Nika looked around at the crowd things were starting to get out of control real fast. Thank goodness Tate was on the way. Where was he anyways! Merlin how slow can you be! Why was everyone talking like pirates. Nika heard Sierra talking and truthfully she didn't understand one word of it. What was wrong with these people!

"Carter, what's going on?" She had managed to get him to stop long enough to put her other hand on his cheek. It was the first time that she had looked into his eyes and seen that he was worried about something. Her eyes looked back at him with a tender look of concern. She would loved to take all his worry away at that moment. She put her other hand his other cheek and kissed him. It was a kiss like she had never kissed him before.

It had happened so fast the she had for just a second forgotten, everything. But it came back to her. "What's wrong with Anya?" She asked. Still looking at him but one hand back on his cheek. Whatever it was she was sure it had to do with the rune reading. She really didn't believe it such rubbish Rune readings and Divination. She knew how much he loved his sister. So since it was about her, she knew that it really meant something to him.

Carter had to get to his common room and then head to the owlery. The rune made it clear just how bad things could go and he wanted to put his plans on hold until he thought of everything. And then thought of everything else.

All of a sudden someone was grabbing his hand.

Caroline? How long had she been following him? He stopped. What was wrong? Well... he may be about to make a huge mistake and ruin his family. That wasn't really an answer you'd tell your girlfriend though, was it?

Before he could think of anything appropriate to say he was being kissed. After getting over the initial shock he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her back.

He recovered from his daze when Caroline asked about his sister. "Nothings wrong... yet." he said starting to pace. Oh, why did it take so long to think? He just need to make a decision. But he couldn't. WHY was it so loud on this hall? Glancing down the hall he spotted a gathering of people talking pirate-like. They must have been working on their History of Magic assignment.

"Come on, let's go upstairs." closer to the common room he said climbing the stairs two at a time.

Presley Black 06-13-2011 03:27 AM

Presley was still running when she reached the fifth floor corridor, and tears of terror were spilling down her face. Somebody might have just died. This was terrifying to the eleven year old child. "I've just talked to Tate," she choked out. "I think he's coming." She had run from his office, hopefully he had followed her.

holy crap lol! i read you all dnt worry...

Between Kurumi yelling Parlay, wands drawn against himself and Lexi and about half the crowd trying to take shots at them with hexes and fists, Salander's brain felt like swiss cheese, instincts pulling him in two different directions. Whats going on? Why are they yelling and fighting?.... Arrrrr why be the landlubbers still har? Warnt they told t' scram already? Tryin' to take shots at them too be they?

He timed Lexi's wand to be pointed away from him as he cast a strong shield charm over the small area right infront of the red X. Arrr gotta protect the lovely booty from these buccaneers. Aye thats what they be, each and everyone of them.

He calls out to Ivan clearly in his voice, but as soon as the Ravenclaw starts flicking the coin that haze takes over again. Aye this be here his mateys, with one last straggler he hopes would come around soon.

He shifts his head to young Sierra, eyeing the Ravenclaw lassy being pulled away by the young landlubber. Aye blackspotted indeed Master.... Would ne'er forget that. Gar....

Keeping his eye, and wand, on Lexi he reaches behind him and touches the red X. He drew his hand to himself, rubbing his fingers together. "Aye who be it that would want t' rev'l this most sacred spot?" he mutters as he eyes Lexi suspiciously "It be yer lot wouldnt it? Tryin' to sabotage 'n keep all th' gold fer yerselfs be ye?"

Cinn-O-Bun 06-13-2011 04:14 AM

Ivan held on to his coin tightly as he caught the look Lexi gave his coin. "Don't ye even think o' it ye scallywag. This here be mine." And if she tried anything.... He smirked and was about to test what she would do if he messed with her when he heard his matey start to speak he looked around to find who they were talking about.

Hmph. He turned his eyes back to Lexi and nodded, "Aye, Jack o' Cups tis their lot. Tis not a hand of ours so surely of theirs." That's right. We know you're trying to get what is ours. He flipped the coin again with a smirk his eyes still wide.

