She had to look down to see the table where she could just make out one last cake that she decided to squish with her gigantic hands. As she brought her hand down, and thanks to not knowing her own strength, she ended up crushing the table with a loud CRUNCH!
"O-o-o-oh d-d-d-dear," she stammered worse than piglet as she tried her best to move around without squishing anyone's toes...which was very difficult considering her boat sized shoes at the moment.
THUD! CLANK! SLPAT! KAZAAAM!
Kurumi's head now had hit the ceiling and sent one of the hanging decorations, not sure which one, crashing to the ground.
"W-w-what's going on?!" she cried as a few tears ran down her face. To those on the ground, it probably felt like a bucket of water falling from the sky.
This had to be all cookie hater's doing. It was her evil and sinister way of getting back at Kurumi for being a magical girlscout. Now...where was she...
Salander dropped by the food table, getting a bit hungry himself and thought of bringing something over for Danika as well. Just as he reached the food table one of the fancy decoration from the ceiling came crashing down right beside him.
CRASH!!!
He didnt have time to react. The decoration smashed into hundreds of sharp pieces, scattering all over the place. He stared at the broken mess that lay just beside him, belatedly thankful that his armour had kept the shards from piercing through him.
"What the?...." he looked up, wondering what had caused it. And his eyes widened in alarm.
"Kurumi?!?!"
The Slytherin lad stared at the little firstie, now grown to a height of the Great Hall
"What are you the 50 foot Woman? What happened?"

