Hufflepuff House Table
 

This table seats the loyal students of Hufflepuff house.

Joseph walks into the Great Hall. Cannot believe what he just walked into. There is nothing like this in the Muggleworld!

He sits down by himself, because he has yet to make any friends.

The train was over, and now Jake was stuck here. No going back.

Wearing his new robes, which were a much richer black than his old ones, which had faded, Jake went and sat at the table near the staff area, as was his usual custom. With a sigh he ran a hand through his hair and went to adjust his glasses, forgetting he was wearing contacts.

He just wanted... to chill.

But that wouldn't be possible until next summer, so he'd make this term as easy for himself as possible, and be good.

Swinging his feet, Jake kept an eye out for anybody he recognised.

Rhea made her way to the Hufflepuff table glad that the train ride was over. She straightened her uniform before sitting and smoothed her hair. It was the first day back, she wanted to look presentable. She watched as everyone else mulled in and the first years got sorted.

She hated this part of the feast where everyone had to sit with their house, she hardly had any friends in HufflePuff and was already annoyed with sitting by herself.

Nunually had left the train as soon as it stopped since she was a first year, she had asked her friends if they were already there and her curiosity took the best of her she left her belongings at the train and since there were students getting off she headed that way as well since she did not want to go the opposite side, in case of getting her left arm injured again. As she headed towards the table she gulped. She was in a new school without her mother and a place were she was accepted she took in a deep breath and sat down next to a nervous looking hufflepuff boy. She was so happy she had been chosen into Hufflepuff just like Georgie and Emalyn.

Esmerelda looked around the Great Hall with a big smile on her face, she had never seen such a big, beautiful room. She looked up at the ceiling in amazement; she couldn't see the ceiling at all, but the night sky that looked exactly like the sky outside. It was almost like as if there was no ceiling.

Nunually looked around and saw more students, as she followed her stare she saw the ceiling which was no ceiling? Instead of a ceiling there was a sky a beautiful sky with stars, Nunually's mouth made an o shape and she said. "Oh, that is beautiful." she was amazed with magic so far. She quickly looked down and blushed, she didn't want anyone to make fun of her. She quickly looked at the girl and smiled. "Hello! My name is Nunually." she said introducing herself. She wanted to make friends here, she wanted this place to be fun not like her old muggle school.

Cadence sat down at the Hufflepuff table. Somehow she had lost Lanie. She looked up and down the table for her, but she was nowhere in sight. Oh well, I'll just save her a seat...

Cadence wasn't really in the mood to meet anymore new people at the moment. She was so confused about what had just happened on the train. She thought things were going just fine with her and Tyler. Nothing serious, just flirty, just fun. And then he disappeared with that Lucy girl and never came back. Oh well, maybe she'd find him somewhere... maybe they'd talk or something when there wasn't a compartment full of people around... and the she smiled, embarassed of her babbling on the train. "Alone with someone else? What was I thinking?!" she said out loud, but to herself.

Anastasia walked into the Great Hall, and was immediately amazed. She couldn't beleive how beautiful this school was! She smiled, and took an empty seat near the end of the table.

Tyler looked up and down the Hufflepuff table. "She did mention that she was a Huffie, right?" he questioned himself and started walking. His eyes glanced all around, looking for that one particular person. Then, he spotted her. Cadence looked a bit sad and lonely. It was probably from the train situation and he never returned to the compartment. "Hey, about what happened in the train," Ty started as he sat next to her. "I'm sorry I didn't come back. I just had to Lucy about something," he said, honestly. Tyler didn't have a reason to lie. Not to her, or anyone for that matter. Unless it was to get out of trouble, but that was a different story.

Lorelai looked like a fool. Gold wasn't in her house, and neither was Adam. She frowned a little bit, and then sighed taking a seat before looking over at the table she had seen Goldie take a seat and, and tried finding her. It just so happened there were ALOT off students in the Great Hall now. And it was useless. Later.

Later, she would find her best friend, and catch up with her.

"Merlin's Beard!" Cadence exclaimed when she heard someone talking next to her. She had been so wrapped up in her own brain that she hadn't noticed that... oh no... Tyler had sat down next to her. Please Merlin! Tell me he didn't hear me talking to myself! He.was.sitting.next.to.her. Breathe, Cady. Just be cool. "Oh! Hi Tyler! I didn't see you... or hear you sit down next to me! You scared me!" she said with a cute laugh and a little hair toss as she looked his way. "It's okay! Don't even worry about it. She seemed to want to talk to you really badly. Must have been important." she finished with a flirtatious smirk and a little bump into him.

Nymphy saw Cadence and went to sit by her. "Hey buddy! What's up?" he said. He thought he saw Vasti and waved. "How you doing?" he said to Cadence.

Walking into the great hall was, well, Great. Kay could believe she was here. Looking around the room she saw people who were friends and people who used to be. Sighing she walked over to the Hufflepuff table and wished Rex could sit with her. As Kay started to sit down she saw Kita all by herself. Running over Jumped into the sit next to her. "HI!" Kay said smiling and laughing a little. "How are you? Can you believe we're back?" Kay was happy to see her friend.

