Armor Gallery

One of the corridors on the third floor is home to a large collection of armor. Be careful not to touch or the caretaker may give you detention to clean up your fingerprints (and everyone else's).

PatInTheHat 05-14-2011 03:48 AM

Arya had made a game out of gracefully weaving and twirling between the armor on the third floor, when she really should be treaking up to the library to study for OWLs. Oh well. Her books could continue to sit in her bag over on the far wall while she enjoyed her probably childish game. Did she care if her game was childish and possibly un-prefect like? No, all she cared about now was making it to the other end of the gallery.

Twiiirl.

Her mutated cat Sly hot on her heels, Destiny found herself on the third floor with no recollection of getting there. All she knew was she had to get away from that cat. Ever since she was forced to SHAVE him, he has done nothing but follow her around the castle. She didn't want to be seen with him!

He was bald! And he was BLUE!

Sure, she didn't mind that color anymore, but on a cat? No. Blue looked much better on a certain Beauxbatoner. Hehe.

Breaking into a run, because really, a mutated BLUE cat was behind her, Destiny turned a corner and was grateful for what she saw. A bunch of armor that she could easily hide behind. She continued to run down the corridor, occasionally stealing glances behind her and once the cat was out of her sight, she quickly ducked behind one of the armors. Finally! She was safe!

GAH! She wasn't alone!

It took a moment for the person to be recognized and Destiny couldn't help but scoff. Of all people. It just had to be Raccoon Girl. What was she doing anyway? Well, whatever it was, she needed to stop and help her hide. "Pssst! Raccoon Girl! I need your help!"

Really. Only one person called her Racoon Girl. Arya didn't even have to pause her game to look at Chicken Girl to know it was her. And she was asking for help. That was certainly new. Grudgingly, she pause between the armor not far from where Chicken Girl was and frowned at her. "I go by Prefect now." Arya tapped the badge in case the dense girl had missed it.

Did the badge mean she had to help her now? Hmm.

"I can't protect you from whoever is after you."

Obviously, she was running from someone that she'd just done something terrible to.

O_O

Raccoon Girl was a PREFECT!?

Was Professor Headmaster Tate CRAZY!? She ate out of trashcans for Merlin's sake! How were the students supposed to take her seriously when they caught her eating the potatoes from the night before out of the trash? A better question though..did this mean she had to be nice to her?

GAH!

Blinking at the badge a few times, she gave her head a quick shake once she heard the meowing of a certain blue skinned mutant. He was going to find her.. "Right then. Prefect Raccoon Girl. I need your help!"

And Prefect Raccoon Girl sure did jump to conclusions, didn't she?

"I don't need protection from a person. Although, a person would be more welcome than what I do need protection from." At least she could karate chop a person. She couldn't do that with a cat.

"Do you see a blue cat?"

Arya just stared back at Destiny as she stared at her badge. YEAH, she was a prefect now, so Chicken Girl had best get used to it. Though Arya was sure she didn't have any kind of awesome power over the girl. Kinda sucked that. The only thing the badge really did was make her play nice when she'd rather throw stuff at the older girl. Meh.

SIGH. That wasn't what she had meant, but she supposed she couldn't very well argue that point right now, could she? Had to play nice and he helpful and prefect-y. Sigh.

"Whatever chasing you can't be worse than a person." Had she seen the students running around the castle? They were crazy. And if Borr was chasing her, then Arya was gonna run to... and trip Destiny so she wouldn't get caught.

Following the sound of the meowing, her eyes narrowed as she soon saw what Destiny was hiding from. That did NOT look like a cat. "I see something blue... but I don't know if it's a... cat." It LOOKED like a freakish mutant thing that Chicken Girl dragged out of the forest.

Raccoon Girl being a Prefect was both a good and bad thing. The bad thing about it was, that she could easily get her into trouble and even if she didn't do anything, they would most likely believe the her first. Plus, Destiny was sure Prefects could give out detentions. The good thing was, Arya had to help her..with whatever it was she needed help with.

Like those muggle policey people. Protect and serve!

And that's what needed to be done now. She could hear the meowing getting closer and, of course, Raccoon Girl was wrong. Nothing was worse than being chased by a blue mutated cat. Except maybe her grandmother.. Pulling a face, Destiny slouched to her knees and slowly peeked her head around the armor she was hiding behind..

..only to see Sly trotting his way down the corridor.

"THAT'S HIM!" she whisper hissed, moving back into hiding. "He won't leave me alone and I don't want to be seen with him." GAH! What was she going to do!? "Come, Prefect Raccoon Girl! Stand in front of me and HIDE me!"

PLEASE!!

Arya kept her eyes on the... well, she'd finally figured out it was cat, though she was still finding it a bit hard to believe. How did it get blue? And was it always bald? She eyed Destiny warily. "Why? So you can turn me blue too?" Don't think she'd play that game, the one where Destiny tried to get her into some trap like she'd done the poor blue creature and turn her blue AND bald. Nu uh. Not gonna happen.

Fingers running through her dark locks, she weaved through the armor towards the blue cat. Poor thing. "That's mean.... turning him blue and then not wanting to be seen with him." Chicken Girl had probably hurt it's feelings. She should be punished. Shame she couldn't give out any sort of punishment. Well.... none that wouldn't get her into trouble.

Deep breath. Let it out slowly.

It was all Destiny could do from rolling her eyes. Surely the Prefect didn't really think she would turn her blue? That would be complimenting her, making her blue like a smart Ravenclaw. Although, some Ravvies weren't smart. Arya would fit into that category. "Don't be silly." Silly, not stupid. She was trying to be semi-nice here! "I wouldn't turn you blue." Because she didn't know how to. She wasn't going to say that though.

Eeep!

Where was she going? Destiny peeked around the armor once more only to see Arya moving towards Sly. Noo! She was going to bring him back to her! And the girl was jumping to conclusions again! You are mean to one person and they think you are mean to everyone and everything. "I didn't do it to him! And if I did, I would't pick blue." He'd look better red. Hehe.

"Just..shoo him away. Use your Prefect powers!"

Or something.

"Wow," muttered Ever under her breath as she walked into a room full of coats of armor. She ran her fingers along the cold metal, feeling every notch and bump. The place was amazing, but something silver caught her eye. It was a necklace, hidden in a suit of armor. You could see an emrald trough little ridges right over wher its abdomen would be.

Ever tried to weasel her hand into it to grab the necklace. Nothing. One final push and she finally gother hand through and got the necklace out, but realized the whole time she could have Accioed it out.

"Is anyone missing a necklace!" hollered Ever, letting her voice roam free within the stone halls of the Dungeon level. Nobody answered, leaving Ever with the mystirious necklace for herself.

Ever slipped it around her neck and hurried off toward her common room before she was caught wandering the halls at night.

Really. REALLY. Surely Destiny didn't think that Arya believed her. If she wasn't above throwing wooly things at her, then she certainly wasn't above making her blue. In fact.... she made her GREEN last term along with making Sabel all angry-faced. Blue wasn't too far off.

Arya gave her LOOKS.

Arya felt bad for the little mutated kitty. Well, he wasn't little, but she still felt bad for him. He had Destiny for an owner! She continued towards the blue mutant, kneeling down and offering him her hand when she was close enough. "Well if you didn't do it then who did, hmm?" Who else was mean enough to turn a cat blue? "I bet you'd pick green."

Hehe. Prefect Powers. Made her sound like a supper hero or something. Shame she didn't really have any power. Did she? Hmm. "I can't shoo him away. Why haven't you taken him to a professor and make him not blue?" Had that thought even crossed her mind? Probably not. Destiny wasn't the brightest student in the castle. She couldn't even read.

What was with the looks?

Sure, Destiny might have made Arya green before, but really, the Hufflepuff started the WHOLE thing. She was the one that decided it would be fun to play with paint bubbles. So yeah, Raccoon Girl DESERVED to be green. And if her boyfriend hadn't shown up, she'd probably STILL be green. Even after all this time.

Mentally scoffing, Destiny peeked around the armor once more, mentally willing Raccoon Girl to stop walking. WHY was she going towards the cat? And more importantly, why was Sly being nice to her when she finally did stop? Mentally scoffing again as she watched Sly brush his blue, hairless body against her hand, she slid herself out from behind the armor. No point in hiding anymore."It was Evelyn, if you must know." That EX-best friend of hers. "And I liked him fine the way he was, so no. I would not have picked green." HMPH. Jumping to conclusions again.

