Girls Dormitory

At the top of the steep steps, high in Ravenclaw Tower your dormitory awaits you. The circular room is lined with beds and trunks, a few owls flutter about the space and several cats chase dustballs on the wooden floor. Books and homework cast throughout the room show just how studious the members of Ravenclaw are. Pull back the sheets and close the curtains because another day of learning lies ahead!


Remember, no boys allowed!

Walking in Anya suddenly realized just how tired she was. Maybe something about seeing cozy, inviting beds with soft pillows that were beckoning to her made this realization come up, but none the less it was this that made Anya quickly find her things and plop down on the bed and sigh.
What a tiring day. She thought, but then...

She quickly sat up scanning the room, there were beds. Plural. BedS. Her mind was suddenly filled with worst-case-scenarios about her bunk-mates.
She shook her head letting those thoughts fade away. They will (more likely than not) be just fine. Then the positive light shone in on her mind. It would be an easy way to make friends...maybe it would not be SO bad....

Stepping into the girls dormitory, Thana nearly let her mouth drop open. What comfy beds! And she was soooo tired... Only then did she notice the other girl lounged on the bed smack in the middle. "Hi, I'm Thana Angevine, I'm a first year too. What's your name?" 'Wow, that must be the third time I've said that today!' she thought

Walking into the dormitory, Nina saw another person lying on the bed. She was pretty tired herself, but too buzzed by the new surroundings to go to bed just yet. "I can not wait to wake up in here. And I love that we have roommates! Then we can stay up and talk and gossip. I think it'd help us form a closer bond. And hopefully we don't dislike any roommates. My muggle sister in college hates her roommates. It's horribly sad." Nina told Thana. She couldn't believe she just gave all that information away. Hopefully Thana is a trustworthy person, but she made a mental note to watch what she says.

"Yeah, I hope so too. Don't worry, my muggle best friend's sister had a problem like that too. But at least I know there's one person I won't hate!" she said, smiling, and hoping Nina would take the joke, unlike a muggle friend who took everything everyone said completely seriously.

Nina smiled. She was glad to have an obvious response that she met her very first witch friend!
"Same here." She said. "Let's take beds next to each other."

Upon hearing the voices Anya looked up and saw two girls (well, obviously) standing there. Since they seem to be talking to each other already She inferred that the introduction was toward her. Very ungracefully she got off the bad and with a failed attempt to straighten herself she did the same,
"Hello!" came the rather flustered reply, "I'm Anya, also a first year. She tucked a stray piece of her hair behind her ear before offering the opposite hand to either one of the girls.

"Hi Anya, I'm Nina." Nina told her as she grasped the girl's hand.
"Excited to be here?" She asked hoping to start a conversation that all three of them could participate in.

"Sure, great!" Thana plopped down on a bed next to the random girl and motioned for Nina to take one next to her. Sighing with pleasure, and a full stomach, she stared at the ceiling. It was a really pretty color of blue...
"Oh, look, our trunks are here!" she observed, pointing at the pile near the corner. "I wonder how that happened?" , Thana said teasingly.
"Oh, hi there Anya! Glad to meet another first year!" Noticing that she seemed slightly nervous and flustered, Thana said,
"It's okay, I know how you feel. That's how everyone feels in their first day here, I bet. I know I do!"

OOC: I can't do much more RPing, I live in the US, Washington DC time, and it's 10:40 so I must go to sleep soon.

Allison walked in on the girl's introducing herself, already learning their names she wasted no time in saying hers and running to see Robin chirping in his cage.

"Twas a dream! Hey yall! Allison Scott at your service," Allison gave a small curtsy.

Kneeling in front of her owl's cage Allison grinned. "Hi there Mr. Robin. Who's the cutest of all? Hee hee hee. We need to go see Arya soon."

"Oh i know!" Anya said shaking hands with Nina, "I went around the castle before i came up here and i found some amazing spots!"

"Oh, but just a fair warning. I tend to fall asleep really early. so if i am just laying on my bed (or anywhere else for that matter) it is a safe bet i am asleep." Anya informed the girls...

"Hi!" Nina exchanged her greeting.
"Is that your owl??" she asked Allison.

"Mmmmm..." Wow. Biiiiig stifled yawn. "Just... so... tired.........." Content with her newfound friends, having had a huge dinner and knowing that lessons would start tommorrow, she stretched out a lot and walked over to her trunk to find a pair of PJs.