Cookies? Kurumi squinted a bit. Oh...were those tiny round button things cookies? Trying to pick up one was like trying to pick up small round beans with chopsticks. The first one she ened up crushing into cookie dust. The second one suffered the same fate. The third one she finally got in her giant hands before one of her giant tears washed it away.
Where.Was.Cookie.Hater?!
Kurumi was sure by the time she was a 5th year or so she would look back on this day and laugh. But, for now, she felt like one of those giant balloons during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade that was out of control and flying all over the city crashing into buildings and smushing things.
Was that it? Was she just like a giant balloon? Maybe if she poked herself with something sharp she would deflate? The only sharp and tough thing in the area was an old dinner roll. *sigh*
"If you pick me up i can put the fourth one in your mouth" she laughed.holding the cookie in her hand.she waited to be picked up I know this is strange but i always carry potions for when poeple are in big messe and no one will fix them.
"You did so," he countered immediately, a slight edge of a whine coming into his voice. If he couldn't win this fight the clean way, he'd let himself cute at her a bit, and see if that worked. Hehe. And he was tempting? Temptation? Hm. HMMM. "Can I help that at all? I don't know what's so tempting, therefore there's no way for me to fix it." He touched the mask. "'s not my face, as you can't see that. The temptation from that would be gone, had it ever been there at all."
That was as close as Raiden would ever get to admitting that he knew people were attracted to him because he was good-looking. And it would likely never happen again.
Make things worse? He pondered on that for a moment, wondering. What exactly would that be? How could she make the situation worse.
"I think that would be left entirely up to you, really. Surely you could do no worse than to wound me." She was an angel, after all. Angels were supposed to be, in their basest nature, good. Implying his intentions were anything less than pure was surely the worst offence that she could put forth, besides her constant thieving of his will. That one definitely didn't bother him in the slightest, though.
He stayed back enough of a distance to let her examine her wings, watching with a faint smile at her reaction. They weren't bothersome, or doing anything odd, and she really enjoyed them. Good.
He definitely wasn't expecting that, though. When she drew closer, Raiden's eyes widened ever so slightly; he'd been close to Nia before, so it hadn't surprised him immediately, but then she got closer and... kissed his face.
Dangerously close to his mouth, or at least it felt so.
And then she drew back. For a moment, he merely blinked, lips parting the tiniest bit as he looked at her, and then the barest hints of red began making themselves evident in his cheeks and ears. Thank Merlin both of them were kind of hidden, at least a little bit, because this was, to his mind, an overreaction of the highest level.
"You're welcome." It was a belated answer, a second too late to feel one hundred perfect normal, but he'd needed that second. At least his voice didn't sound all that off. She didn't seem to think it was a thing, or at least she didn't now, so... it wasn't a thing. Not a thing at all. Just... friendly. Yes. "Nah... dragon wings are much more Quidditch-style, aren't they."
Right. At eighteen years old, a little kiss like that shouldn't have messed up his brain that much. Especially a little 'thank you, you're my friend' kiss. He would just chalk it up to his not having wanted to come here. Everything was out of whack these days, this was no different.
"I'll hold you to that. You can't back out of that promise." A weak grin touched his lips. "You think the reporters won't follow around a young, pretty Quidditch player, especially when she takes the league by storm and destroys everyone else?"
She hadn't been expecting that...something...in his voice. It caught her off guard. He gone all whiney and cute. She blinked at him rapidly. Awwww. It took her a moment to get back on track. If he did it some more, she'd most likely be totally distracted from her cause. "I'm not sure," she admitted at whether he could help. "Since you're the temptation, and all." And for that to go away, it'd mean he'd have to go. And then she'd be left all a lonesome. And where was the fun in that after all this so far?
As he wondered aloud about what was tempting her, Nia mused as to whether he actually realised. Quite how good-looking he was. The cliche tall, dark and handsome. Add in his charm and well, that was just it. Temptation. Right there in front of her. It didn't matter his face was covered - it almost made it more mysterious. And of course it drew her attention to his eyes. "Not seeing can be as much of a temptation as knowing something is there," she murmured. "And it was there alright," she added quietly.
"I should hope not, since I already feel responsible enough." But she still had no idea of what she could do. Or even how serious they were both being about it. "I could try to return some of your will to you..." she offered. That way she wouldn't have to feel quite so bad if she took it again. "Otherwise I can do hugs, chats...get food or drink, generally be you personal run-around-person?" More than that, and he'd have to specify.
Pretending to admire her wings to hide her face, Nia shimmied. More fidgetting really, from nerves of what she'd done. If she'd been looking for it, she might have seen his blushes. At least, signs of them from round the mask. Alas, she was too preoccupied with her own blushing. What had she done? She really didn't want to him to know it was unusual. Or that as she'd done it, a nervous energy had spread though her. And that, a part of her had really rather liked it.
She battled away that thought. Knowing full well it wasn't right or fair on him. That was one of the reasons she felt so awkward. Hopefully she hadn't just stepped over the line. The delay in his reply felt like forever to Nia. Her dress was screwed up in her hands, while she focused on other things to make it all look totally natural.
"I guess dragon wings would be stronger and tougher." You needed that when a bludger came your way. "And more dramatic."
"I won't," Nia reitaterated. "And you're over flattering me again." Young yes. But the rest, she wasn't sure yet. She didn't imagine herself to be the right 'type' for such a famous Pro just yet. She just needed to get back out and play before she trialled for a spot over the summer.
While King Fletcher went off to dance with the librarian... Which was quite odd. Rae wandered to the food table cause, food, that's where its at! She grabbed a plate and a cup... Hopefully looking down the table she saw that in fact, there was no firewhisky... Darn. Not that she hadn't had her fair share while celebrating the win
Continuing down the line, occasionally grabbing a couple things as she went, she reached the potatoes... Rae smirked. What if Destiny was here now? She fill find them eventually, so Rae better get her share now..

Alright, so Evelyn was trying to sneak her way to the food table to see if there was anything edible there, and hopefully spot one of her friends, before sneaking her way back to Josh. However, when she got here, peaking around someone in a rather large costume, the Slytherin found that here really wasn't anything she'd want to eat.
Mostly due to the fact that she was a bit paranoid of how many people touched the food being laid out.
Sighing, Evelyn rolled her eyes and was about to go find Josh again but someone else caught her attention. Was that...Rae? Raising a brow, she smirked before shoving her threw the crowd. Yea, she didn't care. Others were in HER way.
"...Rae?" She didn't even know her friend owned a dress, much less would wear one. Even if it was a costume ball. Ohhh, then again, it was a ball. Riiiggghhhht.

Oh! It was Kurumi's knight in...shiny red and gold super hero armor? No matter, it was still Salander who had been her semi-protector since Care of Magical creatures grew eight legs and fangs.
"A-a-a-a-all I did w-w-w-was eat a..." she took a deep breath before finishing her sentence. "...caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake...!"
Now the waterworks were really flowing by the buckets and splatting against the floor soaking anything and everything. Was she going to be a giant forever?!

