Quidditch Party
 

Next to the Mattress Surfing area, a banner suddenly appears amidst blue and bronze streamers:

:snitch:CONGRATULATIONS!:snitch:

The food table suddenly expands and more food appears, including a giant cake in the shape of the Quidditch Stadium.

Come help celebrate the Ravenclaw Quidditch team's victory and clinching the coveted Third Place finish in the competitive Quidditch Cup standings. Have some food, chat and even dance to music that's blaring on the WWN before skipping over for some fun in the Mattress Surfing area.

Wooohooo! Ellie walked in with Becca and set JD down. She turned towards Nia. "Speech! Speech! Speech!" Then, cake! cake! cake! She kept her arm around JD. She was beginning to wonder if he would ever let go of that snitch. "You were great." she whispered in his ear.

Nia stepped through the portrait hole at the back of the procession, and gasped as she saw the streamers. And then she saw the banner and the cake. The cake in the shape of the Quidditch stands. It was huge. And amazing. And there was music.

She stood there watching everyone pile in, letting it all the emotions sink in. And then she heard Becca. "Yes?" she asked curiously.

Being back on the floor, he sighs with relief. Being the air was nice but he preferred doing that on a broom. Being on shoulders was fun, but going upstairs like that...never ever again!

Feeling her arm around him makes him smile. He enjoyed Ellie and felt comfortable around her. Looking down at his hand that held the snitch he let it go, so it could fly around the room.

"Thank you" he murmurs after feeling the air from her breathe tickle his ear.

Jacob burst into the room...Streamers? Banner? CAKE? How Did It Get Here So Fast?!?!

So Jacob got no money from JD Autographs, but he wasn't going to give up yet. "WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!" he screamed and ran at the cake. Trying to resist slamming his face into it. "Must not eat cakes with my face.... must not eat cake with face!" jacob said with a twitch.

"Come on! Seeker Autographs ONLY Five Sickles!" Jacob screamed so that the people at the slide could hear him. comeone! he needs that money!

Jacob looked around at Nia. Speach? "SPEECH!!!!"

Becca scrunched up her nose at Nia and repeated what everyone else was saying. "Speech, oh great Captain! Then the party will commence."

Yep. Becca quite enjoyed putting the pressure on the sixth year.

"And we can eat cake," she added. Because that was important, right?

Nia blinked. Since she'd got to the Common Room, it'd suddenly got a bit overwhelming. The whole winning as a Captain thing. It was different somehow.

Speech? Okay. It now dawned on her everyone was looking her way expectantly. She'd quite happily let JD have the attention as seeker, and now everyone wanted her to give a speech. Well, she was Captain. What to say?

She cleared her throat. "Well, I'm not gonna keep you from that rather tasty looking cake..." she started. "But I wanna say a massive CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who played and THANK YOU to everyone who supported the team. You were all totally awesome. It's been a fab year as Captain." She paused. "Massive cheers for the Claws, and let us celebrate in the way only Ravenclaw can!" She with that she cheered loudly, and grinned. Would that satisfy as a speech? Yes? Good.

Ellie smiled as she watched the little gold snitch fly about the common room.

She looked back at JD, "Don't thank me, it was all you out there." Him and all his seeker awesomeness. Now, speech time. Then CAKE!

Ellie listened to Nia's speech and cheered afterwards, "Yeah! Woohoo!" And she punched the air. Now was there going to be some cake cutting ceremony or something?

Jacob shut up and listened intently as Nia started her speech. He resisted the temptation to yell in the middle of it... as Nia finished, Jacob Screamed "YEEEAAAHHH!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" and then started clapping obnoxiously at nias speech. Now Jacob started to feel like he couldn't stop being loud. OH NO! Jacob Can't be quiet anymore! Loudness has been embeded in his voice... OH WELL

Ellie proudly wore the Ravenclaw colours as she made her way to the victory celebration. Her stomach was rumbling, she had been too excited and nervous to have much to eat. "Way to go!" she said to some of the players as she grabbed a butterbeer.

Nia grinned. By the sounds of things, her speech had gone down well. Phew. Now to enjoy the celebration.