Sitting on her knees, Destiny used her arms to sliiiiiide closer to Arya and her cat. And she brought up a good question..even though she hated to admit it. GAH!! "I was going to take him, but then I would have had to explain why he is blue. And then I would have to tell who did it and then tell why she did it and then tell that I messed with her cat first."

But Reindeer Poof was not nearly as bad as Blue Sly.

PatInTheHat 05-18-2011 11:57 PM

Lmao. Reindeer Poof XD

Arya could TELL Destiny didn't know why she was getting looks, but did she really expect her to understand them? Not one bit. The girl was stuuuupid. She was the one that kept ARGUING when Sabel was around. Pffft. She was lucky paint was all she got.

It felt WEIRD petting a furless blue cat. Sure, she'd messed with a bunch of creatures and animals. But almost all of them had fur, at least the ones that were supposed to have fur did, and she couldn't think of any that were blue. She stroked the cat lightly with her fingers tips, working her way up to using her full hand. At least he was friendly, unlike his owner. "Evelyn's crazy." Just like Destiny, so it was a surprise to hear that they were... whatever they were. Obviously not on mutual terms going by the cat.

Giving Destiny a 'what in Merlin's name are you doing' sidelong glance, she continued to pet the cat. "You wouldn't have to tell who did it if you went to the right professor." And knew how to phrase everything. Which she didn't. One brow raised. "What did YOU do to her cat?"

Did she want to know?

Seeing two girls chatting, and noting that one of them was a Slytherin, Ariana ran up to said Slytherin and hugged her. Yup, that's right, just a random hug. By way of explanation? "It's National Hug a Slytherin Day!" she said, looking up at the Slytherin with wide, innocent eyes.

She really hoped this one wouldn't react badly... closing her eyes for a moment, Ariana muttered "Three." Three Slytherins hugged, as many more as possible to go!

Eww!

Destiny couldn't help the grimace that appeared on her face as she watched Raccoon Girl pet Sly. She didn't know what was more gross. The fact that Raccoon Girl was actually touching the blue, furless cat or the fact that Raccoon Girl was touching HER cat. Sly was definitely going to need a bath. Not only to try and get the blue off, but to get the girl's GERMS off of him.

The cat already ate grass, she didn't need him eating out of trashcans either. Arya ate out of them enough for everyone.

She was however, a tad bit surprised that they both agreed on something. Evelyn was crazy and that was half the reason they weren't friends anymore. It was more about the chocolate, but she wasn't going to mention that. Not to her other enemy, Arya. Destiny continued to sliiiiide her way closer and ignored the looks she was getting. Sliding was fun, so what.

"I'm pretty sure they would want to know." She would want to know. Heck, Raccoon Girl herself wanted to know! Which she probably shouldn't have told because the girl was a Prefect after all. GAH! And of course, she probably shouldn't answer the other question, but it was too good not to share. "I stuck reindeer antlers on her, attached a sleigh to her collar and I placed a yeti doll into that sleigh and charmed it to play Christmas music whenever it passed someone."

Good times.

Something that wasn't good times; getting hugged randomly by a random Ravenclaw on a random day like hug a Slytherin day.

Whaaat?

Was that some stupid made up holiday? It had to be because if she knew of such a day, she would have stayed in her common room all day. Glancing at the girl as she let go of her, Destiny turned her attention back to Arya, ignoring the muttering the Ravvie was doing. Crazy girl who mutters to herself.

"Did you know about this holiday?" She was a Prefect, after all. "You don't plan on hugging me, do you?"

Please, Merlin, no.

Fallon ;)

In all fairness, he'd been trying to get to the Trophy Room ever since the school year started, but for some reason he never had the time to do so, and now that he did, he actually walked back and forth the third floor corridors. He was constantly changing his mind.

What exactly did he plan on finding there, eh? Or, rather, what was he looking for?

Treyen got tired and so he leaned against the wall, as if to rest, but instead he leaned against an armor. And it had pinched him somehow, which is why he straightened up as quickly as possible...resulting in the armor falling down. "GREAT." He sighed before forgetting that they ought not to be touched. Fingerprints and such. Once he remembered that, he smacked his right hand on his forehead. Good one, Lockhart, now he had to clean it all up.

Fallon was just walking around the school, collecting her thoughts. No purse, no camera, just Fallon and her thoughts. She had no idea what she was going to do about Finn. She knew that Iris disapproved and she knew that she liked Finn. A lot. It was probably one of the most confusing situations that Fallon had ever been in.

She was walking down the corridor, when she heard something that sounded like a suit of armor falling. Fallon rounded the corner and spotted a boy, in front of a suit of armor that had indeed fallen down. She could have just walked away, but the helpfulness in Fallon told her to go help him out. "Need help?" She smiled at the younger boy, glad for the distraction that he had just given her.

And one would think that these armors would be charmed not to fall, or something, right? Well, WRONG. Since one had just done so. Thanks to him, but still, it had fallen down, okay?

Treyen heard footsteps, so he instantly looked towards the sound. A girl. A Slytherin one. Yeah, his luck was clearly improving. NOT.

Oh, wait, she was offering help? Considering he was still holding part of the armor as he'd tried to put it in place when he thought that they weren't as heavy as they appeared to be, and his wand was in his pocket, then, yeah, he could use the help, "Actually, if you don't mind...," he said, nodding towards the armor. He didn't need for it to make a very loud sound when it hits the floor again, OR...break to pieces. No, he didn't need that.

Fallon could tell that the boy was shocked by her offering of help. It was kind of adorable...in the she wanted to squish his cheeks kind of way. She would restrain herself because she hardly knew who he was. She didn't know at all actually. All she'd done was ask if he wanted help, which he said he did. "No problem."

Fallon pulled out her wand and pointed it at the suit of armor. She was good at nonverbal spells so she waved her wand and watched as the suit of armor started to reform itself. She smiled when she was done, glad that her spell work was still good. "There you go."

Great! Treyen smiled and eyed as the girl took out her wand and, in less than a second, the suit of armor was standing oh-so-perfect in the place the armor had been. As if nothing ever happened. Except for the fingerprints, which he took care of once his wand was out.

NOW it was perfect.

"Thanks," he said, his smile widening, "I'm Treyen Lockhart, by the way," and he offered his hand for a handshake. There was no need to add the Prefect part, because that was visible in his robes...oh, no, wait, it wasn't, the badge was in his pocket. Oh, well, it didn't matter.

Fallon grinned, proud with her work. She watched as the younger boy pulled out his wand and cleaned off the armor. Now it was all shiny and looked worthy of standing up in the school. The boy turned around to face her...

...and introduce himself. So this was Treyen? He didn't look so bad. Fallon wasn't going to judge. She just wouldn't tell Simon if she decided that she liked this kid. "Nice to meet you Treyen. I'm Fallon McCarthy." She wondered if the kid had even heard of her. She also thought it was weird thinking of him as a kid. He was probably only a couple of years younger than her.

He'd been meeting a lot of Slytherins lately. It wasn't until now that he wondered if he ought to stick to upper floors to meet more Ravenclaws or Gryffindors. Though, they may be out in the grounds, no?

Treyen will try to avoid the dungeons at all cost, even if he was hoping to find Sierra soon.

"Fallon," he repeated, almost certain that it was the first time he was hearing the name, it reminded him of Tiberius, the oddity, or uniqueness, actually, "I haven't seen you before...are you a transfer this term?" he asked, tilting his head to one side. And regretting his question, because...what if she wasn't a transfer, eh? That was slightly awkward.

Then again, this was probably the first time she was hearing his name, no?

Fallon nodded as Treyen repeated her name. She figured he found it unique like most people did. Fallon actually never had met anyone else with her name before. She would probably be weirded out if she did. Her parents had really picked a different name for her...

Fallon shook her head no. "I've actually been coming her since first year." She was going to leave out the couple of terms she wasn't. It was something that she really didn't feel like explaining that right now. It was confusing and long and just yeah. She didn't want to talk about it.

Oh, man. She'd been in Hogwarts since her first year? Yeah, that was kind of awkward, "Oh." It's not like he should've known who she was, right? After all, he did tend to avoid Slytherins. Not that he succeeded, for the first Hogwartian he met turned out to be a Slytherin.

And...the other was a Ravenclaw.

Anyway...

..."Yeah, I'm sorry if my memory fails me," how come he knew who the She-Snakes were, but not who Fallon was, eh? "What year are you in?" he asked, though she kind of looked like a seventh year, close to graduation or something.

