Commotion Simon was coming back from teaching one of his lessons, heading into the common room for a chance to relax between classes and homework. Even without quidditch and anymore prefect planning it seemed his schedule was packed to the brink. However as he stepped through the portrait hole he was greeted by a spectral wolf causing him to pause in his tracks before realizing something could be wrong and hurrying through. "What's up?" he asked no one in particular before noticing the group around one of the couches reconizing most if not all of them including Kurumi. Her presence especially made him worried for some reason as he moved closer, his face falling as he spotted Selina. "What...what happened?" he asked ready and willing to help if needed though he supposed that was the purpose of the patronus. Its intended recepient unknown to him. |
all you in the common room <3 Kurumi squeezed Selina’s hand as it became more obvious by the minute that the second year was going deeper and deeper into her vision. At least, the shakes and shivers that continued to ripple through the young lioness’ body seemed to imply this. Kurumi looked over her shoulder when she heard Lexi speak again and also caught a glimpse of a silvery wolf exit the common room. She wanted to breathe a sigh of relief knowing that help was on the way, but she couldn’t do that knowing that Selina’s heart rate was gone and she was growing colder by the minute. “Y-Y-Yes…” she whimpered in response to Lexi. “S-S-She told me last term…but things have become more intense this term…” Terrifying was the more appropriate word in this situation to be honest. “She has never lost her pulse before Lexi…but…Selina saw this happening in a vision she had during our first Divination lesson of the term…” Kurumi then shifted her gaze towards the older Gryffindor, the one who had sent the patronus to find Professor Bishop, and nodded her head in gratitude. In the next moment, Simon had appeared and Kurumi began to break down again. “S-S-Simon…it’s Selina…” Although, he could probably tell that from just looking. “S-S-She isn’t breathing…she…she has never been like this before while having a vision…” Kurumi didn’t even hear William and Rose throwing hexes at one another over whatever dispute they were having She wondered if she would still feel that way if she came back. |
Lexi chewed her lip for a moment as Kurumi spoke. She could perform mouth to mouth... she had learnt in Muggle Studies... But oh wait. A Prefectish person on the scene... no need for Mama Lion anymore. Lexi gave Kurumi an apologetic smile and did indeed step back further. She was thoroughly freaked by the situation and had no desire to be around if something REALLY terrible commenced. Yeah. Time to exit stage right... or common room right, or SOMETHING. |
William/Rose and the group Simon heard rather then saw the dispute coming from the other side of the common room, turning to them finally and spotting his team member and William. "Enough!" he shouted in their direction to get them to stop and might have been headed in their direction to step in but right now a life-or-death situation seemed far more worth of his attention. The captain turned back to the group in front of him as Kurumi spoke explaining the situation as best she could. He couldn't help but place a comforting hand on the seeker's shoulders as he moved even closer and tried to think of what to do. "Who was sent for...Donovan?...Moretti?" he asked at first before it sunk in what Kurumi had said. ...having a vision "Professor Bishop?" he added asking again, the divination professor popping to mind. She could certainly be a help for he himself had very small knowledge on the subject. Simon noticed Lexi step back from the group but now was not the time to worry about whatever issues between them so he chose to ignore her unless she decided to speak up and stay with them. "When she...when she has a vision...do you leave her alone until she's out or is there something you do to help her out?" Simon asked as his mind started to work, hoping Kurumi would be with him enough to be able to remember anything that might help them help Selina. Perhaps the best way would be to consider this incident as meerly a stronger type vision. |
Wants to snuggle you all.... back to the future A much older Kurumi Hollingberry stepped out of the shadows of the once great and furnished Whitley Hall. The older Selina stood up from her seat on the stairs and leaned against the banister, "Hey how long have you been here?" the older Selina smiled. Kurumi threw a smirk out and started to flounce over to the older Selina, "Oh you know, I'm always around. Thought I'd just pop in to see how you are doing?" The older Selina jumped down from the stairs and approached her friend, "Christopher told you I was here didn't he?" Kurumi bit her bottom lip and said, "He might have mentioned it," she sighed and continued, "Selina we are all really worried about you. Why did you come back here after all of this time? Your family hasn't lived in Whitely since you graduated Hogwarts. This is not your house anymore and you've been coming here a lot lately." "Something just calls me back Kurumi... like someone needs answers and I have them. Have you ever had that feeling?" Kurumi paused a beat and then said, "Nope," popping her p slightly at the end. "I have the answers to the questions and I just don't know what answers they are or who needs them. But I know that I just need to give them, that someone needs the answers so terribly right now. That they are just so lost and they need me." Then the older Selina looked straight at the younger Selina and said, "You... you're here." Kurumi looked dead at younger Selina and said, "I don't see anyone." Older Selina smiled and said, "I see someone... and you need to go... I have to talk to her." "Selina...?" Kurumi said worriedly. Older Selina said, "It's someone who I haven't seen for years. But you need to trust me, its a Seer thing." So Kurumi confused turned around and left. The older Selina then said, "I was wondering when you were going to come." |