Samira was walking down the fifth floor corridor out of sheer boredom when she spotted a big group of students. She spotted signature pink hair which she instantly recognized as Nika's. Samira moved closer for further inspection, and her eyes widened at what she saw.

"Um...guys? Nika? What's going on?"

Not before Lexi screamed her lungs out, of course - which surprised Orlando to the core. He had, honestly, never seen that side of her - it was scary and displeasing.

The boy frowned when Lexi said what she said. It surprised him, it saddened him - what happened to the 'I walk away .. rather than having fights' Lexi. There was no controlling Ryden of course, she was angry .. really really angry. He understood why. Yet another Gryffindor was bullying her. And it was Lexi, this time - the girl he was starting to be friends with. Orlando was disappointed. AND getting panicky by the minute. HE wanted to help Ryden but wasn't sure HOW. Because it was obviously all going nowhere. He decided that before the professors showed up, he had to get Ryden out of there.

However, before he could try to do anything - Lexi had cast a spell at Ryden and basically insulted her .. really rudely about her being little. "Seriously, Lexi. I thought you said .. you wanted to set an example." he stated - grabbing Ryden's arm even before she turned toward him. "That was very rude." He said, looking at the girl - Where was the Lexi he had been talking to in the Common Room?

When Ryden's expression demanded, he helped her - Orlando dragged her away from the crowd. "Come on, time to leave!" he said - his expression serious. Before they left, Orlando reached for his wand, flicking it lightly at her direction, he muttered the counter curse for Lexi's spell.

Ryden could kill him later.

Time to LEAVE?! What on earth was Koala Boy talking about? Silly boy, she was NOT leaving until she'd at least gotten one of these mad pirates to admit they'd been pirate-y. Or to see that mad girl hung, drawn and quartered. That was also an acceptable outcome of this. Eyes wide and still with no voice, Ryden struggled against him as he pulled her away, only realising once they were a bit further away from the group that she could speak again.

"ORLANDO. I'm serious. I'm not leaving. I will not be made a fool of by a group of insane kids..." she trailed off, her head whipping around back to the group as they all went all pirate again. "LOOK. What is UP with that?!" she ranted, eyeing them murderously.

Ryden snarled as yet ANOTHER mad pirate - this time one even smaller than her - talked to her. Black spotted? LAD?!?!?! WHAT IN THE WORLD DID THIS GIRL THINK SHE WAS DOI- Oh. But of course. They all thought they were PIRATES so they could just hand out black spots. Technically, the Mini Mad Pirate had just cursed her to death. AND called her a boy. Eyes narrowing, Ryden stood her ground, shooting a dirty look at both Mini Mad Pirate and the Slytherin boy she almost punched who, incidentally, had also blackspotted her as a boy, but added nothing.

Perhaps Koala Boy was right. Plus, from all the way over here, Ryden began to see that the pirates were not just the ONE group. They were two. Two groups quarreling that silly red X that had been duplicated on all of them. Which had BETTER not be actual blood, otherwise she'd lose whatever sanity she had left and go on a killing rampage. She'd massacre them all.

... Oh, and to add to the crazy, a couple not too far off were kissing.

Eyes swiveling as a newcomer arrived, the brunette sighed and looked towards the ceiling. Ignorant people annoyed her immensely. "People are acting like pirates over this bizarre X that's both on the wall and on our foreheads AND they apparently don't realise they're pirates. Unless of course this is one huge practical joke and they're just pulling people's legs," Ryden briefed her, before turning back to Koala Boy.

"What's Tate like?" she asked, rather out of the blue, because she had a feeling that if she talked to the pirate people she'd either blow herself up or one of them. And Ryden didn't think that anyone would like the repercussions of that. At any rate, he was coming.

Buggy-Boo 06-13-2011 03:19 PM

Ronnie was getting a little angry. They were NOT paying attention to her and as soon as the captian found out their were all off their stations they would all be flogged! She stood her ground and yelled. "Oy there scalywags." She looked around to see if any one was paying attention. "BACK TO STATIONS!" She shouted thinking that the first mate ought to put these people back in order.