"Where you headed somewhere?" if they were going the same way, they could walk together, no?

Fallon had a feeling that a lot of people didn't know who she was or had hardly seen her. She was just one of those people that skated through Hogwarts with a few close friends and that was it. She didn't really care though. "Don't worry about it. I'm sure there's a lot of people that don't know who I am." AH. The year question. Really wouldn't help Treyen place her at this point. "Seventh. Yourself?"

Fallon smiled. "Nope. Just wandering." It was a great way for her to clear her head. Walking around was completely relaxing to say the least. She didn't have any plans, but would quickly make some just to get Finn off of her mind. If only for a moment.

He smiled, just a small smile, though, as she spoke. And then nodded once she was done. That could happen. He was sure that the same thing happened to him, right? After all, he was meeting Fallon in his fifth year.

And she was a seventh year?! Well, that's what he'd thought in the first place. Awesome! He got one thing right...except, it was never said out loud, so, it doesn't count anymore.

"A fifth year. Prefect, actually," he said, taking out the badge from his pocket, just in case.

Just wandering? "I was...," undecided, "...heading downstairs, actually, you may join me if you want," yes, because he'd decided not to go to the Trophy Room after all.

Fallon took in Treyen's nod. She was still trying to remember what Simon had said that he'd done to him. Something to do with Divination...Oh well. She couldn't remember and Treyen really didn't seem that bad so she would just stay put.

Fallon smiled. "Really? That's cool." She eyed the 'Puff prefect badge. It was nice and shiny.

Fallon mused it over for a moment. She really had nothing else to do and talking to someone might help keep her mind off of...things. Yep that was what she was going to refer to her confusion as right now. Things. "Sounds good to me. At least gives me somewhere to go..."

It seemed Treyen was still having issues with the whole Prefecting thing, because his badge went straight to his pocket again. Very strange thing to do, but he knew he wasn't the only one who did that. Arya's badge spent most of its day in her pocket as well.

Weird. Hufflepuffs.

He smiled, and gestured for them to keep on walking, "And, it's not like you'll be far away from everything if we head downstairs, after all, both out Common Rooms are there," maybe it could remind her of something she needed to do or something. Or, if she wanted something to eat, well, the Great Hall was in their direction. So, everything important was on the ground level and bellow.

"So, Fallon, do you have any ideas about what to do when you leave Hogwarts?" because Iris was, apparently, devoting herself to traveling, and so far he hadn't met the single student that knew a different answer.

Presley Black 05-29-2011 11:44 PM

Presley had heard all about the armor gallery, though she'd never seen it. So in the little free time she had, she slipped up to take a look. There were suits of armor everywhere! And she could swear the one by the door almost waved to her, but maybe that was her mind playing tricks. Treyen was there, and another older girl. It looked as if one of them had knocked a suit over. "What happened?" she asked idly, motioning to the fallen metal all over the floor.

Once she was able to get past the furless and blue parts of Sly, he wasn't so bad to pet. He was even NICE which was surprising considering the fact that Chicken Girl was his owner.

WHY WAS SHE STILL SLIDING??? It was starting to creep Arya out, and that was SAYING something cause the girl already creeped her out enough when she was being... Chicken normal. Destiny got more looks, and she slowed her strokes on the cat's furless back.

EYE-ROLLLLL. "Fine. Then live with a blue furless cat for the rest of your life." How short it would be hobos didn't live long did they? She didn't think so. But Arya, ever the animal lover she was, quickly decided that she couldn't let the cat live like that forever, even if Destiny could.

They should have a list of students not responsible enough to have a pet.

Chicken Girl should be first on it.

Arya had to force a cough, which turned out to be MUCH easier than it should've been, to keep from laughing. Cause that was too funny. And mean at the same time. DESTINY WAS EVIL. "That's HORRIBLE." She got more LOOKS.

Hug a Slytherin day.... that was random? Where had it come from? While Destiny was getting huged, she tried to think if she'd heard about this day before. While laughing at Destiny of course. And a bit more coughing. Ahem.

"I would never hug YOU, Chicken Girl." Not even if she was on FIRE. "And I've never heard of it." Which was what made this thing so weird.

The prefect gave Sly a few more pats before rising and wiping her hands on her robes. "I'm giving you three days to go to a professor, or someone who knows what they're doing, and get Sly fixed. If you don't then I'm going to a professor a telling them everything." Even how she couldn't READ. She gave Destiny even more looks just cause she could. It was her prefect DUTY.

Oakey made his way into the Armor Gallery after cleaning himself up in the boys bathroom a floor floors up. He didn't know where he was going or what he was doing (This usually led to something disastrous) He needed something to keep him preoccupied.

He starred at each of the suits of armor. Hopefully none of which had any boggarts hidden within them, but Oakey would be prepared for that. He defeated one about a month ago. He was Oakey Richard Gunter Boggart Slayer.

He closed his eyes and placed both hands on his hips holding his head up high.

Oakey found himself caught up in his imagination swooping in wearing an over the top hero costume and saving beautiful damsels from their worst fears as he'd cast Ridikulus at the evil creatures.

Zara was running. Running away from Nika. AHH, the questions. It was making her head explode. She didn't know where she was running to. She just kept on running. Running and running. And where did it take her?

"GAAAH!" She screamed as she hit the wall. Right, she wasn't really looking at where she was going. Zara was lucky not to have fallen down the stairs since she really didn't know that she was running up it. Wow, from the Courtyard, she was now in the third floor. At the armor gallery. At least she didn't bump into the armors, or else she'd probably get detention for that. Sitting on the floor because of the impact, Zara rubbed her forehead and slowly stood up. "Ow," she whispered to herself. It hurt. She looked around, trying to find out what happened and where she was. There were lots of armors around. And students--okay just one student was there. Who looked like he was daydreaming.

When her vision went back to normal, she realized that the boy was Oakey. "Hey there Oakey, whatcha thinking of?" She asked in a soft voice.

Right. So, Treyen chuckled, "Everything is downstairs, actually," he said, "Even Quidditch," though, in reality, Quidditch was way too up in the air, but the Pitch was still on the grounds. Last time he checked, anyway.

But then, he was ready to hear the usual stuff...'I don't know', or 'I'm going to be traveling for a while', even 'Becoming a Ghostbuster'...EVERYTHING, except that. And what surprised him the most was that she seemed so certain about it.

He smiled, widely, "That's brilliant!" he said, looking at her, "What exactly will you study?" like, art in general, photography? Come to think of it, Treyen had never considered any career involving any sort of art. Maybe he ought to check it out.

The expression turned into amusement once Oakey had mentioned about the ghosts. "I'm perfectly fine." She stated, straightening herself up--tucking behind her ear a lose strand, brushing off any dirt from her uniform and all. "And you? Okay there?"

Fallon thought about it for a moment. Once again, the younger Hufflepuff was right. Ah Quidditch. She hadn't really talked about that in a while. Her Beater's bat was starting to get a layer of dust on it in her trunk. "Never thought of it that way." Maybe that was why she always went to upper floors. No matter what she decided to do, she would have to go down the stairs to get there.

Fallon grinned at Treyen, glad he thought her choice after Hogwarts was brilliant. "Thanks and photography. Hopefully. I just sent in my portfolio the other day." She was really nervous about hearing back from them. She wouldn't know until sometime in February if she got in or not. The wait was going to kill her.

Zaradaniellezaragriffiths didn't believe him when he told he was doing nothing, Oakey could see it in her face, raised eyebrow and all. But he really was doing nothing he was just standing there in a heroic pose, doing nothing.

Her on the other hand, she wasn't telling the truth. It looks like she ran into something. He raised his eyebrow at her this time.

Yeah I'm fine, I really was doing nothing, probably got lost but then I did nothing. Why was he so determined on telling her he did nothing, Oakey didn't know.

"Oakey. Okay, okay. You did nothing. I believe you." She said, trying to hold back chuckles.

Zaradaniellazaragriffiths was running away from someone. What the someone still running after her. Oakey hoped not, these sort of situations never ended well for him.

Then you sure you're okay then?
he asked her. If she ran into a wall while running her face was a pretty red color. Or was that due to her being annoyed with having told him.

Zara nodded as she tried to force a smile on her face. But her eyes were still wary. Looking back as if Nika had come running after her with that scary question. Nuh-uh. She was not answering that. She'd avoid her every way possible.

"So, you're doing nothing here, right?" Zara asked, and continued, "Well, you wanna do something?"

