For a moment, the thought that things got easier didn't sink in until a minute later when she was adding the honey, fluxweed leaves and sprig of peppermint. Well, this was easier. Most definitely.
Lifting her goggles up so she could actually see better, she leaned slightly closer to her cauldron when she started on the drop of Re'em blood, but not too closer where anything could be burned from the fire underneath and in case and spurted up from the cauldron, it would quite reach her.
Carefully adding the re'em blood, Evelyn sat back down afterward and let all of the ingredients mix in with each other before writing down what steps she took in her notebook.

Potions Class 2
A great potioneer by the name of Ceasar Auricomus had studied and researched male and female baldness, and eventually came up with this cure.
Capillatum Potion
1 gallon pumpkin juice
4 oz Flobberworm mucus
8 drops of Lavender essence
1 cup Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica)
5 Mandrake leaves (adult plant)
6 spoons Honey
12 Fluxweed leaves
1 sprig of Peppermint
1 drop of Re'em blood
3 Knotgrass blossoms
3 Rat tails
10 drops of Saw Palmetto extract
2 oz Zinc
Procedure
1. Add gallon of Pumpkin Juice and bring to a low simmer.
2. Use a wooden spoon to add the mucus into the mixture. Stir. (do not touch with hands or else potion will be ruined and contaminated)
3. Add the 8 lavender essence drops to the mixture (take care not to breathe it in)
4. Add the Gotu Kola and set stirrer to stir 9 times clockwise and once counter-clockwise motion.
5. While the stirrer is stirring, crush one mandrake leaf at a time in the mortar with a pestle and the same motion and time as the stirring.
6. On the last stir (10th stir counter-clockwise), add mandrake leaf to the mixture.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all mandrake leaves have been added.
8. Mix in honey, fluxweed leaves (whole), peppermint, and 1 drop of Re'em blood.
Steps taken
1. Got the ingredients and laid them in order as written.
2. Made sure Cauldron was clean.
3. Added 1 gallon of Pumpkin Juice.
4. Had Destiny light fire under cauldron for me using 'incendio'.
5. Lowered flame.
6. Used a wooden spoon to add mucus to the pumpkin juice and stirred.
7. Put on Goggles and Gloves.
8. Added 8 drops of lavender essence (a tiny break in between drops 4 and 5 to take a tiny breath)
9. Added Gotu Kola
10. Charmed the stirrer to stir x9 Clockwise and x1 Counter-Clockwise.
11. Crushed one mandrake leaf in mortar with pestle in the same time and motion as stirrer, and added the mandrake leaf into the mixture on the 10th stir.
12. Repeated steps 10 and 11 until 5 mandrake leaves have been added.
13. Mixed in the honey, fluxweed leaves (whole), sprig of peppermint, and 1 drop of Re'em blood.

She then continued to step five, which seemed to the easiest yet the most decisive, seeing that if anything went wrong here, she wouldn't get her hair back.

Seven... eight... nine... As the stirrer turned the other way, Mariel stopped and poured the crushed leaf bits into her cauldron. One down, four to go. She picked up another Mandrake leaf to repeat the tedious process.
Her hands were shaking by the time Mariel added the last Mandrake leaf. She was so determined to get this done perfectly but it was making her incredibly nervous. She did, however, manage to get the leaves and Gotu Kola in the right way with no incident. Just as she added the last leaf, the professor spoke again. Mariel smiled slightly, relieved to hear that the rest of the potion was easier. She added the honey, whole Fluxweed leaves, and peppermint. Taking a deep breath, with shaking hands Mariel picked up a dropper of Re'em blood. Just one drop or it will ruin the potion! Such pressure... Mariel took a few deep breaths to regulate her breathing, then oh-so-carefully dropped one drop into her cauldron.