But then again the first mate had...umm....never mind. "Ye be warned!" She finally said looking for the captian. "Capt'in be out soon, and ye be flogged if ye not work'n" She said. She smiled and soundly thought of a really good joke.

In her mind, she instantly thought that Mr. Viking had written on the wall. He made no sense when he spoke, so she assumed the same was for his writing.

Then, her eyes widened a bit. She had read about red writing on the walls of Hogwarts before and THAT time hadn’t been good.

MERLOIN’S GHOST! SOMEONE HAD OPENED THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS AGAIN!:whaa:

Jogging a bit closer, Kurumi saw many familiar faces. “S-S-Someone trying to start a scavenger hunt?” she asked innocently popping her head between Salander and Vashti. Kurumi peered a bit closer and did probably one of the dumber things to do in the situation – stuck out her hand and pressed it against the bottom part of the right side if the X. It was a little wet and sticky to touch.

Iris looked at the younger Gryffindor as she appeared and asked her question. The Head Girl shook her head. " 'fraid not, Kurumi. This is no scavenger hunt. Not one the teachers could have planned, anyway..."

"Well, sink me!" she exclaimed. "What are ye corsairs doing 'round here?"

She peered around at each member of the group, her eyes finally falling on the red X that apparently marked the spot. "Hmm," she mumbled, "who graffiti'ed the wall?" Could have come up with something a little more clever to say, hmm?

... Gosh. There were SO many people passing by here today. Normally this part of the corridors were really empty... Seeing Sierra, Iris frowned. Why was she talking like a pirate? "This X. That's why.... and we don't know."

Glancing at the little Slytherin (Sierra) Lexi squinted her good eye and pulled a face. "It's ye who knows where the booty is. DON'T YE?! Well go on then you filthy bilge rat! Tell us where it be!"

People were getting upset. He huffed through his nose and started to smirk nonchalantly. He just found it amusing to see people get worked up over something trivial....

Then suddenly something came over him. First he heard Lexi arguing with Sierra and yelling booty then he saw Kurumi eyeing the X and sticking her finger in....

An inexplicable rumble emitted from his lips, then rushed to push people aside and yanked Kurumi's hand from the wall. "Yarr! Dun touch that nosey vermin! Keep yer filthy hands to yerthelf!" he yelled over the din at the young Gryffindor, gripping her hand above her head and glared down "Who told ye to touch that ey? Who sent ye snoopin' around?!?" he growled then pushed her away as he released her hand.

He planted himself firmly in front of the X, trying to block it from people's view "Aye, what be you all starin' at? Ha'ent any o' you seen a red X bef'r?" He took out his wand and cast a spell, splattering a red X on each of their foreheads, save for Sierra and Lola "Thar, why dun ye all stare at thar Xses on them noggins eh? Thar's nothin' to spy wit' har, move along! Move along!"

Iris glanced at Salander as he started yelling at Kurumi. Iris hadn't even seen her go near the X. "Oi, Salander. She was only doing what everyone else here is too afraid of doing. There's no need to yell at her and call her names!" FROWN.

As the boy moved and stood in front of the X, Iris raised her eyebrow and moved closer to the boy. Haven't we seen a red X before? "Well, actually; no. Not on a wall in Hogwarts, at least and certainly not in something that looks like blood." Watching as he took out his wand, Iris clenched her teeth together. "What in the name of Merlin are you doing? Put that wand down right now." ... What? ... WHAT THE HELL?! Turning around and looking at the students nearest to her, Iris gasped. "What the heck have you done that for, Salander? Get rid of them, NOW." This meant SHE had an X on her forehead too, didn't it? GAH. This better be reversible.

"Actually, NO. No one is moving from where they're stood until a teacher gets here." Mainly because she wanted this X off her head, and she wasn't risking using something to get rid of it herself.

You know, he started to believe this was nothing, just someone painting corridor and playing a joke on them. It was probably Jacob, by the way, since he was the one who knew most about pirates, and the whole 'ship' suggestion made sense. Pirates used X's on maps, no?

