As with everyone else in that class, Salander was distracted by the outrageous student professing her undying love for the Headmaster. Was this girl for real? he wondered as she was duly sent away. Refocusing on the task at hand, Salander gripped his arm sleeve for his wand.... ..... and couldnt find it there. Panic gripped the lad as he hastily raised his sleeve, the unsecured holster fell off to the floor almost immediately. Oh no! Where is it?!?!?! he panicked as he searched his robes and his jacket. He stood up to feel his backpockets.... and felt his wand sticking out. He breathed a sigh of relief as he sat himself back down. There was a reason why he got the habit of sticking his wand in his backpocket-- he will NEVER forget to wear his pants. Wand securely in his hand (and holster hastily stashed in his robes), he raised his hand to volunteer. |
Lexi raised her hand as well, she was pretty good at Protego thanks to Professor Lawson. Yep. She sure was. |

He turned to address the rest of the class. "Please watch their form and stance. It's something you'll want to practice on your own, although we will not have time for that today." |
Adeline starred at them. Magic! She liked Hogwarts so far! Even though she was a pureblood, she still loved magic as much as a muggle born does. |

Lyra knew the spell, but decided to leave the demonstrating to the older students. She watched as the two girls stood up to demonstrate. |
Sophia watched the two girls up at the front. She was ready to see the magic. More importantly, she was ready to use the magic. She couldn't wait. |
Well. James did not mind watching pretty girls hexing each other. He grinned and leaned back in his chair. |
Gah! Esme stood up and walked to the front of the room, noting one boy in particular as she passed him (Tegz), there was just something in his body language she didn't like. When the other girl, whose name Esme had customarily forgotten, said that she was ready, Esme said, clearly "Rictusempra!" sending a well aimed tickling charm at her opponent. |
Liz sat forward in her seat, quill in hand. How exciting! She hoped that students were allowed to practice spells like these outside of class. This particular one sounded essential to know, and she would need practice. And notes. Many, many notes. |
Alice was enjoying this class more than she thought she would. Partly, was probably due to the Gryffindor girl who declared her affection for Headmaster Tate. What a fool. Alice thought, while watching people volunteer. Although she didn't like it when she picked on a Slytherin girl to put her gum on. Now, that was not cool. Why didn't she do it on someone in her house or...a Hufflepuff. It just wasn't right, that girl was now in Alice's People to be Mean list. And then what did the girl do...ha! It was just hillarious. It all just benefited the Slytherins at the end. Less points for Gryffindor, hehe. Remembering she was still in class, Alice sat up straight in her chair and watched as the two girls who had volunteered stand up. Hmm, how fun watching people hex each other. Hopefully they used a darn good hex. |
Hermione watched as the two girls prepared to cast their spells. This would surely be interesting she thought. |
Jayce sat up a bit in his chair as everyone seemed to be preparing to watch two girls hex eachother. Ah, they really were back at Hogwarts. Hexing people? Couldn't get any better than that. With a smirk on his face, he watched the two girls, awaiting the action that would surely follow. |
Eben was observing the class because as this was his first class ever in his entire life, it was interesting to see things proceed. However, when Esme raised her hand, the boy glared at her and then the teacher surprised that anyone would trust her. And now she was hexing people. Even if it was in a classroom environment, he disapproved of the girl doing any sort of magic. |

Lexi watched the two girls closely. Hmmm surely the older girl should have been faster, but then again she wasn' supposed to be tryig to hex her, just to demonstrate a proper shield. She noted that neither of them had great stance, in her opinion. Meh. Oooo there was Jimmy. She turned and smiled over her shoulder at him. Teehee. |

Jimmy winked at her. This class was getting better and better. |
"Thank you," Tate dismissed the girls back to their respective seats. "As you can see, the Protego spell creates a focused shield that is useful in repelling low level hexes and charms, as well as small projectiles. It is this latter use we're going to be taking advantage of." Tate drew out his own wand. "The second spell we're going to be using is a silly sort of spell that you're unlikely to need in a duel. It is, however, very effective for our activity. The incantation is Pingo, followed by a color, and it produces colored bubbles that leave a washable dye behind where they land. For example..." He pointed his wand at the chalkboard. "Pingo red!" Small bubbles filled with red dye splattered from his wand, leaving a messy line of splotches across the chalkboard. With another wave of the wand, they were gone. "If you need to try this spell out, please point your wand at your desk and give it a whirl." |
Ooooohhhhhh colorful bubbles. Daisy pointed her wand at the desk. "Pingo Pink!"She watched as pink bubbles came out and she squeaked happily. A new form of painting. She waved her wand and said, "Scourgify." She watched as the color vanished and sighed. It was going to be a fun class. |
Hermione thought the spell looked rather interesting. She took out her wand and followed what the professor did. She pointed her wand at her desk "Pingo Green" said Hermione and to her delight little green bubbles came from her wand and hit the desk. |
well okay. "Pingo black!" Jimmy pointed his wand at his desk, being sure to push himself backwards first so it wouldn't splatter, and sure enough black inky bubbles came from his wand and splattered messily against his desk. Eh. Was there a way of doing that with more control? |

Teehee. She smiled wider as she turned back to the front to listen to the Tatertot. Quote:

"Pingo Indigo." Vilhelmiina said, pointing her wand at her desk. Yellow bubbles came out of her wand and popped on her desk, leaving coloured splotches behind. |
Bubbles? ....that was actually really cool. Though the incantation was slightly ridiculous. Hehe, gettit? Ridikulus! Okay, now her inner thought jokes were ridiculous... Taking out her wand however, glancing around at everyone else as she did so, she held the dark piece of wood in her hands for a moment before moving it to her right hand. Right. What color? "Pingo silver." she said absentmindedly, having pointed her wand towards Destiny. Teehee. |
