She sniggered.. oh and speaking of which, "You didn't show up back then right?" Yeah right. She just needed to know where the heck does Enya go when Louisa was looking for her. Even though, he wouldn't ever say so, he was anxious if not also a little nervous. It was all Professor Saylen's fault. This tournament wasn't THAT dangerous. Not like she kept on telling them it was. Though, the way some of the champions had looked after emerging from the cave last time had been quite bad. Luckily, the Healer had been around...but still. Bleh. This was supposed to be exciting...fun. They were going to be okay.

Pulling his hat down a little, the 32 year old continued to gaze downwards for any signs from the champions inside the maze.

To anyone :D

Carter headed to the stands with some parchment and and a self-inking quill. Alright. Time to get started on his article. Now, who to talk to...

hermionesclone 10-09-2010 07:37 PM

Hope you don't mind! =]

Kita walked down the the stands steadily. She couldn't believe how cold it was. It was seriously getting to her; especially when it came to breathing in the chilly air. Wrapping her scarf more tightly around her neck, she walked towards one of the stands.

As she walked up the stands, she couldn't believe how many people were already there. And to think she had had her breakfast quickly to get here quickly.

Kita noticed someone sitting alone, with a quill. Feeling kind of bad, she made her way along the row and asked, "Hey! Is it ok if i sit here?"

Hmm...

Iris looked around the stands, looking for a friend to sit with.

Nope. Noone!

No Jimbo, No Leilani... Not even any sign of Evan!

Sighing, and giving up defeat, Iris figured that she'd be sat watching the Second task on her own. Again. But then she saw a little first year, one that she'd seen sat on his own in the last task, make his way into the stands and set up camp; with what looked like a book and a flask of something.

That's one smart kid.

Grinning, Iris got up from her seat. And no, she was not going to haggle for some of what ever the kid had in his thermos. No, she was going to keep him company. Because he looked as lonely as he did last time. Especially with how he looked around for someone.

It was saddening, to think that a little kid like him has no friends.

So she climbed through the half-empty bleachers and made her way over to him. When she got to him, she sat down. Right next to him.

Teehee. He was simply ADORABLE! "Hullo, I'm Iris." She said, grinning. "I think you're quite smart; bringing a book along with you." The prefect commented, nodding towards the object in his hand.

No, everything was okay. They would be okay. They weren't in danger. At least not in mortal danger. And the rest Healer Moretti could fix. No worries. But then why was that he was still so freaking wor-

O__________o

What had he done to deserve to get a student on his lap? Blinking down at the Gryffindor for a moment, he then automatically started to help her up again. "You okay, Roxxy?" Well, she had had a soft landing that was for sure. As soft as his lap was anyway. "No worries." About that anyway. About the task, however...but, no, no need to worry about that either. Because they were going to be fine! "Mhm, they went into the maze already." That was all he knew anyhow. They couldn't see anything from out here.

But they were going to be fine.

And then they were joined by exactly THE person whose fault it was. It was her fault that he was now here not really enjoying the event but rather being anxious about the well-being of the champions. "Maya." The smile Jeremy gave her didn't quite reach his eyes before adding sarcastically AFTER the woman had already taken a seat, "Oh, please, feel free to join us." Like she hadn't already had.

Would it cause him to be fired if he langlocked her? Probably, right?! So instead he decided to be diplomatic. Maybe it would work too. "Please, Maya." He even turned in his seat to be able to fully face her, letting his genuinely pleading eyes rest on her. "Could we not talk about this for now? Please? I'm worried enough as it is." There was it. He had openly admitted to it. No need to hide it. It was just true. Maya's negativity had gotten in his head.

"And all thanks to you." Jeremy muttered more to himself than to the woman next to him while turning back to squint at the maze.

Oh dear, this was more boring than Rubiey had first anticipated. Staring at hedges for the best part of a day was not what she had expected when she found out the were hosting the TWT.

Sighing, she looked around to see if anyone else she knew was down here yet. Nope. It was kinda early, but still. She needed someone to entertain her!

Hmph.

Maya glanced at the Professor as the young girl fumbled about to a more vertical position, quite ignoring Jeremy's not so thruthful invitation. And hmmm...she hadn't heard any roaring yet. "Did your lion run off, or something?" she asked the girl. Curious.

'Please Maya'?
At first, the Mexicana glanced at the man, a bit confused by his tone, but seeing him that concentrated on her, Maya made sure she focused on him too. What is he up to? Gosh darnit, what is up with his eyes? It made her all..un-Maya-ish for a moment.
Not talk about it? "Oh, allright." Pursing her lips, she turned back to the maze. But her calm didn't last long. "What do you think about this weather?" She looked up at the sky, shading her eyes from the winter sun. "It's lovely, isn't it?" With a stretchy smile towards Jeremy, Maya's sarcasm showed again, but it was more jokingly than the harshness she usually put in into such words. Good weather to oogle at hurt students. "The winters in Mexico do not come this white. Nuh-huh." Bleh, she missed home.

YUM.

"I'm lovely." She grinned. She really was lovely. Still in that WONDERFUL kind of mood she'd been in all term. "You?"

Lexi peered at Lily out of the corner of her eyes. She was still too cold to move much more than that. When Lil offered her coffee, though, Lexi smiled then actually turned to face her best friend. "Ohh, th-thanks," she mumbled, accepting the coffee. She grew quiet as she took a sip of the hot beverage, and then she laughed at the whole charms comment as she handed the mug back to Lily.

"Lovely, hmm? What's been going on with you lately, Lil? You seem...extra happy," Lexi commented. Her eyes remained fixated on her friend as she expectantly awaited an answer.

Lion?! What was Maya talking about? Jeremy let his hazel eyes flicker back and forth between Roxxy and the CoMC's Professor next to him briefly with a slightly confused look on his face. There was a lion around?! No, not really, right? They wouldn't let a living lion run around the castle. Though, maybe Maya would? :worried:

He wasn't completely sure but he thought he could see a small change on the woman's face as she looked right back at him. And she agreed?! Just like that. Jeremy couldn't quite keep the surprise from his voice as he answered, "Oh...okay, good. Thanks." He hadn't dared to think it was going to be that easy. Shaking his head slightly, he even managed a small smile for Maya before turning his attention back to the maze.

...but the peace didn't last long. "It IS." Yes, he had sense her sarcasm but he genuinely thought it was lovely. "Don't you think so?" Obviously not but he wanted an explanation. Jeremy continued to gaze up at the falling snowflakes - better that than staring down at the maze - as Maya went on. Hang on...Mexico?! "You from Mexico?" That was rhetorical obviously.

No homework. Right. Why wasn't she surprised? Louisa kept on caressing Kitty's head while feeding the little thing as her eyes hang upon the maze. "Scary things. That sounds NOT scary." She chuckled. "They had scary things back in the last task. It would've been really stupid if they do this time too." She shrugged.

"Who are you cheering for?" The most idiotic question anyone would ask Enya. Still Louisa wanted to know if the girl could cheer for someone who was about to risk his life? "I cheered for Miles last time. Our Prefect and all. Today I just cheer for Hogwarts." She grinned at her friend.

"If only I knew what kept you busy that much." She mumbled under her breath. Uh-huh. She'd do anything to know why Enya liked to be alone although they were friends now.

Lily grinned at her friend, one eyebrow raised, as if to say, 'Whatever are you talking about?' Heh. But Lily knew. She just did.

And so did Lexi.

"I told you already." She commented lightly, sipping coffee as her eyes strayed away for a moment to see if any of the Champions had come out yet. "Remember? It's that." Cryptic, yes, BUT, Lexi knew all about it by now.

Was...there a reason Jeremy looked like he did right now? Mem, probably nothing. But, it made her wonder what was going on in the man's head when he got that look on his face again...like he didn't know what to do? Or something. Wait, had her spanish accent totally clouded her english? He had understood what she had said, right?? Ay.

Now with a more amused smile, the Mexicana looked at Jeremy as he replied to her questions. She hadn't expected him to answer, seeing how annoyed he seemed with her. But he did!
"It is...very beautiful." The previous jesting had somewhat dulled when she thought back on how she'd reacted the first time she saw the snow covered grounds. If there hadn't been any kids around, she would've run out and then rolled around in the whiteness like a happy creature. "Not something I'm used to." Specially the cold. Frickin' cold. >_< "I see you were prepared for this." A nod towards his knitted hat. It looked warm.

"Mexico, yes." And now she looked rather happy. "The country next to yours... I'm assuming by your eloquent accent, you are from America?" Hmmmm? Maya turned her head to face him with a more gentler smile. A more curious one.

But she was right, nothing he was particularly used to either. "Well, to be honest, I am. Though, I can imagine that you've not exactly seen a lot of snow down there in Mexico, eh?" He mused with a smile before following the direction of her nod. Oh, his hat? "Yeah, I've got a lot of them...and when I say a lot, I mean it. My sister likes to...buy stuff. Loads of stuff." LOADS. Which is how he had ended up with at least a dozen woolen hats.

