There were so many thoughts that Josephina wanted to ask, but at the same time, she REALLY wanted to message up to Renee and tell her to come down.

Renee would know more about this, wouldn't she?

But no, she would handle this; she COULD handle this. It wasn't her expertise - dream interpretation - but how hard could it be. Besides, Evelyn had gone to HER, which meant she probably didn't want to share the dream with Renee. "Anything can be a premonition, Evelyn," she began simply, as she contemplated this more. "But what if ..." she paused, thinking and then changed direction. "Wait... why did you tell me this dream? Do you think its real? Is it recurring?" Yes, these questions were important. Because well she wouldn't bother trying to find meaning to something that had no meaning.

Not being able to help it, Evelyn narrowed her eyes somewhat, not much though. It was more of a reflex thing, but she caught herself after a second or so. While the girl was here for other reasons besides some made up dream, she found herself becoming a tad irritated. Hadley wasn't listening to her!

Eh. "Professor..." she said, that one word being drawn out so Hadley could fully understand that she was on the verge of whining. "I told you already. Yes, it's recurring." Hmm, perhaps she wasn't clear on that. Aw well. Taking a deep breath, she shrugged her shoulders, gaze settling on a random spot on the Professor's desk, her voice lowering down more to a mumble when she spoke up again. Would it be too much if she added in a sniffle? "And I told you that I didn't really want to talk to anyone else about it. Why else would I tell someone something if I didn't think it was real?"

Was that a hint of WHINING in the sixth years voice? Sitting up straighter, Josephina frowned only slightly, as her eyebrow raised. Did she tell her that? Hadley couldn't recall the girl saying anything of the sort, but perhaps the strange, apparent dream had taken a toll on both their abilities to remember properly. Or was this some sort of joke that Evelyn was playing at in hopes to get revenge for the points loss?

Hmm. Biting back the words, I don't know why would you? Fina brushed that aside and nodded. Right then, if the girl thought it was real, then she would help. But she also didn't think it was related to Destiny and her own friendship. Something that Fina disagreed with. "Mint?" she offered casually, clearing her thoughts to press forward with the interpretation.

"So you mentioned a chocolate family and watermelon family... and well I'm just thinking that perhaps one of them is you," The watermelon, perhaps? "The other is maybe Destiny. And the dream is symbolic over your friendship." There. She said it. Now Evelyn could either agree or disagree.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Savannah knocked quietly on the door, hoping not to get scold at. She wait impatiently on the spot, looking here and there. She could really do something more worthwhile right now than waiting here like an idiot. Savvy doesn't like going to professor's offices. But, what's got to be done got to be done...right?

Simon ran straight up to Professor Hadleys Office, he had no idea why he had picked her, he could have gone for Professor Bishop but Hadleys office was closer knocking on the door he shouted. "Fire!!" Professor Hadley there's a fire in the potion storeroom." Simon shouted through the door. "Professor if I have to drag you there to prove to you I ain't lying I will." Simon said, hoping that wouldn't be necessery. "Please Professor open up."

Apparently the office of Professor Hadley was the place to be? No, maybe not, but every time she started work on marking homework assignments another student seemed to interrupt with a knock. Maybe she shouldn't try to arrange time to mark the assignments but to just do it when she had time?

About to answer the first knock, her thoughts were interrupted by another knock and shouting (?) on the other side of the door . . .

Fire? In the Potions Storeroom? So why were they coming to HER? Was Hecate Lafay incapable of handling her own storeroom? That was when panic hit her and thoughts of Hecate being TRAPPED or UNCONSCIOUS flicked through her mind. What if it was just THAT; that Hecate really was incapable because she was passed out?

Rising from her seat, panic-stricken, Fina gripped her wand in her right hand and opened the door, but shut it quickly behind her, muttering a quick locking spell.

"If there's a fire, then we mustn't dawdle here." She glanced at the youngness of the students who had come to her. Or at least of Simon and Savannah (wait, had Savannah even been one to talk of the fire?) "Miss Morets, you may come if you like," the girl was of age, she couldn't stop her if she wanted to help. "Simon. Go straight to your common room."

