She loved being in Hufflepuff, it was a great and noble house. Plus, badgers were cute.
The boy started to speak again and Ophelia tilted her head, confusion evident in the way she pursed her lips. Huh. “So if your legs just stopped working, you wouldn’t be afraid?” “You’re not really the king, Legend,” Ophelia said uncertainly. “Maybe the Gryffindor King, but certainly not Hogwarts’.” Eilish considered Ophelia's words. Hufflepuff? I suppose I could be a Hufflepuff . Better not get your hopes up though, she reminded herself. She was glad Ophelia seemed not to believe Legend was a king either, though she didn't sound completely sure herself. |

If there was a king at Hogwarts, surely Lulu would have informed her. Or...had Lulu cast Ophelia out? She bit down on her lower lip then glanced over at Eilish who looked doubtful as well. No. She couldn't let Eilish down. Clearing her throat, she tried to reassure Eilish. "I think Legend is full of hot air," she announced, winking at Eilish right after. "And if you were in Hufflepuff you'd have loads of fun." Though she didn't want to influence Eilish that much. "I mean...I have friends in the other houses but," she dropped her voice to a whisper, leaning towards Eilish. "Hufflepuff is the best house, to be quite honest." Ophelia reached her hand into the bag of jelly beans and took some more. Now she had chocolate and jelly beans. Such a great way to start off the term. |

"..because that'd be spooky." Okay, she was doing it again- Babbling. Ahem.
The third year looked through the window again. "You know if you're looking for a compartment, this one's free.." She squeezed her eyes. "Well, there are a few free seats anyways." Rolling her eyes, she woke up really early and still couldn't take one for herself. And for the evil broom.
"I know I am going in." She said opening the door and reaching down for her two connected bags. "Five victims are enough I think." She grinned at him and then threw another disgusted look at the laid down broom.
It would've been awesome if she just pretended to 'forget' all about it and sit inside without holding a BIG stick next to her. But nooo, she had to spend alot of money on something she disliked and yet had to learn. "It would be," Dallin agreed seriously, his eyebrows scrunching together as he imagined a broom going on a hitting spree. "Very spooky." He couldn't help but chuckle as he said this. Spooky probably wouldn't be his word of choice in this case.
Sort of surprised by the sudden change of subject, Dal leaned sideways to look into the compartment the girl was referring too. Seeing that it was indeed empty, he lifted the front of his trunk and dragged it into the compartment behind the girl. He smiled as she mentioned five victims... maybe the broom had gone on a hitting spree. "If you don't mind me asking, what's up with that thing?" Dallin nodded to the broom as he lifted his trunk onto the rack in the compartment. Once he was satisfied that it was secure he sat down on one of the benches, stretching his legs out in front of him. "Oh! And uh, my name's Dallin. Just incase you were wondering." He realized after he said that that it was possible she wasn't wondering, but he figured that if he was going to share a compartment with her than she might as well know his name.

Aurora poked her head round the door of a compartment and grinned, empty. She quickly changed into her school robes and fixed her tie, she was too excited to wait. She dug out her new potions book and slumped into a seat, burying her nose in the book, she supposed Mordred or Selador would find her eventually but, even if they didn't, she guessed that she'd end up sharing her compartment and she wanted to read some more of this book before she had to keep up a conversation.

"Hufflepuff is great because I'm in it," she said cheekily, then added: "And you will be too." Because she felt a sort of friendship bubbling between them. They just had to be in the same house. Ophelia wouldn't have it any other way. "I'm only teasing," she said quickly, eating a few more jelly beans to satisfy her craving for sugar. She almost could hear her mother's nagging voice in the back of her mind reminding her of why her baby fat remained in the first place. Ophelia shrugged the thought away, not caring about that right now. Sweets would forever be on the top of her list. |