More might possibly happen a bit later, but I'll get Professor Bishop there at least. As once again she'd finished grading assignments, Renée had been relaxing in her ofice with one of the myriad books she had on the shelves, idly flipping through it as she actually had been thinking about other things. Namely, everything that had been going on around the castle, but in any cae, those thoughts had ceased as soon as an unknown Patronus had appeared in her office and relayed a message. One that she immediately knew the meaning of, so she'd placed the book down on her desk and stood up to head over to Gryffindor Tower. Before getting there, however, she sent off her crup Patronus with a message just in case. She had a feeling she knew what she might have to do to help Selina, if what they'd discussed before was in fact occurring, and she wanted to make sure everything would work out. Arriving at the portrait guarding the Gryffindor common room, she murmured a few words to gain entrance, then stepped inside to an odd sense of rebellion. Just from her past, and the fact that back then she wouldn't have been able to get in here like this. That faded as she saw the group around one of the couches, and she took a few strides to arrive where they were to look down at the little redhead who was in trouble. "Simon," she said to the Quidditch captain as she glanced at the others again, giving him a nod along with the other boy who was standing there, before noticing Lexi edging away. Panicking wouldn't help, so she let the girl go if it was felt necessary, giving her a semi-reassuring smile. She wasn't sure if her idea would work anyhow, but they were counting on her to help. She just hoped her own Patronus would work, if needed, and the person she'd sent it to could summon the others if things got really bad. And then there was Kurumi, and she knelt down by the young girl to look at her while also keeping an eye on Selina. Resting a hand on her shoulder, she spoke. "How long has it been?" Hopefully, someone could answer, as that would help figure out how to proceed. She still wasn't sure if the plan she had would work, so another path would be good. |
Rafe felt relieved that the professor had finally arrived. He didn't know what to do. He was assuming that the girl must be some kind of seer, but got confused with all the death talk. "I'm glad you got my message professor," he said as he backed away to give her more room. Rafe caught Lexi making her way out from the corner of his eye ad he felt like he should probably do the same, but he just wanted to make sure the girl was okay. "Is there anyone else I should send for or do Professor?" Rafe wanted to do anything he could to help within his power. |
Kurumi swallowed back some more tears as Simon spoke to her again. "There isn't anything I can do," she said shaking her head as she gave Selina's hand another small squeeze. "I...I just make sure that I never leave her side..." Kurumi didn't like feeling helpless when it came to her friends. Growing up with very few people that she felt connected to, Kurumi's emotions when it came to the people she had befriended at Hogwarts were intensified tenfold. Glancing back at Selina, Kurumi wanted to apologize over and over again. Perhaps if she did that enough, then Selina would come back? Yet, looking at the second year, Kurumi couldn't help but think that she looked almost peaceful there resting on the sofa. If it hadn't been for her body growing colder by the second. Then, the angels sang and a golden light shone on the common room - at least, that is how her brothers often described things when something really good happened. Professor Bishop entered the room. However, Kurumi only noticed when she had placed her hands on Kurumi's shoulder. The third year looked up at the professor. "Maybe a little over ten minutes," she half sobbed as she tried her best to remain calm. "She has been shaking a lot more than usual, Professor. And...and...well...it is just like what we discussed in your office..." |

The young Selina from the present was shocked to see that someone had seen her. More importantly the person who had seen her was herself- an older version of herself. This could not be a vision, it was some kind of alternate reality. It had to be. Usually her visions kept her invisible to the event that she was viewing, but in this specific vision she was seen by one of the players. The older Selina stepped forward and smiled awkwardly, "Well this is weird, um hello." Younger Selina gulped and waved slowly, "How can you see me? I thought this was-" "A vision," the two said together. A small shock seemed to race through each of their bodies. "Yes, it is a vision for you," the older Selina affirmed, "but you see this is a special vision. I, well I guess you too because we are the same person, have these visions every so often. I connect with a future