Eew... hair growing on rat tails? That sounded kinda gross. Helpful, but slightly gross. Still, Keeley picked up her rather pretty flower and pinched, crumpled, and whatnot, dropping it in along with the rat tails. She had done it right, and could already see hairs growing. Yayy, but ick!
Moving quickly, Tori crumpled the blossoms between her slender fingers before she added the rat tails, holding them gingerly as she went. It was true, as she added them, hair started sprouting on them.

Taking the three knotgrass blossoms, she held them over her cauldron before crumpling them up and letting them drop into the mixture.
Her expression turned to one of disgust however when she heard the professor say something about hair growing on the rat tails. That suddenly just made this potion a lot less...appetizing. Really, they weren't going to drink it were they? Just...ew.
Quickly adding the three rat tails in afterward, she decided not to look into her cauldron in case the tails were suddenly all hairy. That was just not normal. At all.

V. Stir into the juice
VI. add drops of lavender
VII. place one of the Mandrake leaves in the mortar
VIII. add the Gotu Kola
IX. set the stirrer to magically stir 9 times clockwise, once counter
X. crush mandrake leaf with the pestle in the same motion and at the same time of the 9 stirring
XI. Add Herb on 10th stir
XII. Repeat steps IX to XI for remaining mandrake leaves
XIII. mix in the Honey, the Fluxweed leaves (whole), the peppermint and the drop of Re'em blood (only one drop or it will ruin the potion)
XIV. Crumple the knotgrass blossoms with your fingers over the potion
XV. add the rat tails (quickly)

A great potioneer by the name of Ceasar Auricomus had studied and researched male and female baldness; eventually came up with this cure.
Capillatum Potion
1 gallon pumpkin juice
4 oz Flobberworm mucus
8 drops of Lavender essence
1 cup Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica)
5 Mandrake leaves (adult plant)
6 spoons Honey
12 Fluxweed leaves
1 sprig of Peppermint
1 drop of Re'em blood
3 Knotgrass blossoms
3 Rat tails
10 drops of Saw Palmetto extract
2 oz Zinc Preparation:
make sure workstation is clean
Check if cauldron is clean
Steps:
I. Add Pumpkin juice.
II. Ignite the fire.
III. Bring to a simmer.
IV. Add Mucus with wooden spoon
V. Stir into the juice
VI. add drops of lavender
VII. place one of the Mandrake leaves in the mortar
VIII. add the Gotu Kola
IX. set the stirrer to magically stir 9 times clockwise, once counter
X. crush mandrake leaf with the pestle in the same motion and at the same time of the 9 stirring
XI. Add Herb on 10th stir
XII. Repeat steps IX to XI for remaining mandrake leaves
XIII. mix in the Honey, the Fluxweed leaves (whole), the peppermint and the drop of Re'em blood (only one drop or it will ruin the potion)
XIV. Crumple the knotgrass blossoms with your fingers over the potion
XV. add the rat tails (quickly)
"Let simmer for a half hour..." She said and looked at the kids... perfect... what were they going to do for a half hour...
"CUPCAKES!" She said summoning the cupcakes from her office. Three batches. "I have cupcakes... you can have... cupcakes." Right... this being nice thing was not working right... "These here were left at my door, these are from Miss Flores and these... are from Miss Reagan's... she looked at the students and said "I'm sure you don't mind my sharing..." She said. "I don't have a sweet tooth."
Selena was pretty sure the whole class was as shocked at she was. Was... Professor Lafay being... nice? No. She couldn't be. She took a cupcake and smiled at the professor. "Thank you, ma'am," Selena said before she took a bite into the cupcake! Yum!
Simon decided not to talk a cupcake, he was suspious of this Professor, all that would happen would they'd lose all there teeth of something, so he wasn't going to take one.

