Transfers were a thing that happened quite often these days. Before Hugo wasn't even sure if that was possible but so many people had transferred to and from Hogwarts... "Where did you go to school before Hogwarts then?" Hugo asked. "You'll love it at Hogwarts, it's great," he said and thought about the feasts and the common room, curling up by the fire. Hogwarts was home.

He had a feeling Cass was trying to keep up appearances with her calm exterior but he couldn't blame her. It wouldn't have looked good to start freaking out in the middle of the train. She was a more rational person than that. Levi only wished he could be that serene at times but he was way too frenzied.
Relatives? Unfortunately no. He shook his head dismally. "I think my grandparents are dead and I can't remember if my mom had any. It's been so long since she left," he explained. "And I got a few cousins in Egypt I've never met before. I can't leave my sister home, though. Even if we aren't that close, she doesn't deserve to be stuck with him either." | |

"Hey Carmichael." Ivory greeted warmly to her fellow Ravenclaw. Yup, four hours ago seemed about right.
Turning back to the others, she assured them. "Don't worry guys, we'll be there before you know it."
She could imagine how difficult it was to stay still and wait for the train to arrive but the train rides were always some of her best experiences. It was a chance to meet new people, catch up on the latest gossip, get some studying in and even have fun. Maybe they just needed something to distract them.
Mentally nodding along to her decision, she gave the Headboy a light nudge with her elbow hoping he followed her lead.
"How about we pass the time getting to know eachother?" Turning towards Rose, she tuned all her attention on her. "I'm Ivory Erised, 5th year Ravenclaw prefect and I love to read, play my violin, and I absolutely abhor artificial orange flavoring." she offered with a bright smile. "What about you Rose, what do you like to do?"

Alice was looking around at all the other first years, nobody wanted to talk to her but she didn't mind. Not many people her age would talk to her back on the island because of the fact that she wasn't very... modern. Living as a Victorian child wasn't hard for her because she never had watched television, used a telephone, played a video game, rode in a modern car or anything. They did have a steam car because her family was rich. Although the upside was that she was allowed to read books, and read modern books too... the Victorian Historical Society didn't see it a problem for her to read books.
Alice had an extended bag in her trunk full of books but she didn't think she could get up into the trunk without knocking it over so she continued to just watch.

Kat bit her bottom lip, resisting the temptation to flinch and instead moved away from the foreign hand that had been placed on her shoulder, eyeing it rather accusingly and not even realising she was doing so. Her eyes went wide when the girl spoke again and moved up to meet the hers. She nodded quickly. “I'm fine. ..I fink.” she frowned and touched her shoulder where the girl had bashed her.. and then just touched. Yep. No damage. She merely blinked as the girl rambled on but was relieved SHE wasn't the one who had damaged the girl's face. “I fought I'd done that.” She gestured at the girl's face, tilting her head to the side as she looked at her. “Wot happened? Did you walk into somefink?” She frowned, concerned... and began to chew at her bottom lip again. It looked really painful.. and horribly familiar.
She let out a giggle as she watched the monkey, bowing her head a little and not really minding the contact from the little creature. “He's so CUTE!” She enthused brightly. “Wot's 'is name?” Tiny monkey! So ADORABLE! ^___^
She focused back on the girl and smiled slightly when she introduced herself. “Lexi. That's a very pretty name.” And she was totally sincere. “I'm Katrina. ..Or everyone calls me Kat.” She beamed brightly at the girl. “Where are you going? Do you mind if I come sit wiv you?” Because the fourth year knew NO ONE.  She felt (and probably looked) very much like a lost little sheep.

And they did need all the good players they could find to keep their streak going - winning another cup this year would be great...still, she felt maybe possibly foccusing half and half on homework and quidditch wouldn't be enough. She was going to focus on every aspect of the school this year.
Kyle was going to have a social life, be as sporty and fun as she could be - both with friends and possibly on the team, and well...with grades because she wanted to pass her NEWTs with flying colors. Snapping out of her revelation Kyle smiled.
"Oh Katra's in seventh year like me," Kyle smiled happily. "I was thinking of introducing her to James Wilkes, what do you think?" Kyle smiled and then the idea popped into her head.
"Selina I've got a question would like to join a school club with me - I know you are probably booked up with sports and stuff but how about yearbook?" She smiled knowing she would be happy to have her on the team with her.

Giving a small chuckle at the first year's response, Ivory shook her head ruefully her smile widening at the familiar voice at her back.
"Hey Carmichael." Ivory greeted warmly to her fellow Ravenclaw. Yup, four hours ago seemed about right.
Turning back to the others, she assured them. "Don't worry guys, we'll be there before you know it."
She could imagine how difficult it was to stay still and wait for the train to arrive but the train rides were always some of her best experiences. It was a chance to meet new people, catch up on the latest gossip, get some studying in and even have fun. Maybe they just needed something to distract them.
Mentally nodding along to her decision, she gave the Headboy a light nudge with her elbow hoping he followed her lead.
"How about we pass the time getting to know eachother?" Turning towards Rose, she tuned all her attention on her. "I'm Ivory Erised, 5th year Ravenclaw prefect and I love to read, play my violin, and I absolutely abhor artificial orange flavoring." she offered with a bright smile. "What about you Rose, what do you like to do?"
'Ummm... Well, I like reading...' Rose mused 'The book I'm reading right now is a book by two muggle authors P.C. and Kristin Cast and it's about vampires'

'Oh, hey Cleo!' Alice decided to get a book from her trunk after all. She stood on top of her seat, her spatted shoes, thankfully, clean didn't muss up the seat. She tried to open her trunk and get the extended bag of books but no such luck, she got the bag but it opened and all of her books fell out and one of them, sadly a hardcover one, hit a girl talking near her.
"Oh my goodness! I am terribly sorry! Are you hurt?" she asked as she jumped over all of the books looking at the girl worriedly.