"I'm too afraid I'll squish you...or squeeze you to death," she half sobbed like the 12-year-old she was. She looked down at her hands. It felt like how one feels when wearing a glove that is 5 sizes too big for your hands, yet you are trying to play baseball with it nonetheless.

Hmmm really? All of him, then? His entire existence was the temptation? The young man tried to hide the smirk that was creeping onto his face, because really. Cocky confidence just wasn't his thing.
"Even tempting tonight then? Considering I'm not being me, one would think that the temptation would have been lessened." Though, by all technical standards, he was still Raiden Kururugi, which was probably why it was still there at all. Because, you know, he was such a terribly tempting person.
Apparently to Nia, at least. Hehe.
"I wonder if it would help or hurt, if I were to take off my mask." Not that he would. Not right now, or yet, at least. Maybe later. Because he was rather enjoying his anonymity for now.
Oh. Hmm. These were some good offers.
"I rather like hugs," he said in an offhand tone. "I'd forgotten until recently how much I enjoyed them."
Hint hint. Actually... would a hug be okay? It would, right? Even though she'd kissed his face... that was totally just a friend thing, and it wasn't meant to replace him getting a hug. Which he deserved. Because, you know, what she'd said. He totally deserved lots of hugs. Nia hugs were really just fantastic, especially.
"Plus it would probably hurt less were a bludger to hit a dragon wing. Feather wings might just... get explodey or something."
Couldn't have that. One bludger and she'd be grounded for the rest of the game.
"Over-flattering? I dunno about that. You're just terribly underrating yourself, maybe?" He tossed her a cheeky grin. "Maybe I see things you don't."

Her name in question... Literally. Rae spun around, which felt a bit strange because the poofy dress swirled with it and her hair stayed in the same place, held secure by the golden tiara which she could practically feel it sparkling. Looking through the golden mask upon her face she saw a viking? No, it was Evelyn pushing her way through in a vikings outfit... That suited her well. "Evelyn! Hi. I love the costume!" Where would she get something like that? Rae had no idea what to do for this ball, though she used the money she had to her advantage and some storekeeper did everything for her, not like anything Rae picked out would match anyways.
Was Evelyn getting food? Because... Rae was hungry and, she didn't want to gobble down while Evelyn sat there. That'd be weird right?

"Hmm, thanks." she smiled, looking down at her outfit. "You would not believe what I had to go through to make it." No, it did not involve raiding people's clothes or...any of the sort. Pffft. Really...
Taking in Rae's dress, the Slytherin stared for a moment at the dark color. "You look nice." Great. Wonderful. She didn't look like Rae! Or the Rae that she knew. "Or no, better then just nice..." Could one tell that Evelyn wasn't good with compliments?
"Who are you here with?" Better be someone or else it was going to turn even more awkward! Just like...like that girl there. Woah, what happened to HER? Talk about getting into costume. Was she a giant?

Rae's eyes widened, which kind of hurt her face, she now wondered what that woman did to make this thing stay on her face.. "You MADE it? I.... I didn't know you could.. Make clothes." Rae didn't know what sewing was but that was how she put it. "How did I not know that? We... We live together!" Seriously, Rae knew she stashed books, no matter how well she tried to hide that. Rae also knew that Evelyn rarely ate. Yes she had picked up a lot of what Evelyn does and doesn't do. But this, she didn't know she could... MAKE CLOTHES.
Rae smiled at the compliment, she knew what her friend was saying. As she hadn't smiled enough tonight. "Uh..." Pausing at the question at hand, she wasn't sure how this could go over.. Maybe Evelyn wouldn't even care, at least that was the hope. "I'm here with Fletcher. He.... Got me this crown thingy." Yes, he was totally perfect tonight, and the only thing that could put a damper on it were her thoughts of the other boy that she had recently received her first letter from. Fletcher seemed to notice that too, therefore creating the wedge between them.