Uncle Moose 05-31-2011 05:13 PM

If I can think of what it is I wanna do? He paused and looked at her questionably. He was lost because he wanted to do something but had forgotten what it was he wanted to do, then he found himself in here imagining to be a superhero before Zaradaniellezaragriffiths ran into a wall.

AH! WAIT THERE WAS SOMETHING! I gotta go Oakey told Zaradaniellezaragriffiths without looking back Oakey made his way out of the armor gallery quickly.

Zara blinked as Oakey went off. One second he was here, next he was gone. Where'd he gone? Oh well. No use staying here, she had to hide somewhere.

That Quidditch was downstairs? Well, not literally.

Treyen only nodded, mainly because the topic will continue to be rather silly and pointless if they kept going about it. Plus, WHO actually talked about what was downstairs and upstairs besides first years? Exactly.

It seemed she hadn't been expecting her answer, because that's what the smile said. And...Photography? Treyen smiled widely again, "Awesome! How come you were never a part of the Yearbook, though?" he asked, as he kept on walking and walking, "You clearly like to take pictures, no?" CLEARLY, yet he was well-aware that the Yearbook pictures were nothing compared to those taken by professionals. Never mind if he thought that Kurumi was a pro with the camera.

The boy smiled, "I hope it all works out, then," because she was the only one that knew what she wanted to do. It was only fair she got it. Not that the others shouldn't.

ArianaBlack 06-01-2011 07:38 AM

Nika walked into the area with her song lyrics in hand she sat down in the middle of the floor and imagined her imaginary friend up again. "So Lola I'm going to sing to you again." she said as she read over the assignment sheet. It said absolutely nothing about singing to an imaginary friend.

"Whenever I see someone less fortunate than I,
And let's face it, who isn't less fortunate than I?
My tender heart tends to start to bleed.
And when someone needs a makeover,
I simply have to take over!
I know, I know exactly what they need!

And even in your case,
Though it's the toughest case I've yet to face,
Don't worry, I'm determined to succeed!
Follow my lead,
And yes indeed, you will be...

POPULAR!
You're gonna be popular!
I'll teach you the proper poise,
When you talk to boys,
Little ways to flirt and flounce,
ooh!
I'll show you what shoes to wear!
How to fix your hair!
Everthing that really counts to be...

POPULAR!
I'll help you be popular!
You'll hang with the right cohorts,
You'll be good at sports,
Know the slang you've got to know.
So let's start,
'Cause you've got an awfully long way to go!"

She finished the song with a smile on her face and leapt up off the floor and started skipping away.

SPOILER!!: Arya!!!

Eeesh!

Honestly, the looks coming from Raccoon Girl would have surely put Medusa to shame. And if it was anyone besides Raccoon Girl giving them to her, Destiny would have flinched a few times. Looks were scary. Arya, not so scary. She ate out of trashcans, after all.

But just because she was scared of receiving looks, it didn't stop her from giving them..to Sly. He was actually LETTING Raccoon Girl pet him. Destiny secretly willed the cat to bite her. They were both animals, they shouldn't be getting along.

"I don't think he will be blue and furless for the rest of my life." The rest of his life, maybe. But she was SURE his fur would grow back. She just wasn't sure if it would grow back blue or not. Whatever. It made him unique! And it reminded her of Noel, hehe.

Raising an eyebrow as Arya started to COUGH, Destiny debated on whether or not she should aguamenti the girl. She was just about to pull out her wand when the girl spoke SCOFF! What was so horrible about it? It wasn't like the things she did to Poof were permanent! That cat was all normal now. "I guess you had to be there to see the humor in it." And you had to be human, but she wouldn't say that.

And good thing they got that settled. She really, REALLY didn't want an Arya hug.

Standing up as Raccoon Girl did, Destiny scooped Sly up in her arms. He smelled like the girl's trashcan breakfast. Gross! But..whaaaat? She KNEW she shouldn't have mentioned ANYTHING. Of course Prefect Raccoon Girl was going to be all Prefecty on her. Pfft!!! "Why should I go to a Professor? It's not like I turned him blue! And will you stop looking at me like that? You are being weird."

Destiny knew weird and Arya was being weird, indeed.

Fallon looked at the younger boy. "Dunno. I guess I never really thought about it." Until last term when she didn't make the team, she'd been totally quidditch driven. It changed her mind though. Photography was awesome, but she liked the arsty kind. Not the snap shot kind. "Besides, they're completely different things." Which was the truth.

Fallon grinned. "Thanks. And I haven't really been able to talk about my photography with anyone." Besides Finn. "It's kind of nice."

Presley Black 06-01-2011 09:43 PM

Presley was invisible. It wasn't like she'd spoken quietly. "HEY!" she said louder. "What happened to the suit of armor?! The caretaker is going to freak!" Maybe someone would listen to her this time! This was kind of inportant because if the caretaker walked in right now, she didn't want her excuse to be 'I don't know.' That was pathetic, and usually a lie.

Mmmhmmm. Nod.

"That's completely right, though, not even the Daily Prophet ones resemble the Yearbook ones," he said, before he kept on talking, "I can't blame you if you didn't join us, our pictures aren't precisely the artistic kind," but they all had creative freedom back at the Yearbook. So, they could've added something like that.

Either way, it's not like it mattered anymore, right?

"I don't really take pictures, I just help with the selection process and the developing one," he added, as a bonus. But the most important 'Yearbook' job was...being the pretty face of it.

He nodded again, with a smile, "I think I understand, in my case...it's books," or potions, but mostly books. Not too many people liked them, apparently, "But you're just lucky you found the one in charge of pictures," Yearbook pictures, of course. Chances are that if he wasn't behind the process of making pictures happen, then he'd be in front of the camera. Which he actually was, so, yeah, never mind.

No, no, the suit of armor is fine...it doesn't have a scratch on it or anything," because he'd made sure that EVEN his fingerprints were erased from the metal suit.

There was a reason why he found the girl familiar...she'd been the one who stepped inside the Prefect's Bathroom, and lied to Finn. "He won't notice, as long as he doesn't know what happened," and nothing had happened to the suit, really, so, it'll be fine.

Ayra ROLLED HER EYES. "For most of it. Or all of his if you don't do anything about it." Honestly, how had she made it to the sixth year. She'd blame Lafay, but then again Truebridge had been her head for a term. Maybe he just pitied the girl. Arya would too if she wasn't so EVIL.

The cough... she pretended like it didn't even happen. Cause it was TOTALLY fake. Totally. She wasn't getting sick, Arya Lovegoods didn't get sick. Unfortunately her body felt the need to give off a few more coughs at Destiny's words. No, she didn't have to be there, cause it was already funny AND mean. "No, I just don't torture cats for laughs."

Chicken Girl was not WORTHY of her hugs. Period.

"Because he's YOUR cat, and it's cruel to have him walking around like that forever. He could be in pain!" Though she was pretty sure he wasn't in any pain, besides the pain of humiliation. "And NO I won't stop looking at you like that until that cat is blueless and has fur." LOOKS. "Better than being YOU."

She sighed. Even a littl firstie like her could tell when something had happened. No, the suit of armor looked picture perfect, but the floor was scratched the tiniest bit on the third tile from Treyen's foot. "The floor." she pointed out to him. Presley had obsessive compulsive disorder, and she knew that something was different. She also knew the caretaker would know. Maybe the older students knew enough magic to fix it? Because Pres sure didn't. "It's scratched. He'll notice." She wasn't stupid just because she was a child, and Treyen had kept her out of a spot of trouble earlier this year. She did want to help him avoid trouble if she could. Obviously the suit thing had been a mistake.

Fallon nodded. "Still...I wish I would've thought of joining. It would've been fun." She would be able to change from yearbook type pictures to artistic ones easily. Besides, she would probably end up working at some newspaper after she graduated anyways just to get by.

"Developing pictures is cool." She loved the developing process, even though it was cut short for her because she'd gone digital. She still had an old film type camera that was ancient in her trunk. She hardly used it though because she didn't want to ruin it.

Fallon nodded. "Really lucky..." And then some younger student was complaining about the armor. She was glad that Treyen had taken care of that. She might have lost it with the time she'd been having lately.

Surely eating grass and shoelaces was worse, right? Meh.

Sweet Merlin! Raccoons! You have to explain EVERYTHING to them for them to understand. Taking a frustrated breath, Destiny glanced down at Sly before turning back to Arya. She knew..from experience.