She then glanced apologetically at Savannah. "Miss Black, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to return a little later. Apparently there's a fire very near to your common room." And if any students got injured or died because she prolonged getting there to have a visit with another student... she would feel horribly guilty.

And with that, the brunette strode off in pursuit of the dungeons corridor.

The short silence that followed didn't bother the girl, however, she was finding that she was running out of places on the Professor's desk to stare at. Shaking off any uneasy feelings, her gaze finally moved back to the Professor when she offered a mint. Hmmm.

"Thank you." she muttered, taking one. Hmmm, one of the families was her? The watermelon one right? Darn, she should've made them a strawberry family instead-

...Wha? Blinking in confusion, she shook her head slowly. No. That, wasn't possible. Wasn't it already established that this had nothing to do with Destiny? Or that they shouldn't bring up HER name? Or they shouldn't even think of...IT!? She could've sworn they did already. Or was that just her... "I don't think so." Popping the mint in her mouth, she crossed her arms stubbornly and slumped in her seat some.

There was no way she could make up a dream and it had something to do with her.

Fire?? Fire!!

Savannah doesn't know whether to believe it or not. Shouldn't the classroom have fire-shield charm or something? Now she have to come back later. Who made the fire anyways? Savannah have a lot of questions in her head. Probably clumsy people, though Savvy sourly.

"Fine..." Savannah sighed. Well...safety has got to come first, right? She walked out of the corridor toward the Slytherin Common Room.

But no, he said something else instead. "No. Not necessarily. Because the number doesn't suggest failing at all, but more simply it suggests what your career path might look like. The themes you might encounter in your life. It doesn't say if you deviate from it that you will fail, but you might not be living up to your potential, however if you do deviate."

"But it's basically the same thing! At least for me." Legend smirked. Yeah. He was a genius. An amazing genius. Hadley had even said it herself. Many more people were starting to see it and it only made Legend more excited. After many years FINALLY people were starting to see his point.

Alright. No failing. That meant that he did not have to be like everyone else and go to a stupid boring Ministry job. Legend was thankful for that. For once the numbers were working for him. "Professor really? I think I'd live up to my potential in whatever I do." Yeah. He was a genius after all.

The Gryffindor took a deep breath before speaking again. "But before I was thinking about becoming a...well...a Professor. What do you think about that?" Obviously a Professor would know what made a good Professor.

Apparently the sixth year was unhappy with her explanation of the dream. Well then, it wasn't really HER fault though; she was just using what the girl told her of the dream and interpreting it with what she knew. Merlin only knew if the dream was REAL, despite Evelyn's best attempts to be convincing that she wouldn't make it up.

"So what do you think then?" Fina asked nonchalantly, rubbing her arm subconsciously. She'd offered HER opinion but apparently it wasn't good enough for the Slytherin.

The brunette fought against rolling her eyes when the Lion Boy claimed genius and quick thinker to be the same thing. "Oh? So you're telling me that anyone who has witty comebacks can be considered a genius? I hardly think that is the case." Actually, it was more that she KNEW it wasn't the case. After all, most of the geniuses in history didn't become recognized as so until after they were deceased.

But now she was thoroughly amused at his next comment. Confidence; she envied that of every Gryffindor. That was one thing she gave that house credit for was that they had this ability - way about them - which they believed in themselves. Nothing to do with genius or intelligence, but pure confidence.

Uhhhhhhhh ............ WHATTT??!? Seriously? Legend Chosen wanted to damage INFLUENCE the minds of young people?! Fina's eyes were wide open now as she leaned forward, her palms on her desk, her bum on the edge of her seat. "I think ..." She sighed, thoughtfully, contemplating. "You should do research work first. Might I ask what subject matter you're considering?" You know, perhaps she could arrange him to assist her teach in one of her lessons.

Legend blinked a couple of times before leaning back in the chair. Now that he had finally told Hadley what he had to tell her he felt relaxed and everything. "You're right that isn't the case. But Professor it's me. I'm an exception to the rules." He created the rules. Sorta.

He knew that he was probably the reason for a few rule creations at Hogwarts. Legend didn't see why. He wasn't even technically a bad student...he was just himself.