Just because she didn't speak the muggle language didn't mean she wasn't interested. "Fine." she scoffed before holding the magnifying glass up to her eye again. "I'll find stuff about him on my own."
Or maybe she'd ask Noel..if she ever found him that is.
"Yes really! Rae was talking about it. She says we are going to surf in the lake." A much better and safer plan than a waterslide on the moving staircase, that's for sure. An eyebrow raised as he mentioned that he had a surfboard. SWEET! Now they didn't have to go and find out what the thing was; they could just steal and duplicate his. She had no idea he was lying about having one. "How big is it exactly?" Would it even fit in the lake!?
Would she even be able to carry it!? Sweet Merlin, maybe surfing was not a good idea. She'd have to talk to Rae, but she was over there with swishy-haired Fletcher.
Destiny didn't think Carter would have really answered that question. It was quite obvious he was dateless, which was why he was over there indulging in food. Only dateless people did that..alone. "Nope. Me either. I tried to dress Sly up, but when I went to put him in his bumblebee costume, he hissed and ran off."
Booooo!
Carter chuckled lightly. "If you're really interested there are some books on him." he said. "And some movies you can watch on the tv mugglebox." he explained. Yeah... it was amazing how much you forget about someone in a year. "He liked magnifying glasses too. And he said 'Elementary my dear' a lot."
Ehh... hopefully Destiny wouldn't pick that up. That might be a bit weird.
"Oh.. they're just like... this big." he said holding his hand high and standing on his tippy toes. "That was 10 feet." he said clarifying. You know, in case that height example wasn't enough.
"Oh... I can imagine he wouldn't like that." he said. "Maybe some more chocolate will make up for that." he suggested. He almost suggested they did a rain chocolate dance, but decided against it. It wouldn't be the same without Marie. Speaking of Marie... "So... I hope you don't mind me asking... but how's everyone doing? I haven't really talked with any of you girls since the summer." He also hadn't kissed any of them since then either, but that part wasn't worth mentioning.

"Hey." Carter said with a smile to the girl he met at the Three Broomsticks. "Oh yeah?" he asked. "What color?" he asked. He was about to ask what kind when he realized he probably wouldn't know the difference.
"Wow. Thanks." he said when she said that she had a gift for him. Receiving gifts was always fun.

"'Scuse me sorry I gotta borrow this." the lad rattled off, yanking the tablecloth sharply. Miraculously the dinnerware stayed in place, except for those tiny vials toppling to their side.
"Sorry 'bout that" he blurted out, only then regarding who occupied the table. "Grayson!" the Slytherin lad uttered in surprise. "Nice costume." he added quickly as he saw her attire, then shifted his eyes between her and the vials on the bare table . No he's not making the connection, but he grabs her hand anyway, dragging her towards the Food Table "Grayson we need help, Kurumi there--" he pointed to the giant girl creating a small flood by the Food tables with her tears "-- she's uh... a giant. No not a real Giant but she just started growing!" he exclaimed staring up at the little giant girl. "Do you know any reducing charm that can work on her?" In his head, Grayson has to know the answer, because she's a 'Claw, and 'Claws know everything right?
Grayson, in her idle boredom and trying to avoid feeling abandoned, hadn't even paid attention to the noises coming from behind her at the food tables. Which was probably a bad idea, but she was quickly becoming disappointed in this ball. At least the last one had been fun, and surreal, and all those things. This one was just her feeling ignored. demarcus hadn't even shown up to almost run into her, or circle around her like a crazy person like last term. It was almost enough to get her to turn around and go back to Ravenclaw tower, but before she could manage to get herself to extricate herself from her position in her chair, the tablecloth was being ripped off her table. Grabbing for the vials before they toppled, not really knowing what could happen to the table if they broke and the potion inside spilled, even though she was fairly certain in her abilities, she found herself looking up as she heard her name. And a giggle burst free. "Thank you. I should say the same to you, but it's kind of off if you wanted to be doing magic tricks," she said. At least he hadn't toppled her plate and cup, even if the vials had almost been goners.
But then he'd grabbed her hand and started dragging her back toward the table, babbling about . . . "Kurumi?," she said, a little breathless, green eyes flickering to the giant girl at the tables. Merlin, the little Gryffie was going to think she had it in for her. Although this time had been a complete accident, honestly. She ignored Sal's question about reducing charms, staying quiet until they got over to the scene. At which point she craned her neck to look up at the girl, trying to avoid getting drowned by the giant tears as she spoke. Hoping Kurumi could hear her, and gripping the tiny glass vials tightly. "How many did you eat?" She'd have to try and figure out how much of her other potion would be needed, since otherwise they, well, wouldn't have a giant crying Gryffindor. They'd have a miniature one, and if all her cakes had been eaten, they'd need help.