Anastasia looked at all the people who were sitting at the Hufflepuff table, and sighed. Where were Arya and Emily? She was going to have to eat by herself, wasn't she?

Esmerelda looked at the girl who spoke to her, "My name is Esmerelda." she said smiling. She looked at the ceiling again, "The ceiling is bewitched to look like the sky." she said, "I read it in Hogwarts, A History."

"My bad" he chuckled. "I just wanted to apologize for that," Tyler ruffled his hair since it was getting flat again. Darn, he needed some hair spray at least. "She was throwing jokes at me, most of the time," he explained. He didn't like that Luce mentioned the whole 'jail' thing. It was his part in America, where he wanted to leave it. Ty chuckled again as Cadence gave him a little bump on his side.

Cadence smiled as Tyler ruffled up his hair. That was kind of cute, she had to admit. "Would you like some help with that?" she said as she pointed at his hair and reached down toward floor for her bag, pulling out a can of hairspray. "Never leave home without hairspray." she said shaking the can. "Don't worry... I'm a professional... at making hair messy..." she giggled as she ruffled up his hair and sprayed some hairspray in it. "There ya go. Now you can stop worrying about it!" And for a moment she just looked at him and smiled until...

"Oh.. hi Nymphy! I see you made it into Hufflepuff! That's great!" she said smiling at him.

... And the moment with Tyler was gone, but she turned back toward him nonetheless. "So she was making jokes huh? I wouldn't think people wouldn't want to joke with some guy whose fifteen and already been in jail..." she whispered the last word and gave him a twinkling smile along with another nudge. Now she got a little brave and leaned close, whispering in his ear."Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. Not that I believe it for one second, but I won't tell anyone."

Anastasia decided to go sit with two girls who looked about her age. "Hello," she said in her Russian accent, "I'm Anastasia. Is it alright if I sit with you?"

Nunually was nervous she had never attempted making friends by introducing herself first and telling them her name. She swallowed, she clearly remembered the last time she had attempted making a friend and how that girl had pretended just to learn all her secrets so that the next week all of her secrets would be posters in the wall on the whole campus, "Nice to meet you Esmerelda." she said and gave her a smile back. As she heard about the ceiling her smile grew. "Really? Wow magic is amazing." she said and looked up once more. "Hogwarts A History?" she asked confused.

Nunually was startled by another girl and she got a bit frightened. She thought the girl was going to hurt her for being ignorant but as soon as she introduced herself and said hello she smiled and relaxed. "Hello Anastasia, I am Nunually and sure." she said cheerfully and moved over a bit. Nunually was surprised she was making friends, or at least contact with people so easily. It hadn't been like this with the muggles. Mommy, I am making friends and talking to stranger you would be so proud of me. As she heard her accent Nunually smiled. "Russian accent? I used to live in Russia with mommy when I was a baby so I don't remember much but I recognize the accent, my mommy's friend still lives there and calls on occasion."

She greeted both girls, and sat down. When Nunually mentioned that her Mum was from Russia, she smiled. "That's really cool."

Nunually nodded. "Are you a first year too?" she asked and looked at her. Nunually wasn't sure what to do right now she never had anyone to talk to back home at least not someone around her age, or someone who she wanted to be friends with. She gave her a smile and looked around at the food. "It all smells so delicious." she said and clapped her hands together. "I hope none of it has pineapple or pumpkin I am allergic to them."

Esmerelda looked at Anastasia and said, "My name is Esmerelda." she extended her hand toward her to shake.

"It's a book about Hogwarts," Esmerelda said to Nunually, "My stepdad owns the book. I read it after he told me I was a witch, it's full of fascinating things."

Nunually looked at Esmerelda and smiled. Nunually loved to read, and she loved books. She looked at Esmerelda and said her name once to remember it "Es-es.. but she was having trouble so she looked at her once more. "Um, I can't seem to pronounce your name properly I'm sorry." she told her. "May I call you Esme?" before she realized what she had asked she blushed. She didn't even know her that well they had known each other a few seconds.

Kay looked around hoping that she would see some more of her friends. Looking back to the other tables kay was that marie was there and the Rex had walked in. She hoped that he would come over to talk to her when he could. Marie looked like she was happy to be back. Kay hope that they would work things out. Turning back to her table she waited to just have this over with. Kay wasn't very hungry.

Emalyn made her way toward the table and sat down across from - HEY!! IT WAS JAKEEE!!!
"Hey there!" she grinned, waving her hand in his face. (Which probably was unnecessary, but she did it anyways). "How've you been? You look...different..?" she peered at him over the goblet she was filling with pumpkin juice. Meh...maybe he had just gotten older.

