at her. "Danielle Christina Dubios what a crazy thing to ask, you know you are like a sister to me!" He turned to her. Savannah stared awkwardly at the fifth year boy as he talked about...fairytales?

She frowned as he said that the prisoners get thrown in the dungeons. What in the world is this guy talking about?? "If you're talking about that is what the Slytherin Common room looks like-" and she took a glance around the place. "-then...then..." Savannah didn't know what to say next. She'll what? "Careful." he smirked at Aurora. Mordred shrugged and looked at the bulletin board. "No announcement yet. Just the Quidditch tryouts." he said looking at the board.

"Horsehair?" Mordred repeated and laughed hard. "I..i-imagine horsehair in your wand..."he said trying hard not to laugh.

Peyton sat on the floor of the Slytherin common room, slightly unimpressed. Alright, if she was going to be a snaaaake, then some of this creepiness had to get the heck out of here. What was there to be creepy about little (sometimes BIG) snakes? People needed to get over themselves and not be creeped out by slithery snakes. Besides that thought, Elliot was also on her mind. She softly hummed Better Together by Jack Johnson as she stared at the, of course, green fire.

That's when a sudden thought hit her. She turned around to see a blonde her, around her age, sitting in one of the armchairs. "Hey, do you know where the Gryffindor house is located in this school?" she questioned.

Caroline stared at the girl for a moment. Why was she asking where the Gryffindor house was? What was she the Hogswarts GPS. Nah she didn't mind answering her question. Of course she knew her boyfriend was in Gryffindor. "Yeah, It's on the seventh floor behind a portait of a fat lady. Why?" If she had to answer then question she was asking one herself,

MichelleFredWeasley 05-07-2011 01:31 AM

Faith sat down and started reading her book. It was all written in Egyptian so she knew it looked weird. She started bouncing her leg impatiently as she read.

GREAT. By the looks of it, this girl looked almost as lost as she was. A little breath of relief escaped her as the girl started to speak. "Okay tha---" she was about to show her appreciation when the girl asked why. Why did she want to know? "Oh you know...I'm.. I'm new around here. I sort of have this friend in that house and haven't seen him yet so I though I'd go track him down." It seemed weird for Elliott not to have magically appeared yet.

"Oh and I'm Peyton by the way," the brunette smiled at her. "Colorado native, fifth year." That about explained the story of her life. She got up off the ground and brushed herself off. Seventh floor, behind a picture of a fat lady. Now how exactly did you get up there?

As she passes accross, Aiden sees an excited girl around her age reading a book with an uncommon writing. She instantly recognise the symbols as Hieroglyph.

However, seeing the girl's face, Aiden knew she has met her somewhere. She was the energetic girl she saw in the train earlier.

Interested in what she is reading, Aiden approaches faith.
"Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" she asks politely.

Wait, Marie, right. And... "I don't know." she said, moving over to get a better look at the kitty and HOPEFULLY pet it. Maybe. It was Marie's cat now and...were they still friends? "And I don't care." Destiny could shove all the chocolate she wanted in her face. Evelyn wouldn't stop her.

Marie didn't miss Evelyn staring at Harley. He was a very adorable kitty so of course it would be hard not to look at him. "You wanna hold him?" Picking him up off her shoulder she held him out to Evelyn. "His name's Harley."

Well, seems Ev and Destiny weren't getting along at the moment. "What's the deal, Destiny on another one of her chocolate sugar highs?" If she was then she needed to stay where ever she was. Marie wasn't in the mood for her sugar high antics.

TEEHEE. Nodding, she smiled and gently took the kitten from Marie. Harley? "Cute name." She muttered, looking down at the kitty. She had no idea what the reason was behind the name, but, it didn't matter. What mattered was that Poof was going to be insanely jealous! Where was her cat anyways?

Meh. "By now...yes." With as many chocolate frogs that girl shoved in her mouth, the Slytherin would definitely be on one of her sugar highs right now. "But that's not the reason." Sitting on the armrest of the couch, she scratched the kitty right behind his ears, keeping her focus mainly on the kitty. The feast wasn't a good memory.

She didn't know if it was because she was surprised by the sudden possession of her hand by another or because she truly couldn't multi-task that well. "Glasgow. That's in Scotland. Iris scoffed, and then laughed at the girl's comment. "I was only thinking about... life." Hehe... Pssh... This girl wasn't a legilimens, was she? :whut: 'Course not... she was too young.