Sniffling, and probably causing a small vaccum as she did, Kurumi took the tablecloth and started drying her tears with it. It was a good thing that Fee had used waterproof mascara on her eyelashes. The tablecloth now utterly soaked, the violet eyed girl swallowed hard and then looked down at her little red and gold armored savior.
"Salander...am I going to be a g-g-giant forever?" she frowned as she shifted her body position a bit so she was now resting on her knees like a good little Japanese girl. Her steady stream of tears seemed to have ceased, for the moment, so at least now she didn't have to worry about flooding the place. She looked up and saw an indent in the ceiling from where she had been pressed up against while she had been standing. Oooooh...that was not good. Maybe no one would notice?

Kurumi now looked down at the other girl and sniffled a few more times. No sense in using the damp tablecloth anymore. "I had one..." she admitting trying not to turn the waterworks back on. "And then I had another one because I thought that maybe it would fix me....so...two..." Was that bad?

Since it seemed her not answering Salander meant quietness on his part, except for them both talking to Giant!Kurumi, Grayson decided she was going to simply just focus on the scared Gryffie. Although she had to restrain herself from a sigh at the answer to her question. Two of the cakes. That meant quite a bit of the growth stuff, and also meant she was going to have to be careful. At least, careful with figuring out how to counteract it without making Giant!Kurumi into Tiny!Kurumi. But she shook her head as an answer. "Not bad," she tried reassuring the Gryffie, before she found herself being a bit more honest. "Not really good, but not bad." At least she thought it was fixable. The fact it seemed hardly anyone had really noticed a giant student hadn't slipped by her, though. There was a definite time limit to fixing this.
So she glanced at her hand, the one clutching the vials. She definitely wouldn't need both of them, but it remained to decide if they'd need a whole vial or just some. Erring on the side of caution, for now, she slipped one of the vials back into her magicked pocket before sort of letting the upset giant Gryffie see the other one. "Um, I'm thinking half of this might work," she said hesitantly. If they could figure out how to get Kurumi to drink it without shattering the tiny vial. It was tiny to her, so it was definitely going to be miniscule to the other girl. Either way, she figured the worst case scenario Kurumi would need to drink the rest of the contents before getting back to normal. "If there's a way you can drink it without squishing the vial," she added. Her mind couldn't concentrate on two things right now, so she hoped someone else could answer that one. At least she was trying to reverse the first prank. Even if technically that was happening with the use of a second.

Using her pinky finger, because it was the smallest, she patted the Slytherin boy on the head as gently as she could manage. "T-t-thank," she said still not sure if she really believed it or not.
BUT THEN! The nice Ravenclaw girl offered her something that could help...if she just managed to not squish it. Something that was clearly much more easier said than done taking the now crumbled into dust cookies from before. "I-I-I don't think I can grab it with my hands," she said looking down at them. Stupid oversized baseball glove like hands. "M-M-May if you ride on my palm and then I lift you up towards my mouth...then you could pour it directly into my mouth?" she suggested rather shyly. That way there was no way that she could destroy the vile and there was a greater chance of the poor girl not getting squished.