Could she get Prefect Raccoon Girl in trouble for being MEAN? Destiny would have to COMPLAIN to the Healer and tell her what a HORRIBLE Prefect she was. Yelling at her. Better yet, she'd go to Tate! Wait, what, the floor? Treyen did look at it, and noticed a couple scratches on the place the suit of armor fell. But, then again, those scratches were everywhere in the corridor, there was no way to tell which ones had been recent or not.

He was almost sure of that. The important thing was for the armors to be as neat and perfect as possible.

The boy finally shrugged, "It's alright," not like they could something about that NOW, right?

Developing, yes, she was right. And he nodded, but soon was reminded of something that was related to the same thing. Kurumi! He was supposed to develop pictures with her today, right?

How could he forget?!

"Yeah, I like it, I do prefer choosing them," he said, with a small smile. Because he got to see them all and then check with the articles to see if they fitted and all. That was the real job. Developing was fun when you taught someone how to do it. And it was some sort of magic too.

And, well, Fallon's answer seemed to be good enough for the Ravenclaw girl. He was cool with that. And seriously, no one was getting in trouble.

Plus, at least they'd managed to get everything in order. That was a plus when considering punishments, no? It's not like he meant for it to happen.

Treyen looked at Fallon, and then shook his head, "I...actually, forgot I had something to do," like helping Kurumi? Awesome. Not. "But it was very nice to meet you, Fallon," he said, nodding once, "See you around, and thanks again."

He waved goodbye before following the direction the other girl had taken. They were on the third floor, so, he wouldn't be too late to meet Kurumi, since he was already in the floor he was meant to be in the first place.

She would try to STEAL him away from Destiny and find him a real home. One that wasn't on the streets. It obviously wasn't doing his health any good.

Oh. She understood COMPLETELY. And she was not impressed. It was just like a Chicken to go after their enemies' pets instead of facing them said enemies themselves. Arya would be keeping a closer eye on Perseus from now on, that was for certain. "It doesn't matter WHY you did it..." Why was she wasting her breath? Chicken Girl was STU-PID. She wouldn't understand. Arya wouldn't be surprised if she'd already lost the girl. Arya gave her a flat look. "And how would you know?"

How would a CHICKEN know how a kneazle felt.

Arya shrugged her shoulders and crossed her arms. "Fine. Tell them that I'm doing my JOB." Cause that's what her job was right? To watch after Hufflepuffs and creatures? So... she added the creatures bit, but she was certain that the professor would agree with her. "I don't EAT from trashcans." Pffft! "You can't even spell trashcan."

Whaaat!?

Destiny scoffed. What did Arya know? Nothing because if she did, she would know that she took GREAT care of all her pets. It wasn't her fault that she just had very strange pets who did very strange things. Like Sly who ate shoelaces. "I can't stop him from eating shoelaces!" She tried. She tried everything. He just didn't learn.

Right. So maybe she shouldn't have put antlers on Poof. But she couldn't possibly but antlers on Evelyn. No one would be able to sit behind her in classes because they wouldn't be able to see the Professor. Actually..that was a good idea. She could put antlers on Evelyn and then when she went to class, she could get into trouble for being a distraction. Destiny secretly thanked Raccoon Girl for giving her that idea. "Because..I only used a sticking charm on her. That doesn't even hurt, I know it doesn't."

And she would explain no further!

HMPH. If she didn't have Sly in her hands, she would have mimicked Arya's crossed arms. Instead, she simply held Sly closer to her. HMPH! "I'll also tell them that you threatened me." Threatened her with telling a Professor on her, but she wasn't going to say that. A threat is a threat in her opinion. "Yes you do, I saw you." Scoff! "I can too spell it."

She just needed a quill and a piece of parchment first.

Arya didn't believe she couldn't stop him from eating shoelaces for one bit. She just didn't know HOW. Dumb girl. She would have to talk to Tate about her, and have him take away her poor pets. Giving the girl a disapproving look, she shook her head and tsked. "Shame on the person who gave him to you." SHAME SHAME SHAME.

"You speak cat now too?" Cat AND chicken? She didn't believe it, else she'd be able to stop Sly from eating shoelaces. "You don't know anything. If you did, this would have never happened." She waved to Sly. Yup, all her fault. If Arya knew she'd just given Chicken Girl an idea, she would have cursed herself, and then reported the girl to Tate. Straight to the top she would go!

The Puff prefect narrowed her eyes at Chicken Girl. "Even if I did threaten you, they wouldn't believe you... you tell too many lies." Or at least she seemed like someone that would tell too many lies. She was the girl who cried chicken. It was Arya's turn to scoff. Scoff! "You've NEVER seen me eating garbage." Pffft! "I bet you can't even spell garbage."

She so couldn't.

As much as Destiny liked having all the shame put onto her Grandmother, it wasn't really her fault. The old woman only gave her the galleons to go buy Sly, but she wasn't the one who picked him out. She would have kept him for herself, seeing how cute he was in his cage, banging his head against the glass.

But she was not going to tell that to Arya. She already knew too much.

"It doesn't take speaking cat to know it didn't hurt." Although, Destiny had to admit, the mere thought of speaking cat was pretty darn awesome. Maybe she would take a trek to the library. Find a language book. "Well, I do know something. It is that, you are jealous." YEAH! "Jealous that I have an awesome blue cat." Sure, he was hairless, but that just added to his awesomeness!

Destiny narrowed her eyes right back. She couldn't ever remember lying to a Professor, except maybe Lawson, but he didn't count. He was gone. "We'll just have to see about that." Giving a firm nod of her head, she made Sly give the Prefect a little wave with his paw. She was leaving! In a minute.. "I have pictures to PROVE I saw you eating it." Okay, that was a lie. "Now, unless you really want me to spell them words, I have a cat to get fixed."

Of course, she didn't move yet. She wanted to know if Arya really did want her to spell them words.

I just started singing Noel, while thinking about Noel. LULLZ.

That was true. Arya was always able to tell what was wrong with her creatures even though she didn't speak their language. It was just easy for her, but she wouldn't be telling that to Chicken Girl. Couldn't let her know they'd AGREED on something. "Like you would know." Yeah. That was all she was gonna say about speaking kneazle. WHHHHAAAAT?! Arya scoffed. "Me jealous of YOU? Not possible. Though I do pity the poor thing for landing you as an owner." And she gave him more looks too. Looks of pure pity.

And SEE THEY WOULD. Arya waved back at the kitty after turning her glaring eyes away from Destiny, and softening them. He was practically begging her to steal her back with his eyes, but what could she do?! Her prefect powers didn't allow her to remove familiars from their cruel owners. Though she'd talk to take about making it possible...

"You have no such thing!" Cause she DIDN'T eat out of the garbage. Period. She waved her hand, dismissing Chicken Girl. "Go. It will take too long for you to spell the word." And they didn't have all day.

At least she didn't.

Ehhhh.

If Destiny knew she and Arya agreed on something, she would have ran straight to the nearest bathroom, male or female, she didn't care, to wash her mouth out with SOAP. She would have also made a mental note to never say those words in front of the Hufflepuff again! Lucky she didn't know because soap tasted DISGUSTING.

Giving the girl a very obvious and over-dramatic eye roll, Destiny nodded her head. Raccoon Girl was so jealous, she could tell. If she wasn't, she wouldn't have became all defensive over it. And she was not going to bother replying back to her pity comment. She did, however, cover the cat's eyes as he received looks.

Arya was just trying to possess him with her Raccoon powers.

Hehe. Destiny really wished she did have pictures now. They could have been sold them to the Daily Prophet!

She could see the headline now: Hufflepuff Prefect. Eats out of trashcans.

Giggling at the thought, she allowed Sly to wave goodbye one last time before skipping her way down the hall. "Goodbye, Raccoon Girl!"

..she needed to find a dictionary.

Arya didn't know WHY Destiny was giggling... nothing she'd said was funny. Not that she thought so at least. "It's PREFECT." She yelled after the Chicken, knowing that she probably wasn't listening. Siiiigh. That girl was hopeless. She turned and skipped down the corridor, making a mental note to check with the other professors to see if the mutant cat got fixed.

Plopping down at the feet of one of the many suits Armor, Legend sighed. Hesitantly he looked around the floor before pulling out Neptune's wand and twirling it around in his fingers. Would Neptune attack him once he gave her, her wand back? He hadn't even realized he had taken it. So as soon as he did notice he owled her, so they could meet up. So he would be safe right? She wouldn't attack him.

Shrugging the thought off Legend pointed the wand to the helmet of one of the suits. "Wingardium Leviosa." The helmet rose an inch before it began to shake violently and plunged into the ground, with a shattering nose. Huh... he guessed different wands did act differently.

