A passage that couldn't be seen before the flood is now perfectly visible to all. The headmaster has repaired it so that it no longer goes very far. Don't get caught smooching down here (I hear the Slytherin prefects are rather strict

"I kind of thought that." Chris said simply to Lena. He stand there in quiet for a little bit until a thought came across his mind that he had thought before but never asked. "Lena I know you lost both your parents and grandparents and you told me about your uncle. But you don't have anyother family besides that?" He asked her. "I know it's random but I just wondering and if you don't want to answer you don't have to I don't want it to feel like you have to." He told her quickly.

Lena was fine standing quietly there with Chris, but she didn't mind the silence being broken.... even if it was with quite a different topic. No, it's perfectly okay, she said with a tiny smile, not that it was a great topic, but she wanted Chris to know that it really was alright that he was asking. I don't have any other family that I know of, though I suppose I could.... we were always a small family. She shrugged slightly and looked back at him; she felt like she had a family now....

Though Lena said it was fine and gave him a small smile he just felt like maybe it wasn't great to be asking. But he had the right to know this now right??? Chris looked down at her to find she was looking at him and smiled slightly but it quickly faded as he nodded. "Do you ever wish you did? I know you weren't so close to your parents. But I just couldn't think of not having a family." He said trailing off at the end. He sort of felt bad he had a lot of his family left.

Lena shrugged slightly again; she really didn't want Chris to be feeling bad about this - it wasn't his fault, after all. Sometimes, I guess, but that's what I have friends for.... her words trailed off as her eyes found his once more and she had to hold back the urge to kiss him once more. Something about being with Chris made her so passionate about everything....

"I guess you are right. That's why friends were invented." Chris said laughing lightly. "Ummm I guess I should I warned you about his before if you haven't figured it out I tend to ask a lot of questions. And if it ever starts to bug you please let me know. Or if I am to sarcastic." He told her smiling. He found her looking into his eyes still. He wanted to kiss her sooo bad but sighhhhhh he couldn't. "Do you want to kiss me as much as I want to kiss you right now?" He asked trying to lightly up the mood and chuckled. It just felt like were one of the moments they should kiss.....but they couldn't sadly.

Lena laughed; she loved Chris's sense of humor.... even after what had happened that night, things were still the same and she didn't want it any other way. It's perfectly fine, she said with a light laugh, Don't ever change because I love you just how you are. She smiled widely at him before it hit her what she had actually said and the smile seemed to drain from her face.... no no no no! Gah! No! She didn't want to say that! Not that she didn't feel that way about Chris, but.... ahhh!!!! Noooo!!!

Chris laughed with Lena and was about to answer her comment when he heard that sentence from Lena. Oh no. He looked at her. He didn't freak out or anythng he had been through this one before as well. He knew what she probably wanted to hear at that moment but he could say those words not yet anyways..."Lena." He started slowly. "Don't feel bad alright. I have been were you are right now. And I don't want you to feel bad about this. I just right now can't tell you the same it's to soon. But I do care about you a lot more than you will ever know." He told her and gulped quietly at the end.

Grrrrah! She didn't even want to say that! That wasn't what she meant! It wasn't what she had meant at Christmas last year and Lena was still pretty sure that it had not escalated to love even thus far, just..... ahhh! Lena was shaking her head before Chris was done. No. No, no, no, Chris that's not what I meant, Lena said, backing out of his arms slightly. She was digging herself into suuuuch a big hole right then....

Chris felt Lena break out of his arms. "Wooow easy Lena." He said to her. "I get it you didn't mean it in the context of you love me just that you care deeply about me. I think." He said taking a deep breath still trying to figure this out. "It's okay really I do understand." He told her nodding. He understood it sort of slipped out. She probably couldn't have picked her words better but he wasn't upset or something.

Lena was almost backed against the other wall when she stopped to take a deep breath and actually listen to what Chris was saying. She was still shaking her head slightly, but she didn't move any further away. I just meant... you don't have to worry about me getting annoyed or anything because if I didn't like you how you are, we wouldn't be talking about it. Lena shook her head anymore. That kind of made sense... a little.