So they were, what, neighbors? Heh. It was good to talk about stuff with Maya that was NOT the champions and how they were probably going to get killed during the task. Much more...positive. "Yup, you've guessed correctly." Was it really THAT obvious? Apparently. "Massachusetts, actually. That's why I'm perfectly equipped for this weather." And hey now, why was he looking so smug? Knew what, exactly? Maya raised an eyebrow. "Oh no wait, I lied - I don't like the snow, it's really ugly. All sparkly and...white." Yeah she probably wouldn't convince Jeremy she meant that. Ofcourse, it was a joke - however dull it was.
And he thought correctly. Not much snow at all. She'd never seen any real live snow before. Aha, he had a sister. The Mexicana nodded slowly, feeling a slight nostalgia at the family talk. "Smart sister you have. I'm sure you cannot have too many hats." She could use one right now.

Maya knew she had guessed correctly. Pffft, no need to tell her that. Hehe. Perfectlu equipped, indeed. "I hear that is a lovely city." Yes yes. As seen on TV, or something.

Oh. Question. Uhm. Why had she come here? Er, to travel a little? "Well..." Ugh, don't sound so unsure! "I was offered a position at this...school," this very strange school with equally strange students, "And I decided to come here to teach." Simple answer with sufficient facts. "How about you?" But...did Maya really care?

Well yes, ofcourse.

If he was irritated, it didn't show. In fact he was practically nonchalant and she gritted her teeth together, annoyed her evil plan had failed. That was SO pout!worthy. She could just sit and pout and scowl and it would be better than being dragged back up to Lafay who'd probably eat her.

MEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

He smirked at her and Cameron sent him a smarmy smile. He knew she was up to something. Duh. No need to continue, then. "Looking forward to it, babe." Strangely, she was. What could he do?

MUAHA. Nothing! hehe. "Am I supposed to be scared?" She asked, egging him on. C'mon. SOMETHING, Oliver. She wanted SOME sort of reaction. His smirkysmirk was something she would've wiped off clean if she was in a worse mood. HMPH. Smirky!Annoying!boy.

Grrr.

She shrugged. If he could do nonchalant so could she. But it just looked ridiculous and petty.

"Bonding? I'd rather kiss the squid."

Take that Snake!Boy.

Blahblahblah. Lafay was a real creeper. She gave Cameron the shivers. Cammy'd bet her last nut that if a boggart appeared right then and there, it'd be Lafay. Shudddder. That'd be horrible. As if one wasn't bad enough.

She smiled charmingly back at Oliver in return to the unflattering look he gave her. "Cheerup snookums, this is a conversation bonding sesh you'll never forget."

Wink.

Enya was still looking forward, over the heads of all the other students and at the maze. She hadn't been at the first task so she really didn't know what 'scary' things they had in it. Finally after a while she turned to look at Louisa. "This whole task is suppose to be hard and full of scary things. Im guessing they would put more scary things in this task" She said turning back forward. Duh!

Cheering for? They had to cheer for someone. Enya peeked at the girl sat next to her, chewing her bottom lip. Hm, who was she cheering for? Shrugg. "No one" She said simply, cheering for boring. She'll just cheer for the winner. Louisa can cheer for who ever she wanted to cheer for. This girl, Enya Mayberry didn't cheer.

Turning slightly so she actually faced Louisa she raised her eyebrow slightly. "Why do you even care?" She asked, what she did was really none of the girl's buisness, was it?

Until...of course, so the girl, Grayson, had been paying attention to the first task. Good. Because she was afraid that 'amazing' could equal bloody and on the verge of death. Good thing they understood each other now, "I see, yes, that vas the point, no? Get out alive" she almost laughed, that hadn't been the primary point at all, but her perspective on things had changed.

Points. No, she didn't truly care about those, so she shrugged just a bit.

Grayson seemed to believe the same thing about the Whomping Willow, it was up to Salander to believe it true or not, or not care at all. That would be the best, to not care about the tree, Danika was not caring about any tree for sure.

Grayson's thought that Danika was a bit nicer than Aleksandra had been was bolstered by the smile. At least that made it feel like she wasn't an interloper or anything, and she really didn't like that feeling. But she'd gotten over what had sort of happened at the start-of-term feast, so it didn't matter. Beyond the fact she now had met half the foreign champions. Two of which were still competing. And she nodded at the response to her explanation. "I think so. Well, I mean, winning is the point. But getting out alive runs a close second," she said, shrugging a little. Not enough to jar Draco around her neck though. She was always aware of her ferret.

And then it seemed they were waiting for Salander to respond to the Whomping Willow stuff, and she sat back before she'd been noticed by Professor Lafay. And she'd had to move. At least she'd still get to watch the task.

Merlin to Betsy! "Of course I'm sure, I wouldn't have told you to sit." She said rolling her eyes... and watched her skip towards the head boy.

... Ravishing?

"Master Greenwood," She said reproachingly, "I am in no mood to play games. Once you've finished sucking up, I would like you to tell me why you have forgotten to greet me once more, when you first approached. It is rude and I thought I made that clear during class... Apologize, greet both myself and the ladies and gentleman that have joined me in the stands, then take a seat beside me." She said angrily.

... was Miss Caddock coming back?

She nodded as the quote-unquote invitation to sit was repeated, then took a seat one away from the professor. On the opposite side of where Cam had been before she'd gone to get the Head Boy. No need to cause an issue with seats, and she wanted to think those were reserved. But she turned to look at the professor again as she expressed concern over the view. At least, she thought it was concern. "I think it's as good as possible. We can't really see much more than the entrance of the maze anyway," she said, returning her attention to that as she spoke. At least, that was all she could see. For all she knew the professor could see through the hedges. Which was slightly scary, yet cool. Any way to know what was going on in there.

Oh, and now it was the other way around again?! Jeremy couldn't suppress a roll of his hazel eyes at Maya. Riiight. "Sure you did. Because white is just...ew, right?" He smirked slightly before leaning in and whispering, as if he were telling her his secret plan of world domination, "You know, it's not bad to be positive about something at times." Hehe.

Leaning back in his seat again, he swiftly wiped at snowflake off the tip of his nose. One could never have enough hats?! "Yeah, well, she thinks you cannot have enough of ANYTHING." It was only then that Maya didn't have a hat...and he had just told her he had about a dozen up in his office. "Oh, I'm sorry, hang on." And with that Jeremy gave his wand a little flick to non-verbally summon one of the many hats from his office. "There you go." He grinned broadly at her while offering Maya the blue hat. Hopefully she liked blue.

City? Oh, she was probably talking about Boston. Boston was the famous city. There even were TV series, like Boston Legal. (:P) "Mhm...I'm not from Boston, though, I used to live in Chelsea." The one in Massachusetts obviously.

She was hestitant about answer too?! Jeremy couldn't help his eyebrows going up slightly as she struggled to answer. "Oh." Well, that was the obvious answer. And there it was...her returning the question. Bleh. "Mhm...same here." Sorta. Part of the truth anyhow. He quickly averted his hazel eyes back to the maze as if looking for signs from the champions within.

Rolling her gray eyes, she blamed it on the fact she was running late. And there were some meddlesome mudbloods that had gotten in her way on the third floor. She should have just cursed them out of her way. She would have been on time if she had done that.

Darting her eyes around, she ran her hands on her dark plaid skirt, running out the creases. She needed to stop worrying, she knew Noel was going to be fine. He had prepared for the task, thoroughly. "Just be zafe." She muttered to herself, running her hand down to her combat boot to make sure her wand was still snuggled between her black tights and black knee high socks. Yes, nice and safely still there.

Looking back at the maze entrance, she clapped her hands together, mustering a smile on her face. "Go Noel and Fletcher!" She yelled, knowing they wouldn't be able to hear. But still, it was the thought that counts.

Snugly and warm inside her Vintage Chanel tweed dress, Brielle strutted her way along the rows of seating looking for a place to sit.

Not at all pleased that she was now on the other side of the stand, Brielle couldn't help but wear a slight scowl on her gorgeous, perfectly structured face. Making sure to watch out for hands, the French girl, stomped her platform skin-calf boots on the wooden floors of the stands, whilst fingering her wand that was clasped in her hands. As she walked past a rather chicly dressed girl, Brielle was amused to hear her cry, "Go Noel and Fletcher!". It seemed she had a fan girl on her hands, but at least she was cheering for Noel.......taking a look at the girl, Brielle could help but smile as she stopped directly behind the girl, and placed her hands on her hips.

Nope.

Evan arrived at the stands, hoping he wasn't late. Probably he had missed the beginning and all that stuff, but he didn't think he missed much. From what he had heard, it was pretty boring just sitting there, and he didn't think being a little late would be a big loss. Yes, Monique said she would look for him, though it was at the end. Besides, it wasn't like she could see who was who from that range, right? Yeah, everything was fine with his thickest winter clothes available. He didn't even seem to feel the cold that much. The icing on the cake would be a Monique and Raiden win, hopefully.

With his classical Chelsea scarf, the Slytherin looked for someone he recognised. He could see only Iris who was talking to some little kid. Being a prefect, maybe? He didn't want to interrupt such a thing, so he opted to sit somewhere in the middle as he waved to her with a smile. Hopefully this wouldn't be so boring like the first task waiting had been.

