She couldn't help but wonder if she knew about Carter and Marie, because she had recalled herself being a little like that then too. She decided to let it go for now. "Do you have more pictures?" Ella asked her, taking out her own camera from her bag. She'd show her the pictures later. Mina was so lucky she got to go to France, even though she didn't want to. It seemed beautiful by the pictures she already sent her.
Her eyes widened the slightest bit hearing the name of the other in the compartment. Evan was the guy who Marie had been dating, who left her.. who may be mad at her because she liked Carter now.. All those things. "You're Evan?" she blurted before she could take it back. Realizing her last statement, she added, "I mean, I've heard of you before." Stay out of it, Ella.. he's never done anything to you. | Quote:

Mina shook her head as she heard Evan speak. She didn't want him to leave just because her bestie was there. It was his compartment first. "No, Evan. You shouldn't have to leave. This was your compartment to begin with. I mean if you'd like some privacy, Ella and I could leave," she offered. She did want to talk to her friend but she didn't want to bother Evan with her stories of her summer.
Looking to Ella, she gave her a small smile and nodded. "Yes, like tons of pictures but I left them in my compartment in the front. I'll have to show you them later," she replied as she looked back to Evan. Letting what he told her sink in, she thought. She really didn't know all that many Slytherins that were nice to her and Evan seemed very nice. She had issues with most Slytherins so far, but maybe she shouldn't let a whole house suffer for a feel bad seeds, namely some girls. Kiri, Kevin, and Evan seemed to be the kind of Slytherins her father told her about and it made sense as her father was one of the kindest men she knew and he was a Slytherin.
Her thoughts were broken as she heard what Ella said. Did she know who Evan was? Looking between the two of them, she tilted her head. She was sure her bestie knew something she didn't and what did she mean, she had heard of him before. Yes, she had seen him in lessons, but what did Ella know that she herself didn't. | Ah, Evan was already bored with their conversation. Looking at pictures bored him much, and even the mention of it... shudder. He was already far away thinking how to avoid people this term, or if he could hide out in the RoR when he heard Mina's suggestion. Nooo! He didn't want them to leave, unless they would talk about summer loves. "I've already had enough privacy." he replied with a shake of his head. Then they should stay, because they were a good distraction.
He was again staring outside the window when he hard Ella's surprise. That tone of the question didn't sound nice at all. And the sentence she said afterwards, 'I mean, I've heard of you before...' He narrowed his eyes. The first person that came to his mind to slander him was Iris, but these were third years, and as far as he knew, she didn't know any thirdies. Of course. Marie. Who else would talk so much about him, especially this summer, that would leave Ella in surprise when she heard he was that Evan?
That did it. "I bet you've heard Marie saying that I was evil, insensitive, and didn't care her. She also probably added that her 'perfect' Carter had been there the whole time while I didn't even bother to write her. I guess she also said that I kissed Fallon, and that I am back with her, and all the time waited for that moment and avoided Marie for it. I might also assume you probably thought of me as an evil, selfish Slytherin which are all true in Marie's eyes. Did I miss any evil action of mine? I've behaved so badly lately that I can't remember all I did to Marie to hurt her." He glared for a few seconds at both of the girls, then buried his face into his hands as if he was regretting it. He really didn't mean none of it. But being under a lot of pressure, he just couldn't help it. His cheeks were red with anger, but it had ceased as fast as it came. He now regretted his comments. Perfect. He'd just lost potential two friends. "I didn't mean to shout at you, sorry." he muttered, having removed his hands from his face looking at the ground. "It's just... too much. I can't take it anymore." No, no. He wouldn't let that tear down his eye. He blinked, head still down to the floor. There. Better. The tear was back to his eye, though there was still a threat. One more offensive word, and he'd lose it. |