*sigh*
Looking away from the window and finally relaxing some he turned back to the girl. "Yeah Ravenclaw seems pretty cool. I know that your all's Common Room is cool and above ground like ours in one of the Towers. The other two house are really unlucky with that situation." he nodded. He then randomly got hungry and hoped the feast was as good as usual this term. "Are you excited for seventh year?" Riley's comment about Ravenclaw seeming cool made her smile - yeah that was almost a constant she was as you could say happy-go-lucky...and sometimes, well often sarcastic - and sometimes her mum's french heritage snuck in there and she'd have a moment of rude-frenchness. Was brilliant when it happened.
She looked up, nodding, "Well Gryffindor's also cool in that respect seeing we are the only houses not in Dungeons - I do have to say its nice to not wake up to the smell of mildew in the morning." And sunlight, that was a plus for the girl who would sleep in all day if she never saw sunlight. ""Oh, yeah I am excited - but also nervous for some reason...more because I don't want to make a complete fool of myself like usual...they don't call me the clumsy one for no reason - well, I don't really know if people call me that here...my Aunt and mum do though" she admitted with a laugh. "Anyhow, how about you?" She asked, as she spoke she began to play with the edge of her skirt - there was a rather annoying loose string that she was far too lazy right now to fix.

I'm actually looking for friends whom I could meet. And I'm happy I've met at least one, you." Danielle smiled at Lara. Thinking about Lara's name made Danielle remember her second name, Zara. "Hey Lara, what if you call me Zara instead of Danielle? Some of my friends call me that, like Daichi, Nessie, Tyler, and the rest. You can call me that too. She said.

It was rather difficult for the tiny girl to move ahead on the corridor, as she was holding her cat's cage and lots of other luggage. She finally found an empty compartment towards the front of the train and took one of the window seats.
Watching out the window absent-mindedly, Ari was thinking what a big change Hogwarts was going to be. She would definitely miss her family, her muggle friends from her village in Yorkshire, and it would take some time to adapt. Those were the most obvious downsides of going to school.
As for the positive aspects, she couldn't wait to explore the old castle, learn how to use her magic, and most of all make new friends. She remembered all the lovely people she had met on Diagon Alley just a few weeks before. They were on the train, of course, but Ariadne was too tired to go looking for them through the crowd, and besides, she was sitting very comfortably. Even Pluto the cat had already fallen asleep. Melina was tiptoe-ing past each compartment, sometimes ducking a student's low-flying luggage and sometimes bumping into an upperclassmen (who looked at her as if she was an irritating fly that landed on his arm). She was getting nervous! Where was Ari? Was she on the train yet? But before she could think of anymore worrisome questions, she spotted her best friend from Diagon Alley. "Hey!" she exclaimed as she pushed herself, her backpack, and two little cages through the compartment door.
She ran over and gave Ari a HUGE hug, and then sat down just across from her. "How are you? Merlin's polka-dot socks, can you believe we're on the train? This is so amazing. Are you as nervous as I am? And excited, too, of course."
She placed her two pygmy puffs on the seat next to her, and began digging through her backpack. Her eyes lit up triumphantly as she pulled out a large pink bag with the label Sugarplums emblazoned on it. The bag was practically sagging from the weight of the sweets inside.
She pulled out two sugar quills, and handed one to Ari. "I bought these for us that day we were in Diagon Alley. Oh, and there are TONS of goodies we can share in here, too!" |

Hmm. Not a new student. That proves her luck was just being stupid, letting a firstie and then a second year go through boys!hell. Never mind. Looking back at him, she realized that he wasn't quite... young enough for a second year. " So what year are you in?" She leant her head back against the seat and her arm rested on the window's rail.

Well not this prefect. Having just exited the prefect compartment where her Gyr falcon had had a bit of an adverse reaction to being around so many people, she was now looking for a not so crowded compartment. Balancing the cage on her arms, Ivory zipped forward through the corridor.
Making soft shushing sounds to the bird inside the cage, she lifted a corner of her jacket to look at him. "Shh its okay, Gavin."
Of course this was exactly how it came to be that she found herself roaming the train peeking into compartments.
Nope too full.
Nah, too many felines.
AhA!
Spying one that appeared to only have two people, Ivory stepped forward hesitantly knocking on the compartment door before she opened it.
Shrugging her long hair over she shoulder, Ivy smiled shyly at the two Ravenclaws she was sure she'd talked to at some point. "Hello, sorry to interrupt but would you guys mind if I joined you?"
Pretty please.

