"Come in," she said quietly, and the door swung open once again, to let the person - or people, given that there had been at least two, different knocks - on the other side, in. |
"Hi Professor!" Sophia said, kinda nervous. "My name is Sophia, and I just wanted to meet all of my teachers this year." she said, a little bit fast, like she does when she is nervous. "Ancient Runes will be a facinating subject." she said, a little slower. |

"It's good to have you here... Sophia," she said. Picking up her wand, she conjured a new chair. In case the girl wanted to sit down. "Oh, it is. Of course, I can't say everyone takes an instant liking - or liking at all - to it, but it certainly has an awe-inspiring history." She smiled lightly. |
Maxie-luff!!!!!!!! <3333 Ok Riley reeaaaallllly needed to use the restroom, like NOW!!!!! He hadn't gone in any of the other ones in the school due to his lack of knowing where they were. He had been content with running up the seventh floor everyday to use the one in the Common Room but now he was running all the way from the Grounds and there had to be one around here somewhere. Finally rounding the corner he saw a single door near the Ancient Runes classroom he knocked on it and then waited for someone to yell that it was occupied or he would be bursting if not. He thought it was an individual loo. He continued to hop on the spot as he waited. |
Sophia sat down and said "You can call me Miss. Lombardi or Sophia. I don't care. I know some teachers prefer to address their students by their last names." She took a deep breath, and she looked around the office. It was a really nice office. "Sorry I forgot to say my last name. Force of habit, I guess." she said, smiling. |

"Come in," Di said, lifting her face a tiiny bit to look at the door - which swung open, yet again. Quote:
"No, it's okay," she said. "Is this your first year or your second, Miss Lombardi?" The girl could be no older than twelve, could she? |

Finally the door opened and Riley was about to trample whoever stood in his way (they had sure taken long enough in there) and make his way into the restroom when he came face to face with a Professor, a woman to be even more embarrassing! Merlin's. Liver. Spotted. Hands. All of the color drained from the Gryffndor's face and the sudden urge to relieve himself was long gone. He didn't know what to do. He just stood there, he felt like crying. |

Oh. To be honest, she did not know how to react, courtesy the colour the boy's face had now acquired. It could be a genuine mistake, it honestly could. Benefit of the doubt? Perhaps. "May I ask which year you are in... sir?" She asked, quietly. Yes. That was it. This had to be a first year, in disguise. Because, honestly, any fifteen or sixteen year old would be able to tell the difference between an office door, and a... well. |
Quote:
Then she asked what year he was in. Oh great, his puny size comes up again. "Um..I'm a f-fifth year, ma'am." he said with a voice so uncharacterically small for his usual comanding demeanor. "I am guessing this isn't the..." he couldn't even finish, the huge wave of self-consciousness crashed on the Gryffindor again. "I'm new here." he whispered, the paleness of his face flushed to a bright red, matching the horrid house color that didn't go at all well with his skin tone. |

Yes, all those words went together. It was no wonder, then, that Davina had no idea - none at all - how to react to such a situation. She had taught kids before. She had taught, and crybabies, troublemakers, drama kings and queens - she had tackled them all. But she had never met a student who had mistaken her office for... well, something else, before. She grabbed at his words, like a drowning person at a piece of log. "Oh. I see." New. Yes, that explained things. "Looks like you're not alone, in that case. I'm new too, Mr. -" Mr. Please-don't-mistake-my-office-for-a-bathroom-again? Um. |

"M-My name is Sinclair, Riley Sinclair. A Gryffindor." he said his name and then instantly fell silent again, not very lion like. She seemed nice enough, but he was not able to tell her true personality at the moment. Sheer panic and confusion covered her facial features and made it kind of difficult to get a kindness reading. Well at least she hadn't clobbered him yet...did that count as a plus? |

He needed to... go, right? At any rate, Davina was sure her wording sounded appropriate enough. |
Cue stalking! Rhea sucked at Runes! She absolutely sucked at it and so she felt it appropriate to find the runes professor and give her a heads up on her situation, so she didn't think that she like had the brain of a troll or something when she went to class. Why did she choose Runes again? Meh, for the life of her she would never know, she just did because she never gave up, which is why she needed to see the professor She knocked hesitantly, if the professor was indeed busy maybe she just wouldn't hear the knock and that would be cue enough for Rhea to come back at a different time. |

Yes, a name would be nice. |

She paused. "Perhaps you have questions about the subject?" He was free to leave, otherwise. Or pursue a conversation, if he wanted. At any rate, Davina had nothing much to do today. |

A noodle . . . plastic decor one . . . bounced on the floor just like a real one. Almost like a snake, it glided across the floor and spun around just a bit . . . as though maybe showing off its own abilities. Twirl here and a twirl there, it danced and spun for several moments, before skidding to a halt on Professor Markovic's desk. It's end popped off and a note slide out of it before its end popped right back on again and it resumed a spiral shape on the desk. Unfolding itself, it read: Quote:

cookie lady XD Kurumi approached the door feeling a bit nervous about coming to the professor's office just to ask for a cookie recipe. Maybe she should have thought of a rune related question? Seeing as she knew very little about runes, except for the things covered in class and what she had read in her textbook, she was having a hard time coming up with anything more than "what do all the sweets from class have to do with runes?" Perhaps there was a rune that represented sweet things? A cookie rune perhaps? Still trying to think of something more to ask than "can I please have your cookie recipe?", Kurumi reached out and knocked on the door gently two times. |
LAAAATE. Sorry, guys. >_< Quote:
Though effort is, of course, more important. Every time. Quote:

Only to hear a knock at the door. Sliding the note and noodle, both, into a drawer, she looked up. That must be another student. "Please do come in," Di called out. |

"G-good evening, professor. I'm Kurumi Hollingberry," Kurumi said bowing slightly - she probably didn't need to introduce herself seeing as they had had two classes together already. She still hadn't thought up a good rune question to ask along with the cookie recipe. Professor Markovic didn't seem like Dragon Lady, so maybe that was OK for them to just chit chat a little and for her to get that cookie recipe. She had even brought her cookie recipe journal with her where she had glued various recipes into its contents. "Um..." now came the real awkward part. "I was just wondering if you happened to have that cookie recipe we talked about in class?" |
Quote:
The cookie recipe? Of course. Di hadn't forgotten. She slid open a drawer, and took out a book titled The Cookie Haven by Daisy Newtington. "It's the third recipe in the book," she said, as she placed it on the desk so that the Gryffindor could pick it up. "I hope you'll enjoy testing it out, Miss Hollingberry." |