Emalyn looked just further down the table and saw she was sitting not too far away from Nunually. She beamed as she realized this meant the girl had been sorted into Hufflepuff. "Nunually! You're a Hufflepuff!" she beamed at her, showing her two thumbs-up. "We'll get to hang out all the time now." she finished pouring her pumpkin juice and handed the pitcher to Nunually. "I don't expect you've ever had pumpkin juice, have you? It's really good." she set the pitcher in front of Nunually, nodding. "I wish I could bring some home with me in the summer. Maybe I could buy some in Diagon Alley."

"Of course you can call me Esme." said Esmerelda. She mostly liked being called 'Esme' because it actually made her sound older than she was. She was quite fond of her full name though because it was so unique.

Kay looked up to see Georgie. "Hi, yes you can sit here. How's it going?" Kay was glad that one of the Magical Five was with her. Picking up a glass Kay poured some pumpkin juice. "Hi, guys please sit with us." Kay smiled at the girls that had just got there.

Marie walked over to the Hufflepuff table hoping to talk to Kay before the feast started. Things weren't so great with them on the train so she didn't know if Kay would even talk to her now.
"Hey Kay, can we talk for a minute?"

Georgiana smiled thankfully, placing some food on her plate. She had never eaten that other sandwhich...hmm..."Oh, things are going well! I'm just so astounded by the size of this castle! Wowzers!" she replied, looking around the large room. "How are things going with you?" she asked turning back to Kay.

Kay looked at Marie and then Back to her friends at the table. "Mmmm...Sure. What about?" Kay said turning to look right at her. "You can sit if you want." What did Marie want. Kay didn't want to fight in the Great Hall of all places.

Kay looked from Marie and back to Georgie. "Well, very thing is going fine." Kay said looking back at Marie. "I am hoping we have DADA class first thing."

Georgiana nodded, though she herself preferred Potions. "How are the classes and teachers here?" she asked, some what nervously.

Anastasia shook Esmerelda's hand. "Nice to meet you." "Yes, I am a first year. This is all a bit daunting, isn't it?" Anastasia winced as she noticed the pumpkin juice was close to Nunually. She gingerly pushed it away, "That would be pumpkin juice."

Nunually nodded and smiled "I'm with you and Georgie." she said happily and waved and smiled. She was so happy that meant that she would share a room with her friends. As she was handed the pumpkin juice she smiled and smelled it. "What is this?" she asked and as soon as she had grabbed it she began to get ichy. "Georgie were in the same house." she said scratching. "We get to hang out like you said and I wont' be lonely like you guys promised." she said "Yay" she said and continued to scratch. She put down the pitcher and wondered why she was itchy all of a sudden but it wasn't a lot it stopped and suddenly Anastasia took away the pitcher and her eyes widened. "Oh thank you, you just saved my life." she said and her heart began to race, thankfully the little spot wasn't so big she took out her lotion and applied it.

Jenny looked into the room. She slowly walked to a seat nearby. She knew no one except Nicoletta D. "Wonder if she's here." She whispered.

Georgiana laughed, and said from across the table, "I promised didn't I?" she asked with a smile, she was so glad Nulu was in the same house. As she took a sip of her pumpkin juice, an earlier conversation popped into her mind. "Nulu! Don't drink that! It's pumpkin juice! Your allergic to pumpkin!"

"Oh, I liked all of my Professors here. And the classes..well I liked almost all of them. I really don't care of Herbology, but the rest are great." Kay said as she drink some of her pumpkin juice.

"Thanks, but I will stand, I'm not staying long. I know we are not getting along right now but I just thuoght you might want to take a look at who your boyfriend is talking to." Looking over at the Gryffindor table Marie sees that Rex is still sitting with Alexandra. "Didn't you tell him about her? I know he is a friendly guy but if he thinks us Slytherins are bad he better watch out for her. She makes Slytherins look like angels."
Looking at the others sitting with Kay she didn't want them to think she was rude so she apologized for interrupting their conversation. "Sorry everyone, didn't mean to interrupt, I just needed to tell Kay something."

Anastasia looked up as one of the girls she saw on the train sat town at the table. She didn't look very happy, nervous, even. What was her name? Oh yes. "Jenny!" Anastasia said, "Come down here and sit with my friends and me , yeah?"

"Thanks," he said as Cadence sprayed his hair. He interlocked his fingers into his hair and styled it. Now, his spikes were more visible and it was standing up just a bit. Not too much or he'll look like a bird. Ugh, she mentioned the jail thing. "I didn't go to jail," he stated. "Nor juivie. I just got held in a cell for getting into som trouble," she sighed and looked down. His elbows were on his knees as he leaned forward to looks at his feet.

Kay looked at the Gryffindor table and sighed. God way did this day keep getting worst. Why her. "Yes, I see. Thanks. And Marie I not mad at you. Ok?" Kay said as she watched the other table.

Georgiana laughed, "I myself am not a herbology lover, but potions is awesome! Whose the potions master?"

Arya skipped from the sorting hat to her house table.Hufflepuff, Hufflepuff, I'm in Huffle, Hufflepuff! She sang a song in her head as she scaned the table looking to see if any of her friends had been sorted into Hufflepuff also. Then she saw Anastasia already talking to a group of students and her face lite up. "Anastasia!"She ran to her to her friend giving her a big hug before sitting beside her."Were both in Hufflepuff can you believe it? Hey everyone, I'm Arya." She looked from Anastasia to all the other student she was sitting with waving happly.