"Haha. Good to know." Nina giggled. "I usually go to bed late, and am used to being the last up. But there are all these books around, and so much to do, I'll more than likely be able to occupy myself fine." She smiled.

Another person she didn't know? Waaaay too much for one day. Still, "Hi there. I'm Thana Angevine." Just as she said this, Misty, her misty-grey coloured cat, jumped onto her stomach and started purring. "Not again! Now I'll have to sleep this way- there's no way she's getting off until 5 in the morning, when she'll wake me up by bathing my face with her tongue!"

"No prob with the staying up late thing, Nina. I'm most definitely a night person, so you'll have me to amuse you. Of course, the downside is i can never actually get up in the mornings!"

Nina laughed at this. "Same!" she said. She couldn't believe she had met someone that shared so much in common with herself. Nina went to her trunk, and pulled a pair of pajamas out from the bottom and put them on.

After getting everything finished and snuggling into bed, she said. "Of course, tonight I'll be asleep in less than ten minutes, seeing as I ate a ton. Night Nina! Night Anya! Night Allison!" And, like she had said, within ten minutes she was out like alight.

OOC: No more posting! :( I need sleep in the real world too!

Allison looked at Thane and gave her a small polite smile, "Yes...I heard." Waving her hand in a trivial matter she continued, "You all were introducing yourselves when I walked in. I know Nina here though. Shared some weird moments at the Ravenclaw table."

Opening her owl's cage Robin hopped out and tilted it's head. "Yeppers his name is Robin. My mother bought it for me as a token, being accepted to Hogwarts means a lot to the Scotts." Allison cooed the owl and grabbed a treat from her trunk.

Sighing she stood up and faced all the girls. "I really hope I don't bother you all a lot. I'm a late sleeper." Wincing as Thane said good night Allison nodded, "Good night."

Nyx walked in, noticing that most of the other girls were already either in bed or getting ready for bed. Her owl, Eos, hooted quietly from one corner, next to her trunk. Trying to be as quiet as possible, she put Eos on the table next to the nearest unoccupied bed and then struggled to get her trunk over. Merlin's beard, I'd forgotten how heavy my trunk is. Probably all those books I brought from home, not to mention all the ones we had to buy for our classes....

She managed to get it over to her bed, then opened her trunk and pulled out pajamas. After changing, she pulled out a pouch of Owl Treats and stuck a few in Eos' cage. Then she put that away and pulled out a hardcover novel from her trunk--The Complete Sherlock Holmes--which had been an early birthday gift from her father.

Nyx got into her bed to read a bit before going to sleep.

Yawning and stretching, Thana noticed that no one else was up. She sat up on her bed and looked at the clock on the wall. With a small groan she saw it said 2:30 AM and she fell back asleep.

Bonnie hid under her duvet reading in the dim light of her bad spell. "Lumos!" she spat at the wand and it was like reading in candel light she scowled.

Walking up to the Girl's dorm, Becca realized how nice and inviting those fluffy pillows sounded. Heading over to her usual spot, she took off her shoes and shoved them under her bed. It was so nice to be in this familiar place again. The comfy cushions felt so nice underneath her head and she felt she could have stayed there forver. Then, slowly, her eyes began to close and she covered herself in a blanket, while shifting her curtain so no one would bother her, and fell immediately asleep.

Stretching and yawning hugely, Thana realized that she was she first one up. How strange. After all, it wasn't 2:30 anymore! After getting on some decent robes and brushing her hair thoroughly, Thana walked down to the common room.

Bella walked in the dormitory, feeling sleepy. She felt her eyelids falling as she looked around for her bed. Walking forward she plonked on her foru-poster bed and looked around again, hoping she could make some new friends this year.

After the first feast for hogwarts this year of 2071
 

Bella found the ravenclaw dormatory, always as beautiful as ever. She just loved all the blue and the silk.

"Ah! there it is," she said pointing to her bed she had the year before. She than ran to it and floped onto it. It was nice and warm.

She yawned, "Oh I think i might just fall asleep now, but I need to read another chapter," Bella said pulling out her book.

Ah! The big, beautiful Ravenclaw Girls Dormitory! How she loved this room! Since her mother died, she'd always looked for a place she could call home. This was it!

"Wait! Before you get into your book, Bella, I have something for you!" Choluna searched though her bag and found a beautiful pair of earrings! It had a tiny chain, like a necklace, hanging about 2 cm and tied on the bottom was a beautiful light pink silk ribbon with a real pearl in the middle. "I know you like pink so here! I got the same one for Keeley except it's purple! And I have a hot pink one so we'll be matching! My second cousin makes them and gives them to me for free! Well, that's all! I'll just let you read now! Good night!"

