Corridor outside the Office of Professor Welton Just outside the doors to Professor Welton’s Office sits a nice Victorian chaise against the opposite wall. It is a family heirloom and means a lot to the professor, so do take care as to not damage it in any way. It has been charmed to repel all kinds of ink and dirt, but whilst you wait for your turn, do try to be respectful of it and those on the chaise with you. OOC: Please post here first before entering the office. Professor Welton will invite you in but posting here or quoting in the office itself. It is rude to just barge into a room, so as in normal day situations, it is customary to knock and be invited in. |
Rubiey knocked on the door of Professor Welton, and took a seat to wait for an invite to enter. She wasn't worried about meeting the Professor, as she had been about some of the others *cough*LAFAY*cough*; she had heard how nice she was. |
History of Magic? Bleh. Lori had never like learning about ... history. The subject of History in her muggle school was to blame for that. She didn't want to know about wars and rubbish, and blah. She was, however, intending to turn up to the lessons this term, and you know... study stuff. Upon her arrival at the new professors office, Lorelai came across a younger student there, and watched as she knocked at the door. It was easier to just wait with her, another knock may have made them seem impatient. |

Monique would never know why she had taken to wandering around the corridors alone. Afterall, she'd only just remembered how to get from the 'Great' Hall to the dark, cold, underwater common room. Being in part of the castle where she had no idea where she was wasn't her brightest move. It was however a good way to promote international friendships. That was the whole point of her being here, right? Oh yes, and the British boys. Perhaps the Irish ones to. Oh, and she couldn't forget the Scottish boys. She turned a corner in the never-ending maze that was this castle only to spot a lovely Victorian chaise. It was just what she needed. Smiling she headed toward the chaise and took a seat. Now where was she? She looked around for some kind of sign. She spotted a parchment near the door. 'History of Magic.' That could be useful. She could ask for some books on what has happened in previous tournaments while she was here. |
Quote:
"Madamoiselle Bernard, it is nice to see you," she smiled. Yes, they hadn't been formally introduced but Sylvie was well aware of the guests the castle now housed. "What brings you head on this fine day. I would think most students would be outside enjoying the weather." She had herself, planned on taking a stroll outside before her sudden rush of visitors arrived. |
Quote:
"Believe it or not I actually got lost." she said with a laugh. "Then I stumbled upon this lovely chaise. After that I figured I would stay. And if it's not too much trouble I'd like to borrow a book. With all the clothes I brought I didn't have room to bring my own. Plus, I find history very fascinating. Perhaps you may even have suggestions of books to read." |

Hearing the the young Beauxbaton complement her chaise, she grinned. "It is rather lovely, isn't it? I acquired it whilst I was in France. I really couldn't bare to part with it." she added with a nod and a slight petting of the chaise. It looked nearly perfect and she did hope that none of the students would damage it in anyway, or she would be rather put out over it. "I see, only room to pack the essentials. I understand that completely," she laughed as she returned to her door again. "Well, I do have an extensive collection of books in my office. You borrow some if you wish." she offered as she motioned to her office. |
Heh. Viktoriya sat herself down on the gorgeous chaise, assuming that since there were people there someone had already knocked. Oh, the teacher herself was there already. Well, that worked. She was coming round ALL the teacher's offices, except Lafay. That one would be done along with Josh. Because they were gonna give her the squished!cake. And she had to admit, she did have ulterior motives for coming to see the teachers. If she gave little cakes to all of them, it would hopefully be seen as a friendly student who liked to bake giving away freebies. If she JUST gave on to Lafay, it would look weird, and she miight get suspicious. So she'd gone to the kitchen and actually made some little cakes that looked a bit like the Lafay one. But not AS squished. they were actually quite nice, really 'Morning, Proffessor' she said cheefully, standing so as not to seem impolite. Her little cake was still on the chaise... it wouldn't stain it. It was on a PLATE. |
Sapphinelle knocked politely on the door twice. Not too hard though, she seemed to be making mistakes left and right with these Professors, and not on purpose. She decided to be herself this time. She sat down in the comfy and squishy chair. Oooooh! heh. She made a mental note to get one of these back home. She crossed her legs anxiously and bit her lip in nervousness. Sapphinelle Della was NEVER nervous. |

Viky looked up with a smile at the woman and picked up the cake from the chaise 'Oh, my friend Josh and I were baking in the kitchens earlier' she said with a smile, pointing to the cake in her hand 'And we thought we'd give some cakes to the teachers!' she said brightly 'Because we got a bit carried away and made looads, and we couldn't eat them all ourselves.' hehh. That was her cover story for the cakes. |

Bodicea went to the History of Magic classroom next. She had loved learning about Muggle history--she had no doubt she would love Wizarding History. She wanted to know about homework and what she could expect, but mostly she wanted a peek into the classrooms she would soon be going to on a regular basis. As she got closer she realized the Professor was talking to a student on a chaise before the door. Since she had heard stories about the ghost Professor Binns, she mentally paused, wondering how on earth they had gotten him to leave. She approached, smiling at both Professor and student. |