He was thinking of leaving, and then someone will send him a flying memo of how this all turned out, but then Lola happened.

"I did nothing," he said, shaking his head, he didn't even notice the redness until the Ravenclaws pointed it out to him. And...she called him Treyen. He missed being called Train, though. But, yeah, whatever. AND WHAT WAS SHE DOING WITH HER WAND AGAIN!?

And what was she sayiiiiing?! He understood nothing Lady Awesome, Sierra, nor Lola were saying.

"I told you not to point your wand at me," he glared first, and then waved her wand away. His other hand was already holding his wand for Lola, and the only one that could see that was probably the Ravenclaw boy (Eino) who was standing behind him...

...hey, why was he standing behind him??

He snapped out of the glaring once Salander spoke...and...yeah, said...whatever he'd said. And then...WHAAAAT?! Blink. He instantly started to try and wipe off whatever SALAMANDER had sent upon them...Blink.

Spotting Treyen, Iris dashed over to him. She was still frowning. "It's no use, these things aren't going to come off like that." Iris hadn't even tried to but she just knew that.

But anyway; more important things. "Someone's done something to Salander. He's not his usual self..."

Looking around at the students, she'd ignored most of their conversations and ideas and suggestions. Some of them looked annoyed, others looked scared. Overhearing one of the younger students saying Tate was on his way, Iris looked back to the Hufflepuff Prefect with a worried face. "Treyen, we have to make sure that everyone stays where they are... They need to have those X's removed; they're obviously something more dangerous than face paint."

"EVERYONE LISTEN TO ME." She yelled, looking around. "No one is to leave this corridor until Headmaster Tate gets here. NO ONE. I don't know what this X is that Salander has put on our foreheads and I don't know how to get rid of them. Nor do I know if they'll have any other kind of effect on us. Stay here, and Tate will know how to get rid of them. Anyone and everyone with the wands out: put them away NOW. There's no need for them."

As he cast a protective sheild around him and the X, Iris rolled her eyes. This boy REALLY was not in his right state of mind. "What are you doing that for, now?!"

... gold?

...

GOLD?!

What on Earth was he waffling on about. "Why would any of these students want to sabotage some gold? ... Why would there even be any gold in the wall?" Yes, he was talking to Lexi. However, Iris was stood very close to the protective bubble and had exceptionally brilliant hearing.

Walking away from the X, Iris rubbed her temples and leant against the opposite wall. Closing her eyes, she sighed and slid down the wall so she was sat on the floor. Not knowing what was going on really frustrated her, and these X's weren't helping. A nice, quiet year at Hogwarts. That's all she wanted for her last year in the place. That was obviously never going to happen though, was it?

More to the point, Iris wished that this was all just going to be an elaborately ridiculous practical joke. However, she was really beginning to doubt that idea. Salander just really didn't seem himself right now. Like... a someone-casted-a-spell-of-sorts-on-him-and-now-he-doesn't-know-that-he's-being-an-evil-pirate kind of not seeming like himself.

Aurora sighed, thank goodness Iris was here. SOMEONE with some sort of sense. She still didn't want to lower her wand so she stayed put, watching Iris slide down to sit on the floor. Oh no... if even the head girl didn't know what to do then surely something was wrong, what if Tate had no idea? What if she was stuck with this hideous red X on her forehead..? What if everyone died! No... that was being ridiculous, no need to get hysterical. With her non-wand hand she reached into the pocket of her robes and took out her bag of Jelly Babies, popping one into her mouth. It squealed and she smiled as she bit it's head off and it fell silent. Honestly, she didn't know what the point of muggle Jelly Babies were if they didn't squeal. The familiar taste of the Jelly Babies relaxed her and she surveyed the scene curiously, never daring to move from her safe spot backed against the wall.

Erindipity 06-13-2011 08:41 PM

Fail post... Meh.

Lexi rolled her eyes at Salander and jabbed her wand at him and scowled. He was REALLY getting on her nerves at the moment. She kept her wand trained on him and just GLARED.