Keeley stared in shock at the professor lady. The same person that lit some people's legs on fire and baldified them was handing out sweets? This seemed out of character. What if they had some kind of potion in them? Or poison?!
Eh, whatever. If it had been any other baked good, then the Ravenclaw would definately not have touched them. Buut... cupcakes were awesome. And every opportunity for them was fine with her. She picked out one with bright blue icing. "Thanks, Professor!" she smiled happily and took a bite...
Tori took a cupcake but had it absentmindedly as she just wanted the half hour to pass successfully, giving her the right outcome of her potion. She was getting a bit cold without her hair. "Thank you professor."

Oh. They weren't going to make cupcakes were they? Raising a brow, Evelyn glanced around for a moment, unsure if she was joking or not, when a sigh of relief escaped her as she heard what the Professor really meant. Aha. Cupcakes. Got it.
Spotting her own batch, the Slytherin shrugged at the Professor, not really caring who ate them or not. However, if the Professor didn't want them, then why did she accept them?
So maybe, she really WAS nice deep deep deep...down, and the whole 5 minute semi-niceness thing down in the dungeons when she visited her was not a dream.
Alexandrie crumpled the blossoms carefully dropping them into her potion before adding in the rat tails wrinkling her nose seriously disgusting, Alex thought. Wait what? Alex thought looking at the Professor with a raised eyebrow, the Professor just offered them Cupcakes? Seriously? Alex knew it had to be a trick not to mention she was working on a potion it was too dangerous to eat and make a potion at the same time.

Destiny was on her last mandrake leaf when the Professor spoke up. She poured the mandrake in her cauldron, making sure the spoon was still stirring itself. It was!
Sighing in relief at the word easier, she looked up at the woman with hair. The instructions that were said WERE easy! Only pouring in a few ingredients, Destiny could totally do this! If she wasn't so scared to crack her knuckles, she would have did it. It just felt like a knuckle cracking moment. She rooted through her ingredients until she found the honey she was looking for. At first, she thought she forgot it, but how could she have? Oh, right. Marie was a distraction. Finding the jar, she held it above her head, as saying TADA! only..without speaking that word. Yeah, no need to get in trouble now.
After the six spoonfuls of honey went into the cauldron, Destiny grabbed the other things she would need. Whole fluxweed leaves, check. Peppermint, check. Re'em blood, DOUBLE CHECK! Smiling at her ingredients in front of her, 'cause ingredients need love too, she carefully placed each ingredient in. One drop of Re'em blood was enough, and she didn't want to think about putting more than that in her potion.
Hmm..when the potion was done..were they going to DRINK IT!? That will be gross.
Wow. Was this class was moving at a RAPID pace or what!? Destiny couldn't help but enjoy it, since the woman with hair was creeping her out. The woman was hardly yelling! Annnnd, Destiny didn't want her to either so she grabbed the blossom and over her cauldron, she crumbled it in her hand. Not the hardest thing she had done, pretty easy stuff! When the blossom was all crumbled into her cauldron, she quickly threw in the rat tails. The tails..grew HAIR! HAHA! Crazy rat tails.
Hmm..now to wait a half-hour. Destiny could either watch the hair grow on the rat tails or take a cupcake from the Professor..sure, the woman said they were given to her by Evelyn, but how could one really be sure!?
Shaking her head to decline a cupcake, she sat up a little in her seat to watch the rat tails grow hair.

Goggles and gloves on, added 8 drops lavender essence
Crush (in the same direction as stirring) one mandrake leaf in mortal. Charm spoon to stir in Goku Kola nine times clockwise and one time counter-clockwise
Pour in mandrake on the counter-clockwise stir
Repeat until five mandrakes are crushed
Mix in honey, fluxweed leaves, peppermint and drop of Re'em blood.
Crumble blossoms with hand over cauldron
Add rat tails QUICKLY Decline cupcake from Professor

Carter took his knotgrass blossoms and crumpled them between his fingertips over the cauldron. He then quickly tossed added the rat tails to the mixture. Now they just had to wait.
For 30 minutes. Great. Now was as good a time as any for him to update his potions notebook.