"I'm sure that is rude form, to not only take a lady's wand, but to use it without her consent." Neptune stood in the doorway to the armory.

Which was SUCH a boy place to meet up, right?

She giggled and sauntered into the room, perusing the different shields and things first.

"No it's not! Wait--Legend's head whipped around so fast as he heard the voice that he was certain he had just given himself whiplash. "Ah!" Gripping the back of his neck, the Gryffindor stood up. That actually did hurt.

"Sorry." He murmured as he held the wand out of Neptune to take. It was a nice wand, but it would never work for him anyways. And besides that, his was already in perfect condition so he didn't need another one.

Neptune whipped around too at the sound of Mr. Chosen in distress. She abandoned her 'supposed to be mysterious and grown up' entrance and automatically went to check on him. "Are you alright? And how about...," Neptune motioned to where Orlando had punched him in the tummy.

She took her wand back, but her hand lingered near Legend's. WAS he alright?

"Yeah, yup. Fine. Fine." Clearly, being around Neptune was just dangerous. First the punch and now this...she was not safe. He turned his neck from both sides, trying to shake off the pain that had suddenly appeared.

As she motioned to point at his stomach Legend rolled his eyes. "Yeah of course. He just knocked the wind out of me. Orlando is not that strong." At least not stronger than him! Legend could beat him the Muggle fistfight way. "How are you? I'm sorry that I left." Leaving probably wasn't very gentleman like but he really couldn't stay there, not after seeing the look on Lando's face.

Neptune rolled her eyes playfully. Legend was being.... boy and too manly to be hurt. "Not as strong as you," she helped the male ego along and twirled her wand through her fingers.

"It's.... fine. It wasn't too far of a walk back to the dorm by myself." Though she HAD wished him to stay. "Lando owled me.... and apologized in person. That was... interesting."

See! Neptune saw it too. Orlando so was not as strong as him. Dropping his hand from behind his neck he crossed his arms just to look cool. "Not many people are as strong as me you know." Yup. He was certain of it.

"I'm sorry." He murmured again. Fine wasn't good or alright. So that meant that really, Neptune had just dealt with it or was trying to make him not feel too bad. "I'll make it up to you." Somehow.

Legend grinned. Yeah. Lando was an interesting guy. "What did he do? Sing and dance?" He hadn't taught him that but..yeah...seemed like an Orlando thing. "If it was something impressive I taught him it."

"Oh, for sure. I definitely know that," Neptune managed to keep a straight face. The truth of his words made no difference at all to her - but the GIANT sized ego was certainly entertaining. Neptune liked to water it like she would a rose bush. "I'm not sure there are any at Hogwarts that are stronger, really." Griiiiiiinnny grin grin!

Neptune moseyed, trying to look innocent and agenda-less, over to Legend's side. "It's okay. I'm just glad you're okay, really. Some... first kiss, right?" Neptune nudged at Legend with her shoulder.

...giggle. "He did bring me flowers. But I didn't get a song out of him. DID you teach him to sing? I think I require you to sing for me if that be the case." Like right now. Sing, Legend, sing!

Legend believed without a doubt, that more people should think like Neptune. Maybe it was the Ravenclawness but obviously she was extremely smart to see something that Legend thought was obvious, but most people didn't. "Hmm....no. Not really. Maybe some Professors because...you know Professor V does all that Quidditch work but I could put up a good fight with Descoteaux. And win." He smirked. It was actually something he believed. Descoteaux looked strong but he was all pretty boyish. He couldn't fight right? And there was no way any seventh year that could beat him. Neptune agreed!

Neptune Bott was close to him again. She liked being close again apparently. Legend had found it odd before but now he was used to it. Sort of. "Yeahh..." His eyes traveled anywhere but at the girl. "It's memorable. One to never forget." Thanks to Orlando.

Flowers? Legend held back a grin. Of course, Orlando was clearly a ladies man in training. "Me? Sing? I sing like a Mandrake. Why don't you sing for me?" That would be entertaining for sure.

"Although, you do have youth on Professor V. I think you could take him - but I don't think you should. Fighting isn't very... attractive. Or gentlemanly," just in case Legend didn't know. It was CRAZY to Neptune all the things that Legend Chosen didn't know.

"Memorable." Giggle. "Definitely that. And... well... good, I think." Different. Unexpected. But good. Neptune wiggled her eyebrows at Legend.

"I don't sing very well either," Neptune hesitated noticeably, then amended, "I play though. I play piano." Neptune played very, very well. "Did I ever tell you?" Hmmm. Probably not.

She was stalling. Neptune wanted to ask about the things Orlando had told her, but... everything with Legend was so easy, so uncomplicated, and had been, she thought, shaping up nicely. Bringing it up might ruin that? But didn't she have to know...? Eeehhhhh

Fighting wasn't gentlemanly...but...Legend frowned. It was fun! To a point. Really it was only fun if he won. Maybe it was because fighting lead to sweating a blood? Yeah...sweat wasn't attractive."Guess your right. Plus I don't want to get kicked out of Hogwarts when I only have a couple months left." You were lucky Professor V.

"Yeah...it was good." Legend nodded slightly. Did they have to speak about the kiss! He didn't want to. That lead to him thinking about feelings and whatnot, and he definitely didn't want that. It was just too complicated.

"Piano?" Legend's voice perked up, actually surprised and interested about the new Neptune discovery. "You never told me that! You should play for me. Or teach me. Or both! That's so cool!" Playing the piano meant that she could read all those picture notes and stuff and that alone seemed like a giant task.

Duuuuuuuuh, Legend Chosen. Was he ever going to learn that she was usually right? "We only have a few months left," Neptune amended slightly. It was true too. In just a few short weeks.... that'd be it. No more Hogwarts, no more ... Legend Chosen.

Neptune didn't push with the kiss thing. She'd said her bit, but if Legend didn't KNOW that she enjoyed it, then he was just missing out and utterly daft.

Hmm. Not the reaction she had been expecting from Legend. At all. "I don't play for many people," or tell many people that she played at all, "...but I might be motivated to play for you, Mr. Chosen." Mayyyyyybe. If he was a good boy.

Neptune reached out for his hands and turned them both palm up, then she laid her fingers over his and used his digits as piano keys. "I was wondering... since you're here and all... if we could talk? I promised you some information, and now I have a few questions of my own..." If he didn't mind. Neptune lightly ran her fingers over his, playing a tune only she could hear.

"We yeah, that's what I meant." It was still hard to think that soon they'd be leaving Hogwarts for good. He would never see any of his friends or classmates again, it was really just depressing. "Do you want to leave?" He really wanted to know what other seventh years thought about the whole thing. We're they ready for life out of Hogwarts or were they just as confused as him? Neptune was rich, so did she just not care?

"But I'm not like other people. I'm me. Which means I'm special. Which means I should be able to hear a piece played by you, Miss Neptune Bott." His logic made sense to him. It always did.

Legend had long since realized that he had become Neptune's doll like person. He really let her do whatever she wanted to without protesting. Probably because he had realized her giggling was better than her crying. So as she began to run her fingers over his in a tapping like motion he didn't mind. "Talk...yeah..sure?" Was she going to speak to him about Jimmy or something else?

"Sometimes, I can't wait to be out of here," Neptune responded immediately. "This term... this whole experience... it wasn't anything like what I thought it would be. Did you know," Neptune lowered her voice to a whisper, "that I'm actually not a Princess?" Hogwarts taught her that. She had learned that the hard way. "But mostly I think I'll just miss... people. Like you." And others.

Neptune played her fingers over Legend's, then simply intertwined their fingers and held onto his hands. She swung them gently between herself and him. "...if you really are interested... then I'll be happy to." REALLY happy to. She might even tell Legend about her after Hogwarts plans. Who knew? Maybe he'd interesting in visiting her....? Who knew he'd be so interested in her playing?? It ENTIRELY delighted Neptune. Entirely.

"Katie?
" As in, he could start..... there. "The Hufflepuff. Orlando ... brought her up."

Leaving Hogwarts wasn't something that had really crossed his mind this year. It still felt...for some reason like he would be returning back in September like he did every other year. And Legend didn't know what he thought about that. "But...only sometimes right? Like..sometimes you want to stay?" She couldn't hate it completely! No. She couldn't. That would mean that being at Hogwarts was just horrible for her. The blond chuckled. Princess Neptune! Why did that make him laugh. "You can still be a Princess if you want to be. I've been telling people for years that I'm a Prince. It's all how you carry your self. And you act all lady, so you seem Princess-y to me." Neptune would be smart to take his advice. No one could tell him that he was not royalty or important! It was why he had it sketched into his mind that he would name his first born son Prince Legend Chosen the Second...so pople couldn't doubt his importance.