And Becca spoke. Nia chuckled. Did the seventh year actually give anyone else time to speak? That girl was quick moving. Especially on the pitch. Shame she was graduating this year. She was the only one in the team moving on. Oooo. Nia's eyes widened, a thought dawning on her. She didn't get time to react though, as Becca had given her the first slice of cake. The Ravvie stand too. Yay! The Captain grinned.

"Thanks Becca," she said with a knowing wink. Oh yes, it wouldn't be forgotten that thought. "Looks yummeh. And I'm starving. Breakfast feels yonks ago."

Ellie took the cake from Becca. "Thanks!" she said.

Yum! Cake!

"Thanks" Jacob said... the first quiet thing since the match. Jacob took a slice of cake. he was so hungry, that game wiped him out. Jacob quickly gobbled up the slice of cake in two bites. He Needed More! Jacob took a second slice of the beautiful cake (It was so nice, but he was so hungry!) Jacob took the plate and ran to the matress surfing area. He wanted to take another go at that!

I REALLY wanted to say yonks like you did.
 

Wohoooooo!!!!!Ravenclaw's won....That wasn't any extra-ordinary thing,because Ravenclaw really is the best.....

Namitha walked to the members of the quidditch and said 'Hi,I'm Namitha,'she first introduced herself.'And congratulations!!!!!!!!You all were sooooooo good at the match,'she said excitedly

Following the snitch with his eyes, he smiles. He knew he'd keep that little thing for the rest of his life. It was special to him, the first quidditch game that he had finally won for his team.

Remembering Vindictus, he needed to remember to thank him. He had been stern with him, but that's exactly what he had needed.

Taking the piece of cake that was offered to him, he grins at his teammates and finds a seat on one of the couches. Everything was just right, him and Ellie developing a closer relationship.

Now if only he could find Anya and settle that issue.

Ah, how cool you did!
 

Nia bit into her cake, savouring the taste of the BLUE icing. Yum. The one thing about missing breakfast was that celebratory cake tasted EVEN better. And this one, well...was just lush at this moment in time. And there was plenty of it, so she could have another piece if she wanted. Ooor, she could nibble on the other snacks laid out.

"Totally. And I want to fill up on celebratory cake big time." She grinned, before watching Becca go offer cake to others.

Aha, perfect opportunity to nip off to the dorms unnoticed. At super fast lightning speed. Cos it'd be odd if the Captain disappeared too long at the Quidditch Celebration Party. And if you'd looked closely, there was something Nia was hiding when she returned. The corners of it just caught the fabric of her Quidditch robes, and showed. Ahem. Nothing unusual here. She just needed to catch the others...

"Hi Namitha," Nia said with a grin, welcoming the slight distraction. "Thanks!" she answered with a blush. It meant a LOT to her as Captain to hear that. Her strategies. Her training sessions, pushing everyone to give their all, even in awful weather. It'd worked. Okay, she'd had to wait til the consolation game for her first win as Captain, but they'd totally pushed the Slythies too. On the scoring front, the Claws had been awesome.

"Did you have a good seat to watch and cheer and everything?" she asked, taking another bite of the scrummy cake.

As she spoke, she tried to catch JD's attention. He knew about the thing, right?

Delilah walked in the party and smiled. She grabbed a butterbeer and some food. "Good job!" She shouted to some of the team.

Jacob stumbled back over to the rest of the team, his face was still covered with the cake. He quickly wiped the icing from his eyes, and looked around at everyone. "That Cake Is Evil!!!" he yelled pointing at the Qudditch Stadium shaped Pastry. He would advice that no one ate it. But it was a celebration, can't kill everyones fun. He just licked his lips from the cake. It is a good cake. Evil! but delicious. Jacob shook his head. Why was it so good? He needed more... must resist cake temptation!

Out of the corner of her eye, Becca caught Nia coming down the stairs from the dorms. When did she even leave...? Hm. Before she thought too much of it, Jacob's presence stole her attention. "Hey bud? You've got a little something right here," she teased with a very straight face, gesturing to her nose as an example. And then she grinned. "I beg to differ. I think it's spectacular cake." She backed up this comment by shoving another forkful in her mouth.

He was such a funny kid.

Watching Nia as she came down the stairs, and tried to catch his eye, he nods ever so slightly. Smiling at her he winks.

Rising from the couch, he walks over to her.

Looking up as Jacob stumbled over to them, he giggles as he yells about the cake being evil. "Only for you, Jacob. Only for you."
