She let out a little gleeful sound as it slowly started to turn. She tapped it and it stopped, tapped it again and it started again. After trying that out a few times she switched it into the finished pumpkin, tapped it again and watched happily as the coloured light from the bluebell flames coming through clear and red glass, made blue and purple patterns of light around the room.

"ooOOoOoOOOo!" Neptune paused her drawing to appreciate the pretty! "OoooOOo! Pretty! Will it work forever? I can keep it as my nightlight!!!"

"Boys are really good at just taking things." Celandine answered. "Like kisses. They take them without asking even if you don't want." Experience talking.

She eyed the lights thoughtfully.

"Not forever I don't think, since its the first time I've ever combined those spells, but I'll work on them and make the spells more permanent and then show you how and we can patent the spells to us." Cela was just the brains after all, Neptune was the muse.

Neptune Bott was actually really good at just taking things. Whatever she wanted, in fact. Boys had nothing on Neptune. She giggled to herself at the thought. "Boys don't do that to me." Or, they hadn't yet. Hmm.


"A patent? Like... own the spell? You sound just LIKE Ellsworth. Always trying to make new things." Boring, boring, boring. But YAY and stuff! How annoyed would Ellsworth be that Neptune, at 13, OWNED a spell?

Madiison Winloch stirred in her bed with a start.

Why was her body aching like she had wrestled a bear last night?! Like the girl would ever DO something as silly as wrestle a bear. With a LOT of difficulty, the thirteen year old pushed herself into a seated position on her four-poster bed and glanced down at her hands. HUH?! She had cuts and bruises all over her arm. WHAT THE- WHY WAS SHE SO DIRTY!?

Horrified, Miss Winloch reached out for the mirror currently resting on her bedside table, flipped it open and peered back at her own reflection.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGH!!!!111!!111!!1!" The girl let out a loud shriek that could have shaken the castle. Why? Because, staring back at her was a girl who looked much like a certain Madiison Winloch, but could not her her at all because THIS girl had a large bruise on the side of her face, a large cut on another side, twigs and leaves in her disarrayed hair and ... worst of all ... slightly enlarged teeth.

Panic!Confusion took over the girl and, after grabbing a towel to hide her face, she bolted out of the girls dormitory. Nobody. Should. See. This. NOBODY. She had to get to the hospital wing.

Emily walked into the dormitory, her head swimming with the confusion of her family. She had a magical side to her fathers family. Her cousin looked exactly like her except that she had green eyes. Scary green eyes. There was a strange possibility that her cousin COULD be her twin sister. There was a possibility that her grandmother was just a squib. How did her father contact the rest of his family so fast? How had he gotten to her grandmother mansion so fast? Sure her mother said he took a plane, but within a few hours she received a letter from him? None of this made sense, this couldn't all add up.

The idea suddenly hit Emily, she took a scrap piece of parchment from her bedside table and took the phoenix feather quill from her inkwell and scribbled one line onto it, folded it, wrote her fathers name on it, whistled out the window. Within a minute her Family elf owl was at the window and she put it in his beak, but then she took it back, opened it, and signed her name, and read over the question again then sent it off with her owl.
