It was all so...big. Eleven year old Gabrielle, or Gabby, turned her head from side to side and then craned her neck back to look up at the ceiling, trying to take it all in. How was she going to find her way around here? She knew that there were older students who could help, but they looked quite intimidating.

Her features scrunched up in thought as she looked back down at the empty plate in front of her. This was supposed to be a feast, but no food?

A few moments passed as she sat in thought, unsure of whether or not she should talk to anyone around her. She usually didn't have trouble doing so, but this was all so new..and quite frankly, unnerving.

A loud voice startled her from her thoughts and she looked towards the high table at the front of the hall. A man was standing, welcoming the students. And then spoke about someone dying. Dying? Someone died? Who? When? Where?

Gabby shifted uncomfortably upon the benches just as food appeared on the table. What had she gotten herself into?

Well, the train ride was quite.. eventful. After screaming at Legend and Cyrus, Katie had managed to find a compartment all to herself, Nova and Waterfall, and did get a little cat-nap in before arriving in Hogsmeade. She was still a bit tired, but awake enough that dealing with the boys wouldn't be anymore troublesome than usual. Sort of.

That was, if she could find them. Did she even really want to, so soon? Hmm, naaah. Let them miss her first. But Orlando- she thought, frowning to herself as she walked across the Great Hall to the Gryffindors table, more familiar with the Lions than her own housemates. He'll be fine, he's probably still with the boys the small girl decided, about to pause and turn around to go back to the Hufflepuff's table when a smaller girl not sitting more than a person away from where she stood caught her dark eyes. She looked.. a bit shy, maybe. Like Danny and Orlando. Or perhaps she was just scared, First year certainly hadn't been her favorite either.

Chewing on the inside of her lip, Kaitlynnh's soft side got the best of her, drawing her toward the little girl that, from what she could see so far, reminded her of her cousin and Lando - but a girl, of course.

Seating herself carefully in the empty spot on one of the young Gryffindor's sides, Katie played with how to introduce herself and decided on the proper but direct way. "Hello. I'm Kaitlynnh Mae, you can call me Katie." Brushing a lock of her dark, wild curls over her shoulder, the small Third year turned slightly in her seat to get a better look at the Gryffie Girl. "You're a Firstie, right? What's your name?"

Reaching for a goblet, Gabby lifted it to her lips for a quick sip. Mm. Pumpkin juice.

As she set the goblet back down, she became aware of a presence at her side before a voice spoke up, introducing herself. Gabby glanced over to find an older girl sitting there. Was she really talking to her? It appeared so, for there wasn't anyone else around them.

"Hi." She said. "Nice to meet you Katie. I'm Gabby, and yes..I'm a first year. What year are you?"

Not as shy as she thought, apparently. Already Katie was underestimating the poor girl; but maybe it was just the boys, would it be so strange they would be more shy than girls? Nope. Not her two younger boys. A small smile appeared on the Hufflepuff's lips, playing there. "Nice to meet you too, Gabby." Though she was sure Gabby must be short for something like Gabriella or Gabrielle, she liked it. It wasn't too girly, it gave.. character. Yeah. "Third. I'm in Hufflepuff," Katie took a brief moment to point over toward the table of gold and black.

This year she wasn't very concerned whether anyone believed the year she was in because over the summer she had actually grown a little bit and could very well pass as one of the smaller Third years; unlike during First or Second year. "But I usually come over here anyway, to sit with my friends. All except two are in Gryffindor; the other is a Hufflepuff like me, and then a Ravenclaw." She explained, giving a light shrug of her shoulders. Part of her wondered if she had met any of her the boys yet, but if she had.. they would probably still be here bothering her. So probably not.

"So how do you like Hogwarts so far?" Katie asked, turning her attention and gaze back onto Gabby.

Lizzie smiled back thoughtfully, lifting her cup too to drink some pumpkin juice. After putting it down she turned to Shaylee again. I'm not really sure. I remember which classes there are, but I can't really tell which one I used to like the most. I think... She thoughtfully studied her hands for a moment. I think I like Charms. And Potions. Yeah I remember that Potions was kinda fun. She looked happy that she had remembered it, and had some more juice. I do like Herbology too though, or at least I like plants.

Gabby's gaze followed Katie's hand as she pointed towards another table in the hall. Hufflepuff..and then there was Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Katie seemed nice enough, and Gabby decided that she liked her. It was nice that she actually had come up and introduced herself.

"Really? I haven't met any other Gryffindors..." She glanced around. "But I think that will change once I start classes."

She turned in her seat to face Katie. "I haven't seen much of it...just mostly this hall. It just seems really big. I wonder how I'll ever find my way. Is it hard?"

That has always been one of Gwen's biggest fears, losing her cat.