Hehe. He said 'ew' - oddly, that word sounded funny to the Mexicana. "Yes... 'eu'." Hm, had she said that right? Seeing Jeremy smirk, she couldn't help but copy him, but it wanished and a soft squint appeared. RawRrrr! "Hey, I am positive about things." Oh how she wanted to start lecturing him in spanish. "Being honest is not the same thing as being negative, seńor." Seńor, indeed. Maya took a deep breath and got more comfortable in her COLD seat. "But yes... I fully agree." She did. But let's not tell the whole world, shall we?

So his sister was a serious shopper, then. Well, if the clothes were good, how could you not buy them. But being brought up in near poverty, Maya knew how to be satisfied with what you had.
Eh? 'Sorry'? For what- Ay, frijoles. What had he summoned?? It took a short moment for her to realise he had a blue puffy hat in his hands, and he was offffffering it to her. It...had a white fluffy ball on the top aswell. Slowly, she reached out and took it. Atleast the little whiteness went with her white coat. "Oh, thankyou Mister Zookara." Any reason she went back to the formalities? "I'll get this back to you afterwards." A soft smile and nod. Unless he was afraid of her cooties. And now...to put it on, yes? She let down her hair from the bun and put the hat on. Yep. Whoever had invented these things was a genius. A smile stretched her face. "Warm." ^_^ Mmmm, yes.

Chelsea? "Oh, I see." That was beautiful too, she assumed. And he had done the same - somehow it was nice knowing she wasn't the only one away from home. "You miss it?"

He was about to sit when Cam dragged him into the chair which he flopped into rather ungratiously. He gave her a look, his lip slowly curling upwards into a sneer as she started on about him wanting to be a.. 'Potioneer.'

Snicker. But Lafay was having none of it. Wise woman. Wise scary woman. He smirked at Cam then turned his attention back to hedge watching.

She sighed. "I am not unapproachable. I'm here. You approached me, did I turn you into potion ingredients for my next class? No. You haven't as much as lost a point. There she said it. "Now... Is it true you have an interest in potions?"

Bwahahahaha!!

Now THIS was more entertainment then staring at hedges was. The Blonde had literally been giggling her mind off at Oliver, Cammy and Lafay's little mothers meeting going on in the stands. This was hilarious. Absolutely hilarious. And Lafay was threating to take points from Cam and give her detention. Oh goodness, DO IT!! A smirk was plastered right across her face.

Though she should probably rescue Oliver in a moment right? The Sixteen year old tried to get her besties attention. If he wanted an escape just use HER as an excuse, something along the lines of 'she can't be left alone with her Brain damage business.' That could work. Or did he want HER to come over.

Ugh. Whhhhy, could she never get to these things on time?! Seriously, she had to be terrible at planning. Well, mabey she'd make it on time to the next one.

Naaaaaw!! LOOKIT THE LITTLE BOY!! "Hellooo, and who are you?" she asked the kid nicely. N'aaaw, little people were adorable... That is, when they weren't bugging the crap out of her. Plus, now a bunch of them were shorter than her.

Winning. Yes. That sounded so much like Vladimir. Wasn't he going to come and support Nik and Sandra?

Either way, Danika only gave her a small nod, "Right, I forgot avout vinning", that's why she wasn't on the second task, she forgot about the winning part.

The Durmstrang girl eyed the ferret around the girl's neck, yes, she'd noticed it before, but she thought it was only one of those fashions, after all, they did wear fur up north. But then she saw it move.

"Vhat is his name?" assuming it was a he?

SPOILER!!: Treyen, Ellie, Arya!

Raiden? Huh? Treyen didn't hide his disappointment, eyebrows furrowed and all, "Raiden?" like, why? Sure, the boy had been the first one out last time, but that was no insurance of anything. The Huffie boy smiled next, grinned almost, when he replied, "Fletcher, of course, Sir Awesome" Sir Duncan Awesome Fletcher, that one. The Hufflepuff boy made of awesome, got it?

Oh, he noticed, the look towards the book! Treyen looked around first, in case Saylen popped out of nowhere. She does that. "Oh, I have a never ending assignment" he said, almost sighing, "I have to read about Nifflers and find stuff out if I want Phineas back" though, he highly doubted that was happening soon considering it had taken him around 3 months to get a book, Phineas might have forgotten him by now.

Thanks Saylen.

"It serves as a distraction, you know" because he freaked out big time in the first task.

And here came Arya.

Treyen frowned, "Why are you wearing green?" it wasn't just the green, it just seemed as if she was supporting the Slytherin boy. Colors didn't truly matter, after all, he was wearing a purple/blue scarf, but Arya seemed to be supporting someone...other than Fletcher, the Awesome.

Sneaky badger.

He did eye the hot chocolate. Ha. Someone was smart enough to bring hot beverages. Perfect!

Eh, what?

Long time no see. True. Very true, considering the fact that he'd forgotten her name! Oh, he should be ashamed of himself. It was odd, though, because he never forgot a name.

The boy resisted the urge to scratch his head while he thought of her name. But...nothing came to mind. Eek! "Heeey, everything is going great...see...Fletcher is right there" alive, and safe.

She picked up the end of her yellow scarf and waved it a bit. "I'm supporting Fletcher too." In case he thought she abandoned her house. That would never happen.

Noticing him eying her hot chocolate, her frown faded into a grin. "You want some? I can duplicate it..." It wouldn't last long in his stomach, but it would keep him warm while they waited for the champions.

Spotting the younger girl looking at her, she smiled a bit more. "Hey, I'm Arya.-" That conversation, however, did not last long as the young puff heard a familiar voice calling her name.

"Hey, Ivy!!" Grin widening, she gratefully returned the hug from her best friend. "You haven't missed a thing, they just went in..."

She glanced back over to the maze anxiously before turning back to her bestie. Free hand reaching up and flicking a strand of the girl's green and gold hair. "Love the hair." Her eyes caught site of Grayson, and she returned the girl's wave. Peeking back at the maze when she cheered for Raiden and Fletcher.

Was there a special part of the benches reserved for people supporting Sir Awesome and he didn't know about it?

Tsk. Tsk. Treyen frowned at the scarf even more. She was all green with a yellow spot. That was no fair. Both color should be equal, no? Or no colors at all. He had no particular color. All good.

"I would have never guessed you were supporting Fletcher" no smile.

But he smiled next. "Oh, no, that's okay, thank you Arya" well, not yet. The boy nodded while he answered and then his smile widened. Arya had said the Ravenclaw's name! Ivy! And he knew that was short of something. Yeah, he was good.

Real good. Now he remembered knew the name.

Nod. That's right. Nothing wrong with Raiden.

"Oh, I don't doubt he's bright. Or clever. Must be." Because Ellie had a theory on the Tournament. And that included all the champions being both smart and skillful. But she smirked at the 'all Hufflepuffs'. Ellie didn't believe you could count the whole house on something. She thought that everyone made their own.

GASP. "Oh no! What happened to it?!" There was a critter in need! Concern was an understatement.

Ellie smiled. "Hi Arya. I'm Ellie." And another girl. Heh. She was still introducing herself, she didn't mind the change of attention. Someone else came. It was onnnllyy polite to say hi to them. Yes? Yes.

Giggling at Arya's comment on her hair, Ivory reached over and tugged a strand of hers. [b]"I like yours too

Having been completely engrossed in the Task, Ivory came out of her reverie and turned back to her companions which is when she noticed there was actually another girl sitting on Treyen's other side. "Oh wow I'm so sorry where are my manners. Hi, I'm Ivy." Smiling cheerily, she tried to tune back into the conversation. "What are we talking about?"

He was sitting amongst Raiden's supporters, that had to be a difficult task, right? Actually, he didn't consider the option in which Fletcher wouldn't take part on any other task. He was thinking about that at the moment...in case that happened, then he'll be most likely to support Raiden as well.

Soooo, truth be told, they were all supporting Raiden either way.

But at the moment, only Fletcher.

Oh, his manners! "Right. Ellie, Ivy, Ivy, Ellie" grin. He knew her name now. Thanks to Arya, of course.

"Umm, skating, and fun stuff...not the Tournament at all" and then Treyen sort of laughed, because it seemed rather strange to be talking about things that weren't particularly related to whatever the Champions were facing in the maze. Unless it did include a skateboard or doing some rollerskating.

Treyen doubted it.

"Well, as soon as possible", she chuckled,"they are dyyyyying and keep telling me how bad i am for not introducing them to you."

Something in Edmond's eyes told her he was afraid.
"Dont be scared",she smiled taking his hand," they will loooove you."

Fee couldnt help but smile at his comment.
"Oh man", she happy sighed," i really got the best boy by my side.Couldnt blame people for being jealous."

So true, if all the girls knew what of a great guy Edmond were they would be like suuuper jealous.

"Its not payback its just the effect we have on eachother", she chuckled a little.

That was so true, Edmond had such a hufe effect on Fee. She always felt happy and complete around him. he made her feel calm and all her problems seemed like so far away.

"So maybe i should cheer for the Cameron, cause there is this one Gryffie i adore", she winked back at him.

Edmond chuckled and without another word he happilly took the seat beside Feenella.

"That bad," Ed gulped. Her friends were definately going to rate him or something. Okay, that wasn't so bad, was it? Was he looking good today...you know, to make a good first impression on them.