me in one of my visions. I am able to connect with them because we are both Seers in a sense. Most of my visions are like movies, I watch the scene play out and see numerous people and situations play out. But every so often I have, or in this case you have, one of these special visions. It's the type where I can just talk to you and we can connect. But you see... I only have these visions when I am, or you are, having a great deal of strife in my or your life. Do you understand?" The younger Selina nodded and said, "So these are like visions that connect to future versions of myself and I can help me clear up a bad time in my life?" The older Selina chuckled and said, "Sort of. There is a catch though, I can't tell you very much about the future. Don't ask, I won't tell." "Is that some kind of rule?" "No," Selina said bluntly, "There is no one who really helps me out with visions or some all knowing Seer who appears out of a space vortex. I just don't do it because I don't remember when you and I met, you know back when I experienced this at your age, that the future me told me anything much about the future. So I won't." The older Selina sighed and said, "Here is what I can tell you. It gets easier little me. Visions are hard things to cope with. You walk around everyday knowing how people lose a friend, lose a job, lose a life. That can be a lot of baggage, especially for a twelve year old. But it IS a gift. It will help you out a lot in your life and help you rectify a lot of wrongs. Don't look at it as a curse. "Look, little me, right now things are messy, life is tough. But Danielle is something that you will have to learn to live with. I do everyday. I wish I could use these powers to help her, but if they have taught me one thing I am always looking forward, never looking back. There is no great revelation... we did kill our sister. That doesn't change in the future, but you need to look forward, live for her." The older Selina put her hand on the younger Selina's shoulder and the young Selina felt a sharp pain on her left shoulder where the older Selina had her hand. It felt like she was being tickled in an odd way. But the pain finally subsided and she felt warmth in her left shoulder. When the older Selina removed her hand she revealed that the younger Selina had a tattoo on her left shoulder, it was blue tinted and was glowing. The tattoo matched the older Selina's DS on her shoulder. The younger Selina whispered, "DS- Danielle Skylar." The older Selina nodded and said, "Yep, so she's always with us." "How did you do that?" "I honestly don't know. I just remember that's how it happened to me. You know? I just put my hand on your shoulder and hoped that it worked. And it did. Listen kid this is a special tattoo- it will be there when you get back from this little journey thing if it isn't already there. But this tattoo is special, it's like a birth mark. It never goes away. When the time comes you'll know what its for." |
Yep. Time to skedaddle. For sure. Professor Bishop was looking at her and it felt like she was digging around in Lexi's head, which she was NOT keen on. HMPH. So averting her eyes she turned on her heel, gave Rafe an apologetic glance and headed for the portrait hole. Glancing back once to see if Kurumi was somewhat alright she climbed through and was out in the corridor before anyone could stop her. |
Jordan awoke from loud sounds of a spell from the Gryffindor Common Room. "What is going on?" Jordan muttered to himself while entering the room. Even the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team was in the Common Room, and that was unusual because he never saw him in there. So he knew something was going on. Then he saw Rose and William and suddenly remembered, I thought those two were enemies? As Jordan looked around confused, he decided to take a seat where he began reading his copy of Quidditch Through the Ages. |

not quoting Taylor as nobody knows what Selina's seeing, yet. Text Cut: Rafe, Kurumi...Lexi's exit (lol she wasn't poking around but points for the detail xD) Selina definitely didn't look like whatever was happening to her was good, but Renée still wanted to get all the details she could before doing anything. If even just so she could make sure everyone who was now involved wasn't about to go off the deep end with worry or bizarre theories. It seemed at least Kurumi had relayed a basic idea of what was happening to the others, so there wasn't a need for that. She'd sent a smile to the boy who suddenly established that it had been his Patronus that had brought her here, however. "I'm glad as well, although I wouldn't recommend sending Patronus messages out if you're not certain they'll get where they're going," she said gently, unable to not do a bit of random teaching. Random only because it was far from her subject. "And I sent my own Patronus out with a message to someone else who . . . knows a bit about what might happen." At least, regarding what she was planning on trying, considering she hadn't discussed Selina's gift with anyone else. And she had to stop herself from saying 'someone else who I trust,' as that would definitely cause more questions than necessary right now. Either way, he wanted to help, so she nodded again before adding, "We may need to get the headmaster or Healer Moretti, but we'll see." At least he could feel like he was a part of this, even if it was just as someone on call for retrieving more people if they were required. Before returning