So Choluna searched in her bag, found a thick black book, Twilight by Stephanie Meyers, a classic from over 60 years ago! She got in her old bed, tucked herself in the covers, turned on a reading light, and started to read her book!

Emily walked into the dormitory to find her trunk in front of her bed, but that wasn;t all that was on her bed, her family owl drizen was there, looking rather annoyed at bubbles, emily's kneazle, rubbing her head against him. The poor elf owl had a vented box tied to its leg so Emily untied it and gave him a treat. Emily saw a letter attatched to the box so Emily opened it and read it



Emily opened the box and oput popped a little white nose, and soona long slender white body. Her ferret, karma. Karma had a little blue collar on and in the box were two other colors in pink and orange. There was a small brush and a leash and a feeding dish but also a collapsable perch. Emily set up the perch next to her bed and the nearly blind Albino ferret climbed up onto it.

Katherine walked up to the dormitory...it felt weird to be surrounded by some many girls she didn't know. Quickly she walked over to her trunk and sat on her bed. She looked around and sighed...soon classes would start...she'd have to get sleep but still the excitement. Hogwarts...she thought.

Keeley trudged into the dormitory, almost falling asleep. Her hair had turned blonde and eyes blue somewhere on the way up, and she plopped into her bed with niiice fluffy pillows and cool silky sheets. She was finally a second year!! Pulling on her red nightgown, she took out a quill and parchment and drew a big raven to put up by her bed.

Plopping onto her bed and waiting for Nina to come up, Thana thought about how busy this past month had been, compared to what she usually did- each day a mix of rushing, school, gymnastics, and homework. Misty ran around the room a few times chasing something invisible to human eyes.

Nina walked into the dormintory and quickly, but sleepily changed.
"Goodnight everyone." She said getting into her bed and falling asleep almost immediately.

Thana changed too and got into bed, but read for a few hours with a flashlight (yes she brought a muggle flashlight with her) before falling asleep.

""night" called Katherine back to well....someone she guessed after all she had to be polite if she wanted to make any friends...Opps! She almost forgot! Oh well tomorrow she'd write to Pierre...for now she'd just on her bed until she feel asleep or found someone to speak with.

Thana, still awake and hearing the call of "night!" said, "Hi, I'm Thana, another first year. How's your second night of Hogwarts?"

Katherine looked around wildly until she found the source of the voice. It was a girl with some sort of light device... "um...Okay I guess I'm still nervous mostly about classes? How about you?" asked Katherine turning towards the girl "I mean I was already taught most of this but still...I'm rubbish at social interaction...."

"Oh. I'm really nervous too, I guess it's because I'm new to the whole magic thing." Noticing Katherine staring at her flashlight, she laughed. "It's a flashlight. For muggles who can't just light their wands. I wasn't sure if I would need it, so I brought it anyway."

Katherine giggled "it's alright I can teach you to light your wand" She pulled her wand out of her pillow and pointed it at the flashlight "lumos" Katherine looked at Thana "see it's really easy" though as curious as Katherine was "How was like to get your letter...I mean for a muggle-born it has to be..weird I guess?"

"Lumos. Lumos! Lumos!" Finally, the wand lit up with a blinding light that made her squint. "How do I make it turn off???" Thana asked, in the meantime sticking under the thick bedclothes so the light would be muted. In response to Katherine's earlier question, "It was... interesting to get my letter. At first I thought it was some really elaborate prank, and then a man just appeared in my living room while we were having dinner an hour later. He told me all about being a witch, showed me some more magic, and then gave me my ticket with instructions on how to get on the platform. It must be different for a pure-blood, what happened with you?" she asked curiously.

"Actually I'm a half-blood" said Katherine giggling "to turn it off it's nox" she added when she noticed Thana hiding her wand "father was pretty cold about it...it was a day before he sent me to live with Pierre my godfather" she explained with a sighed "it was pretty normal I guess you grow up with it...mom was a muggle-born though father hated when she spoke of muggle things...so she was always pretty quiet" Katherine took a deep breath " still I miss her...hey wanna see something float?" she quickly changed the subject and after she turned off her own wand pointed it at the light device "wingarduim leviosa" the object hover in the air though Katherine quickly put it down in case a prefect came in.