Anastasia gave her friend a big hug. "i totally call the bed next to yours!" she said, laughing. "This is so awesome!"

As one of the jars was taken away and another was handed to her she put it down. "Is everything here pumpkin?" she asked and decided that she might not want to eat today.

Wesley walked into the great hall, a slight skip in her step, completely at ease and extremely satisfied with her much improved train-riding ability. She loved, loved, loved Hogwarts. Loved it like she loved Mother and Father and Charles and Mr. Lawrence and Butterbeer and dancing Badgers and Hufflepuff and Sarah and Sarah's parents and Mariel and Rhea and Cornish Pixies and Iris and Lucia and Santine and her own wand and Aaron and Brenna and that one nice Goblin and trees and Mr. Beezwick and Mr. Florean and Ryder and nifflers and Miranda and Reese and adding numbers and Jake and Jack and and Mr. Peep and Prefect Dominic and Lucille and Evan and Irial and that one nice wand lady and Cela and Butterbeer Ice Cream and Evelyn and Prefect Tammy and Prefect Vannessa and all the professors and Captain Kaika and that one nice ice cream lady too and the house-elves and just EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING!

(even Tiberius, because this was a different sort of love than the kissing people kind)

The child TEENAGER was so filled with love that nothing could possibly bring her down.

Except. Perhaps. Most likely. The staff table.

The bounce gone, Wesley walked dejectedly to her house table, the yellows in the student's robes not quite as smiley as usual.

Slumping into her chair, feeling quite deflated, Wesley just sat there, staring at nothing, which was really her plate, wallowing too deeply in sadness to notice who she was sitting next to.

"Like I said," Cadence began pulling away from his ear. "I didn't believe you'd actually been to jail. I was just teasing." She bumped into him, hard enough to knock him off balance this time, in an attempt to cheer him up. "Come on, smile!" she said, flashing him a cheesey smile.

"Fine, glad you're not mad because I really didn't do anything wrong. But never mind that now, I hope you set him straight about ALexandra or you could be in for a bad year again."
As Marie was getting ready to head back to her own table she heard one of the girls sitting there ask abuot the potions professor. "Potions you say? That professor is a total head case. Professor Kazimeriz is NOT my favorite professor. All I can say is don't touch, eat or drink anything that man gives you and you should be safe in there."
Marie turned and walked back to her own house table to wait for the feast to start.

Rex walked to the HufflePuff table. He tripped over the girl's foot at the end of the table. "Sorry, mam, I am clumsy' he told her. I am really clumsy in front of very pretty girls, mam" Rex told her. " My name is Rex Trigwell" he introduced himself. " I am looking for my girlfriend Kay' he told her. " There she is' Rex called out but in a polite tone.

" Kay, I am here for you" Rex told her. " I made up with Marie" Rex said to Kay. " If you want to leave me because you and Marie need to stay best friends, I really would undesrstand" Rex explained to Kay. He gave her a quick kiss. " Who is yoru friend?" Rex asked Kay.

kay could tell that marie wasn't going to get over this. At least not yet. She really didn't like the Potion Professor. Kay giggled at the thought of Marie in class. "Marie and the Potions Professor didn't get along very well. She doesn't like him. But I liked potions class. It's not my best class, but thats ok." Kay said watching Marie walk back to her table.

Kay hugged him and kissed his cheek. "I'm sorry if this is hard on you." Kay said. "But I would like to keep you." Kay smiled up at Rex. "Can you sit with me?" She wanted to keep him for as long as she could. Classes would start soon and she didn't know if they would have classes together. "Oh, I love you, too."

" I will sit with you dear" Rex told Kay. " Now what is good to eat?" Rex asked Kay. " You have to excuse me if I do not know how to act in front ot you at times as you are my first girlfriend, my first love" Rex said to Kay. Rex tried to sit down and missed the nench. Rex laughed hard. "See wht you pretty girls so to me" Rex explained to Kay.

"I can smile, seee" Tyler smiled and laughed. He couldn't be forced to smile. It was just too weird to do. Tyler had to smiled naturally, funny moments or just memories.

"Much better! I much prefer a laughing, smiling Tyler than a sad one. So what do most people call you? Do they call you Tyler or Ty or what?" she said interestedly. Then she gasped and placed a hand on his arm. "Can I call you TyTy?!" she asked with a giggle.

Ema waved back at Georgiana excitedly, smiling. It was nice to have someone to hang out on the train and during the feast, usually she would end up alone until the next day when she would get to see all her classmates when it was less crowded.


Emalyn returned Nunually's smile. "Yeah, it'll be fun." Ema looked back at the pitcher. "Oh...it's - " but she cut off when she realized what was happening. Her eyes widened and she started to tug on her earlobe. "Oh gosh...I'm sorry Nunually! I didn't know you were allergic." she appologized. She always forgot about common allergies. "Here," she said, holding up a pitcher of water and a pitcher of milk. "Do you want one of these? There might be a different kind of juice, maybe an apple cider or something, down at the other end." Jeesh...if only she didn't mess up so much. At least Nunually hadn't drank it, that would have been awful.