her attention to Selina and Kurumi, however, she noticed Lexi make an odd movement before heading for the portrait hole. Averting her eyes, which made Renée narrow hers a bit in contemplation. Perhaps more people suspected her ability than she'd thought, but either way, the blonde was out in the corridor and she needed to go back to the problem at hand. Selina, and calming Kurumi down before she got way too shaken up. "Okay," she said, nodding slightly again as the girl gave her a time frame. Ten minutes wasn't long, comparatively, so getting her back was still possible. She didn't say anything regarding the reference to the discussion in her office, however. That wasn't information that was entirely necessary, as it was obvious before the words were said. She did give Kurumi another gentle smile, though. "Can you let Selina's hand go for a moment? You can stay right here, but I want to try something and don't want you unnecessarily caught up in it," she explained softly, trying to keep things from the others in the common room. The small group already involved was one thing, but she didn't want to set up any other panic. It seemed they were back at her idea, which she'd never tried before, and she needed to center herself before trying. Getting access to the vision was one thing, but she didn't want to drag Kurumi into it as well. Connection was a variable she was particularly unsure about controlling. |
SPOILER!!: Bishop, Rafe, Kurumi and of course Selina Before an answer was given to his question about who was the patronus for, Professor Bishop arrived to assist confirming one of Simon's thoughts on who had been summoned. "Professor," he greeted calmly in return of her use of his own name with a nod simply watching the woman and the two girls since there wasn't anything for him to do. After a moment he opened his mouth to question but closed it as Rafe spoke the very question that had came to mind...was there anyone else needed or anything to do. The captain simply waited for any answer the professor were to give. Simon nodded as Kurumi finally found her voice to respond to him having figured that might be the case but if there was anything he knew it was to cover all bases. 10 minutes?! Dear Merlin... Hearing Kurumi's answer to the durration of Selina's current state, Simon's own worry for his housemate and friend intensified. He sighed trying to be strong for Kurumi's sake in hopes to at least be able to keep her as ok as he could. Simon's attention was grabbed once more as Professor Bishop mentioned patronus' and how to properly handle them, momentarily exchanged glances with Rafe at the mention and reminded of how he had opted not to just let his defense students just try out patronus' without experience. At the older woman's instructions for Kurumi to let go of Selina, Simon decided to step in and help ease the third year back. "Come..." he said quietly, slipping his hand in her free one and giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Let's give Professor Bishop just a little room...Selina will still know you are here," he added with a gentle smile as he tried to gently guide her back just a step or two...still very much right there. |

The younger Selina looked confused at the older version of herself. What did she mean when the time came she would know what it was used for? She now had some foreign tattoo on her body and she was just supposed to roll with the punches for this? Selina wanted answers and she had someone right in front of her with the answers, but yet the answers were unavailable to her. If she asked the older Selina she knew that the girl would give her some variation of that when she experienced this moment she wasn't told by her older self. So it was a lost cause. "So I have to just wait with the whole tattoo thing? I just walk around with it for no rhyme or reason? That doesn't seem very fair." The younger Selina complained. The older Selina chuckled and crossed her arms, "Well sometimes life isn't fair kid. I think we both know that better than most. Isn't that why we have these tattoos? They are a symbol of hardships. But listen it is the hard times that make the good times great. You have to go through the mud to make the journey mean something. If you just walk on ice your entire life you'll never actually learn anything." "Wow," the younger Selina sighed, "you're so insightful. I turn into this person here?" "Yeah," the older Selina nodded, "but hey, I'm not much better than I was at twelve. I've stayed pretty consistent and so have the people around me. Speaking of the people around me, you have some good people back there. I know because I've already had this happen to me. You see you can't hide anything from me... I know this is around the time where you and Kurumi have your first fight." "First fight?" The younger Selina mused. "'Course little me. People fight, especially people as different as you and Kurumi. But she is a good kid and an even greater woman. You'll need her and she'll need you to be there as friends. Don't ever underestimate the power of your friendship. Ever. She is a great friend to you and she's a great friend to me. So forgive her. I know the coddling and the constant questions about your feelings can get on your nerves Selina Skylar... but wouldn't you rather have someone who cares about your feelings? Not just blow you off." The present Selina said, "Is this the point of the vision? Me and Kurumi's friendship?" "No... but it is still some sound advice." |