"Cool! Wait, are we allowed to use magic out of class?" Thana asked, quickly shutting off her wand light with the word "Nox." She normally never broke rules, but there were exceptions... The floating flashlight distracted her for a second, and Misty, her grey cat, began batting at it with her front paws as it floated higher and higher.

"I don't know...but I just guess we aren't...Pierre said he once got detention for dueling" said Katherine nodding " I mean that was just a simple spell....I don't think they'd punish me for a levitating charm though" she put her wand away just in case "still better safe than sorry!"

"Yeah. One of my many mottos. Wow, it's 10:30 already! I should probably go to sleep soon, reading time!" Thana picked up her book again, retrieved her flashlight from Misty's paws, and scratched the cat's stomach absently as she read. The sound of purring filled the room.

OOC: I live in the USA, Washington DC time. It's 12:02 AM, so I need to get some real sleep. No more RP! :(

ooc: it's okay! Night!

Katherine nodded and turned in her own bed. "Night!" she whispered pulling up her covers and trying to get some sleep.

Nyx walked into the first year girls' dorm, surprised to see that her fellow first year Ravenclaws were mostly all asleep already. Whoa, how long was I in the library? Ah well, maybe I can actually get to know everyone tomorrow or something.

She changed her clothes, then pulled out a quill, ink, and some parchment. She sat on her bed, then started writing a letter to her parents, hoping the scratching sound of the quill wouldn't wake anyone.

Dear Mum and Dad,..... she began to write, telling them all about her first (actual) day at Hogwarts, the classes and professors and such.

Nyx wrote steadily, pausing in between to think of what to write. Once she was done, she rolled up the parchment and placed it on the table next to her bed. The quill and ink went back to her bag, and she laid down in bed.

I'll send the letter with Eos in the morning.... she thought before she fell asleep.

"Oh my, they're beautiful," said Bella getting out of bed and walking over to Choluna, taking the earing and gazing at them in her hand. Bella then put the earings into her jewlary box, that was on her night stand, and took out a box from her bag.
"This is to you, Choluna. Its the tiffany metro flower bracelet," said Bella opening the box and handing it to Choluna. Hopefully Choluna wouldn't feel akward about prices- since Bella's Mom knew so many people from the family having to travle because of Mr. Lovegood's job.


Bella then got changed into her pink nightgown and then saw emily with something furry. "Is that your ferret?" Bella asked Emily.

Chelle entered the girls' dormitory, yawning after a long day of running from one place to another. It was great to be back at Hogwarts, and she just loved her cozy bed. She quickly changed into her nightclothes, jumped onto her bed and disappeared under the blanket. Soon, her eyelids shut tight, she started dreaming about the guy again.

Isabella swung her legs over the end of her bed and knelt down next to her trunk. She opened it and pulled out two books and a quill. The top book read 'Bella' in large pink writing with pictures all round it, her diary. The one underneath read one of her favourite books 'Grimms Fairy Tales'. Bella remembered back to the time she had been given the book by her nan, just before she died. Sighing, hugging the book she sat on her bed again, placing her reading book next to her she openedher diary and began to write

Dear Diary....were her first words. She didnt know what to write, her quill tickling her face she thought. And after a few moments thought she carried on.

"YEah it is" Emily said, "my dad just sent her." Emily then put the leash on the ferret and Karma, the ferret, Climbed onto her shoulder. Emily brought him to bella and said "you can pet her if you like"

Isabella finished writing the last line of her diary and shut it with a snap! She secured it with the little bit of magic she did know and safely placed it in her trunk again. Sighing to herself she looked around. Smiling to herself she leant over her bed, picking up her book, and headed towards the door. Stepping out into the common room.

After the first feast for hogwarts 2070
 

Bella though about it. she normaly didn't like ferrets but this one seemed kind of cute. She then out out her hand and began to lightly pet the ferret with 2 fingures.
"Aw, so cute!" she said truthfully.
Bella thought it was sort of funny how everyone had cute pets, except her- for the fact that she didn't have any since her age, yet she managed to always play with everyone elses'.

Bella yawned, " Its getting late. I think I'll go to bed now," she said. Her eyes were drooping.
"It must be something they put in the food, because I normaly can't sleep at night," she giggled.

Waking up, Thana looked at the other sleeping girls and went down to the Great Hall so she could grab a bite to eat.