Emmaliegh walked down the first floor corridor, searching for the History of Magic professor's office. Surely she could tell her what she needed, but where was her office? She passed by a door, nope, that was defense against the dark arts. She kept going, and eventually she came across the correct door. She knocked on the door, and then sat on the little couch outside of the door. |

"Oh, good, I was hoping not." Bodicea said, relieved. She had spent her childhood eagerly hanging onto every word the bards sang, every tale her grandmother told her, and every book she had gotten on the subject was submitted to hundreds of rereads. Her mother had despaired of Bodicea ever reading stories like other children her age group. But no matter how much she loved history, she just couldn't bring herself to love writing dozens of essays on the stuff, unless it was a stunningly interesting topic. She twisted her hands together, wondering what else to say. |

Jacob made his way to the new HoM Professors office, whos name slipped his mind. As he got closer to the door, Jacob knocked once, and took a step back. Yup, he needed to apologized to the poor professor, whos name still slipped his mind. He couldn't just go crazy in her class without giving her an apology, and an explanation... Wait, what was his reasoning? Great He needed to make something up, fast! |
Quote:
"Why, hello Mister Blunt. What brings you here today?" she asked holding the door open. |
Quote:
"Well I wanted to apologize for the... uhm" he was lacking good words to explain it. "Stupidity in your class." wait he needed to warn her. "Also I would like to apologize in advance for whatever stupid thing I do next" it was true, he was more that 1% sure that he was going to do something idiotic again. And really that was a lot. one precent was just too much of a risk. Especially since, he never knew what was going on in his own mind. "Its just that, since Laineys gone. The class is sort of... quiet. And it just doesn't feel right." and thats how he dealed with it, by being stupid and loud and annoying |
Quote:
"Mister Blunt, there was no stupidity in my lesson. I actually found it rather refreshing to see the amusement you all were having in the lesson," she replied. It really took a lot for her to think of anything as stupid. "You really don't need to apologize either. We all do things that we think are rather idiotic and what not, but doing such things allows us to grow, does it not?" Yes, she was guilty of some idiotic things in her past, but it wasn't like those acts defined her now. "Lainey was my favourite professor whilst I was a student here as well, so I know what you mean." she frowned a bit. She really did understand how much her own lessons seemed to be lacking when she thought of the lessons of her old HoM professor. "Perhaps, I can make the next lesson not so quiet. Would that help?" She did want all her students to have fun. |
I didn't forget about this... SHHHH! Quote:
Wait... Woah! Lainey has taught for that long? geez Lainey is really old! Not so quiet...? Well that was a start. "Thank you, Professor." and he still couldn't remember her name. Its so weird. He'd have to ask someone when he gets back to the common room. "Thats all." He said, but before turning to leave he asked "Unless you need anything of me, professor?" like bringing refreshments to the next class. |
*giggles* Andy, I ♥ you. Quote:
Seeing Jacob's reaction to her mention of Lainey, she let out a small laugh. "Hard to believe, but I'm not as old as you students think. Lainey is something special and she was here when I was here. My favourite professor by far. Her lessons made me want to learn more about history." she added as she thought back to her student years and the craziness that was Lainey. "You are very welcome, Jacob." Calling students by their first names, she would have to get used to that for sure. "And thank you for coming by my office, I look forward to seeing you in the next lesson. Maybe I will cater the class and provide some snacks. " Perhaps food would help with the attendance. |
Rae had mulled this over in her mind and had finally come to a conclusion. Which now lead her to the door of Professor Welton's office. Yes, she did have a plan. Rae was calm as she usually was before the summer that carried on into this year. How she had managed this normal state she had no idea. Maybe it was the plan, oh yes the plot of what may come that calmed her now. But it did not clear her thoughts, which still didn't help entirely. She took another step forward to knock on the door... Then, she stepped back and went to the opposite wall to lean against. How unusually normal Rae was acting. Almost as if she were back to her old self. |

Evan had been pretty uneasy for the last few days becase of the events in the classrom 11, so he had to talk to someone about it who was not Marie. And someone with experience too, prefably. So, as Lawson was gone, he found himself in front of the new History of Magic teacher, one he felt himself the closest to. Sure no one would be like Lawson and whatnot, but Professor Sylvie seemed to be a nice woman too, and she was a lady. So, even more hesitating about confiding in her, because he wasn't sure if she was as welcoming as Lawson, he knocked on her door and stepped aside, leaning on the wall. He was too nervous to sit. Hopefully, she would have some time to comfort and advise him... if she didn't, he had no idea who to go. |

It was pretty much her worst subject. Her WORST subject. That was including Herbology and CoMC. She really failed at History - especially magical history. THere were too many toad primeministers and warlock wars and goblin interventions to remember. For her brain anyway. So. if she was planning on graduating from school, she needed to get her marks sorted. Or at least, figure out HOW she was going to pass this blasted subject. She knocked. "Professor Welton?" |

Simon had decided he'd better go and see someone because he was bored and so he had decided to just randomly pick a teacher to talk to and this one had won, he quickly knocked on the door and then he sat down and waited too be let in. |