"Of course! I can't believe this, were you nervious when you got sorted?" It was all to sureal to her, finally she was at Hogwarts! She looked around for Allison and Emily, hoping they too would be in Hufflepuff. But she didn't see either of them and a small frown came to her face. "Do you jnow where Allison and Emily are?

Kay hugged him tight and turned to sit back down. "Well everything is good..." Kay heard Rex fall and then laughter. Kay laughed a little. "Are you ok?' kay asked laughing with him. "Oh, Rex I love you. You don't have to feel uneasy with me." Kay said as she hold her hand out to help.

Tyler laughed. "Thanks," he smiled and swung his under the table. Hmmm, Tyler had to think for a bit. Sheesh, he had many names, but there were only a handful he liked. "Just Tyler or Ty," he answered. He was looking up, admiring the ceiling when he felt Cadence's hand on his arm. He looked back her and arched an eyebrow. "TyTy? Hmmm, sure. It's one I haven't heard so far," he chuckled.

Ziva was happy to be back at school. She almost ran into the Great Hall to find someone new to sit with. She sat down and decided that she'd made enough friends in the last few days, it was time for them to come find her!

"TyTy it is then!" she said giggling still. "Are you going to get embarrassed and run the other way if I see you in the hallway and scream TyTy in front of everyone to get your attention?"

Wow... Cadence could actually talk to Tyler. TyTy. She smiled to herself. This was much better than being all smiley and awkward. Yes, talking and getting to know one another was much better than being a stupid girl who didn't know what to say.

Avery was sorted into Hufflepuff and went to join the table. She saw Cadence at joined her at the table. Avery also noticed that she was flirting with Tyler again. She smiled and waved at her and went to go sit down. "I'm pretty excited now Cadence! Not so nervous now!" Avery was no longer blushing either!

Nunually looked at Ema and smiled. "Milk sounds good thank you." she said and got up and went to give her a hug. "It's ok, I tend to forget sometimes, I only remembered today because I had ice cream and had to ask." she said smiling. "Of course you didn't know silly you just meet me." she said giving her a tight hug.

"Maybe just a little," he laughed. TyTy sounded like a name a little kid would say if they couldn't pronounce his name. But he liked, only if she was the only one who called him that. But if Kat heard it, Tyler would never hear the end of her mouth. Tragic story being related to her.

Ema smiled (though a bit on the appologetic side) and handed the milk pitcher to Nunually. She returned the hug, squeezing her tightly. "Well I'm sorry either way. I should have told you what it was sooner." Ema let go of Nunually and shrugged. "My cousin is allergic to peanuts once and forgot he was when I made peanut butter cookies." Ema sighed. "Let's just say it did not end well. So thank goodness you never drank it! You just might need to be careful around Halloween time...some of the dishes include pumpkin in them around then, mostly just to look festive." Ema thought for a bit. "You aren't allergic to the smell of them are you? I don't even know if it's possible to be allergic of a smell exactly, but sometimes at Halloween, instead of candles floating they use carved pumpkins. But they're probably just enchanted, so it shouldn't effect you." Ema tugged on her earlobe again. Nunually had only touched the pitcher of pumpkin juice and had a reaction. She hoped she wasn't too badly off with the pumpkin situation. "We'll try to watch out for ya." she winked, stuffing a fork full of potatoes in her mouth. "Are there any other allergies I should know about?"

"Well, I want scream it at you in the hallway then. I'll only call you that when we're alone... Oh wait, that's not what I mean. I mean, when there aren't a lot of other people around. Assuming you want to be around me without a lot of other people around, I guess..." Cadence rambled on trying to salvage the moment.

Oh Avery thank Merlin for saving me! "Hey Avery! I'm glad you're excited! It's gonna be great! Told you there's nothing to be nervous about."

Scipia went over to the table unsure of where to sit.
"i suppose that many people have this problem when they first get here..." she quietly commented to herself. Scanning the table quickly she noted that none of the people that she had met on the train were sitting there.
"Fantastic" she said sarcastically, "i suppose i will just pick a random spot..."

With such quickness that few saw the flying paper plane, the plane hit the back of Arya's head, and kept hitting her until she would grab it.

Cadence began stumbling around with her words again. All Tyler could do right now was just chuckled at her words. "Relax, I know what you mean," he smirked. Did she usually get nervous around boys, or just him? It was a bit awkward sometimes, but there wasn't much Tyler could do about it anyways.

I was just getting used to living in England again, and now I have to get used to a new school, new teachers, new subjects...

Even though Evelyn was feeling a little overwhelmed by all the changes she was going through, she felt happy as she sat down at the Hufflepuff table. She didn't mind sitting alone, for now, and she sipped at her drink, feeling warm and relaxed.