"Hello?" whispered Choluna. "Hi! I'm sorry to bother you, nut I have a gift for you!" Choluna, still whispering, tiptoed to her bag and grabbed the earrings. Just like Bella's, they had a tiny chain hanging and a silk bow with a real pearl on it, but Keeley's was purple. "Here you are, Keeley! I really enjoyed my gift from New York, so thanks. Sorry for disturbing you! Good Night, Keeley!" So Choluna tiptoed to where Bella was. Apparently, Bella had gotten her something, too!

"Oh it's beautiful!" said Choluna, a little too loud. "Woops, sorry! It's beautiful" said Choluna, now whispering, as she put it on her wrist! It really was beautiful, and it looked even more beautiful with Choluna's baby blue silk nightgown. She looked like a princess! "Thank you, Bella!" Choluna headed back to bed to read her book!

After the first feast for hogwarts 2070 and Next day
 

"ok then," said Bella wile getting into her bed, boy was she tired!
"Goodnight," said Bella to the others.

(morning)

Bella woke up fresh and awake. Boy she felt great! She got up and started to do the basic- brush teath-hair-wash face-change clothes- mascara- chapstick- and bookbag. Oh and don't forget hightops.
She then looked at her friends- still asleep, "I'll see you guys in the Great Hall," she said heading out the girls doorm and into the common Great Hall

Keeley put down her quill, the eagle being done, and gasped at the beauty of her present. "Omi-Oh my gosh. Thanks!" She smiled gratefully, then fell asleep.
The next morning, Keeley got up early, making her hair long and straight and black. And stormy gray eyes, too. She pulled on her normal uniform jacket and tie and a black skirt with white fuzz on the end, and black leggings and boots. She grabbed her bookbag and art supplies, heading out the door for her first day as a second year.

Allison had had an eventful night, and the only solution in her opinion was to get up from the bed and head over to the lake where she really hoped the girls would meet up with her.

Washing her face and brushing her teeth, Allison brushed her hair on the way back to put on her tie and robes. Once wearing that she shined her flats and headed off to the lake. She wanted to see it before she would head off the the Great Hall for breakfast.

Helena entered the dormitory, yawning widely. She was so tired, and she'd eaten so much, she felt full and sort of sloshy. She made her way slowly to her bed, too exhausted to even change into her pajamas, and seconds after her head hit the pillow she was out like a light.

Getting up, Becca felt replenished and reenergised and was ready to go out and enjoy the day. By the sound of the birds chirping, she could tell it was nice outside and decided to take a stroll to the courtyard, so she got dressed and shuffled around for her shoes before realizing that they were under the bed. Dropping to her hands and knees, she felt for her shoes, found them and put them on. Then, Becca went on her merry way to the courtyard.

Emily decided to try and conjure some flowers, just a little practice after the lesson. She got out a vase that was sitting by her bed and she pictured pink lillies with orange accents. "Orchideous" She sais, and a lovely bouquet of about a dozen or so shot from her wand. She placed them in the vase and smiled...

Allison walked in after yet another eventful day. The evening had been long, and although she had hoped and wished History of Magic would be scheduled that day, it hadn't been. What was another day or so to wait? Walking into the girl's dormitory Allison was surprised to notice that Ivory had been sleeping next to her bed all along.

Walking over she observed the tiny girl and gave a small smile. It was always a wonder to her how she missed the most obvious of people. Ivory Erised was a very noticeable girl in Allison's eyes, the fact that she had never seen her before was still mind-boggling. Leaning on Ivory's bed-post, Allison stared. The girl slept peacefully and quietly; to think that earlier the poor girl had fallen and hurt herself along with all of Allison's friends was actually amusing to her.

At the corner of her eye, Allison spotted her mother's butterfly follow her in the dormitories. Giving the insect a small smirk Allison went to her own bed. Removing her Italian flats and robes she simply sat at the edge of her bed and wondered about tomorrow. There was this quick urge to wake Ivory up and discuss all the possibilities in Hogwarts, but her mother's voice in the back of her head screamed that Ivory needed sleep. Thinking that if she stared long enough perhaps Ivory would awake on her own, Allison looked intensely at the little bundle in the covers.

If she stared it wasn't technically waking the girl up after all.

Once again Allison had awoken before the rest and had tip-toed her way around the girl's dormitory. Grabbing her robes and Ravenclaw colored uniform accessories Allison walked over to the large mirror in the room. Dressing quickly she swirled left and right like she had seen older girls do and gave a light sigh. She didn't understand what was the purpose of doing that. It was a long uniform. Uniform. Hello! Uniform. Nothing exciting about that. Except that all her life she had worn muggle clothings, and robes on very special occasions so this was sort of exciting for Allison. But really, the robes had no appeal to her. Shrugging she slipped her long thick tight-wearing feet into her Italian flats and ran her comb through her tangled-night hair.