"Muggle Studies." He probably should have spoken to Professor Zoo about this but HADLEY knew about futures and stuff. "I think it would be awesome to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts but......I'm not that skilled." He loved the subject...he just wasn't the best at it. Sadly. "I researched a bit! After Hogwarts I'd have to go to Wizarding University." He nodded his head.

"I don't know." she muttered, looking back to the Professor. "That's why I'm here though. To ask you for your opinion." Obviously. "You sure there isn't anything else that doesn't have to do with Destiny?"

Fighting the urge to roll her eyes, Josephina couldn't help but actually agree with that. In some sense, Legend Chosen actually was an exception to the rules. Mostly because he thought himself exempt from them. "Sure, sure," she waved off, as they moved onto more pressing topics. Like the kid's future.

Muggle studies? Why then was the kid HERE? Though now that he reminded her, she hadn't seen much of Jeremy this year and made a mental note to visit later. "Hmm... Defense. Have you talked to the Headmaster about perhaps helping some of the younger kids with Defense training?" You know, being that he was the former Defense professor, but was probably to busy with his administrative duties and stuff... Not to mention she wasn't sure the kids would be learning much from Lord Borr if she recalled correctly about him. "Maybe even offer tutoring services for any of your stronger subjects?"

Tilting her head casually as she studied the sixth year, Josephina frowned. How could Evelyn have come in here with that apparent recurring dream and not have formulated ANY opinions over the matter? Something didn't sound right ... That much the Arithmancy professor was certain of. Actually, it was moments like this that she wished she had the abilities of a legilmens.

Biting her lower lip to keep from a sarcastic retort, Fina instead pondered it carefully. "If you don't have any speculations, then what do you expect? That it's just a dream and there's nothing to worry about ...?" She sighed. "You're a brilliant young witch, Evelyn. I'm sure you have some thoughts about it."

GoldenSnake 06-07-2011 10:31 PM

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Again.

Savannah held a box of pacel in her arm and a candy in the other. She just visited the Owlery, her mother sent her a box of homemade candies! She got to say, they taste like little drops of heaven. Who wouldn't love a creamy filling white chocolate and bunch of those gooey stuff inside?

This is the second time Savannah knocked on those doors. The first time she had to leave because there was fire in the potions storeroom (which have nothing to do with the this room). But Savannah's not complaining because she's too busy chewing on those "Little Drops Of Heaven".

Rethinking the dream, she shrugged her shoulders once more, though was a bit uncertain than she was when she came in. Huh. The talk about Destiny before had made her lose track of why she was here in the first place. Ugh, the girl wasn't even here and she was still ruining everything!

"Well, I don't expect it to be some sort of prophecy or anything." she muttered. Merlin no. "But, dreams...they're just a reflection of one's subconscious, aren't they? So if one was stressed, their dreams would more than likely one way or another be a reflection of what was bothering them. You could possibly be right in the matter that someone was bothering me, which would be represented as the chocolate in the dream...but I highly doubt it's Destiny. That girl can annoy me to no end, but she isn't worth dreaming about."

Hmmm. Breaking down a dream she made up was rather weird. "Unless..." Sitting up straight in her seat, she nodded slightly as she thought about it for a moment. Fake dream or not, she just had a rather nice thought. "Unless that someone, whoever it is, who is bothering me is someone that I wouldn't even think of as a suspect!" Yeaa, she wasn't talking about the dream anymore. "Someone on the inside. Someone close to me. Someone...I wouldn't even dream of being angry at because even if all the chocolate in the world would thrown into flames, every one of my friends enjoy it, therefore...making it rather impossible to hurt or destroy...even if they hurt me..."

Staring at her feet for a moment, Evelyn suddenly looked up to the Professor, a look of realization on her face. Definitely not thinking of the dream anymore. "You...are...good. I should talk to you more often."

Another knock. Was it just her or did it seem like her office was more busy than usual this year? Every time she tried to settle in doing some work, another student would come calling about this or that . . . Probably because Max had decided to become obsessed with words like Mate or Argh! Or maybe if they went and bothered Lily, it would distract from the blond's ability to heal those who needed healing.

Or yea. She didn't know.