Edmond sighed in slight relief. They would love him, that was good, but then there was always that one person that thought differently than the others.

"No, I have the best girl." he said like if it was obvious. She deserved every nice compliment that was out there.

Edmond chuckled, "I like this effect." he said wiggling his eyebrows.

"Nah, Slytherin champion," he smirked, jokingly. "After all that Gryffie you adore is a Slythie at heart." he said, smiling. Did that even make sense.

Carter's proposition was something she wasn't expecting. Trying to control her excited self, she asked, "What do you mean?"

Carter chuckled. "I'm not quite sure I want to be a journalist." he said. "I'd much rather be the person written about." Like an article about him being a famous quidditch player some time in the future would be nice.

"Well... how do you feel about the Tri-Wizard tournament being held this year?" He, himself, was a bit nervous about it considering everything that's happened at the school the past few years. "Nervous? Excited? Anything in particular?" he asked getting his quill ready.

Iris looked away from the very quiet first year when she saw a shade of blue find a seat a little while away from her. And it wasn't a Ravenclaw blue. Smirking, she was completely unsuprised to see that it was Evan sporting that not-very-sexy Chelsea scarf.

Grinning as he waved to her, Iris waved back. Then she made a 'c'mover here you fool!' motion with her hand. Just as she was about to yell over to him though, someone yelled over to her.

Ugh. Whhhhy, could she never get to these things on time?! Seriously, she had to be terrible at planning. Well, mabey she'd make it on time to the next one.

OOH LOOKIT!! MONTY!! "Hey hey, Monty!"

Leilani greeted her with a wave before climbing up to sit down next to her. Look, she found a friend and a seat-- TADA!! Oh yes. She was ahhmazing :)

Naaaaaw!! LOOKIT THE LITTLE BOY!! "Hellooo, and who are you?" she asked the kid nicely. N'aaaw, little people were adorable... That is, when they weren't bugging the crap out of her. Plus, now a bunch of them were shorter than her.

Heh.

Spinning her head round after hearing the name "Monty", Iris expected to see Jimbo. She didn't acknowledge that it was a girl's voice, though. When she saw that it was Leilani, Iris frowned a TEENSY bit, but then grinned brightly.

Sure, Leilani wasn't Jimbo... but she was just as crazy. Only concentrated. " 'LAAAANI!" The prefect waved back, and grinned at her when she came over and sat next to her. "Have you seen Jimbo?" She was expecting him to be here already, sat with a GIANT banner that flashed between green and pink, with 'GO RAIDEN!' written on it. But no, he wasn't here at all.

As Leilani spoke to the really quiet first year, Iris shrugged. She didn't know who the boy was. He hadn't spoke to her.

"Well, this is something new. Like, i enjoyed Quidditch and i was pretty sad about it not being there this year but the Tournament is something that the whole school can get together in and it makes you forget about the rivalries between the houses. Sort of," she said, rambling as usual, "I guess, i'm both nervous and excited about it. Change is something i like and you get excited about the possibility of something new. But then again, there are all those stories of people dying," the image of Cedric Diggory flashed in front of her eyes but she continued, "And that makes you a bit scared for the champions. And i don't know what else to say." It was then that she noticed his quill and said, "Hey, that was very smooth! You're good!"

Never.

He may be shy at the beginning but he was all caring and funny.

There were other question that were asked, and needed answers. The boy sighed, "I think you'll understand it more if you tried it" because he was getting nowhere? "If we think of brooms as wood that flies it's pretty much the same, but that's not the point...it's the feeling of freedom, and the air on your face" that's what he was comparing it to, not the literal 'skateboard' thing.

He could laugh, but he wouldn't, this was serious business. "No, well, yes, like a bike, but you don't slide..." oh, but...blink, blink, blink...evil grin, "...now that you mention it, sliding on it would be even more fun" they should definitely try that.

"I don't, but we could" haha, that would be fun, sliding down hill, mmm, does Hogwarts have dangerous hills? Because they should skip those.

The boy grinned, "It should be" they still hadn't gotten to the point of trying out the rollerskating part.

"Skating, Arya" he replied, with a smile, surely Arya had plenty of things on her mind to be able to keep up with his conversation with Ellie.

"Oooh, okay." The feeling of being on a broom. Well, that made much more sense. Because, she was pretty sure that nothing could really compare to a broom, literally. Even a mop.

Ellie studied his face for a moment. It changed. Heh. She gave him an ideaaa. Smirk. "I know, I'm brilliant." Hold applause, please.

"You all should find some hills, then." Heh. Brilliant idea.

She turned to Arya. "And sliding." she added to Treyen's answer. Skating AND sliding. And both sounded like fun.

Hills. "Absolutely! And we should probably do that soon...." his eyes were now keeping track on the maze. For a moment there he thought he saw something. Must have been his mind playing tricks on him, because there was nothing there. Nothing at all...just...a maze.

"Ellie!" he said, eyes focusing on her again, "We should slide while winter's here...much more slippery than spring" true, so very true.

If only they could talk to the Squid and slide into the lake...er, on second thought, maybe not.

Sliding on hills, snow covered hills...the skate was for spring.

He eyed the maze once more, "What do you think they could find there? I mean, besides everything that was found in Harry Potter times" because everyone knew that, right?

But dont get me wrong if Fletcher wins I probably will be struting around like I knew him or something." she said laughing. It would be so Great if the Huffie wins the tournament. She smiled as Em said her coco was good. "Thanks. I made it, The rents sent it back with me when i came back from Christmas Break." Which remind her she needed to write them a nice long thank letter. She listened to Em Descibe the boy but it still was no help. She just didnt know who he was. "Well if he doesnt remember you and find you to return it, we'll just have to find him"' she said winking again and nudging her.

Professor Lafay and Danika (Yes, Grayson has yet to learn Oliver's name. xD)

As the professor had been talking to Cam and the Head Boy, Grayson had sort of assumed she could go back to simply watching the maze for anything that might happen. Not to mention she was keeping her ears open for any noises that might make it up to them in the stands. Even if they were as nerve-wracking as everything they'd heard during the first task, it would at least tell her something of what was going on in there. But she blinked as she heard her name again, and turned to Professor Lafay. "Me? I'm rooting for Hogwarts. Well, both Raiden and Fletcher, but yeah. Hogwarts," she said. Thinking about her t-shirt, which wasn't really visible with her parka all zipped and fastened up. Although she was also still sort of quietly rooting for Noel, as he'd been nice to her when they'd met at the feast. But she wasn't going to mention that to anyone, let alone the professor.

And then she heard Danika again, and turned to her with another tiny shrug. "That can happen. It's sad, but it can happen." It kind of seemed like the red-headed Durmstrang girl was a bit disappointed in herself for not making it to the second task. Maybe it was because their headmaster was kind of terrifying. A bit like her fear of Professor Lafay, really. But then, she'd just met the other girl, so she didn't know. And her eyes widened as she noticed how Danika was eyeing Draco, not knowing if it was a bad thing or if the other girl was interested. "My ferret?," she asked, surprised. Apparently maybe it had been interest, but she was still nervous having him around the professor. "He's Draco. I named him after Draco Malfoy." She didn't know if Danika was aware of the old stories, but at least she could explain that much. Even if she'd named the ferret that more because of her like of the stories about Mad-Eye Moody, and even though that specific story was even not really about him. That just seemed too complicated to explain to the older girl without feeling stupid.

The didn't really know what to do without her scowl. She shifted uneasily in her seat and tried to summon up a smile. She did NOT fancy getting into detention with Lafay. Seriously. The woman was a loony.

"There was no manner, Professor. I was merely stating a fact." Lafay HAD ordered her to sit. But she smiled - however fake it was - making it look somewhat believable and made it very clear she wasn't going to make any more disruption. She wasn't losing points from HER house, thank you very much. Not points her house had worked hard for. HMPH.

So she sat. Like a good girl. HMPH. Because staring at hedges was SO fun.

Blinking her gray eyes slowly, she looked up to hear french. Oh, it was Brielle! Though, she didn't look all that pleased, until she flashed a brilliant smile. She normally didn't get along well with girls, but with her.. she oddly felt like she could. That and she didn't want to seem like a total prude to the friend of the guy she is.. seeing.

"Bonjour Brielle,"
she smiled back up at the girl. She was sharply dressed. "I zee the Chanel lookz good on you." She had always had a strange love for Chanel as well. With going to fancy dinner parties when she was young, she always wore the old fashions more than the new. "Non, you 'eard right. Fletcher waz one of ze firzt friends 'ere at 'ogwarts. I root for 'im too." She couldn't help it. His safety was key to figuring out the rest of their plot against the school, anyways.

She gestured a wave for the girl to take a seat next to her. She couldn't stand all day. "Pleaze, join me." Plus, she can learn a little about Noel and possibly.. dare she say, make a friend? "I know Noel will be alright." Or at least she was planning on him being alright.

The girl knew fashion, Brielle had thought there was something about Cosette that was worthy of Noel's attention........but Fashion was more Brielle's department, so in her books Cosette got big ticks!
"Merci!" She smiled as she took the spot next to the girl, "I muzt zay your tightz are trés chic." It was only polite to compliment a complimenter.......waz zat a word?