"Hey, do you know how to tell if a cat is part kneazle?" she asked. "I met a girl on the train who had a part kneazle cat, and it looked very ordinary. I sometimes wonder if my cat is part kneazle without me knowing." Gwen sat and pondered this. She drank some more pumpkin juice. Putting down her goblet, she stretched her arms above her head, and stifled a loud yawn.

"Ah, great food! I am so full!" she said.

I wanted to try the Engorgio spell, but, like I said before, I was afraid of messing up. But, I guess I can try it now," she said, pulling her wand out from beneath her robes.

She picked up a lingering bread roll, and placed it in front of herself. She pointed her wand at it and said, "Engorgio". It flicker feebly and only became millimeters larger.

"Well, at least it wasn't a complete failure," Gwen said with a shrug. "Lets see that Accio spell now!"

She decided to go for it. She took a look around the table. There were some pudding cups not to far away.

"Accio pudding cup she said, aiming at them. The bowl slid, but gave way half-way to her.

The cups rose for a few seconds but hit the table hard. "Opps".

It is Lucy's second year, but still everything looked so new, she was very excited for this year too as her first year, so she took a seat as always and began to see her favorite dish and drank some juice, she felt a bit lonely so she looked around for her friends to come by.

Roxxy had taken the little sister role with him, and Chris was quite happy about that. He had been looking forward to taking school with his sister this year- but obviously that didn't happen.

"I'm sure it was," he said with a definitive nod. "You know those hats- never able to make up their mind. Some people scream of certain qualities- you are just more complex. And that's never a bad thing," he said with a grin.

"Well, you are the first... and shall make a name for yourself!" he said with a bright smile. "I, however, am going to leave a mark so that my sister can never forget I was here first," he said with a quick wink to Roxxy.

As she asked Alex a question about what else was going on, he turned to hear the response. He was curious as well.

Chris blinked in recognition. Little brother... that made sense. He extended his hand to the younger boy and smiled. "Pleasure to meet you Warren," he said with a nod. However, he extended his left hand because his right was still attached to Alex's left.

He burst out laughing as her eyes widened at the knife. "Don't you trust me?" he asked, turning the laugh into more of an evil chuckle. However, he placed the knife down once more and continued to laugh, his sides reaching a point where it was almost painful. "Juggling as one you said?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "That sounds like something we should try..."

"Psh, carefully isn't my style," he said with a crooked grin. He lifted the fork to his mouth, but once again half of the food fell off. He muttered a few inaudible words under his breath before Alex commented. "Feed me? Woman, I am not some potato!" he said, making a face. He looked down at his stomach and as if on cue, it growled. "Well, I do seem to be wasting away to nothing..." he said after a thought.

"Oh Four Hundred? As in, 4 am?" he asked her, his eyes wide. "You do know that I sleep right?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "Make is four in the afternoon and we have a deal," he replied with a grin. He laughed as she replied to his comment about the tissues. This girl was good- she had the looks and the brains. They could probably go at it for hours- they had on the train after all. "Well, I would only use those tissues to clean up a mess you made- I wouldn't need them myself," he said with a sly grin.

Chris once more brought their hands up to his forehead, but this was more of a dramatic gesture. "Yes, my sweet Alex! How I worry for your sake! You step out of my gaze for 2 minutes- and break a rib!" he began, his eyes wide. But, as she talked of beating him, he brought their hands to her head. "You must have hit your head too... if you think you can beat me!" he said with an evil grin.

He became serious once more and smiled. "Well, I am glad to hear it... just take it easy," he replied. That was something he would tell his sister if she were hurt. He would have to write her a letter soon...

"Doofus?" Chris asked, raising both of his eyebrows. "I'll give you one hint, youngling- its not wise to insult someone you just met," he said, his grin wide. Removing his hand from Alex's for the first time, he took out his wand, and cast a spell that would cause Warren's tongue to go all limp-words would basically be impossible until the spell wore off in a few minutes.

He grinned at the high five, already liking the kid. "Waz it is then," he said with a nod. He shook his head as the boy continued his ridiculous manner of talk. "I thought they only said dude where I'm from," he said, laughing at the word used in their accent.

He looked down and saw them holding hands.. Ooer this looked rather epic he thought. He smirked back at Chris, he kinda reminded him of Geoff abit.. ''Dude, take a hint.. im a JOKER'' and nodded still smirking. This was fun.. Ooo a curse! NO! NO ONE WOULD EVER DO THAT TO WAZ NO! Oh no he didn't.. Waz sat there staring at Chris until the spell wore off.. he tried to speak.. ''Thiiiiiiiiisssssss......aidntttt fwuwnnny!'' Trying to say.. This aint funny.. but obviously couldn't.. Waz sat there arms crossed sending out evils to him.. Yeah he was a cool guy.. though he HATED the curse..