Then Orlando was talking to her again... FEH. Turning her head ever so slightly she simply looked at him and SHRUGGED. "Oh well... sometimes I am rude," she spat the words at him. It was true. Sometimes she was rude. Salander could attest to that since he was SO fed up with her. Well... the feeling was quite mutual at the moment.

Oi. They were all making her head hurt.

The Big Head Girl was YAKKING at her now. Lexi huffed in her general direction and said, "Th spot is what it marks, innit? Ye can't read?" Pfffft. And the shouting. THAT was going to make her PUKE. Lexi rolled her eye once more and just snorted.

She would leave if she darn well felt like it. Iris was not going to make her do anything she didn't want to do.

...

Unfortunately she did HAVE to stay there to make sure the scallywags didn't try to make off with her gold. She eyed Ivan and his SHINY and just... stood there, wand trained on Sal and a glare in place. Stupid heads. All of them.

GrapehSarah 06-13-2011 08:52 PM

Fallon took in the chaos that was starting to erupt. She was glad when that girl that had gone to get Tate came back. She didn't see Tate, but figured that he must be coming soon. Things were still going crazy. The pirate talk was starting to freak Fallon out. She was so glad when Iris started to take control of the situation. Fallon pulled away from the group, keeping her eyes out for Tate.

Nika was starting to get dizzy with all of this chaotic mayhem. It was starting to become too much to handle. Nika smiled when she saw the head girl. She had never met her before, but the badge was a big give away. She was relieved that at least someone with a bit of authority was here. Where was Tate though?! Nika was beaming at the girl. But then... they weren't allowed to leave?! But everyone's yelling and fighting and ahhhh!!

Cassirin 06-14-2011 01:49 AM

Tate meandered in the wake of the ineffective tattler, although he picked up speed as the rabble from the fifth floor corridor reached him. What the...? Why were there so many people here? And why were they fussing at each other?

"We need..." There was no way he was going to be heard, and even his tall figure looming over students at the edge of the crowd didn't seem to be drawing anyone's attention.

"EVERYONE NEEDS TO CALM THE HELL DOWN." He set up a crack of sound with his wand to draw their attention. It was possible he wasn't going to be able to handle this crowd on his own. Now... who could keep a level head?

Samira Malfoy Potter 06-14-2011 01:52 AM

Samira cringed as the Headmaster came and raised his voice. Finally, they had some authority! She turned to Nika again. "Well this is something you don't see everyday..."

Tatertot... GIIIIIIGLE. He made Lexi giggle shouting at everyone. THAT was what she had been trying to do the whole time. Get them to shut the hell up so she could get to the bottom of things. Thank you Headmaster.

Lexi took this time to jab her wand into the side of Sal's neck and kept her eye on him. Literally. That one eye. SNORT. Leaning in a little closer she whispered, "Ye will be flappin' them gums telling me where the Cap'n's gold is ye scallywag." JABJABJAB.

sweetpinkpixie 06-14-2011 02:15 AM

Kurumi had continued to yell parlay while everything was going on. Salander had said something to her, but she couldn't really understand that once again. Next thing she knew, Lexi was telling her that the code was merely guidelines and not absolute law. Weren't most things in life like that?

Then fists were flying and Kurumi flailed her arms a bit more, red paint splattering from her hands and onto the walls along with the red paint on her forehead thanks to Salander's handy work dripping down her face.

Then, the Headmaster appeared and with a LOUD bang began shouting at them. Probably a good time for her to cease flailing about and yelling parlay, right?

Still, his sudden appearance made her jump backwards...towards the wall unfortunately. Kurumi bounced off the shield charm Salander had cast on the wall around the X and crashed right into his side before twirling around and sprawling onto Lexi who was near him.

"S-S-S-S-SORRY!" she squeaked. Her eyes widened when she saw that both of them now had rather large red hand prints on their clothing. She began bowing over and over again.

She then turned her attention to Headmaster Tate, who probably wasn't all that excited to see her again in the thick of trouble...or whatever it was she was in the middle of. Still, Kurumi waddled her way towards the Headmaster. Yep, she would just stand riiiiiiiiight here...