The Former Champion, listened to Cosette's rationale for her allegiance, and she could not help but agree. It had been Glitterpuff Fletcher who had helped her after the first Task. Her desire to repay him was the only other reason beside Noel and Monique, why she was here. "OK, zo I will let you 'ave zat one," she smiled, "pluz 'e is rather attractive too...." she said as nonchalant as possible. Brielle found Fletcher attractive yes, but she was sure that Cosette had eyes for another.....

"Noel iz one of ze bezt Wizardz, I know. Il sera bien" Brielle had know Noel since their first year, and he was always one to get him out of trouble, and this Tournament was nothing different. He would be fine, and better yet, Brielle was sure he was going to win. "You like 'im don't you?"

It was straight to the point, but able to be taken two ways. The gauntlet was down, would Cosette take it up?

yes, I am aware of the fact that you are still here
:one_brow: mhmm
shut up.

She glanced up at Iris' banner before smirking slightly. Okay, so yes Raiden was in Slytherin and he was their prefect-- but she was still rooting for Fletcher.

Man, Running away from a crazy shopkeeper lady in Diagon Alley can really change a person. However-- Lani highly doubted that he remembered that little incident at all...

"Oh... I thought that maybe you would have." She said, glancing to the small girl. Greeeeeeeeat. Leilani thought something was going on between Jimbo and herself, didn't she?

GAH. Well...

There wasn't. Nope. They were just friends. Even if Jimbo did.. uh, well... l i k e Iris. You can't help those things. They just happen.

Iris slouched in her seat a little bit, and sighed. "Y'know, they really should have gone all 'Big Brother' with this thing. With magical cameras floating around the champions. So we could actually watch the action." But no. Tate didn't think like that. Did he just want his students to be BORED whilst waiting for people to immerge?!

Cosette gave the girl a smile when she took a seat next to her, moving her small leather rucksack. She may sometimes be fashionable, but half the time she is all combat boots and plaid and leather. She was a bit of a spitfire when it came to that. "Merci," she beamed. She had learned a little bit of fashion over the years. She did live in Paris, for goodness sakes. "I got zem when I firzt came to London." She had heard it got dreadfully cold up here, so some tights were a definite want.

She gave the girl a smug smile, knowing she was probably wondering why she was rooting for both of them. She couldn't help at least being nice and rooting for Fletcher too. He was a silly man, but a good one none the less. "Oui, 'e iz. Though, 'e iz juzt a friend." She blatantly severed the ties she had with him in the non-romantic manner, due to the fact she didn't want anymore run in's with getting her hair pulled out or expelled for that matter. "I can put in a good word for you, if you want?" She smiled at the girl, giving her a wink. Hey, if she wanted to know Fletcher, she could provide access.

When she brought up Noel and his skills, she couldn't help but smile. From their recent conversations and discoveries, they were almost to alike to manage. "Oui, I 'ave no doubtz about zat." She didn't know what was going down in that maze, but she knew he would make it out on top. Just like he did the last task. "'E is very knowledgable in 'iz spellz. 'E makes for a good dueling partner, I bet." She wanted to duel with him sometime. Her words made her wonder though. What was he like back at school? She had only seen him a few times in the halls back at Beauxbatons, but she wondered how he acted there.

"Oh!" Now the next question served as a surprise. Folding her pale cold hands in her lap, she looked at Brielle astonishingly. Did she really just ask that? She had never liked someone in her whole life, let alone wanted anyone in that way. But she bit her lip. Was the feeling she has been developing for Noel become to liking? She never knew the feeling, so it must be that, right? Giving her a small sigh, she nodded her head. "Oui, I do." She finally said it, out loud to hear. "I zink it waz ever zince we talked at ze courtyard." It was strange, but it felt.. oddly nice. She looked at Brielle, knowing she was one of his closest friends. What did she have up her sleeve?

Nope.

Hugo looked up at the wayy older girl. "Oh hai," he smiled. "Thanks," he said looking back at his book. Quidditch through the ages. Yup, he wanted to make the team later. Then, a second older girl ran up to them.

"I'm Hugo," he said a bit hesitant. Suddenly they were treating him like he was a cute baby. LOL! He was already... eleven...

Iris grinned to the boy, "You're welcome!" She looked down, as he looking to his book. Quidditch Through the Ages. The prefect frowned sadly, the book reminding her of Aaron. They'd sat on the floor of the Quidditch shop, reading that book in the summer before coming to Hogwarts.

Sad times.

Then, she grinned again. There wasn't any point in being all sad about Aaron not being here, could she? Besides, he was coming to visit soon! "Can you fly?" She asked, indicating to the book. Maybe it was a silly question. Who knows? Who cares? Iris didn't.

"Oh. Nah, I haven't seen him." Hmm, where was he? Probobly like, eating or doing something else Jimbo's do. Which waaaas... what again? Pranks, eating, harrassing small children. Yup, they should all be afraid.

LOL "That would be so cool! You should put in a request that they do that for the next one." Wait, there were three tasks right?! ... Yes there were. Huh. Well plus, with Monty being Prefect and all people would actually listen to her.

Yup, that would have been awesome. Buuut it wasn't.

For anybody (:

Jack was hoping that, on coming down to the stands for the second task, he would be able to actually see what was going on, since last time he couldn't see a bloody thing and it had rather angered him, causing him to be quite rude towards one or two firsty years.

Not only that, but he felt a bit more oblidged to spectate, considering he had found out only a few days a go that one of the champions was indeed his long lost twin. Hmm. Strange term it was becoming. And, because this twin was in danger once again, it was more suited and kind of him to cheer his brother on.

And he wouldn't get angry this time, even if he couldn't see again! What was it with this tournament and not being able to see anything? What was the fun in watching?

momentai 10-11-2010 04:54 PM

Bundled up in another wool coat (considering that Lafay still had his other one), Constantine sat in his seat and stared at the hedges. Hedges really weren't that much fun, but he would have to grin and bear it (minus the grin). Fletcher had made it through the first round and Masterson had figured that the least he could do was show up to the next round.

Perhaps he should have brought a book as well..

"Yeah sure.. scary stuff is what this tournament is all about blah blah blah.." She knew all this talk of these heroic tasks they were meant to go through in order to be 'heros' and she didn't like it that much. ".. why don't they just use some puzzles.. like really tough puzzles." That way she might think of going into a tournament. "Which we don't know if there are any yet.." Hey eyes went to the maze once again.

Louisa rolled her eyes at Enya. "Of course no one. What was I thinking." She murmured before her head snapped up at her friend's last question. "Why do I care?" She repeated unbelievingly. "Why do I care about participating in a public school event? Or why do I care to cheer for my own home-school in an international contest?" She said stung a little bit.

Alice had come slightly more prepared weather wise for this task than she had been for the last one. She brought her gloves and scarf, along with a beanie to try and save her ears from freezing off.

She had a feeling this was going to be like the first task, where really everyone was there to show their support without being able to see anything. Alice didn't mind though, she reached into her pocket and pulled out a book she had found in the library about Household Plants for Witches and Wizards. Flipping it open to the first page she began to read.

Rubiey hummed to herself quietly. How long were these peeps gonna be?! It was cold out here, and, really, it was quite insensitive of them to take so loooooooong.

Alright, it wasn't their fault. But Rubiey was tres bored. She shoulda bought a book with her. Or x-ray goggles so she could see through the hedges.

Looking up, she spotted a blonde Gryffindor reading a Herbology book three benches up. Grinning, Rubiey got up, and climbed towards her, then plonked herself down next to the girl.

"Sup Alice." She said brightly to her bestie. "Your lucky you came prepared." She said, eyeing the book in her hand.

Looking around them she mulled over Louisa's question. Why didn't the task's have puzzle's in them? Hmm. "Well..maybe they'll put puzzle's and scary stuff in the same task?" She asked hopefully peeking down at the younger girl. Well they could right?

Enya heard the girl mumble something, although what she wasn't sure about. She really couldn't be bothered to ask so she let it drop but it was still mulling around her mind. Rolling her eyes at the girl's second question she didn't look at the girl. "No why do you care about what i do all the time?" She asked still not looking at her. She suddenly found the corner of the field before them very interesting.

Emmaleigh let out a hearty laugh, despite of the cold. She was so glad Brittany had made it down to the task this time, because its amazing how much laughing warms you up. "YEah, definitely," Em responded. "I'm just still a little surprised I even went up to him. It meant that she was ever so slightly returning to her normal self. She used to be bold, and not afraid to speak to new people, or be active in class. But ever since the first time she entered Diagaon Alley this summer, she had found herself intimidated by magic, and its users. And stuttering, She hated that stupid stutter she had recently acquired. Returning back to the conversation, she continued, "But I guess what made me walk up to him was the fact that he just looked like he was freezing. I mean, it was a cold day to begin with, and he came out of the tunnel barefoot, shirtless, and soaking wet."

She then looked back out at the Quiddich Pich, that that had been turned into the maze. "I Just wish we could know if everyone is ok." she said aloud. It was quiet down there, too quiet. What if the things they were facing were a lot worse than the first task? Some of the champions nearly died in the first task... Em shook her head. She did not want to think about those horrid portraits that lined the common room walls.