Legend could feel his cheeks begin to warm. Neptune was actually going to miss him? That was a first. He couldn't remember the last time someone said that they were going to miss him. Usually it was just sarcastic but...Legend really didn't blame them. "Well...we have to keep in touch then. So you won't miss me too much."

"Can you make a special song for me?" It had to be cool and sound pretty. That was what Legend wanted. A special song.

Katie? He gazed down at their intertwined hands and sighed. He should have known. Oddly enough, it didn't bother him. "My ex-girlfriend...and sort of ex-best friend...who is now my friend...what about her?"

"Only sometimes," Neptune agreed after a small pause. "I don't want to leave right now," for example. In fact, Neptune couldn't STOP smiling. Whether Legend had really learned how to say the right things, or he meant them - he was doing amazingly with the flattery. "See? I knew you knew about the royalty thing. Maybe I just needed the reminder. Suppose I'll be Queen someday..." Giggle. Right? And Legend would ascend to the throne as well?

"You'll owl me?" Neptune eyed him suspiciously. Legend Chosen did NOT seem the letter writing type. He'd just have to apparate to her London flat. Or... wherever she'd be.

"Oh."
Oh. Neptune had only really made a special song for someone once. And the entire thing made her feel .... ehhh. But this was different. Legend was asking, unlike anyone else really, and wanting her to perform for him. She found her smile again. "I'll see what I can come up with," there wasn't a WHOLE lot longer left in the term, but Neptune didn't have MUCH else going on... so... a piece for Legend.

"Well... just... you tell me? If that's okay. What about her?" Legend HAD got punched in the gut for kissing Neptune .... because of this ex-girlfriend ex-best friend. It sounded so familiar, actually. Neptune stopped swinging his hands and just held them.

Legend smirked, he enjoyed the peace between him and Neptune but that didn't mean that he wouldn't try to get her riled up. "Hmm, nope. You can't be. I'm going to be King you see and I don't need another person there to help me run stuff." He wanted to make all the rules and be in charge by himself.

"Yeah...why? Don't want me to?" A confused look fell over the Gryffindors face. He blinked a couple times before continuing. "I won't owl you if you don't want me too." So that meant that Neptune really wouldn't miss him? The thought made him frown. He had been right before, not that many people would miss him. He tried to look excited as Neptune basically said she would write a song for him but he really couldn't. If she didn't want to keep in touch he would probably never her the song anyways.

What about Katie? Legend bit his lip. If there were ever a time when he understood girl language it would not be now. What was there too tell? Neptune knew that Katie was a Hufflepuff and his ex-girlfriend and friend. He was sure that if Katie heard him talking about her to someone else he'd get another punch in the stomach. "Um...I dated her dated last year? We've been friends really since we was like 5 cause our sisters were best friends and they forced us to play together." Those actually weren't good times. Legend still wasn't sure what else he was suppose to say. "She's really hot headed and would probably kill me for telling you stuff. Um...we were...briefly...engaged.." Yeah, Legend was sure not many people knew that. "But we broke up after she thought I cheated on her...which I didn't but you know lack of trust got me mad." He shrugged his shoulders. He had gotten nothing from Neptune about Jimmy but he was still going on. "I still...have feelings for her I guess...okay I do. And the whole Orlando punching me thing was because she was still upset about the break up and Orlando thought it wasn't right that I was off kissing other girls...well you." Had he said enough? Was that even what she wanted? Legend really quit.

"Sometimes you can be so daft, Legend Chosen," Neptune dropped his hands and walked away from him. Buuuuut she shot him a little look over her shoulder. "Everyone knows that behind every good King there is a good Queen. Kings are required to have Queens." Didn't he READ?

She put her chin to her shoulder and struck a pose for him. Giggle. "Of course I want you to. I just.... didn't think you would. But you know... I'd actually prefer a visit." Though letters would certainly do and make her happy. She tried to imagine what a letter from Legend Chosen my entail.

When he began to finally tell her about Katie, Neptune turned her back to him and walked about the room pretending to look at the shields and things, but really only listening to him.

Dated... okay.
Friends.... past tense? Okay...
Tempered and didn't like Neptune... figures, but okay.
Engaged....?

"Wait. Engaged?"

...

Engaged in what? ENGAGED engaged? She turned around slowly, and STARED AT LEGEND CHOSEN. STARED. Neptune couldn't get to all the other stuff, the cheating and the other girls and feelings - she would but.... ENGAGED?

"Engaged to be married?" GIANT PAUSE. "How is it you know how to propose to a girl but I had to basically TELL YOU how to flirt and that I was flirting with you??"

ENGAGED?????????????? Neptune's world was imploding. Legend Chosen was apparently not at all the boy she thought him to be?

"Haven't heard that in a while." Legend smirked as he stuffed his hands into his pocket. Neptune really did get upset over the simplest things. "Are you sure about that? Cause I'm sure that King Henry the..." Legend paused for a moment, counting the silly roman numeral numbers in his head. "the eight of England didn't think so." And if he did why were all his Queens killed? Exactly. Point one for Legend, zero for Neptune.

"Oh!" The look of confusion vanished from his face. That made sense. "Do you not think I can write?" Of course he was just joking. A bit? He didn't really understand why she didn't think he would write but he let that go. "I'll visit too then."

"Yes." He nodded slowly. Really, barely anyone knew of that. He even doubted if Orlando knew. They had kept it a secret, which Legend now realized had been smart. "Engaged to be married to Katie...yes."

Then the explosion happened. He really wasn't expecting it but it- along with Neptune's raised voice- came out in full force. Backing away a bit, Legend slowly took in the question. Neptune...didn't get it. But it made perfect sense to him. "Cause....I didn't propose to just any girl. It was Katie. I- I don't flirt with Katie." Did he? No. That was weird. "We've known each other for so long and so well that really it wasn't some mushy feelings sort of moment. It was really just a question after I told her that I loved her." It made sense to him, and Katie, just not the rest of the world.

Really, Legend? Really? He was going to debate the necessity of Queens with her? Neptune gave him a flat look, but didn't debate it further. She simply knew she was right.

But the smile was back when Legend agreed to visit her. "Do you mean it?" Legend did sometimes just tell her what she wanted to hear. Neptune couldn't handle more false hope.

...

Neptune listened, not interrupting or even blinking really, while Legend explained. When he was done, it seemed all she COULD do was blink. She wasn't put into Ravenclaw for her looks, so the pieces all seemed to fall into place before her. "And you still... you would be with her if you could. But she won't because she thought you cheated."

...

Neptune .... just stared across the room at Legend. She was basically in the room with a stranger.

"Yeah! Whenever I feel like I need another lesson about being a gentleman....or when I'm bored." Legend grinned. Neptune was a good friend. He had to visit her. Seeing how he didn't have many friends now he had to really treat the ones he did have right.

Legend sighed. His smile instantly disappearing. He ran his hand through his hair once before he even looked back at Neptune. She made him sound pathetic. She made him sound like the same monster Orlando had made her seem like. Someone who really didn't care about other people's feelings. "Honestly? .....I don't know if she would get back with me. I think now she realized that I didn't cheat. But...right now I don't care. I do love Katie. But I don't want to date Katie right now. After knowing me for years, she believed that I would actually cheat. That hurt. So why should I be with someone who doesn't trust me?" That was what had hurt him the most. They had also ruined their whole friendship because of it and dating her wasn't worth messing up their friendship. He sighed once again before plopping down on the ground.

Neptune frowned at that answer. Not that she hated being the cure to his boredom, but ... wouldn't he miss her? Or was that the same thing in Legend language??

She crossed her arms and found a good piece of floor to stare at. "I don't know. I'm sorry. I just... I just didn't know. And the L-word and you and it's a lot," ramble ramble ramble. "Should I feel bad....?" She kind of did? But Neptune couldn't QUITE place why she felt bad.

Legend wanted to leave. He had enjoyed hanging out with Neptune without having her look down upon him or anything. But now things were different. "It's alright...you just wanted to know." He murmured. He had once said that the L-word was a lot, but now it didn't seem that big to him. It was a fact. "My dad says if you love someone you should tell them, cause you'll never know when they'll leave. He said he learned that a while ago. Maybe when my mom died." Legend shrugged. Or maybe before that. His dad was old and loved Artie's mom before so maybe it was from then? He didn't know.