He wasn't that good either? Well, that was encouraging! Somehow. "Did you practice everyday till you got better?" She was curious, as usual. "Because I have no idea how I'm going to train myself on not feeling dizzy whenever my feet leave the ground." She smiled awkwardly.
Hmm. Not a new student. That proves her luck was just being stupid, letting a firstie and then a second year go through boys!hell. Never mind. Looking back at him, she realized that he wasn't quite... young enough for a second year. "So what year are you in?" She leant her head back against the seat and her arm rested on the window's rail. Dallin smiled at her skepticism. He didn't really get why being a not-so-good flyer was a big deal, but different people worried about different things he supposed. Although Quidditch was a huge thing at Hogwarts so... maybe a lot more people thought it was important than he thought.
When she asked about practicing Dal had to keep himself from laughing. "I practiced whenever I could," he said honestly, "But I could only practice at school, when I could get the Quidditch pitch to myself. So..." he shrugged again. "But I got the hang of it after a while." He half-smiled back at her and asked, "Do you go to the flying lessons at Hogwarts? I've never been, but I've heard Professor Vindictus is good." He didn't know why he was being so helpful, but he sort of liked it.

Pretty please. He looked at the door sharply when he heard a knock. He smiled in a friendly way at the girl wearing the prefect badge. "Yeah, sure, come on in." He glanced at Louisa to see if she had any objections, but assumed she didn't. "You're the Ravenclaw prefect?" he asked bluntly, looking at her badge. He scooted over on his seat to give the girl room if she wanted to sit down. "I'm Dallin, by the way. And this is Louisa."

She shouldn't be bothered because of his decision. "We've just come together, I didn't want to be seperated again," he muttered, one hand playing with her hair. Nodding at her, he said "I need to over-work, though. Probably I won't have that much to study for my NEWTs..." But he didn't care. It was all worth it for EVERTON. Smiling at her, he said "I'll also call Chelsea... Actually, I don't want a too big club before I get the hang of it, because then I'll probably be reduced to only subs, but Chelsea is my real dream, and... I dunno, it's hard." He laughed uneasily. He didn't want to dream about anything, because he didn't want any devastation if he couldn't make it. "Let's just hope I'll impress them." Mina tried to smile, but it didn't fully reach her eyes this time. She wanted nothing more than to be back with Evan and she had received that, but she didn't want him to have to turn down an opportunity of a lifetime for her. Hearing that there was another chance for him after school was over did help though. She couldn't have been able to live with herself if he didn't have another chance. Seriously, she would have understood if he chose to go. It would have hurt her, but she would have supported him fully on it. She did just want him to be happy. "I know, but if we were seperated again I would have understood. We have been through so much. I could have been strong and dealt with it," she replied with a soft sigh as she leaned into his touch. He had waited two years for her return, she would have waited for him as well if he had taken the offer. "Well, I have the utmost faith that you will but more than 120% into working." She would worry about her own tests and he could focus on his training. Books and tests were more her thing anyway. "Chelsea would be blessed to have you. I'm sure they'll keep their eye on you for sure." She knew how much it would mean to him to get called there and she have confidence in him and his abilites. "You will impress them, I'm sure of it." |

She'd gotten lost a lot her first year, but always managed to find someone to help her to her class. "Do you know what house you're going to be in, or do you have to be sorted with the firsties? How does that work?" "No I already know that I'll be in Gryffindor." Krissa said. "What house are you in?" She questioned Adelyn. She seemed very friendly, which Krissa appreciated greatly. ooc: I have no idea how that works, but imma pretend like I do |

ooc: hah, just go with it "Really that's awesome!" Krissa said. She was glad to know at least one person in her house going it. She didn't mention that she didn't really need someone to stand up for her. It was a sweet gesture. "So what happens when we get to Hogwarts anyways?" Krissa questioned. She figured the traditions were different at different schools. |