"Come in dear," Fina said calmly, brushing the hair behind her ear. "Door should be unlocked."

Now the girl seemed to be on the right track with the dream analysis. Perhaps she ought to teach on dream interpretation; shame it was more of a strictly divination topic and didn't really have much in the way of numerology.

Wait ... Huh? What was Evelyn talking about? Something in her tone though ... her expression ... told her they weren't in Kansas anymore they weren't talking of just chocolate and watermelon dreams. No, there was something more and maybe even, Evelyn told her what she needed help with but she didn't help anymore? Or ... ?

Smiling politely at the sixth year, she nodded. "You're welcome." Because sometimes, the way to help wasn't by saying much at all, but by saying the right things and letting them figure out their problems. They were teenagers, after all, almost adults; not a bunch of mere children.

"Come in dear," Fina said calmly, brushing the hair behind her ear. "Door should be unlocked."

Yippee!

Savannah skipped into the room happily, probably because of all the sugar. She thought it was a bit impolite if she doesn't offer one to the professor, but she would HATE to give up ONE piece of her candy.

Nevermind about the candy, Savannah shook the candy subject out of her mind. Should she start speaking or should she wait until the professor lets her speak? Savvy decided that the second choice would be wiser, so she stood there, nibbing on her candy.

Perhaps another for discussion on careers, since she seemed to be the go-to person for career talk this year. Katie WAS a seventh year, after all.

Nodding at the Hufflepuff as she took a seat, she smiled warmly, as she absently brushed some curly hair behind her ears. "I did actually. Very much. Spent some much needed time in the sun, mostly relaxing. And then of course I got to show your former Professor Saylen around my home country." She paused, reflectively, another smile and gleam crossing her expression. "Next summer, I'm hoping to visit her in Mexico." Her first experience over the side of the Atlantic.

"What about you? Enjoyable summer?"

Wait, waaaaait. Professor Saylen and Hadley had been in Italy over summer? Katie's smile brightened considerably at this, almost amused by the thought. It was unfortunate they must not have been around Milan, or she could have just missed them. It wasn't like she had been home much over the summer, she had avoided that. "Where did you two go, if you don't mind me asking?" Leaning forward a tinsy bit in her seat, Katie was all ears and interested in hearing about Hadley and Saylen's vacation. "That sounds exciting. Will it be your first time there?"

Her summer? Erhhh. Katie paused - or rather froze, taking a moment to consider how to answer that. "Not really, no. It wasn't exactily my ideal vacation.. Legend and I broke up. That kind of made it hard to enjoy being away from school and spending time with my family. I spent most of my summer with my sister, Savannah, and my brother-in-law and neice." The seventh year gave a slight shrug of her shoulders, as if to brush the topic off entirely or act like it didn't matter. It wasn't a big deal anymore. "Professor, may I ask what made you want to teach? As a career?"

Ah and it seemed Miss Black had come back to see her, meaning that it must have been important enough relating to Arithmancy or something. Yet apparently the girl seemed to have hyped herself up on sweets judging from her skip.

"Miss Black," Fina said cooly, keeping her tone even. Judging from the girl's already apparent hyperness, there was no need to offer the she-snake anymore sweets. "Take a seat. What can I do for you today?"

Fina was sure she noticed an obvious brightening in the Hufflepuff's face when she mentioned being home. "Spent much of our time in the central areas of Italy, Perugia, of course. But we did apparate to Siena for a day and then Rome for two days." Of course, she couldn't have someone visit Italy without taking them to Rome. "It will be my first time in Mexico, yes. Of course you know I spent much time South of the Equator, but it was spent mostly in the African regions. Never on the other side of the Atlantic."

Legend and Katie broke up? Well that explains some of the awkwardness. Between Legend and Katie, then Destiny and Evelyn's friendship, Fina wondered if perhaps the world was coming to an end or something. "I'm sorry to hear that. These things... are confusing." Yes, even to her who was thirty years old and seemingly perpetually single. Didn't stop her from believing though that true love did exist, but she also believed in tragedy striking true love. Savannah.... gosh... that name. "Wait... Savannah? Savannah Mae?!" Now it was her turn to lean forward in her seat, resting her elbows on the desk. That name. "When did she graduate?" Yea, she totally wasn't even listening to when Katie asked another question about teaching or careers. None of that was important now, after all.