Evelyn had only met Slytherins and Gryffindors on he train, and she was hoping to make friends in the house she had been sorted into - Hufflepuff! Most people were already talking in groups of two or three, and she didn't want to intrude on anyone's conversations. If no one talks to me now, it's fine. I have a whole five years here to get to know people!

"Oh... okay..." Cadence said, looking both relieved and embarrassed at the same time. "Sorry if I'm weird sometimes. It's sort of been a long time since I've been around other people my age, and for some reason you make me kiiiiinda nervous...a little...maybe...." Cadence looked at him and smiled at him genuinely.

Oh Merlin! Why did I just tell him that?

Scipia noticed a girl not engaged in conversation. She looked a bit older but maybe he could strike up a conversation...
"Hellu!" she tried to sound friendly "I'm Scipia. Could i sit with you? I don't really know anyone and..." her voice trailed off...

Arya looked jopfully as Allison sat under the sorting hat, and was broken hearted when it yelled out Ravenclaw."Makes sense though, she loves to learn."Arya smiled at how well she already knew her friend and turned to eat some of the delicious food that sat before her. She had pilled all the food she wanted onto her plate and was about to start eating when she felt something pionty hitting her repeatedly in the head. Fustrated she reached up and ripped what seemed to be a paper airplane out of the air. Curiously, she opened the the airplane and read the note. Most of the note sadened her for she felt the same way, they would have to find a way to spend time together.She smiled at the last part of the message.Looking over Allison did seem to be having fun with another Ravenclaw."Anastasia, Allison says congrats on being in Hufflepuff." Quickly pulling put a piece of parchment she quickly scribbled a message down and folded it into a crane. With a flick of her wrist her wand was in her hand,"Wingardium Leviosa." She led the crane over to Allison as it landed softly on her head.

Tyler shook his head and chuckled. Girls were confusing as ever these days. So maybe he was right. Cadence probably only got nervous around him. It seemed pretty obvious why she did though. But this was a little too fast for Tyler. "Oh, do you know why?" he smirked at her. He knew the reason, but he could always be wrong. Cadence had to be the one that had to admit it first.

Having received the paper crane Allison read it fervently. And with a tinge of sadness that could only be shown on her eyes, Allison smiled and waved at Anastasia and Arya from the Ravenclaw table.

"Um... I don't know..." Cadence said looking at the floor shyly and playing with her hair. She sat in awkward silence for a moment before turning to him and looking him right in the eyes. Overcome with word vomit, she began spilling her guts to the boy she barely knew. "Look, Tyler, I don't really know, and I think that's the truth. The truth is also that I think you're sweet and funny and cute, but I've only known you today, so I can't say that I... I like you or anything like that because I don't know because I barely know you. That's the truth. I just know you make me nervous for some reason, but not in the scary way, just in the I'm so afraid of saying something stupid way...."

She took a deep breath and looked down at the table again. "Tyler, I've been practically locked away for two years. My first year here, my parents died, and my boyfriend was murdered in the library. I went crazy and destroyed the Hufflepuff Common Room completely before passing out in a professor's arms. Or so I'm told. That's just what my grandparents told me when I woke up in St. Mungo's. They kept me there for a year, and then I went to live with my grandparents. I still wasn't allowed out, though, or allowed to know any news about Hogwarts or anything. All I was allowed to do was eat and do school and take ballroom dance lessons, and I had to beg them to allow me to do that."

She looked back up at him with a hint of tears in her eyes. "So, like I said, I don't know why you make me nervous. I just... thought you should know that. That's why I'm supposed to be a fourth year, but am only a third year and stuff...." she trailed off and looked back down at the table. I guess it's good that I just... told him. I'm sure he was going to find out through the grapevine anyway. It's better he finds out this way. At least now if he doesn't want to be friends or anything it's still easy to walk away.

Arya put down her cup of pumpkin juice and watched Allison's reaction to her letter. When Allsion turned to face Arya, her eyes were filled with sadness which made Arya feel sad for her friend. She was lucky to get in the same house with Anastasia but poor Allison was in a house alone. Hopfully she would mke some friends. Arya sent a warm smile back to Allison before turning back to her food.

Jung walked in as he looked around he noticed a empty spot so he sat down and looked around hoping to see someone he new...

As Arya looked around as she ate her food, checking to see if anyone she meet in Diagon Alley was a Hufflepuff. As she took a sip of her drink, she noticed a boy sitting closer to the staff table than she was. She studied the boy with a puzzled expresion. For some reason he seemed familar but she couldn't remember where she meet him, if she had ever meet him. Suddenly she remembered,The funny kid from the Ice Cream Parlor! Grining at the boy she wiggled her fingers under her chin, keeping up there informal greetings.

Another Hufflepuff girl who was sitting alone came and sat next to Evelyn and introduced herself. "Of course you can sit with me. I'd love you to! I'm Evelyn. Evelyn Rochester. Are you a first year, Scipia?"