The day before she had enjoyed looking through the grounds. Also known as getting lost on campus, had tried a bit of fail Spanish reading, and had even won a large mountain for a bump on the back of her head. Today she had great things to look forward to. A large breakfast, and lots of studying to do with Charms. She had very little homework left to do, and that was going to work out just fine. Nodding to her image in the mirror she set off to brush her teeth and descend the stairs for a hearty breakfast.

Not before glancing to see that Ivory was shifting in her sleep, and before noticing her mother's butterfly following her.

Dalanie pushed the door to the girls dorm open, yawning. She needed to sleep but if she didn't read a happy, good book before she went to sleep, she would get nightmares. It could be a sad book to of course and the book she was reading was sad. So she got Romeo and Juliet out of her trunk with the many other books she brought with her. She climbed into bed, thinking about what would happen next in this awesome book she was reading.

D opened to the page she was on and started reading so she could get some sleep.

Oh. My. Dear. Merlin.

Rachel climbed the last few stairs into the girl's dormitories, walked the short distance to her bed and all but collapsed onto the covers, wincing as her book bag made a large noise as it hit the floor.

She was just so TIRED. Man, this seventh year business was no joke - they had a TON of exams, homework to last them a lifetime AND they were also expected to actively helping out younger kids and setting an example.

IMAGINE if she were still Prefect!! How Livvy manages, she'd never know. Speaking of... Rachel groaned and lifted her head just a tad to see if she could spot her best friend somewhere around the room. Nope - head back on the sheets. Ugh, she NEEDED someone to push her out of this bed - this was fourth time this week that she'd collapsed onto the bed like that and the last three times, she'd also fallen asleep.

Which, for the slow and unhygienic folk, is NOT very pleasant since she slept without taking a shower (BLEH) AND she got HUGE neck cramps in the morning; not to mention the fact that her back was sore permanently now.

After all, a spell - just like a featherlight spell - only lasts for so long. Sighing, she groaned into the mattress again, fighting her knackered body to get up.

Jenn hiked up the steps, dragging her overloaded bag, all the while making sure her blue pygmy puff, Rave, was still secure on her shoulder, and not about to fall down onto the floor where Luna, Jenn's black cat, was prancing and skirting around Jenn's legs. To make matters worse, Jenn was also trying to avoid being attacked by her snowy owl Ocean, who was everynow and then nipping at her dangling earings, which would make poor Jenn cry out in surprise and pain, then trip over Luna, making Rave teeter dangerously close to the edge of her small shoulder.

Finally reaching the top of the stairs and shuffling through the doors, she walked carefully through the mess of books, quills, parchment, and the occasional cats that would go up to Luna and sniff before being hissed off by her overly protective cat. Finally reaching her bed she threw her books, then her bag onto the bed. Whistling at her owl, it looked at her, then flew over to her bed post, where it usually sat when watching Jenn. Eyeing Luna, she sat Rave in his little padded cage, then locked it safely so he wouldn't run off...well more like roll off. Then she plopped onto the bed.

Seriously. The whole year had better not be as bad as this otherwise she was NOT going to make it out without at least one broken bone.

Satine began digging in her trunk looking for her favorite pair of neon yellow heels. Triumphantly, she finally pulled out the pair of heels and laid them beside her trunk. She glanced at the outfit she had picked out to wear for the day and decided against wearing yellow. She wasn't in a very yellow mood.

Changing gears, she grabbed a blue based outfit and smiled as checked it out in the mirror. It was perfect except that she didn't have any heels that matched the color perfectly. She glanced at her yellow heels and remembered their most recent lesson in charms.

She grabbed her notes and flipped through them looking for the perfect spell. She found it and then grabbed her other book of simple spells that her aunt had sent her during her first term. She flipped to the page about changing colors.

Satine picked up the yellow heels and place them on top of her trunk. She flicked her wand hand and her wand came shooting out of its holster ready to do business. She glanced at her notes one more time.

With her wand, she tapped the toe of the right yellow heel and said, "Germinio" and smiled as another right yellow heel appeared right next to the original one. She repeated the process on the left yellow heel with ease.

Finally she grabbed the original pair of heels and placed them back on the ground with only the new pair sitting no top of the trunk. She glanced at her book from her aunt and practiced the color changing spell in her head. She concentrated on the blue color of her outfit and with a swish of her wand and tap of the toe, she mumbled the incantation and instantly the new pair of shoes was the perfect blue.