Crossing her legs on the couch, the Head Girl turned to face the younger student properly. "Lovely ferret you've got there. What's his name?"

Thinking about life? Lulu sniffed as she rubbed the back of a slightly dirty hand against the tip of her nose. Sounded terribly boring to the third year but she refrained from saying so out loud--at least for now. "Life's a lot to think about," muttered Patterson dubiously. Sir Robin started sprinting around in circles, excited by the sudden influx of students in the common room. He sped around legs, curling around ankles and taking in the new scents and the old familiar ones. "Ain't nothin' lovely 'bout him save his coloring, mayhaps," answered Lulu waving a hand dismissively in the air. "Name's Sir Robin, though. If you like 'im, good on you. Not often people do. He's got a rotten habit of taking what isn't his and he hates bath time."

The girl said ferret like it was any better than a rat. Which it wasn't. They were both... furry and... weird. And "Rats... in the... castle?" Orabelle said slowly, just to make sure the girl was speaking proper English. Or just speaking in general. Orabelle knew there was something wrong with this school! And there being rats just proved it.

Orabelle watched the girl wipe her hands on her robes and grimaced. Uhm... hello, dirty? The girl could at least like... wash her hands, right? "I can tell," she said as she glanced back at the ferret and then the girl's hands.

"Of course there's rats in the castle. Outside of it too, I reckon," explained Lulu with the very little patience she possessed. The girl seemed slow. Patterson would do her best to be polite--friendliness wasn't a requirement, though, was it? Especially with the odd way the girl was acting. There was a slightly disgruntled look on her face and Lulu followed the girl's gaze to her own hands. Lulu held them out in front of her and observed them as Sir Robin came speeding in front of her, doing several more laps before climbing over to the sofa close to the girl.

"I reckon a girl like you wouldn't find a use for a ferret. You seem like a pygmy puff kind, eh?" She could use it to dust her fancy hoity toity perfumed dust on herself too; multi-purpose pet. "Robin's actually a good pet," declared Lulu haughtily althoguh she'd be the first to say that 'good' was relative. "He is thoughtful and...he's fast," observed the brunette watching her ferret leap from the back of the sofa back to the ground and zoom around the common room again, careful to keep away from the cat on one of the girl's lap.

Tommehbell 05-07-2011 03:13 AM

And it took her forever to find this place. She ran into the common room out of breath and breathing hard. She leaned against a chair for support. It would have been nice if someone had told her how to get to her own common room.

Maddox caught her breath and looked around at her new home. "What's a lass have to do to get some oxygen around here?" she asked as she was finally able to calm down.

Zoom 05-07-2011 03:18 AM

anybody ;)

Macy stepped into the common room, wide eyed. Hello. Dude! This place was AHMAZING! .... Like, seriously! The room itself was dark, but in a comfortable and homey sort of way. And from what she'd heard they were directly under the lake, so that would explain the gorgeous greenish-blue aura illuminating the place. Heh. COOL.

Stuffing her hands into her pockets, the girl began to skip around the perimeter of the room, humming softly to herself. Yes, she was going to inspect at least half the room. Hehehe. It was like an ADVENTURE. Even the occasional stray quill or button lit up the child's eyes, bringing with it the thrill of discovery. Oh yes. Hogwarts was so much cooler than Beauxbatons. Pfft. Take that Eden!

. . . This girl was seriously scaring her with the thoughts of anything tiny and furry scurrying around the castle. "And no one has ever thought about telling the headmaster to get rid of them?" Orabelle asked with disbelief. What if the rats got into the kitchens? Oh, it would be horrible. Next thing you knew, there was a dead rat in your meal. How horrible.

She nodded in reply. Ferrets were useless. What was she ever going to do with a fuzzy rodent like that? Nothing. "Not much of a pygmy puff person, I'm more for horses than anything," Orabelle said simply. They were intelligent and amazing. Thinking about horses made Orabelle miss her own back at home. Orabelle listened, though not intently, as the girl talked about how 'great' the ferret was. "And he possesses the ability to scare everyone around him," Orabelle muttered under her breath, still waiting for the cat to pounce on the ferret.

"I'm Orabelle," she said as she averted her gaze and looked at the ferret owner.