Nunually looked at Emalyn and made a cute yet funny face, "Well, I am allergic to pineapple and rabbits." she said softly and she made another silly face, "But other than that, I think those are all of them." she said and sighed. As she listened to Ema's story she smiled. "You remind me of mommy!" she said happily "Mommy didn't know I was allergic to it until I was six and my adopted daddy made pumpkin pie for Halloween, because mommy wanted it." she said and giggled. "Mommy often forgets especially when we go to the market, but I still love her and I love you too Ema you and Georgie are really close friends so far my only friends, I haven't asked Esme or Anastasia." she said and gave her the warmerst smile she had. Nunually's tummy began to rumble and she blushed slightly and took some potatoes and chicken as well as brocoli. As she ate the brocoli first she started choking on it and she hit her chest until she swallowed. Then she smiled and attacked her mashed potatoes. As she was eating she thought about what the hat has said. Her parents her real parents had been in Slytherin. "Ema, how is the house of Slytherin?" she asked Ema and Georgie.

Emily looked over at the Hufflepuff table and smiled to herself. Sitting down at a empty part of the table, Emily began to look around at the other Huffies. Most of them she has seen on the train, but she hasnt talked to one at all yet. Being her shy self, Emily waiting til someone spoke to her, before joining in a conversation.

Nunually saw a girl sitting down by herself and she knew how that felt. That was how she had been her whole life in the muggle word. Always alone. She never grew accustom to it and she had hated the feeling. She never ever wanted anyone to feel that. So she headed over to the girl and gave her the warmest smile she had. "Hello I am Nunually C-" she stopped, Nunually remembered what the hat had told her or had called her Cao, Siblings, I have sibling she shook the thought away and continued to smile "Nunually Mustang, or Nana for short." she said

Evelyn turned her head and spotted another young girl sitting alone at the table. She seemed to be waiting for someone to speak to her first, just like Evelyn had been doing. Evelyn wished she had the courage to introduce herself, but all she managed was a smile in the girl's direction.

" Hi, I hope you remember me" Rex told Emalyn. " How are you doing?" Rex asked her. " Well, we survived the train trip" Rex laughed.

" You are a beautiful girl and person" Rex told Kay. " Yes, I am ok" Rex laughed. " I will never feel uneasy with you" Rex said to Kay. Rex fed Kay and hoped she would do the same to him.

" Hello part of " The Magical Five" Rex called out to Georgiana. " I like having you as a close friend" Rex said to Georgiana. Then he tripped over his shoelacxes as he was going back to talk andd sit with Kay.

Before he could do anything about it, there was a hand flapping around in Jake's face, causing him to do a weird, thousand-times-a-second blinking act before he could recover himself. Leaning his head back, Jake saw that the owner of the hand was, in fact, Emalyn.

"Hey," he smiled back, folding his hands on the tabletop, watching Ema prepare her food. He should... really get to doing that. But he couldn't bring himself to eat the first food away from his family since he'd found a real home. Or something sappy like that. "I've buhhh-been... I wwwas ad-ad-adopted in thuuhh-the sssssummer," Jake announced, beaming widely, since it had been the happiest moment of his life.

Wait, what? Different? Did he have, like, a booger?

Picking up a spoon, Jake checked his reflection briefly. Yes, he'd grown four inches and with that, acquired some muscle (which was soon disappearing... due to his laziness towards the end of the summer). His hair had been cut into the usual style but, though the spoon didn't show it, his face had lost SOME of the childlike quality to it. Still he shrugged.

"It wwwwas my buhh-birthday yuhh-yesterday," he announced, again proudly, childishly. "Hhhhow was yuhh-your ssssummer?"

If only the darned stutter would go.

As Jake looked down to the door into the Hall, keeping track of who was coming and going, the boy laid eyes on a familiar girl, and it took him a second to remember her (since he had been under the influence of sugar the last time they'd 'met') but remember her, he did. Returning the greeting by sticking his tongue out, Jake broke the tradition of the weird greetings and leant down the table, speaking loudly since the table was full of chatter. "Hey," the boy called, voice going a little deeper as it usually did the louder he got. "Fuh-fuh-first yyyear then?" Jake had, of course, seen the girl get Sorted. It seemed to make sense.

"I'm Jake."

Laughing, Kay shake her head. "What am I going to do with you in a Potions class. I'll have to make sure nothing spills on you." Kay said holding up a strawberry to Rex. "I hope you like strawberries." Kay said softly and smiling at him wickedly.

Lucille plonked herself down at the hufflepuff table and stared around. Hmm. No one here she knew yet.
She picked up a nearby silver spoon and breathed into, watching as the surface fogged up and slowley cleared again.

Arya giggled at the boys face before taking another sip of his drink. She leaned towards his end of the table when she saw him try to speak to her above the other conversations."Yup"She said this proudly, shaking her head in a childlike way."I'm Arya, what year are you?"Arya wasn't phased by Jake's stuttering, one of best friends used to do the same thing so she was used to it.