She smiled and placed the shoes on her feet very proud of her new use for the cloning charm.

Dalanie put down her book after reading and tried to go to sleep. She finally did but kept tossing and turning all night. Soon it was morning and she went down to the common room for a while.

Emily burst into the dormitory "HELLO ALL!" she yelled, "OMG i have big news to tell you guys!" emily said, actually using muggle texting speak.

Allison stormed into the dormitory right after receiving her letter from her grandmother and mother. So far Halloween was proving to be a wonderful day. Reaching her bed Allison saw her mother's butterfly lying lonely on her brush and decided to make it more cheerful, "Orchedious!" At that moment two blue roses appeared and the butterfly immediately flew onto one of them. Even though such small spell did very little it made Allison even happier than she had been before.

Carefully placing the box with her costume on her poster bed Allison opened the lid and retrieved the bunny costume. She couldn't wait to hop around the school being extremely silly. Perhaps she could start after the swim in the lake. Thinking it was brilliant idea, Allison took out the books in the box, and returned the costume back inside. Changing from her robes into her one piece black swimsuit, Allison hurried over to the mirror and checked to see if she was set.

To her dismay one of her two Tweety bird earrings was missing. Panicking Allison began to pace. One. Of. Her. Favorite. Earrings. Was. Missing. And the gibberish rant in her head began "ASDASJGFKAHFKASJDLASJDLASJFLASKLDJASL!!!" Pacing Allison recalled she was a witch. A young one perhaps, but a witch nonetheless. Laughing at herself, that in such a situation she'd panic, Allison went back to her bed and grabbed her wand. Taking off the remaining earring Allison pointed at the earring and closed her eyes. She had already practiced this several times with the horrors now surrounding her bed, also known as the crazy murdering unicorns by her bedside.

Imagining the earring in her mind Allison spoke softly but clearly, "Geminio." Peaking with one eye she saw an identical one beside the original. Grinning to herself she placed one on each ear and continued with her preperations.

Towel...check.
Comb for after getting her hair tangled...check.
Flip-flops...check.
Sun screen--even if it was Scotland...check.
Robes to walk from school to lake...check.
Costume in box read to wear once out of lake...SUPER DUPER CHECK!!!1!1!!

Rushing out the dormitory she made her way down what seemed like billions of steps towards the grounds and towards the lake, where she hoped Sabel and Arya already resided. After all she was going to try swimming. They should already be waiting for her knowing that she'd agreed to swim. That is...if she remembered how to swim.

Cela slipped past the door to the third year dorm and stopped when she saw Neptune on the floor with a... pumpkin? Cela was curious and she bounded inside.

"Hi Neptune! What are you doing?" Was she going to carve that? Cela remembered carving pumpkins one time when the Groundskeeper let them carve up their giaaaant pumpkins. Cela knelt down and offered a friendly smile.

Lily entered the round room , the four poster beds with their royal blue curtains never ceased to take her breath away even after a few weeks. She hadn't made many friends in her time and was starting to feel lonely writing to her Irish friends daily, it was nice to receive mail however. She hadn't seen Jude in a while and was wondering what he had been getting up to. As she approached the bed she'd been assigned she swung open her tunk and pulled out a pair of blue denim skinny jeans and an oversized jumper her grandmother had knitted her before she'd left home.
After she changed her clothes she put her robes into the trunk and climbed up onto her bed with her schoolbag to do some homework. Divination was beginning to interest Lily more by the day and her homework didnt take her long. As she finished writing up how the great Harry Potter and Tom Riddle's sun signs reflected their personal traits she lay back with her hands behind her head looking up at the ceiling wishing that someone would want to befriend her soon. She'd made so many mistakes over the last few weeks , initially introducing herself as a first year because this was her first year when in fact she was 14 years old, almost 15.

Cela looked at the carved pumpkin and then at the one that Neptune was getting ready to carve up.

"Do you know the bluebell flames charm? It would be pretty neat to conjure some into a little jar and put it inside. If you changed the colour of the jar, the colour of the light would be different too." Cela suggested, tugging her knees up to her chest and leaning her chin on one.

Cela looked at the cartoon faces clearly not recognising them aside from the fact that they were girl cartoons.

"But Neptune, your father isn't here." Celandine pointed out quietly. "So maybe you could let me help you with that." Cela tipped her head to one side and added, "And it has to be a way that won't like, risk burning down the dorm."