"Even tempting tonight," she answered. Moreso, perhaps. He was still Raiden underneath, afterall. Unless she was attracted to his character of course. But that was based on him, so really, it was just a full circle of temptation. Yes.
Hmm. Would it help or hurt? She wasn't sure. On the one hand then she'd see his face and features. That'd be nice. But then, a masked man was rather...alluring in its way. The mystery. The unknown. It appealled to her own dark side. Hehe. "I'm not sure it matters," Nia answered. "There's advantages to both. For me, I mean." She rubbed her lips together. "But I know that mask won't be coming off in a hurry. And it doesn't cover your eyes anyway."
She smiled. Nia could do hugs for Raiden. Yes she could. Because it wasn't right you could forget how good a hug could be. But, after she what she'd just done? She nibbled on the inside of her lip for a moment. He hadn't made a thing of it, so there was no reason why she should either, right? And if he requested hugs, then who was she to say no?
"How can you not realise you enjoy them?" Nia asked, her hands dropping the fabric of her skirt. Admittedly, Nia wasn't a generally huggy type person, only reserving them for the more special people in her life. Close friends and the like. Raiden definitely fitted in the that category, and he gave good hugs back too. She opened her arms to accept him into an embrace, noticing that her heart beat had sped up somewhat. She'd kissed him to say thanks. That was all. No need to worry or be nervous or feel guilty. Nuh-uh.
She winced at the thought of feather wings being destroyed by a bludger. She'd be a gonna in seconds, spiralling towards the ground. Owwwy. And then no more gametime. "How about...I stick with the broom?" Far easier.
She rolled her eyes. Of course he was over flattering her. She knew who she was, and what she was about. And that cheeky grin confirmed it, right? "Such as what? Tell me."

Ehh... hopefully Destiny wouldn't pick that up.
Yeah. After hearing Carter mention books about this Sherlock dude, Destiny was uninterested in him. She was not going to read about him, no thank you. She did enough reading in school, she was not going to do it in her free time. She had better things to do than read. Oh! But the muggle box! "I have a muggle box!" she said, forgetting that he already knew this information, but she was allowed to forget, she was excited. Removing the magnifying glass from her eye she stared at it before holding it high above her head, "Elementary my dear!"
She was soooo going to say from now on.
Following his hand when he told her how big the surfboard were, Destiny's eyes widened when he mentioned they were ten feet tall. "How heavy are they?" Because she didn't want to sink while 'surfing' on one.
Obviously. Destiny would have told Carter that HE should have tried to put that stupid bumblebee costume on her cat. She would have enjoyed watching the cat scratch and bite him, but she didn't think that he would laugh. Not like she was doing..on the inside of course! Besides, he was offering chocolate and she wouldn't be MEAN and decline. "Just give me the whole bowl." she wiggled her fingers in the direction of the bowl while she waited for him to hand it over. Probably not a good idea to eat it..all. But having THAT conversation with Carter..she was going to eat it all..and then some.
A smirk formed and glancing around the Hall, she found Marie dancing with Jimmy. Sure, she wasn't too fond of Jimmy..not after he violated her, but, hehe. "Well, you tell me!" she said, pointing over to the dance floor.
*Shiver!*
Sometimes..she still wished she believed in cooties. They were dancing way to close for her liking.

Wooot. She wanted food too. That made Finlay's stomach feel much better, because at least it wasn't going to rumble and make him look like a prat. "We can sit down yes." He nodded, taking her hand, and leading her over to the food table. Mmmm. Look at all that yummy food. Finn glanced at her Lexi, making sure that she was okay. He was a little worried by what she had been saying before. Mann. He really was worrying too much at the moment. It was not like him at all. Mhmm....just get distracted by the food Finny boy.

