Nia had all her ingredients, and as usaual laid them out systematically. She liked her workstation to be neat and orderly, and so her ingredients were laid out in order of use. One way to limit mistakes and all that.

Satisfied, she turned to her cauldron. She always gave it a good clean out after a lesson, and last time had been no exception. It was a good habit she'd got into from Kazimeriz's lessons, and with such a stressy professor, she figured it was even more important. A close inspection and second cleaning later, Nia was happy she could start - and poured in the pumpkin juice. With a flick of her wand, and a non verbal spell the burner was lit, and Nia waited for the simmer.

And there it was. Little bubbles coming round the edge of the cauldron. Wooden spoon in hand, Nia proceeded to the next step. The mucus. Did Lafay think she wanted to touch the stuff? Ewwww. She put in the cauldron, and stirred carefully. She watched the gooey oozing stuff mix into the juice. Mmm....lovely. Just what she wanted to regrow her hair. Meh.

At the question, Nia raised her hand. "Try not to breathe it in, unless you wanna smell and taste lavender for the next few days," she replied. Was that a direction to put the lavender in or not? She held off for a few moments, in case it wasn't...

Alex sighed raising her hand wanting to understand the directions perfectly, "Does magically mean by doing the locomotor spell on the spoon to stir Ma'am?" Alex asked slightly confused.

Eep. These directions sounded muuch more complex than the lavender and pumpkin juice. But luckily, Keeley was a very good charms student, so the stirring was easy peasy. Now the madrake leaves would be slightly more difficult, as she was never good with a pestle. But after one minor finger scrape, the mandrake was in the potion, and all looked pretty good.

Trixie listened to EXACTLY what the professor was saying. She nodded as the professor asked if they understood. She didn't want to get it wrong and she certainly wanted to get her precious Blonde hair back straight away!!! What would she do without it and with only a bit of her memory. Life would be depressing! She wrote down all the notes and then turned to her cauldron adding the Gotu Kola and stirring it magically 9 times clockwise and one counter. But just before she had done this she placed a Mandrake leaf in the mortar and crushed it with the pestle at the same time as the 9 times stirring, pouring the herb in with the 10th counter stir. She did this 5 times for each of the leaves as she had been instructed.

"Yes..." she said "Locomotor spoon or stirrer. Weren't you taught this in charms?" She asked. She shook her head.

Emma watched the Professor. She had been following the steps carefully. She checked her notebook for her next step:

Emma took a deep breath and placed one of the Mandrake leaves in the mortar, she crushed with the pestle, using the same motion in the time of the nine stiring. She then added the Gotu Kola, setting the stirrer to magically stir nine times clockwise and one counter. On the 10th counter stir, she poured the herb in. She repeated these steps
until all five of her Mandrake leaves were gone. She the waited for further instructions from the Professor.

Fail. Ellie frowned. She would not lose points. She would not...

She watched the teachers explanation. And copied exactly.

Simon smiled as he did what the Professor told them to do, he so wanted his hair back and at the minute would do anything that the Professor would say, just so that he could get his hair back.

Taking a few deep breathes first before taking out her gloves and...goggles (ugh)... Evelyn quickly put both on before picking up the lavender essence and then held her breath before leaning forward towards her cauldron.

Eh. Need to breath again. Okay..

5...6...7...8...

Making sure she was far enough away from the cauldron so she could take another breath, the Slytherin placed the small vial down on the table before glancing up and paying very close attention to what the professor was doing. A charm to make it stir nines times clockwise and one counter clockwise? Oh. Locomotor. Duh, of course.

Seeing the demonstration the Professor was doing, by the third mandrake leaf she started on, Evelyn pretty much got the concept down. Alright then. However, she waited for the professor to finish her part of the potion before starting her own, just to make sure there weren't any little extra steps in it. Moving her mortar closer to herself, she scooted a little closer to the table before taking out her wand, picking up the Gotu Kola and pouring it into the mixture. Okay! Quickly placing one of the mandrake leaves into her mortar, she then charmed the stirrer to stir nine times clockwise and one time counter-clockwise.

This was possibly the most difficult thing she's done in potions as of yet. Since she had no clue what would happen if she got the timing wrong, she tried to get it as perfectly as she could. Matching the turns and speed of the stirrer while crushing the mandrake leaf, she counted in her mind how many turns there were, and on the tenth counter-clockwise turn did she add the crushed leaf into the cauldron.

Quickly adding another leaf to her mortar so she didn't lose any time, she did it the exact same way and added in the contents on the tenth stir. However, she felt like she almost messed up on the fourth leaf when she lost count in her mind. No matter though! Just wait for the stirrer to turn the other way...