Well.

Of course not permanent since it would be cleared up after halloween but Cela didn't say that, she just smiled at the younger girl. "Nothing permanent." She agreed softly.

Hah. She meant permanent to the PUMPKIN... not an eternal flame.
 

Celandine had to smile and she nodded cheerfully. She withdrew her wand and summoned her potions kit from her own dorm, it flew in and Cela retrieved a couple of flasks that looked the right size. She banished the kit and held up each flask thoughtfully.

"What colours would you like? I think I can make it like a rainbow."

Celandine didn't argue, though she could easily point out situations where a little bit of pink and orange might look nice but it was about what Neptune wanted right? They were her pumpkins.

Cela carefully eyed the flask. The colour of the flame would be blue so.... She coloured the flask in red strips, so that the blue light would look blue through the clear bits and purple through the red bits.

Getting yellow would be harder. Cela could do green alright.

"Would Blue and purple for one and blue and green for the other be okay?" Cela asked.

Celandine let out a sad little sigh at mention of Raiden. Green and Blue. Slytherin and Ravenclaw. Raiden and Plymouth. Boys who she broke.

She coloured parts of the second flask yellow so the blue light would look green and then she put it next to the other one.

She conjured the bluebell flames directly into the flasks and the colours glowed nicely.

"I wonder if I can make it twirl around?" Cela mused out loud.

Celandine was experimenting now, trying to figure out how to make the flask slowly turn around within the pumpkin. She didn't want it to spin fast. She summoned her book and read through it. All the spells she could find were for fast spinning, not slow rotating or twirling.

"You can levitate them in front of you as you walk." Cela suggested.

"What if its a boy you don't want to help you?" Celandine gave Neptune a curious look. She eyed the pumpkins and fit one of the flasks into the one that was already carved.

She had a brain wave and flipped to another part of her book. "...If I combine them..."

After giving away several treats in the Common Room, Allison hopped her way into the Girl's Dormitories to fetch her Charms homework and head towards the library. However upon hopping towards the first year's dorms she over heard girls in other room for older students. Opening each door Allison flicked her wand and candies were given to every girl. After all, the family muggle chocolates and the magical candy from the wizarding world that her mum had sent her were in vast amounts. Certainly Allison wouldn't finish them alone. Unless she really tried, that is. Giving curtsies to those who said thank you Allison continued to hop in her costume her mother and Bunny had made her.

Feeling merrier than usual Allison waved at a few people she knew and made her way towards the first year room. Once entering she collected more candy and chocolates, picked up her satchel with her homework and headed towards the library.

Becca quickly ran up the stairs to her bed. Finding a different outfit after rumaging around in her trunk for a few minutes, she slipped out of the now soaking wet pair and into a new duo. Then, she quickly ran down again to get back to Cesar and Slicks and Jacklyn.

Keeley walked into the second year dormatory and flopped onto her bed, bored. Soo bored. She stared at the sketches and watercolors and what-not that had been hung all over her wall and ceiling, definately a blast of color on the pale blue walls. She pulled out her pad and put on a blue and silver fedora hat, drawing a large sailing ship, like in the Little Mermaid.

Humming her favourite song, Chelle skipped inside the ravenclaw girls' dormitory. She was in a good mood tonight, and didn't want to spoil it because of anything. She changed into her PJs, tucked herself inside her blanket and went to sleep, thinking about sweet fairytales.

Emily, all patched up, walked into the common room and sighed. "Another ear, another broken arm!" Emily said. WHERE WERE HER FRIENDS????? Emily hadn't seen them since Flying class...

"Some of them expect... things in return when they help you." Cela pointed out, moving her wand in a complicated looking spiral pattern, her expression intent on the coloured flask in front of her.

She let out a little gleeful sound as it slowly started to turn. She tapped it and it stopped, tapped it again and it started again. After trying that out a few times she switched it into the finished pumpkin, tapped it again and watched happily as the coloured light from the bluebell flames coming through clear and red glass, made blue and purple patterns of light around the room.

"For you, Neptune!" Cela smiled at the younger girl and got started on charming up the other flask.

Dalanie ran into the dormitory like she did down in the common room to get what she wanted. Careful not to hit anyone, she ran to her bed and threw open her trunk lid. After digging in her trunk for 30 seconds, she found her football and guitar. She didn't have time to explain why she had a football, she just had to get to the lake! So she held it like a player would and ran to the common room to leave.