"Why would you feel bad?" His voice was hollow. Yeah. You SHOULD feel bad Neptune. But Legend wasn't going to say that because that would actually make her feel bad, and he really didn't want that.

Legend could have used his strongest boy at Hogwarts strength to punch Neptune in the face and not.... have dealt a blow as significant as his words. "Do you... do you really think that? Believe that?"

Was that TRUE?

...

Her mind was boggled and her chest hurt now. "It's... I don't think it's that simple. And if you love her, isn't hard to not be with her?" Really hard? Really really really hard?

She didn't have a good answer for why she suddenly felt sick, so she didn't supply him with one. Neptune eased down to the floor and sat. That was better. Dirtier, but better.

Legend didn't have to think before he answered. He thought it was obvious where he sat at with the L-word. "I do. It makes sense doesn't it? If you go around not telling the person you love that you love them...well you might miss your chance." Suddenly Legend felt like he actual knew something, even if he did feel like it was common sense.

"It is hard...but it was harder to go through the breakup. I don't want to go through that again and then end up not being friends at all." He shrugged, not really wanting to explain his thinking. "I guess you could say I'm scared...but hearing Legend Chosen is scared does not make me sound cool."

As Neptune sunk onto the floor beside him Legend softly grabbed onto her arm. "Are you okay?"

Suddenly Legend felt like he actual knew something, even if he did feel like it was common sense.

"But what if you ... what if you didn't know for sure? And you missed your chance? Is that it?" Neptune wasn't really expecting an answer from Legend, more just trying to make the world make sense again and rambling out loud.

Neptune reached for his hands when he grabbed for her. "Sit with me?" Please?

She nodded to the break up thing. True enough, that part sucked. And not being able to be friends sucked, too. "Hearing Legend Chosen is scared makes me feel better. It's okay to be scared. I get scared everyday." True enough, for one reason or another. "You think it makes you sound weak, but I think it makes you... makes you even better of a person than I already thought you were." It meant he DID care and down deep in all those boy layers, Legend Chosen had feelings.

And apparently L-word.

"I bet she hates me for flirting with you for...,"
well... months? Yeah. "..a while."

There were a lot of what if's that Neptune was asking. Enough for Legend to get suspicious, and realize that her questions might be deeper than just dealing with him. "Is this about Jimmy?" He asked in a near whisper.

Without questioning her, Legend sat down next to Neptune, obviously to try and make her feel better. "That is different....I'm a bo-man." Yeah, that's what he was. He was was an adult and a man and he was not supposed to be scared. It just wasn't what normal men did. They didn't go around telling the whole world that they were scared. "...An even better person? Really?" He couldn't believe it. It wasn't a good thing.

He shook his head. "Nah. She doesn't even hate you now. If anything shes upset with me and will be for a while." She was often upset with him.

Neptune took in a deep breath and let it out slowly before she nodded to his question. She had promised him Jimmy explanations, and after all these eye-opening revelations from Legend, she owed him some truths. So... yes? It was sort of about Jimmy? Everything always ended up being about Jimmy. Even this now, even uncomplicated, happy-making Legend ended up being about Jimmy. "But it's over. Like... really over." For his part, at least.

She kiiiiiiiiiiiind of snuggled into his side when he sat. Greedy, needy snuggling. "It's a different kind of scared," Neptune reached up and touched her fingertips to his temple, "not the kind you do with your brain," then she reached over and lightly tapped the center of his chest, "but the kind of scared you do with your heart. I think it's acceptable." And she DID think it made him ... something more than he was before. Legend Chosen had depth. Who knew?

"Upset with you because... of what Orlando saw." And apparently told her. Guilt. Neptune felt guilty. "If you ask me to stop flirting with you, I will."

So it was about Jimmy! Legend knew, he gave Neptune a small smile. He wasn't a mind reader or anything, but he understood a little bit about this...grown up relationship stuff. "Are you sure it is? Did you even ask him? Did you tell him how you feel?" He was starting to sound like a girl but Neptune still liked Jimmy, that was obvious. But maybe he still liked her as well? Maybe he was just dating that new girl to try to get over Neptune? Legend wasn't sure but there was always a maybe.

Huh. That...made sense. It actually made a lot of sense to the Gryffindor. "Then I'm allowed to be scared if it has to do with my heart...I like that." He murmured. He was scared with anything that dealt with Katie. Scared to handle another break up, scared of not being friends, and scared that she would move on and he would just stay in the past. He wasn't going to tell Neptune this though. No. It was just too personal.

Legend didn't know what the right answer was. Would she be okay with that? "If...it makes you happy I don't want to ask you to stop but..." Stop? Legend trailed off. "I shouldn't have kissed you." He admitted. "I just made everything more complicated than it should be."

Neptune was pretty darn sure.

But no, she hadn't asked him. She didn't have to. And besides, "What would I ask him? He... he knows. He told me once that... he didn't want to like me anymore. I think... I think it is over now. For him, at least." She added another little nod to make herself feel more confident in that.

She offered him a smile this time. Glad to help, Legend Chosen.

And.... there was that. She was a regret. Funny how often Neptune ended up being a regret.

"You make me happy," not it,"but I think you just did ask me to stop," however inadvertently. It hurt her feelings a lot more than she had expected it would, but she'd never say. Legend loved his Katie and so Neptune would just... stop. And leave him alone. "I'm really sorry."

Clearly Neptune spoke girl. But she didn't understand the language of boys, and that could completely change the meaning to everything that Jimmy said. Even if it did sound a bit harsh to some people. "Just because he said he didn't want to like you anymore doesn't mean he doesn't like you." It made complete sense to him. "It's the same thing for me. Right now I don't want to like Katie but I do. It's simple guy language 'Tune." Simple, simple, simple.

Maybe.

If Jimmy did think the same way that he did.

Legend had made someone happy? That seemed like a first. "You don't have to be sorry. It was my fault" He shook his head. The kiss has made her happy. "You wanted me to kiss you, and I thought it would make you happy so I did. I.. wanted to do it too. I wasn't really thinking about hurting anyone's feelings."

"Isn't that.... worse? What's so wrong with wanting to want me? But it doesn't matter. It's just my own silly hangups and I've been trying to just ... you know. Move on, I guess?"
It hadn't worked with Jake at all. Or time.

Sigh.

"Fault? Fault... makes it sounds so wrong." And that made Neptune pout. SO maybe it HAD been wrong to him, but meh meh meh. But at least - at LEAST - Legend hadn't kissed her ONLY because she had wanted him to. He'd wanted to, too. At least there was that and Neptune wasn't entirely pathetic and repulsive. "It didn't feel wrong. I've had lots of wrong kisses." That hadn't been one of them.

But maybe she was wrong about it being wrong. "Did you ... talk to her?" About... stuff?

Legend opened his mouth but he found that no words came out. He really couldn't think of what to say. So instead of speaking he wrapped his wrapped his arm around Neptune's shoulder and gave her a small side hug."Haven't you already tried to move on? Wasn't that why you dated Jake? Or.." He really wasn't sure. But if she tried already...and it didn't work then clearly something was wrong.

Pouty Neptune was never good. "Ohh, okay sorry. It didn't feel wrong but...you know...just wasn't supposed to happen." He shouldn't have let it happen. That sounded better didn't it? He really hoped he wasn't hurting the girls feelings because that was not something he actually wanted to do.

"I did. We decided to try and fix our friendship." Legend's gaze landed on one of the suits of armor. It probably had been in the castle since it's beginning, and had probably witnessed millions of breakups.

Neptune held back an exasperated sigh and instead focused on settling her head on Legend's shoulder. The little hug made her feel better where his words just... didn't. "Dating Jake had nothing to do with Jim." Pause..."But breaking up with him did." ...... and then the exasperated sigh escaped anyway. "I was actually trying to ... well I don't think about Jim when I'm with you. You don't ever look at me and think Jim's. Or didn't until recently."

Bleh. This was not at all going like Neptune thought. She was forever hoping and expecting and never... things NEVER worked out like she thought. Never. If it was SO wrong and shouldn't have happened, then WHY had Neptune been SO happy for it? Sure Orlando had more or less ruined the end, but the beginning...

She sighed again. Nothing to say to him on it anymore. If that was how he felt, then that was how he felt.

"Ah. Been there, done that. Good luck."