Evan saw Iris' look and motion to join them, but really, he wasn't up to interrupting her conversation or whatever that was with that little kid. And now that a friend of hers joined her, he'd rather stay here and be out of a girl talk. Thank you. She was probably still angry at him anyway with what he had told her in Three Broomsticks... nope, better to stay here safely.

He did notice a Slytherin though, a few seats away, who looked... annoyed? Bored? Hmm... the blondie couldn't tell. But he looked like he needed a friend or something. Going there to sit with him, he greeted him with a friendly smile and "Hey."

"May I sit here?" Never mind the fact that he had just got up from his seat to move over here.

"Ew." Jeremy repeated with an amused grin. It sounded funny when she said. Probably because of her accent. Heh. Oh, and she WAS positive about things? Raising his eyebrows at her in mock doubt he regarded Maya for a moment before whispering, "You sure about that? What exactly are you positive about?" Now he was curious...teasingly curious. "Seńor?" He repeated with a rather surprised chuckle. She was 'seńoring' him now? Was he annoying her? Good.

Wow, she took the hat without protest. Without any negativity about, say, the color or just in general, the style or something. Nothing. She just took it. "Looks good." He gave the fluffy ball on top of her head a small flick. Heh. And back to Mister Zookara? Was that a bad sign? "You're welcome. And you may keep it, Mi-" ss? Mrs? Err. "-Miss? Is it Miss Saylen?" Cue slightly sly grin. He had just released her from the pain of freezing ears so she HAD to answer, right? :shifty:

Did he miss it? "Well, I just went back for Christmas for a few days. I think it's a mortal sin to miss a Zookara Christmas Celebration in our family." Jeremy gave her a small grin. But back to her question. "Yes, I do. I really do miss my parents and brother some time." His sister had decided to follow him after all so he got to see her once in a while. "Do you?" This was getting sort of personal...

Wink.

Why was Cam SO mad? Had what he'd done been THAT bad? Seriously, sometimes Cam needed to look at things from other perspectives than her own selfish one. Cos leaving her there (or attempting to) hadn't been selfish at all, had it?

He just continued to smirk a self satisfied smirrrrrrk at the redhead. He winked. “Best served cold, babe.” He replied nonchalantly. Meh.. what was he gonna do? Set some Ravenclaws on her? That wasn't a bad idea actually. *snort*

He raised a brow. “Not necessarily scared. I'd just watch your back is all.” He shrugged and looked around.

Were they going, or were they gonna chat here all day?

He chuckled at the squid comment. “I'd bet on it that you wouldn't if our dip in the lake last year is anything to go by. OR..." He pointed at her and grinned. "...Did you finally grow that Gryffindor backbone?”

Ouch! Below the belt.

Meh.

She started it.

There she said it. "Now... Is it true you have an interest in potions?"

"Miss Caddock, wipe that scowl off your face right now or I'll call your head of house and show her your disrespectful attitude. Being brave does not exempt you from being rude. Speak to me in that manner one more time and not only will YOUR house lose points, but you will attone for it in detention.

"Who are you rooting for Miss Kelly," she said trying to make conversation with the girl. Unapproachable my bum!

Turn him into a potions ingredient!? That was actually a terrifying thought; and the glaring was even scarier. “No, professor.” He replied, a small pout appearing on his face.

But it vanished the moment the woman asked about his 'interest in potions'. Like, seriously, did he look like a wannabe potions dude? Heh. Cam was so gonna pay for this.

“Not strictly speaking, professor.” He replied honestly. “I think for some reason unbeknownst to herself, Cameron is stirring up shizz here.” He shot the redhead a quick smug look. “I'm much more practical than academic. Quidditch is more my thing than Potions. But, you know, that speaks volumes for that you can hold my attention during class.”

He was aware of one of the Durmstrang girl's watching him as he continued to dig his own grave addressed Professor Lafay and he shot her a friendly smile.

"I'm not doing anything, Professor. I'm sitting, remember? What you ordered me to do. Right? Chyeah." Evil!Woman.

Scccccowwwwwwwwwlllllll.

He shot Cameron a look when she kept on at Lafay. “Perhaps the professor was interested in talking to you.” He mumbled to her. “Jus' shurrup, 'kay?”

Silly gobby moo.

Oh and there was Trixie, laughing her butt off. Oliver's mouth curled downwards. Oh ha ha.. yeah.. hilarious. Though, in all honesty he would have giggled if it had been Trixie in his place.

He looked at her, trying to communicate with his eyes that he was probably best staying where he was for now.

Anyway.. he had a good view.. of the hedgery. <_<

'Oh I loved being back home.' Brittany said happily. "I enjoyed seeing my family but i really enjoyed not being so cooolldd.' she said shivering a little bit. Not that it wasnt cold back home. It just didnt get as cold as it did at hogwarts. Where she was from she rarely seen snow. And they seen snow all the time there. *sigh*

Brittany gave her friend a comforting smile and a small pat on the back. She knew how hard it was for em to talk to new people. She was shy too but not as shy as Em. 'well that was really sweet of you to do." she said with a smile. "a good deed will come back to you." yeah maybe she was a little superstious. "

'I know what you mean. This is the wizarding world. They should hae something to show us what is going on in the inside." she said with a little scowl

"Or you know, we could just cheer for him." She said grinning. "GOOO FLETCHER!" :woot: She yelled. She had no idea if he could hear the noise from the stands, but she cheered anyways. Atleast the others knew who she was pulling for. and yeah, it made her feel a little foolish, but it was just more step to her reverting to her normal bold self.

"Its usually pretty cold back home, and We tend to get a fair amount of snow," Emmaleigh said. "But we are not this far north, so its colder here. But I really liked being home too. It was good to see my parents, But I think the thing I enjoyed most was being able to see the animals again. Its amazing how much kittens can grow in four months." Emmaleigh smiled thinking about Mystique's kittens, they were such cute little fur balls.

"I Don't know if I would actually want to see whats going on." Em admitted. "I just want to know if they are alright." She turned to Brit. "Is the second task supposed to be harder?" she asked before continuing, "Last time, a lot of people were injured really bad, and one or two fainted. SO what if its worse?" True, the ones that were injured badly had been eliminated, and, Fletcher had been one of the least injured, but if it was harder, the ones that made it might not be able to deal with the things inside the maze. "Someone could die," she thought, and just as quickly as that thought entered her head, she pushed it away. She did NOT want to see Fletchers portrait hanging in the common room.

Brielle's eyebrows rose at the mention of Match Making.......Brielle had her eyes on someone already......but it was not Fletcher, or was it?

"I zhall keep zat in mind," she smiled back coupled with a gentle tip of the head, as her eyes narrowed trying to find any signs of life in the Maze. She could not help but be slightly concerned for Mon....Noel was rather cool under pressure, but Mon had her moments.

"Oui, 'e iz a zpectacular duelling partner, I would know!" She smiled again, Brielle and Noel had been in the same Defence class back on the Continent, and had been partners quite a few times.......and their scores were tied, that's how good he was! "I am zure he will give you a duel if you ask?" The French girl smirked at this comment, there was no way Noel would say no to a pretty girl, such a gentleman he was!

Cosette's reaction to Brielle question, offered more indication than her words did, Cosette was "in to" him, and by the way Noel had been acting lately, she was sure he was in to Cosette as well. "I will not intrude, I am 'iz friend, not 'iz zizter, but I will zay, jealouzy can be a demon, make zure you are confident in yourzelf enough to deal with the throngz of girlz that throw themzelves at Noel!" Brielle approved on this one.....she was attractive, clever and spirited.

Cosette chuckled lightly, pressing the back of her hand to her mouth, stifling the chuckle. She didn't want to seem rude to the girl, but it was quite funny to see her eyes raise at the slight mention of her giving Fletcher a little nudge about the french girl. She seemed like a good gal, nice sense of fashion, that was for sure.

Nodding to her words, she also looked back at the maze. There was no indication of anyone coming out yet, let alone any sounds of explosions or anything. It was definitely unsettling. Even with her confidence in them being alright, she still had some worry. "I will be 'ere the rezt of ze term if you change your mind." As long as she doesn't get thrown out for anything, of course.

Her eyebrows did raise. So they have dueled! Listening to her, she wanted to duel him even more. Even though he was a year earlier than her, though her birthday was this month, she knew she could take him. With her extensive knowledge on spells and dark arts, she could school him. "Zat muzt 'ave been a fair duel." She smiled. She would have liked to see how that turned out. She was probably a great duelist. "We 'ave talked about it. We need to zet a date." She couldn't help but smirk. "'E doezn't know it, but I will go zhow no mercy on 'im." Even if she did like him and wanted to kiss and make up after a duel, she wouldn't bend her talent to make him feel good.

Now that made Cosette let out a melodious laugh. That was something she knew would most likely happen. She already knew Rhea was a bit irked about her and Noel's.. budding relationship. "You 'ave not to worry." She did have a jealous demon, but she had never let it rise to anything. Well, except for when it came to schoolwork. "I don't zink they would want to mezz with thiz anywayz." She could have a really non-approachable look sometimes. And she, not wanting to be vain, she was quite pretty. Putting a hand to the clasp of her moleskin and fox fur cloak, she did an involuntary hair tousle, making fun of her last sentence, a smile to her lips as she chuckled to herself.