At least there were no explosions as of yet. And hopefully just thinking that didn't jinx it.

Selena set down the spoon to put on her gloves and goggles. She added the lavender to the potion and was careful not to sniff it. She added the Gotu Kola then used her wand to make the stirrer stir by itself 9 times clockwise, once counter. She grounded the leaves up and on the tenth counterstir, she poured it in quickly. Eep. She hoped she did it right.

Victoria nodded as she watched and wrote down her notes. Then, she began the same process with the spoon as she crushed a Mandrake leaf.

Kylie continued to copy her professor exactly. She focused on the color and texture of the potion, but also on what the professor was saying and doing. After finishing the task at hand, she quietly arranged her ingredients. They'd been in no particular order, and now they were in order of when they would be used.

Destiny gave a quick smile to Evelyn. She was scared that if emotion showed on her face, the Professor would take her potion away..again. Nope, not today Professahhhh!!

Eww. The next part of this potion was disgusting. Mucus, BLAH! She picked up her wooden spoon and started working on that gross stuff. She wondered why the Professor didn't have the special solution that would take the mucus off thier hands..unless she was just trying to scare them all. Destiny looked up from the mucus stirring and narrowed her eyes at the woman with hair. She got too scared though, and quickly went back to her cauldron.

When her mucus stuff was all stirred in, she turned to look at Marie. Heh, her friend was once again sitting with Carter. Good, Destiny thought, she was tired of hearing Marie complain, and complain, and complain. "Good riddance." she mumbled under her breath. She hoped Marie's cauldron would explode. Mwahaha!

She waited for the next step, and when she heard what it was, a frown crossed her face. That meant..goggles were going to be on everyone..goggles on bald heads.. She would just have to keep her eyes off of everyone and not laugh. It'll be HARD. As soon as her eyes and hands were protected, she held her breath and added the eight drops of lavender. Must not laugh, must not laugh! Success! Not one single giggle escaped her mouth, but she still didn't want to risk looking up at everyone. She knew, she just knew that Marie was going to be EXTREMELY funny looking.

...she had to look up. Merlin! Destiny slowly looked to the front of class as the Professor demonstrated the next step. It wasn't hard to avoid looking at everyone else, since this step seemed most tricky. Heaving a sigh, she placed a mandrake leaf into her mortal, poured the Goku Kola into her cauldron and charmed her spoon to stir in the right directions. Potions..was hard! Too much THINKING! She pushed the goggles up further on her face and as the spoon turned, she crushed the mandrake. On the counter-clockwise turn, she quickly put the mandrake into her cauldron. Gah! She needed to do this a few more times..

Alex calmed herself quickly, "Yes, but I wanted to make sure. I wouldn't want to mess it up after all." Alex told the Professor before copying the intructions to the dot. Crushing the mandrake excatly as the notes said to and then adding them and the Gota Kola stiring precisely. She really wanted her hair back after all. Alex suddenly wanted to turn her bald she if she wanted to mess up her potion by not making crystal clear instructions.

Sidney watches Professor Lefay demonstrate the process. It looks very complicated and easy to mess up. She pulls out her morter and pestle and moves the mandrake leaves to within easy reach.

Sidney writes the directions down in her journal, says a small prayer, and gets started. She places a leaf in the mortar. Sidney then puts her wand in her left hand and performs the Locomotor Charm. I hope this works. My right arm is my dominent arm. She picks up the pestal. Then Sidney starts moving her wand in a circular direction while she crushes the mandrake leaf. Five, six, seven, eight.... Sidney looks down at her mortar. Thankfully the leaf is crushed. "Nine..." Sidney picks up her mortar and empties the leaf into the potion, then starts her wand moving in a counterclockwise direction one time. She then breathes a short sigh of relief, and starts the process over again.

Ericks quickly added the Gotu Kola and then he tried setting the stirrer to follow the orders.He placed a Mandrake leaf in the mortar and after crushing it he poured the herb and stirred for the tenth time. He wasn't sure if this was what he was supposed to do but from what he heard it sure seemed right.

"Step five..." she said and continued... "Things get easier now... mix in the Honey, the Fluxweed leaves, whole, the peppermint and the drop of Re'em blood. Only one or it'll ruin the potion."

Tori smiled a little at her progress but mostly thinking of getting back her hair. She put on her goggles and dragon hide gloves. Then as demonstrated by the professor she,added the Gotu Kola and charmed the stirrer to stir 9 times clockwise, once counter.
As told she place one of the Mandrake leaves in the mortar and crush it with the pestle in the same motion and at the same time of the 9 stirring, pouring the herb in with the 10th counter stir, before hand.