Chris nodded as he watched her back away from him, he had misinterpreted what Lena was trying to tell him but it made sense now. "That makes sense." He only said that. He looked at her now she was far away from him on the other wall. He wanted to sigh but he held it why was it everytime everything was going right something came by and messed it up again. Though he wasn't mad at Lena he couldn't ever be mad at her.

Lena looked back up at Chris as he spoke and she nodded slightly. I'm sorry, she said hesitantly after a moment before walking the short distance to him back slowly and hugging him once more; leave it to her to go and mess things up just when they were perfect. Pfffft. Great.

Chris shook his head when Lena said she was sorry. But then she was once again hugging him. He hugged her back for a bit but pulled his arms away from her just to look at her. He took her face into his hands. "There is no need to be sorry. You have done nothing wrong." He told her with a small smile.

Lena looked at Chris as he pulled back from her, his image the only thing swimming in her dark green eyes. When he spoke, though, she sighed and looked down from his gaze without moving her head from his gentle grip. I know that.... but nothing I ever say comes out right, she mumbled without looking back at him.

Chris looked as Lena turned from him he still had her head in his hands. He also let out a low sigh,let go of her and took her hand. "But Lena this is still all new for you right? And besides what has come out worng because to me you are perfect." He told her with a half smile.

Lena looked back at him as he let go of her and took her hand instead. She nodded very slightly at his question, but then she smiled at his words... I guess you like imperfection then, she said with a light chuckle; there was no way she could stay upset when he was looking at her like that...

Chris laughed and nodded. "I do. I like all of your imperfections very much. That's what makes you different from anybody else. All those little corky things that I enjoy like your eyes. I love to watch them change color." He told her honestly and smiled wide to her. Hehee he loved how he could just lighten her mood in a matter of seconds he was just gifted that way....

Lena smiled at this, but then a thought came to her; anytime she'd looked in the mirror lately.... But then.... they haven't been changing at all the past few weeks have they? she asked with a slight frown, though it only remained slight, as he was smiling far too wide to go any further. Ahhh...

Chris thought for a moment and then looked into her green eyes. "Well no they have almost always been green now. Except for today they turned slightly purple for a little bit. But besides that no." He told Lena as he watched that frown. Awwww why was she upset? But it didn't last long which made Chris all happy again.

Hmmmm.... theory was correct. That was.... odd. Okay, Lena said slowly. Then, upon realizing how Chris was watching her, she quickly smiled and pulled herself back into him once more, her arms wrapped around him tight. It was getting late.... but she didn't want to go at all. Even more so now then before.

Chris felt Lena hugging him once again. "What's going on is everything alright?" He asked slightly worried. Was it normal for them not to be changing colors? He didn't know. He hugged her back once more. "You should probably be heading back into your common room soon." He said still hugging her.

Oh, great. Now Chris was worrying about her again. Sigh. Yeah, everything's fine, Lena said with a small, reassuring smile that he couldn't see as her arms remained around him. When he mentioned heading back to the common room, she bit back a sigh, even though she knew it was true. Soon, she finally agreed after a few moments.

Sure it was...Chris wasn't so sure if Lena was really fine because what happens if she wasn't? He wanted to help her if he could that is. "Are you sure?" He asked her. "It's not that I don't believe you it's just are you sure?" He asked again not knowing how to form anyother question. All he could hope was she would tell him now. And if not then there wasn't much he could do.

Lena smiled; it was almost too flattering how much Chris was worried about her. She nodded, still tight against him, and pulled back from him to give him the small smile she'd been meaning to. I'm sure, she said, the corner of her mouth pulling up more the longer she looked at Chris. She stood up briefly on her tiptoes and kissed him lightly on the cheek. She didn't need him worrying about her when she was simply thinking.

"Alright then." Chris said rasing an eyebrow though she could not see it because they were still hugging each other. Yet when she pulled back and kissed his cheek and nodded to Lena. "Okay I believe you and I promise not to worry if you say there is no need to." He said. He sighed thinking about out she should be leaving soon how they both should. He wished they were still in the same common room. But oh well. He took her cheek into his hand and stroked in softly.