"Well sink me!" Sierra yelled, hearing the cracking sound coming from down the corridor. She stepped back to Salamander's side and looked toward the direction of the sound. Oh. It was the Big Guy. The Head Honcho. The Man at the Top. Tate, they called him. Or... "Headmaster Tate..." Her voice trailed off as she expected a sudden silence to follow the cracking sound.

Everyone needed to calm the hell down? Hmm... "I'll say," she muttered afterward. Then, not wanting to end up the only one speaking in a crowd full of people that were likely about to be in a load of trouble, she quietened down...and stepped away from the wall a little. See if she was going to get caught standing by the graffiti when the headmaster caught sight of it.

Cassirin 06-14-2011 02:30 AM

Sigh. Why did they have wands pulled on each other? And the X's on foreheads? Some of them were covered in the red substance from the wall... or at least Kurumi was. Funny how that kid kept finding herself in the center of things, wasn't it? He tried not to scowl at her.

SIGH SIGH SIGH. Tate flicked his wand down the corridor, sending his patronus in search of Max. No reason not to have his Deputy around to sort things out, was there?

"Wands away, I think."

ArianaBlack 06-14-2011 02:40 AM

Nika could see the red from the X on her forehead drip down as she turned to Samira. BUT THEN BANG! Thank Merlin finally! What took him so long. "Hi headmaster." She said as she bowed her head slightly. Oh Merlin... oh merlin... oh merlin...

Oh no... everyone's in big trouble now.... She looked around and for the first time after all the yelling had ceased she saw what was going on clearly. People were getting extremely angered with their wands held up and Sierra and some others were still speaking pirate. The headmaster was probably very weirded out by now. Maybe he would call for some back up because he would need as much help as he could get. This was getting way too crazy as it is. Thank goodness the headgirl came to calm everyone down earlier.

Whistling as he ascended the stairs to the Fifth Floor, a rather scruffy-looking Vindictus stopped occasionally to test if any of the stones were loose in the wall. None of them budged. Drat!

Suddenly the voices in the corridor grew louder and he straightened his hat. "What appears to be the problem, matey?" he asked Tate rather loudly as he stepped into the corridor.

Steelsheen 06-14-2011 02:45 AM

all youses plus Tate and Vindy

Mind still swinging between utter confusion and extreme annoyance he had more people talking to than leaving. And poking their wands. Garrrr, what be making these landlubbers stay anyway? He gave them red Xs for souvenirs that they can stare at in the mirror all they want.... unless they wanted something else...

... Arrr they know! They suspect! All be more reason why he be staying right.here.

At the sound of a loud crack he head turned towards the direction of the Headmaster. Arrr the keeper of this here establishment. "Aye!" Calm down indeedy. Everybodys been taking an aim at them like they're a target. Maybe thats what these landlubber take the red X fer?

Wands away? He didnt feel like it-- he has a duty to protect! But with great difficulty he lowered his wand to his side, pointing it away so it would not harm anyone.

And then.. and then! Its him! That scallywag of a Captain! His hand gripped his wand even tighter, trying to keep his temper in check. Aye no need to make a scene infront of all these here crew and nosey landlubbers.

Samira Malfoy Potter 06-14-2011 02:46 AM

Ohhhhh they were in trouble now. Well, the person who put up the graffiti was. Samira just arrived and she was not going to get into trouble. Nope. Uh-Uh. No Sir-y. As inconspicuously as possible, Samira sunk to the back of the crowd next to Nika.

Eino tried to catch the Headmaster's patronus as it passed by him, but his fingers ran right through the light. He followed it to the end of the corridor but the patronus moved too fast for him, so he gave up halfway and returned to the X spot. Eino wondered who the Headmaster had called for, why he had called for someone, but most importantly how to perform a communicating patronus. Back by the X everything was so quiet now. Just a moment ago people were shouting, threatening each other, and shouting threats at each other.

Wands away... He thinks? What is that supposed to mean?! Eino crawled back behind Fallon and clung onto her robes. It was safe there.