Lexi gave Finn's hand a gentle squeeze and a small smile to go along with it as he led them to the food table. She was really hungry but wasn't sure where to start. She grabbed a butterbeer and a plate so she could pile some food on, but she was so distracted that she just stood there.
Well. If it was even bad when he was being not-Raiden, then...
"You're just in terrible trouble then, aren't you. I can't do anything about your temptations, even if you were to demand so." Tracing his thumb along the edge of the mask, he stopped under his left eye and tapped it. "I could make it hide my eyes, if I really wanted to. But it might make it a little difficult to see..."
She seemed to be hesitant about hugging him, or at least she looked as if she'd had to consider it before she held her arms out. Which... made him wonder if she felt as internally awkward as he did. But really, there was no reason to feel that way, right? Because surely she hadn't meant anything by it... They were friends. Friends.
He took a step closer and gave her a squeeeeze, careful to avoid displacing her fluttery wings.
"A professor took points from me when I was younger," he said, not sounding at all affected by it. "And for a while, hugs from certain people messed me up. So it was easier to avoid them."
He'd had valid reason for hugging Kazimeriz, though. He had, after all, just emerged from the flooded dungeons with Raiden's cat. Anyone would be happy to the point of hugs by that. Especially a young, panicky teenage boy.
"Brooms are most likely the safest form of flying you'll have for Quidditch, I guess. Wings have to have a decent span to help you get off the ground, you wouldn't be able to get near each other without knocking people down I suspect."
Why did they feel a little more awkward than he could ever remember feeling around her? There was no reason for this. He was overthinking things. Distractions needed to happen.
Tell her? He automatically latched onto the unwitting command and might've pouted the slightest bit. Demanding, Nia. Demanding. She was lucky he had enough will left to resist, though if she were to pout or wibble or bat her eyelashes at him, he was pretty sure he'd be doomed.
"Are you sure you want to hear them? You'll just discount me as biased, I think."
"'Fraid so." She looked at him, a look of sadness on her face. Just how was a girl to cope? Hmm? She almost went to flutter her eyelids at him, to see if he would bend it to her own way again...but apparently even her demanding wasn't going to stop him being a temptation. But...maybe that wasn't such a bad thing.
She watched his thumb moving round his mask. Was he still not convinced that his mask would stay? It had lasted this long...he need not worry. Or was it to draw her attention to his eyes again? Those eyes. They had never really drawn her in so much before. But with them being her only guide to expression... She found herself staring into them. She probably shouldn't do that. Blinking, she shook her head. "That's just silly. Because I want to dance sometime tonight. And you're going to lead. And it would be disastrous if you couldn't see." Nodnod. Okay, they'd already discussed that she was going to do the peripheral vision bit - she didn't wanna spot for both of them completely on her own. It was just asking for her to trip herself up.
It was a friendly kiss, Nia finally convinced herself as Raiden stepped towards her for the hug. It'd only been on the cheek. And it was no different to if Raiden had kissed her on the hand in greeting at the beginning of the night. That was it. And her heart pounding was... She wasn't sure. Something. It didn't matter. Because she rested her head on his shoulder, took a deep breath and then returned his squeeeeze.
"Who?" Nia asked, turning her head slightly so she could see a bit of his face. She tried to guess who might have done it, but she drew a blank. "They weren't worth hugging if they just messed you up..." she stated, shaking her head against his shoulder for emphasis. She wished she'd met him before last year. Though...much younger and he wouldn't have ever got a hug until it was probably too late. It hadn't been her thing at all. He might have found her more....off putting back then.
"Safe?" Nia laughed. Since when was a game of Quidditch safe? Especially a pro one. Thank goodness she didn't play Seeker. One disastrous term was enough, thank you very much. "I agree. An awesome concept, but completely rubbish at the same time. I love the idea of wings and being able to just fly off into the distance though." Wind in her hair. The thrill. The speed. It was where she belonged.
Sigh.
Was she sure? Now that was a good question. Because he undoubtedly would be biased. Though after she'd called him a dollop head and a clot pole earlier, who knew what it might have in mind? She nodded slowly, butterflies appearing in her stomach. "Tell me. And I'll decide on quite how biased you really are..."

Grayson, hiding a grin at Salander getting patted on the head like a little kid, took a second to realize she'd been replied to. She'd looked back down to hide the grin, and not having to crane her neck had distracted her a bit. Not to mention had felt good, but now back to trying to help Giant!Kurumi. Before she felt way too guilty to do anything, which hadn't been the intent behind her prank. She hadn't expected the little Gryffie to find them, though, nor to decide to eat two. It was all just too stressful, and made her think maybe she shouldn't have gotten so into her costume and everything. She could do pranks other ways, without feeling like she was hurting anyone. Maybe it was the crying that had gotten to her, even though the giant girl had stopped.
"Mmm, probably not," she said, looking back up. Giant hand, tiny vial didn't really mix. But then she had to bite her lip to keep from giggling at the next suggestion. That sounded oddly like fun. "Maybe. That's probably the easiest," she said, once she felt like she could control herself. "We'd have to figure out how I'd get down before you shrunk, though. Like, maybe you try to put me back down before the potion starts working?" She knew her potion rather well, but there'd still only be a moment before it went into effect. And she didn't want to either end up squishing Kurumi or falling from way up there as the other girl grew smaller. Odds were Salander wouldn't find a painting to charm to catch her this time around, and she really didn't want to slam into the floor.