Cedric went to the their house table happily then sat down. He was excited for the feast, and then he glanced at the staff table in perusal and he noticed new school staffs and recognized old professors he's know for four fantastic years and he noticed too that some of the old professors was gone, they were replaced he guessed. Ugh. He would definitely miss the old professors like Professor Ashby and Professor Truebridge a lot. He just hoped that the people that replaced their favorite professors is as good as them and as intelligent and skillful as them. Well, he was sure that all of the newly appointed school staffs would do pretty well 'cause they was chosen by Minister Taylor and her standards are really high enough to find some great people that could be their new teacher.

He wondered where Miranda was. He would want to talk to her 'cause he'd missed his friend that had spent some quality time with him at the diagon alley.

Booyah! Jake got it right. Now he felt real smart, oh yes he did. Nothing was stopping him from getting Os in classes and, of course, world domination.

BWAHAHAHA!

But, for now, Jake smiled, nodding his head. Arya... must remember that. Unique name, shouldn't be too hard. "Fffffourth year," he replied, nodding again. At 4'9" he wasn't a typical fourth year... but he'd GROWN!

There was a definite lull in the noise and Jake used it to talk with softer tones. And of course, what else would he talk about but...

"You tuhh-trying out fuhh-fuhhh-fer Quiddddditch?"

It was, of course, just a casual question. Jake didn't know what else COULD be asked.

Estelle sat down at the table and took everything in. She couldn't believe she was finally here and sitting in the great hall, her dad had talk about Hogwarts a lot but she didnt think it was this amazing. Looking down at all the food he just grabbed what was closest to her, there was so much.

Arya thought about his question.Hmmm....Quidditch. According to her brother it was a pretty barbaric sport, and she wasn't one for sports with objects thats soul perpose was to knock her off the only thing that kept her from plummeting to her death. But then again she loved it when her dad took her up on his broom with him. "I don't know....its a pretty violent sport, and I'd like to make through this year unharmed. Sooo I guess we'll have to wait and see." She smirked at Jake, a hit of sarcasm in her voice as she spoke. She would have to think more about Quidditch, she did like to play sports but magical sports she wasn't so sure about."Do you play Quidditch?" Sh eleaned her arm against the table and began to play with her hair.

Violent? Was it really? Hmmm... Jake must have missed that.

Well, he probably had... he always got distracted when playing, something Kaika had warned him about many a time.

"I nuhh-never got hhhuh-hurt," he pointed out. Though unless you counted his first year when he never was able to land. He always got a mouthful of mud. Which didn't taste too pleasant. Or... unless you counted injuries that weren't quidditch related. But they weren't. So it was all good.

He nodded his head, tracing out the grain of the wood on the table as he did. This was another reason to hate the start of term, he'd never know if he'd make it back onto the team. In his position. HIS.

"Yeah... Sssseeker," he added, looking straight at her. Yes, if it was dangerous, he would prefer not to persuade younger kids to get hurt. "So... what ssssubject are yyyou luhh-looking ffforward to?" Jake asked this because... well, he wasn't too sure. He knew that there were staff changes, and one look at the staff table and the head honcho proved he wouldn't look forward to many classes.

Especially since the teacher of his best subject was GONE.

Which reminded him.

Seek out KAZIIIII.

Okay, okay, okay, okay... Okay? Yes, Okay. Okay then... Ugh.
Miranda poked her head between the big doors and peered into the Graet Hall. She wasn't sure she wanted to go inside...Oh, but the chicken looked SOOOO goood! Her stomach rumbled and that was what probably made her decide that it was time to go inside.

But the nerves...She was really nervous about this... Her shiny Captain's badge was fastened on her robe, and she was not sure how her teammates would react to this newly appointed...thing.

Well, only one way to find out.
So she took a deep breath, straightened up and walked inside and headed for the Hufflepuff table. She sat down somewhere and only concentrated on the food... That chickenleg looked DELICIOUS!

That was Kaika's badge.

And that wasn't Kaika.

Jake bit his lip as he stared straight at Miranda, distracted for a moment. He had absolutely NOTHING against Miranda, and he'd expected her to get the badge if she wasn't made prefect. And then if she was then Jake had expected Reid to get it... and he didn't know Reid, so yay.

But... he'd not said goodbye to Kaika. The last time they spoke, Jake had made Kaika cry. Still...

"Miranda," Jake called out, to get her attention. "Th-they mmmmade an ex-ex-excellent choice," he smiled, gesturing towards the badge.

No Kaika this year.

That was just un-called for sadness.

Cedric took a toast, took a bite on it, and started masticating the food. He glanced around, wondering what the others were doing and then Miranda. He'd just seen Miranda. He missed his friend, he hoped he had fun throughout her summer.

He went to Miranda, smiling widely then hugged her for some seconds. "Hey Miranda! How have you been?" asked Cedric enthusiastically and then right there on Miranda's chest, there is a gleaming badge which was pinned up and it says, Hufflepuff Captain.. Wow.. She have been appointed as the new captain. So nice!

"That badge looks great on you!" Cedric chuckled as he playfully ruffled Miranda's hair, messing it up just a little bit. "Congrats!"