Daichi looked away from the fire and sat on the cold floor. Cold.. cold would destroy heat right? yes ,he was alot safer here. He sat down on the floor, still holding his duck while watching the other students. Would anyone even notice him? He then thought about the fourth year, he had met on the train. He couldn't remember his name but he had said he should watch out in case someone tried to make fun of his duck. He thought people wouldn't be like that but then... what if they did?! Seeing the alone boy about her age, Aiden approaches him. "Are you all right?" she asks Daichi while bending her knees in front of him.

He nodded when the girl asked him if he was new here. He supposed that much was obvious. "Yeah, I transferred from Beauxbatons.." And noone lived in dungeons there!

Helena just couldn't stop giggling. Hopefully, he's not going to think there was something wrong with her. "Well... there's a lot of green and silver," she shrugged, while a grin spread across her face. Maybe he could try using some simple charms to change the colours... Or not. Lafay could get REALLY mad, so Helena decided to shut up, not to give him ideas.

... and he was new. That explained everything. "That's nice," she said, smiling. She had always wanted to see that school. "So... have you seen any other places around here?" Because he made it clear that he didn't like the dungeons. But Hogwarts had a lot of nice places.

So this was the common room?

Daichi looked around with half open mouth, he couldn't believe it but his brother had actually said the truth when he had described the common room. His eyes darted to the stone walls to the fireplace. His eyes widened when fire erupted and warmth up the place. But instead of going towards the fire, Daichi let out a soft whimper and pressed his ducked plushy against him while taking a few steps back. Why where the couches so close to the fire?

Daichi looked away from the fire and sat on the cold floor. Cold.. cold would destroy heat right? yes ,he was alot safer here. He sat down on the floor, still holding his duck while watching the other students. Would anyone even notice him? He then thought about the fourth year, he had met on the train. He couldn't remember his name but he had said he should watch out in case someone tried to make fun of his duck. He thought people wouldn't be like that but then... what if they did?! He knew he had Evan's back , and he's the Prefect. Yes despite his little (well little) lie. He still trusted him.

Jonathan came inside the common room. Pfff! What a day. He thought by now he would be busy studying but no, he wasn't--- YET! He decided to just enjoy the remaining free time they were given. So he went and sat near the fire place. Jonathan felt tired and a little bit sleepy. He hasn't been sleeping well at all. Why was that a problem anyway?

He stretched his two feet and rested his head and when he turned to his right, Daichi was there. "Hey" smiling at him. He finally came in as a Slytherin. "You're a Slytherin" still smiling. "Oh! Remember me?" where were his manners huh? Probably the boy had forgotten about his teasing session in the train with him. Jonathan scooted near him and saw him again with his stuffed toy. "Mr. Duckels, right?" was that correct? Jonathan was never good in remembering names after all.

"Of cause!!!! And I glad... to meet you!", - might to tell him she quickly, but she just thinks, - How to see him that I need in attention even it is more than to whom he whispers something feeling pit!
Attention... is necessary for me more from grown wise experience in this room of rest in combination like Head Hall. I need in 2000 enclasping certainly, with the subsequent marriage.
Just now I need to start with rules 10-20 of the enormous list the most important to know (it is desirable to have at itself in the opened kind, where won't be acquired yet to letters and points with commas).

"Can I help you with something?"

Anasta Lora Riddle has impatiently licked lips, having tinted freshening lipstick, with hope that there without a peel from sunflower seeds and has smiled broadly, looking visual a serebristo-golden beam directly in pupils, diligently defining that for the person after image similar to the professor.

"Anasta Lora there is... in person. And you, I hear, are Connor, is`nt it?
Connor, how much you are informed on disciplines - advise me, please, the most useful to the classes activity in Hogwarts. And what Homework on what one discipline ore two is the first to the young girl well developed.
If you recommend... some more and most important rules in all in additives, I will be very grateful".

Connor bowed to her. "A pleasure to meet you Miss Anasta Lora." He smiled his brilliant white half-Veela smile. "Aye my dear, I am Connor." He replied. He listened to her speak and tried to understand her to the best of his ability.

"I think you are asking about discipline here at Hogwarts. Ta be honest I know very little about it but I do know that you do not want to anger our head of house as she has been known to set people on fire and she removed the bones of a very special person to me once."

He rested his chin on his palm. "To tell you the truth luv, i could give you more information on Rules and Discipline and the like for Drumstrang than for here, because I've just transferred from there and from Salem. This is me first year here at Hogwarts." He smiled at her kindly.