- put pumpkin juice in cauldron
- start fire and bring to low simmer
- add Flobberworm mucus and stir in with wooden spoon
- add drops of lavender (be careful not to breathe it in!)
- place Mandrake leaves in mortar, add Gotu Kola to cauldron, set stirrer to stir 9 times then one counter stir
- crush Mandrake leaf in the same motion as the stirrer in the cauldron. add on the counter stir. repeat for each of the remaining mandrake leaves
- add the honey, whole fluxweed leaves, and the peppermint, and a single drop of Re'em blood. mix together.
- crumple knotgrass blossoms between fingers over cauldron
- quickly add rat tails
- let simmer for 30 minutes

Wow... some of the kids trusted her.
She sat and took one of Flores' cupcakes. She touched the frosting and then tasted it. Seemed fine... and tame... so she took a bite. Too sweet for her taste but at least she wasn't being poisoned.
A half hour passed and she stood. "Alright... last step." she said and took the Saw Palmetto extract and the Zinc. "Slowly add the remaining two ingredients alternating them... a drop of Saw Palmetto a little bit of Zinc." She showed them. "Be sure to divide the zinc so it'll last as long as the Saw Palmetto."
She walked around the tables and found that all the kids had pretty good potions. "Take a spoon full and drink from it. Each spoonful will allow you to grow an inch of hair."
ooc: Hecate didn't tell you to clean the spoon on purpose. RP regrowing your hair... but if your spoon was dirty, it will change your hair color temporarily (until you wash it) so have fun with that! The professor can change it back to normal for you, but if you'd rather... you can leave it the color you wish until you wash it.
Alexandrie sighed eyeing the Professor wearily doing as she said Alternating the 10 drops of saw palmetto and 2oz zinc making sure to to make the later last as long as the 10 drops. finally she was able to drink it. She took spoonful after spoonful until her hair was as long as it had been. Her hair had sprouted from the roots falling down her shoulders until it reached her mid to lower back. It was then she noticed that her hair was a black color, a dark black color with a small streak of green. She frowned angrily, "Professor my hair is black!" Alex told her raising her hand.

Keeley smiled as their half hour was up. Yesss! Her hair was gonna come back! She giggled with excitement and carefully measured out the Saw Palmetto and Zinc, hoping that there wer even amounts. Aaand, there! They were in!
Now they had to drink it? Ehh, this potion didn't exactly smell wonderful. Or look that tasty either. But, why not? She gratefully sipped the potion, growing and growing her hair until it was the length she had started out with. YESS!!
But wait- why was her hair pink? She could've sworn it had been blonde when she walked in the door. Pink was nice, of course, but it clashed with her fedora hat. Well, luckily for her, she wouldn't have to charm it back to normal. (the perks of being a metamorphagus..) She closed her eyes tight with concentration and fixed her hair back to it's blonde. Aaah, victory!
Selena glanced at it. She took the Saw Palmetto extract and the zinc. Alternating between the two. She hoped she had the right amount. Now... to take a drink from it with a spoon. The mixing spoon? She remembered the spoon had been used to mix the potion... and the mucus. Ew. She took a cloth and rubbed it clean before dipping it into the potion. Each spoonful was one inch... her hair had reached about four inches above her waist... so that meant a lot.
She took sip by sip, a prickly feeling in her scalp but not quite painful. It felt weird though and itchy. She prevented herself from scratching her head. She continued to drink the potion and her hair had finally grown back to the original length. She checked to make sure her hair was the same. Her hair was back! That should be enough reason to celebrate... till she noticed that her hair was a way darker brown. What happened to the lovely chocolate coloured hair?!?