Wait ...

She had this little problem allllll figured out now. It was so OBVIOUS, why didn't she see it BEFORE!?

Nodding enthusiastically, Evelyn stood up suddenly and made a quick few steps to the door. Oh wait, she had to ask to leave didn't she? At least with Lafay, they had to. Was it the same with the other Professors?

Abruptly stopping in her tracks, hand just about to open the door, the Slytherin glanced back to the Professor, a rather hopeful expression on her face. "Sorry, can I leave?" COULD SHE!? Either way, she was sloooooowly inching the door open and inching her way out. "And, we should do this again next week. Or like...every week. You're awesome by the way..."

Aaaand...she inched herself out into the corridor. That was nice.

Savannah swallowed her chocolate. Doesn't want to talk with her mouth full! Expecially ugly brown stuff. Hey...how about offering a chocolate to her? She doesn't seem very happy. Savannah smiled big and said. "Want a chocolate professor? It's very good!" Putting the accent on very. Savannah thought that maybe wasting time on candy is not a good idea, so she got to the main idea...well...sort of.

"I have a question about the homework..." Savannah started slowly. "The homework for the first lesson. Are we suppose to choose a poem written from a famous person or a made up poem?"

Hadley was more confused now than when Evelyn had come in. She seemed to have figured out whatever she wanted to ask her all on her own, but it only left the brunette feeling quite bewildered. "Hmm? Yea, sure... Have a good one."

What was that about, she had no idea? She hadn't really given any advice at all, but perhaps that was the best kind?

What was it with students and offering her sweets this year? Did they not realize that she wasn't as young as they were?! Those sweets instead of getting instantly metabolized would settle into her body. And what if one of them was trying to poison her? Not they had many reasons to attempt such an act, but still! "No thank you." She replied sweetly. After all, she had her own stash of peppermints. Much better than the chocolate; at least while students were nearby. Hyper!Fina would not be a sight they would want to see.

Homework question? Why of course. "For the first lesson, you're supposed to make up your own poem, preferably connected to your house or the school, in someway." Was that all she was confused about with the first homework? Not bad at all.

No to chocolate? :gasp: She just have been the first one to say no! Oh well, at least Savannah will not loose one.

"Oh." said Savannah after the professor's explaination. "All right then." Savannah never tried to make a poem on her own before, but she thought it might be fun. "Thanks professor, I must be going now." said Savvy as she walked toward the door. Then she stopped or a second and turn once again to the professor. "Are you sure you don't want any chocolate? They're like little drops of heaven?" asked Savannah. She just can't believe someone said no to chocolate!

Was it just here or did the she-snake seem rather offended or surprised by the refusal of chocolate? Surely she should understand though; chocolate wasn't everyone's thing.

"It's not that big of a deal. Honest. Just try your best," Fina said, hoping the girl wasn't too warded off by the concept of creating her own poem. "I'm sure. Enjoy the chocolate. Just don't eat too much of it all at once or you'll be seeing Healer Moretti for a stomach ache." The brunette responded, hoping she wouldn't take that too seriously. But it was true though; too much chocolate = not good.

Polyjuice turning back to Simon

Simon had thought about going to the common room but had decided he didn't want his house mates to think he was messing about, when he had just done the Polyjuice final the only problem was he had partnered with a girl, who liked wearing skirts and high-heels and so he had decided to go to one of the Professor's he trusted not to laugh and that was Professor Hadley.

Simon was turning back and as he was doing so Chloe's clothes were starting to get baggy on him, that was the problem when you partnered a Seventh Year though he liked the fact that he had messed with Jacob head, though he felt sorry for Chloe if Jacob followed it up by asking her what she was doing to him.

Simon was back to his normal self except for the fact he was in a girls Gryffindor uniform, he knocked on the Professors door hoping she wouldn't be long, he didn't want anyone to see him like this, he laughed when he realised that he hadn't thought this one through, maybe next time he used polyjuice he would pick a boy though that was if he did use Polyjuice again he didn't really like the taste of it.