But she noticed the boy looking at the maze, and she jerked her head in that direction. "What's there?" she squinted and still couldn't see anything...

And then he said her name, which made her look back. Bad attention span. "Mhmm." she said, nodding. That made sense.

She turned to look at the maze again, as he did. What was he looking at?! "I have no idea... traps, dangerous creatures..." Like acromantulas? Shudddddder. "Oh Merlin, I hope their being safe..."

The beaming Lockhart nodded, "That sounds awesome! We'll do that" but it sort of needed to be soon, before the ice could melt, after that they'll only slide into the lake, which didn't sound less fun that the former idea.

He eyed the maze again, "I don't know, the Champions, possibly" a shrug came to his shoulders. You know, he hoped the Champions were already in there, otherwise they'd be staring into an empty maze.

That's why you don't bring a book to the Stands, you may miss a thing or two.

He was shaking his head, "Nothing they can't handle, that's sure" he'd told Arya that same thing when he was trying to cheer her up, and it was true, Headmaster Tate wouldn't make them go through something they couldn't handle.

"They'll be all fine, you'll see" they all got out alive last time, bloody, but alive.

Carter laughed. "Kinda. I want to play quidditch." he said. Quidditch players were famous right?

Carter nodded as he took a few notes. Kita felt about the same way that he did about the tournament. "That's a really good point. The whole school unity thing. I never really thought about that." he said writing that bit down.

He chuckled. "Thanks. I've had a bit of experience doing this now." That is, if you counted interviewing the quidditch captains last year as experience.

The girl nodded, and did nothing else but that.

It can happen. Sure. It shouldn't have, but it did, and there was no point on regretting it. All she could do now was support the ones that were still fighting for their place in the Tournament, and..well, she actually liked the freedom it came with not being able to move forward.

A freedom from Zitnik. Entirely.

Then the ferret. Draco? Danika laughed, a very real and nice laugh, "I am positive the real Draco Malfoy vould have liked that" she commented, it was rather funny that Grayson decided to name him Draco, just when the real person had been turned into a ferret at least once in his lifetime.

It was rather funny.

"How do you manage to keep him so still?" because it was barely moving, and they weren't usually like that. "Do you mind?" she said, hand raised as if asking if she could pet him just a bit. Yes, Danika loved all things living, as hard as it would be to believe it, it was true.

She smiled back, and certainly hoped he didn't get into trouble with Lafay. That Professor was as close as to a Durmstrang one would be, and Detentions with her must not be a very wise thing.

For some reason she thought she knew the boy from somewhere else, other than Hogwarts, but couldn't place him.

"Miss Malfoy..." She said spotting a girl that kept looking their way. "Come sit with us. You seem... alone." She ordered. "There is space right here." She said motioning to the spot.

About the task question, "I am positive I see only vhat you see, Professor" which is nothing that could offer some sort of comfort. Her fingers were tapping her leg again. The only part that could show nervousness, the fingers.

Then there was a boy, the Head Boy, as she heard Lafay call him, and her eyes were on him as he spoke.

And Danika had to agree with him on the 'brilliant teacher' part, because the woman did struggle to teach, especially between exploding cauldrons. The 'unapproachable' part, well, she didn't really care about that.

"Miss Malik, I assume you are cheering for one of your classmates? Or did one of ours or one of the other school take your favor?" She asked. The French boy was rather handsome... and the 'glitterpuff' as the student's called him, was not horrible to look at... Her own Prefect was not bad looking, and well... she could see how the girls would want to cheer for them. Not that looks had ever mattered to her now, or when she was young. Her first husband was old and had been disfigured by a potion in his youth... but he had been her first love nevertheless.

It's sad, but it can happen." "There was no manner, Professor.

She was arguing with her about her attitude?!? Before Hecate could get angry with the girl for talking back, she looked up at her and saw her goofy smile. She couldn't help but smile. "Shut up Caddock. Just apologize for how you came off, and let's move on." She said.

He also smiled and nodded at the younger blonde girl who was conversing with the professor.

He shot Cameron a look when she kept on at Lafay. “Perhaps the professor was interested in talking to you.” He mumbled to her. “Jus' shurrup, 'kay?”

Silly gobby moo.

"I see..." She said of his disinterest in potion. "Not many people have the ability to become a potioneer.... I'm just glad you turn in your homework and pay attention in class. I am aware of your stronger skills, and am disappointed you won't be captaining this term. I will write you a recommendation, if you need." She said with a nod.

A boy! Finally! Another boy! And one that supported Fletcher, and Fletcher only, right?

"Keefer! I've been doing great, I think" if you left the Niffler things aside, and everything else. "How about you?" because he hadn't seen the boy since that time in class...er, whatever lesson it was.

"I don't know who'll win, sadly" he was shaking his head in disappointment, if only he had the sight, "But I'm hoping Fletcher does...." cue serious inquiring face, "...you DO support him, right?" serious glaring eyes looked at Keefer. He better say he was. If Treyen heard him say 'Raiden', then he'll make him go back to the Castle.

"Yes! Awesome!" Ellie beamed and held her hand up for a super-awesome high five of awesomeness. "It's gonna be so much fun!" She could picture it in her head. The frosty air whipping their faces as the slid down some awesome Hogwartsian hill.

She chuckled at his answer. That was too obviously true. Definitely the champions. "I wonder what they're doing..." she said. She realized they had basically just gone over it. But, it was all that really could be discussed about the task. If only they had SOME idea of what was in store for the champions, conversation would be much better.

The girl nodded. "I'm sure they're all alright and doing brilliantly." If only they could SEE.

Could you tell that bugged her? Missing quidditch to watch nothing? And knowing friends are in possible danger, but not knowing to what extent? It kind of made her wonder whether the task was more torturous, or waiting to know the results...

Then she turned to the newcomer. Keefer? Er... "Hi, I'm Ellie."

She smiled at her friend's Fletcher comment. So far, he has been almost on his own with that. Not that she didn't support him, either. Just second to Raiden. That wasn't a bad thing, right?

He was just a little bit late but he had a legitimate excuse - the flying rocks had to be put away and he needed to grab his bag of sour gummy worms.

There was much cheering and oohing and ahhing as he made his way through the Stands and plopped down next to Hecate Lefay.

"So, wadda I miss?" Vindictus asked and pulled out a sour gummy worm from his treat bag. "Want one?"

He held up his worm and slurped it. His lips puckered up and his eyes squinted shut in reaction to the unmistakable sour taste of the sweet.

To the unsuspecting, it looked like the Flying professor had his lips puckered up for a kiss.

As her attempt to make Danika feel better only got a simple nod, Grayson wasn't sure if she'd really said the right thing or not. It wasn't exactly something she was used to. Talking her way out of things, sure, but making people feel better was still something she was working on. The Durmstrang girl seemed like she was thinking about a lot, too, which led Grayson to simply pay attention to everything else. The conversations Professor Lafay was having, the maze, anything other than feeling awkward about making her new acquaintance think so much. But at the laugh, she grinned. That seemed so normal, and not awkward. "I guess. I mean, he might not want the reminder, but it's pretty funny," she commented. It seemed Danika must know the stories after all, which made her like the girl more.

A thoughtful look crept onto her face, though, at the next question posed. "I don't know that I do anything, really. He's just really comfortable with me. And maybe it's a bit 'cause of the cold. Like, he likes being curled up there 'cause it helps him keep warmer." Draco'd just always been like that. Kind of hyper when she was, but pretty calm otherwise. It balanced her out a lot. But she smiled again as it seemed Danika wanted to pet him. "It's okay. He likes pets, as long as you don't move too fast." Or do any of the long list of things certain people like her little brother kept doing. Or be a cat.

Her eyes widened as Professor Lafay spoke again, though, realizing the professor had noticed Draco. Probably because of her conversation with Danika. Turning her head slightly to look at the woman again, she wanted to shrug, but thought it would look bad. "Draco's only vicious when people are mean, but I'm always careful," she said, a bit hesitatingly. She didn't want it to seem like she was talking back. Not to Lafay.

But she was saved by Professor Vindictus suddenly showing up and taking the seat she'd left open between her and the Potions professor, and she bit back a giggle at how he was acting. "Hi Professor Vindictus," she said. Not wanting to be accused of being rude to professors. Like the Head Boy had been, when it came to Professor Lafay. And besides, she still sort of idolized her head of house after last term. And right now it almost seemed like he was rescuing her from the scary awkwardness that was dealing with the Potions professor's dislike of her pet. Although at least maybe it meant she wouldn't eat him, like she'd been afraid of.

She grinned, laughing with him. "Yeah, I like to cheer the Hogwarts champions on. Plus Nikolai, but that's only to embarrass him." She smiled, taking Brant's arm hostage as a heating device. Why did she decided to do this again? Oh yeah, team spirit. "Yeah, I'm kind of thinking of doing that myself."