Drumming her fingers quietly on the table to a random song she remembered, she stopped when the Professor said it was time for the last step. Really? Well, that half hour went by pretty fast.
Sitting back up straight once more, Evelyn took note of what the next step was, quickly writing it down in her notebook before doing what the next step said to do. Alternating between the Saw Palmetto and the zinc, adding a drop of Saw Palmetto extract and a tiny bit of zinc...making sure she measured in her mind how much of the zinc she should use with each drop of the extract, she took off her goggles and gloves before placing them down on the table, and adding the last drops of each ingredient.
Once that was done, she picked up the spoon and looked into the cauldron. Okay, it didn't look all that appetizing, but she did NOT want to stay bald! And remembering that she had a pretty strong stomach, she took a small spoonful of the potion, staring at it for a moment before drinking it in once gulp. It wasn't all that bad of a taste, but it wasn't good at the same time. Probably that pumpkin juice. She hated the stuff, preferring tea or water instead.
However, she forgot all about the potion for a moment when a slightly weird sensation started on her head. Her hair! Was it growing back?! Reaching up to touch her head, she smiled rather in surprise when she felt the hair there. Except, it was too short. Tooooo short. Definitely. Another few more spoonfuls of the potion, and she could finally see her hair. Except...
It was BLOND!
Where was her beautiful dark brown hair!? This was NOT DARK BROWN! Looking back into the potion she made, she glared at it, mentally yelling at it. How dare it make her hair blond. Pffft. But she preferred actual hair then being bald, and her hair was still too short; only being grown to her shoulders and her actual hair before was slightly higher than the middle of her back.
Taking a few more spoonfuls of the potions, she placed her spoon down on the table...and then placed her head on the table too. Stupid blond. Quickly sitting back up straight again, not wanting to keep this color forever since, well she just didn't like to have blond hair, Evelyn raised her hand and looked towards the professor. Well at least tried too...she needed a hair cute. "Professor... is there, any way, to get our own hair color back to normal?" she asked. Pleeaaassse!?

Procedure
1. Add gallon of Pumpkin Juice and bring to a low simmer.
2. Use a wooden spoon to add the mucus into the mixture. Stir. (do not touch with hands or else potion will be ruined and contaminated)
3. Add the 8 lavender essence drops to the mixture (take care not to breathe it in)
4. Add the Gotu Kola and set stirrer to stir 9 times clockwise and once counter-clockwise motion.
5. While the stirrer is stirring, crush one mandrake leaf at a time in the mortar with a pestle and the same motion and time as the stirring.
6. On the last stir (10th stir counter-clockwise), add mandrake leaf to the mixture.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all mandrake leaves have been added.
8. Mix in honey, fluxweed leaves (whole), peppermint, and 1 drop of Re'em blood.
9. Crumple the Knotgrass blossoms over the cauldron and into the mixture.
10. Quickly add in the 3 rat tails (fumes may make the tails grow hair)
11. Wait half an hour.
12. Alternate between adding the Saw Palmetto extract and Zinc (make sure there is enough zinc to last with the saw palmetto)
Steps taken
1. Got the ingredients and laid them in order as written.
2. Made sure Cauldron was clean.
3. Added 1 gallon of Pumpkin Juice.
4. Had Destiny light fire under cauldron for me using 'incendio'.
5. Lowered flame.
6. Used a wooden spoon to add mucus to the pumpkin juice and stirred.
7. Put on Goggles and Gloves.
8. Added 8 drops of lavender essence (a tiny break in between drops 4 and 5 to take a tiny breath)
9. Added Gotu Kola
10. Charmed the stirrer to stir x9 Clockwise and x1 Counter-Clockwise.
11. Crushed one mandrake leaf in mortar with pestle in the same time and motion as stirrer, and added the mandrake leaf into the mixture on the 10th stir.
12. Repeated steps 10 and 11 until 5 mandrake leaves have been added.
13. Mixed in the honey, fluxweed leaves (whole), sprig of peppermint, and 1 drop of Re'em blood.
14. Crumpled the 3 knotgrass blossoms over cauldron and into the mixture
15. Quickly added the 3 rat tails in right afterward.
16. Waited half an hour
17. Alternated between adding the Saw Palmetto and Zinc (making sure there was enough Zinc for the Saw Palmetto).