She put a leaf in her mortar, poured the Gotu Kola and charmed the stirrer in cauldron.

Patterning Professor Hecate, she matched the turns and speed of the stirred while crushing the leaf. When the stirrer turned the other way, she added the contents of her mortar and started with another leaf. Just like her professor, she repeated the motion the five times she needed to add her five Mandrake leaves. She then continued to step five, which seemed to the easiest yet the most decisive, seeing that if anything went wrong here, she wouldn't get her hair back.

Selena mixed in the honey, the Fluxweed leaves and the peppermint. She then added the Re'em blood, careful to only put in one drop. She could not afford to make a mistake in this. When she was done, she wrote down some notes for it.

Alex mixed in the Honey (6 spoons) the 12 Fluxweed whole, the one spring of peppermint and the 1 drop of re'em's blood. She made sure it was precise, she didn't want to ruin her potion after all. Being bald was no fun at all.

Simon did what the Professor said and made sure he put just on drop of the Re'em blood. He was glad that the Professor was saying it was getting easier he really wanted to get the Potion finished so he could have his hair back

Keeley breathed a slight sigh of relief. This was much less complex. She smiled, mixing in the oopey goopey honey, the soft fluxwood leaves, the fresh smelling pepermint, and the re'em blood. Handling blood slightly creeped the girl out, she was a vegetarian afterall, but if it meant her hair would grow back, then it would be a sacrifice. Her hand wobbled ever so slightly as she poured the drop of blood, but thank Merlin, it stayed just fine.

Ellie added the next ingredients as the professor instructed. She sighed. This was a horrible class. She focused all her attention to her potion making alone. Just so she could have hair back. And then, she leaves.

Mariel glanced up from her cauldron as the professor orated her next set of instructions. Setting her wooden spoon down, the Ravenclaw gave her full attention to the demonstration. Somewhat more complicated than the hair-care potions she often brewed, she noticed. Once the professor was finished, the 17 year old jotted a few notes down on her parchment, then returned to her potion. It was crucial she get this done perfectly because she needed her hair back and was afraid that if she didn't, Professor Lafay was not going to give her a second chance. Then she'd be bald forever!

Mariel donned her gloves and goggles and carefully added eight drops of lavendar to her cauldron, making sure to hold her breath as she did so. Now the tricky part. The 6th year consulted the notes she had written based on the professor's demonstartion. Reaching for her mortar and pestle, Mariel placed one of the Mandrake leaves inside the mortar. After she added the Gotu Kola into her brew, the Ravenclaw grabbed the pestle with her left hand and her wand with her right. Taking a deep breath, she muttered the incantation for the Locomotor Charm and carefully watched the stirrer already in her cauldron while matching the motion with the pestle, crushing the leaf in the mortar.

Seven... eight... nine... As the stirrer turned the other way, Mariel stopped and poured the crushed leaf bits into her cauldron. One down, four to go. She picked up another Mandrake leaf to repeat the tedious process.

Her hands were shaking by the time Mariel added the last Mandrake leaf. She was so determined to get this done perfectly but it was making her incredibly nervous. She did, however, manage to get the leaves and Gotu Kola in the right way with no incident. Just as she added the last leaf, the professor spoke again. Mariel smiled slightly, relieved to hear that the rest of the potion was easier. She added the honey, whole Fluxweed leaves, and peppermint. Taking a deep breath, with shaking hands Mariel picked up a dropper of Re'em blood. Just one drop or it will ruin the potion! Such pressure... Mariel took a few deep breaths to regulate her breathing, then oh-so-carefully dropped one drop into her cauldron.

Carter carefully, using the wooden spoon, added the mucus and stirred.

Now was time for the lavender. Holding his breath and being sure not to breathe any lavender in he began adding drops to his cauldron.

Carter watched carefully. This could get a little tricky. He put on his goggles and gloves. He added the first leaf to his mortar. Then he added the Gotu Kola to his cauldron. "Locomotor spoon" he said. He then matched the movements of his spoon with his movements using the pestle.

Crush. Crush. Crush. Crush. Crush. Crush. Crush. Crush. Crush. Add to cauldron.

He repeated the process for each of his remaining leaves.

Phew. This would be easier. Taking a hold of his spoon he stirred in the honey, whole fluxweed leaves, and the peppermint. He then carefully added a single drop of Re'em blood. Now he just had to make sure everything mixed together.