"Naw Im not really that cold and yes you need to be more prepaired." he laughed. "Oh hot chocolate that sounds good right about now." while still looking up and down the stands to see who came out to watch. "Well I would love for Hogwarts to win, but I think there could be a safer way to have a triwizard turny. I just believe its too dangerous for students, I think it would be great for Adults."

Brant was quickly taken by surprise when Amber took hostage of his arm, he started to go red in the face. No one has done that since Miranda and they were still dating, just because she was a professonal quidditch player now didn't mean they had to break up. But he didn't want to think of her taking his arm they were great friends and that was it. Brant managed a smile at amber.

"Yeah... maybe." She nodded at Enya before the latter asked the most annoying thing. Here we come at Enya's sensitive side; caring. "I care about what you do because I happen to know you for months and become your friend." Well it was a fact no matter how Enya felt about Louisa. "How could you ask such a question?" She said eyeing her friend disgustedly.. for some reason.

Looking away at the maze again, she stopped feeding Kitty and just continued rubbing her head gently. She wasn't thinking of what Enya's just said but about something else. Something was ringing in her head for more than two days and her confession of Enya as a friend brought it alive. "I was thinking..." She started uncertainly choosing her words carefully.. This is Enya we're talking about. ".. do you know if they keep a book with the names of students who went in Hogwarts since... like ever?" She asked slowly trying so hard that it'd sound like a casual thing to ask. Pure curiousity.

"May I sit here?" Never mind the fact that he had just got up from his seat to move over here.

All he wanted was to SEEE.

Was it so much to ask? How could all these people in the stands possibly spectate when their only way of seeing was blocked by high hedges from the maze where all the cool stuff was happening. Jack was actually now in the mood to cheer on his twin, wherever he was in the maze. Meh, at least he had come down here today to witness something, anything.

It seemed like the boy had popped up out of no where, and it made Jack jump ... but only just a little. ;) "Umm .. yeah, sure." It wasn't like Jack owned the seats. Hehe. "You can sit anywhere you want, mate."

She heard him slurping and when she turned to look at him, his eyes were shut and his lips were puckered.

What. In Hades Name!

The man was married!!! He was rude and disrespectful and a child! Now he wanted to kiss her?!? She was about to smack the living lumos out of him, when she realized just how many students were around. No need to cause a scene. Not just because of the students but Sage might see... where ever he was... or Lexi and she could blow this out of proportion... or Jeremy and he might think it alright to try and kiss her... Or worse. The Headmaster. No no no... she wouldn't slap him... yet.

"No." She said decisively, without a thank you, and turned back to the maze.

"Sup Alice." She said brightly to her bestie. "Your lucky you came prepared." She said, eyeing the book in her hand.

Alice looked up at the sound of someone sitting next to her. "Oh hey Rubiey, how are you?"

Alice placed her bookmark into her book and closed it, holding the book firmly on her lap. After all it wasn't hers so she didn't want anything to happen to it. Alice saw Professor Lafay and Professor Vindictus sitting nearby, so she leaned a bit closer.

"Were you able to find any tea in the Great Hall? I couldn't find any, but I was wondering if you had better luck?" True, though, who knows how the Malfoy fellow had turned out? Perhaps he'd enjoy it. For all they knew he could be dead or close to death, anyway.

Danika smiled. "He is a clever one, then" the ferret, of course, because he didn't want to be cold, apparently, so he was smart enough not to let that happen. Perhaps they acted only on instinct but the Durmstrang girl liked to believe there was something else hidden in the minds of all creatures. They didn't react on instinct only, there had to be something else.

The girl nodded, and ventured her hand a bit closer to Draco, ever so slowly she reached the ferret's head, "Hi Draco, can you see something vehind the hedges?" she said, as she petted his head. Soft, it was.

Then she turned to Professor Lafay again as she was speaking as ferret being vicious things. Here's a guess, perhaps Lafay didn't particularly liked all living things. And that was totally fine, she didn't have to.

SPOILER!!: the Flying one

Oh, this was the Flying Instructor, was he not?

Zitnik spoke about him, if only her mind would be so kind as to remember what he said.

Danika almost laughed at the face he made after the gummy worm was eaten. If only there were a Photographer around, the Daily Prophet would love to have that on film. "Hello Professor" it was only polite to greet them. The Professors.

I couldn't find any, but I was wondering if you had better luck?" Alice was excited to work on the potion, and to be honest she felt quite strange just carrying around a tiny bag with some of Salander's hair in her pocket. If anyone were to find out they'd probably think she was stalking him or had some kind of creepy obsession with him....or both...

Rubiey smiled. "Insanely bored. Entertain me Aliceeeeeeee." She whined jokingly. Gah, staring at hedges was not something she had wanted to do all day.

She smiled conspiritorally at Alice. "Well, no, there was none in the Great Hall. Buuuuuuuut, I wrote to my Grandma - She says hi, by the way - and said that I wanted some herbal tea but they weren't serving it here, so she sent me LOADS of it! We can do it sooooon!" She laughed. Man, she was clever when she wanted to be.

A disembodied voice from within the stands is heard, making the following announcements:

"Hogwarts' champion, Raiden Kururugi is the first person to successfully exit the maze. He's followed closely by Beauxbatons' champion, Noel Laurent."

Rubiey jumped when she heard the faint sound of a voice. Raiden was first?! WOO!!! "GOOO HOGWARTS!" she cheered.

Alice laughed. "I'll do my best, although it's hard to feel inspired when all you have to look at are a bunch of hedges," said Alice with a little chuckle.

"That's great about your grandmother sending the tea!" Alice said with a big smile. "Perhaps we can give it a go this weekend? Or perhaps after the tournament?"

Just as Alice was about to ask Rubiey when the best time to try the potion out was she heard the voice of the narrator. A Hogwarts champion made it out first? Awesome!!

"WOOHOO!!! GO HOGWARTS!!" Alice called out, clapping. She was also glad to see that the boy from Beauxbaton had made it out as well. Ultimately Alice wanted a Hogwarts champion to win, but she certainly didn't want anyone else to get hurt.

Iris looked away from the little boy and 'Lani, when some voice came out of the maze.

Raiden... had gotten out of the maze first.

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
GO RAIDEN!!!"

Ahem.

Iris probably didn't need to be THAT loud. Teehee. Anyhow... What where Iris and Leilani talking about? Looking at the short girl, slightly confused, she frowned. Ooooh yeah. Jimbo's whereabouts. That's what they were talking about.

Teehee.

Noel Laurent 10-12-2010 08:20 PM

Noel was rather excited to see everyone there. In front of him. There. Right there. Close by. *silent cheer*

This task, it felt rather short to him. Perhaps it being mostly mentally challenging made it feel shorter than the first task being rather physically challenging? Maybe. No, he was sure that was the case.

He did pick up a rather loud voice as he watched the crowd. Followed closely by... Aw, he wasn't first? Second was good he supposed.

Walking into full view, the little treasure chest like box still in his hand and his wand in the other, Noel couldn't help but still be a bit cautious, even though this all was actually real. Still though, just the thought of finally finishing made his mind wander to the fact, that his eyebrows still needed fixing. Oh, oh Merlin! Everyone was going to see them! They were three times as bushy before he went into the maze like task.

They needed to be fixed. Pronto! No one look!

Ameh 10-12-2010 08:31 PM

Oh dear, the loud voice. He hadn't been expecting his exit to be announced; as he stepped out of the maze, freed from the dark hedges, he looked up at the stands, wondering just whooo that had been.

No matter. He'd made it out, and this time there was no blood or scratches or need to bother Miss Healer Moretti. There was only self-assuredness as he grinned up at the stands, eyes searching for those certain people even as he heard a few people calling his name.

Like Iris. Hiiiiiii Iris. Heehee. The young man waved at his co-prefect, who was easy enough to pick out from her shout.

...why did Noel... look funny?

Marie jumped out of her seat when she heard that Raiden was the first one out of the maze.

WAY TO GO RAIDEN!!!!!

Seeing him at the bottom of the stands she ran all the way down to him only to give him a HUGE hug when she got to him. "I knew you could do it, I knew you would be the first one out." she said not letting him out of the hug just yet.

Oh yeah, she was the first to tackle him again.

Nia was sipping a cup of hot chocolate from her flask, gloved hands wrapped round the warmth. She'd given up trying to see something she blatently couldn't. Her Quidditch mag was spread across her lap. And then she heard the announcement. Raiden was out first? Whereeeee?!

And then she spied him. A grin spread across her face, and her eyes lit up. Standing up (magazine sliding off her legs in the process), Nia proceeded to run down the stands to go find him.

"Way to goooooooooooo!" she cheered, and forgot herself as she went for a big hug. "You go, Champ!" she said, squeezing him tight.

Nixy! 10-12-2010 08:53 PM

heheheh. :3

Iris looked away from Leilani when Raiden emerged, and waved up at her. Muahaha. Had her cheering really been loud enough for him to hear it, too? Bahaha, clearly!

The fifth year waved back to her co-prefect enthusiastically, and stuck her thumbs up; mainly because she didn't want to go yelling louder than she just did. She might ruin her voice box or something.

It was weird to think that they were two thirds of the way through the Tournament... Raiden was looking like he was in a good spot for getting a place in the last round, too. Which meant HE could become THE Triwizard Champion!!

HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!
:x3:
