He wiped the water off his face with his sleeve. At least he didn't drown. But he had a sore head and leg. |

For a moment he watched the boy, unimpressed. He wasn't even sure why he was bothering to help the kid that had clocked him. Still, he gave a gentle tug on Dylan's arm. "Common. Let's get you to the nurse." |
Quote:
"I can get myself to the nurse thank you. I'd rather you sent for Lexi to help me. I don't need your assistance." Yes Lexi. His sister. She would help him. She was nice. |

"Next time you want to randomly slug someone Denver, don't just think you'll be able to walk away without answering for it." His body stung with the pain of the fight, though it was dulled slightly by the adrenaline that rushed through him. "And don't fall asleep on your way to the nurse, you idiot. You likely have a concussion." |
Lili & Mary <3 For once Callie was inside. So she didn't spend ALL her time outside but most of the time yeah, she was outside. She was still spreading prettiness around, of course, according to her she was always spreading pretty around. *eye roll* Big headed much, Parker ? She stood by herself, yeah being inside was a little lonely, on what she thought to be the fourth floor corridor. She hoped it was because that meant she was above the floor that scary statue was, surely statues couldnt climb stairs surely they could fall downstairs but statues climbing stairs would just be ridiculous, but then again they were in a magical school. Which meant the statue might be able to climb stairs. EEEEP. Then it could kill her, and her prettiness would be gone for ever. What a punishment for the world ? *eyeroll* |

BAM. He walked into someone. Uh-oh. "Errr. I'm sorry." the gryffindor said quickly. ZOMG. Fear of statues buddy! "Hey, you're Callie, right?" he asked her curiously. Oh, how he would never forget that day. |
Oh, clumsy people everywhere. Which is why Rhydin stayed back in the shadows for most of it. He snickered slightly, with a smirk on his face, but didn't say anything. Fourth floor never ceased to have action for some reason or another. Which is why if he sat by one of the passageways, he got to see everything. Bonus! He adjusted his button up shirt under his sweater so he was more comfortable. The draft from a nearby window also helped to keep him cool temperature wise. Sometimes this castle was just too warm. Wonder what'll happen, he thought. Best to stay out of sight... For now. Until one of them notices him. |

She looked at the person who'd just walked into her properly and smiled. "Yeah I am. And your the guy whos scared of statues." she said with a small smirk, and then she heard a quiet snicker. A very quiet snicker, it couldn't of possible been Jayce, if that was his name because he was next to her and it was too quite to be someone standing that close to her. She looked around before spotting a person, a boy to be more presice sitting by one of the passsages. "Having fun down there ?" She yelled before standing back up, and shrugging her shoulders. |
The Gyrffindor grinned, at Callie. He was sort of glad it was her that he had mistakenly walked into and not someone he hadn't met before. Because.. well.. that was just rude. Then again, it was still sorta rude to walk into someone you already knew.. Meh. Whatever. Jayce laughed, feeling rather proud of himself for remembering her name. "I'm the one afraid of statues? How about you missy? If i remember correctly you were just as afraid as i was." The boy chuckled. "Look, i'm really sorry." he repeated. 'Cause he was sorry. It's not like he did it on purpose or anything. Jayce was rather confused as Callie began to yell at someone who was down the hall. Errrr... But then again, the guy had sorta laughed at them.. |
Esme walked towards the library, arms full of books that she needed to return before she got a fine. The stack was so high that she could barely see over the top of it. Her shoes clipped sharply on the stone floors as she walked. |
Quote:
"Have you been hexed into a stack of books?" Eben asked, knowing full well who those shoes belonged to. |
When someone bumped into her, Esme wobbled violently, trying not to fall or drop any of the books. Hearing Eben Wallace's voice, she was doubly irked. "Of course not! It's not only Ravenclaw's who study you know!" She narrowed her eyes at him over the books. He was so... irritating! She couldn't quite define why though. |
Quote:
"This is for Care of Magical Creatures, yeah?" he asked the redhead before looking down at the book once more. "Could have just come to me for help. I do have parents who do this for a living." Eben placed the book back on top of her pile. "Course you're always too pig headed to see that I'm actually an intelligent person." |
Esme just continued to glare at Eben, since he was standing in her way and the books were not getting any lighter. "What have you ever done to make me want to come and ask you for help?" She arched her eyebrow at him, anticipating a clever answer from him. "I'm pig-headed?!" She spluttered, dropping several books. "Oh do me a favour and go boil your head will you? It might shrink it a little!" She had gone beyond glaring at him now, her expression was poisonous. |

Eben back up when books went in every direction around their feet. He didn't want to have a sore toe. He sucked in his cheeks, trying to keep calm when she slighted him yet again. "You think it's easy being me?" he asked quietly, bending down to pick up some of the books. "To have the expectations of two incredibly intelligent persons for parents constantly hounding you to do the very best in every subject of academia." He sighed and looked to Esme as he picked up more of her books. "And here am I, going through Hogwarts with you constantly bashing me and calling me names all the time. Have you ever come to consider how much I'd rather be doing something else with my time?" |
Esme rolled her eyes. "All I remember is you showing off. Why would I want help from a show-off?" She shifted the books in her arms and muttered "Like I'm going to give you a chance to make me feel like an idiot." Esme listened to his complaints and rolled her eyes. "Oh please. As if you're the only one here under pressure to do well or keep your nose clean." She waved her wand and caused the books to float in a stack alongside her, her arms marked where they had been pressing on her. "And don't give me that non-sense! All I do is defend myself when you start! Otherwise I avoid you whenever I can... I can do without the hassle myself!" |
Quote:
"I didn't say I was the only one, I was just trying to get you to understand what is going through my mind all the time. Why I seem so uptight." the boy explained looking down at Esme. "I only hassle you in the first place because I like you!" Time slowed down as Eben looked to the red head, his chest heaving in frustration. And then he slowly came back to reality, he waited to see her reaction. Waited for the slap across the face and how he'd never be good enough for her. That she didn't like him back and he had just made a complete fool of himself. |
Esme was outraged. "You're so flipping arrogant, do you know that?! Just because you think you're brilliant, it doesn't mean the rest of us are dullards!" She huffed a little and the books wobbled ominously. 'Why the heck should I care if you're uptight? You're half the reason I am uptight, making detours to avoid you.' None of this was said, she just glowered at him. And then something odd happened. She blinked rapidly, trying to make sense of what was going on. Her concentration on her spell was broken and her books clattered loudly to the floor. She scrabbled to pick them up, taking her time over it, not knowing what to say. Eventually she straightened up. "There's no point in you trying to make a fool out of me Wallace, I know that you've been kissing girls all over the castle. I'm not about to become one of your floozies." She made to walk around him, since he was still standing in her way. |
Quote:
The boy noticed Esme's snarly face and continued to try and hold back a laugh but his face fell as she again spoke. Eben didn't blink when the books fell to the floor and he watched as Eesme began to pick them up once again. "First of all, I've only kissed one girl in this entire school and we are both just friends, nothing more. Second of all, I don't want you to be one of my "floozies". That's not the type of guy that I am, and I'm incredibly put off by your assumptions that I do that sort of thing." he said in a dark tone. Eben continued to watch Esme as she moved to get out of his way and continue on her mission of going to library, wondering if she dared strike him with another biting comment. |
Esme bit her tongue to stop herself from swearing at Eben. "I'm not going to lower myself to answering that." 'Dollophead!' As she walked past him she let out a little "Humph!" and shot him another nasty look. "I'm glad that you're 'put off', I don't want you anywhere near me!" Unfortunately, she caught her heel in an uneven part of the corridor floor and fell towards Eben, her books falling all over the place, thudding loudly on the floor. |
Eben was about to turn away to stalk off and find something to hit before he let his temper get the best of him. He had never met anyone who irritated him this much, but just before he turned the boy saw Esme start to fall towards him. He reached out his arms to catch Esme so that she did not hit the stone floor so harshly as her books did. A moment paused and he looked down into her eyes before smirking. "Stupid contraptions, those shoes." Eben said still gazing down at the girl in his arms. |
Esme found herself in Eben's arms when she had expected him to let her fall. She blushed deeply. "Th-thank you." She murmured quietly, trying to make her legs co-operate. Some how her knees had turned to jelly. She stood up away from him. Esme frowned a little. "You can say that, being so blinkin' tall! Without them I'm stuck looking at everyone's navel. Besides, I happen to think that they are beautiful." She cast the levitation spell over her books again, causing them to float in front of her. Esme felt odd... she hated Eben, didn't she? |
"You're welcome." Eben said in an odd voice, like he didn't know how to explain why he had helped Esme from not falling. If the roles were reversed she would have let him fall, right? "Well I am a bloke and I am so blinking tall as you've pointed out so I suppose I never had a chance to appreciate them the way that you do." the boy countered looking down at her shoes and smirking. "They are a nice color." he noted and then cleared his throat. "Right well uh, don't drop your books again, yeah?" |
Esme looked at Eben, not sure what to say. "Like I said, thanks for not letting me fall... I would have had a nasty bruise if I'd hit the floor." Esme glanced down at her shoes. "They are nice, aren't they?" She looked up at him and gave a wide, proper smile, something that was rare for her at Hogwarts. "Yes... I'll try not to drop them." She blushed a little and then shook herself; 'Am I going gooey over him? Good grief! what is happening to me?!' |
"It's no problem." Eben said, brushing the comment off. The boy felt his ears flush when Esme looked at her and he immediately started to rub at them as if he had an earache. 'Stop it, stop it, stop it!' he shouted at himself before clearing his throat again. "EsmedoyouwannagotoHogsmeadewithme?" Eben said in one breathe and then stood stock still, his heart pounding so much he could feel it in his throat. |
