Gummy worms?! First it was ... delicious pastry and now the professor was giving them gummy works. Transfiguration kicked butt. But why oh why did he have a feeling that they weren't going to eat the gummy worms at first? Bleh they were gonna play magic with it. Danggggg. Oh well, magic was always fun right? He took out his wand and then put it in front of him. Hehe. His wand was a bit of a green because of that wand color changing kit he had gotten from Ollivanders' and it looked as though it had been recently polished. On the wand was the word 'Hershey' engraved on it. Yes, he had asked Ollivanders' to engrave that on there for several reasons. He poked the gummy worm with his wand. Ooooooh. Did he just hear they could have even much more after? YAY. That just totally motivated him. "Evaneesco. Evan at the escolator." Haha. "Evanescolator." Mwahahahaha. "Evanesco," he repeated again. |
Ryder looked at the snail in front of him that Sarah had handed out. He set his wand down on his desk when the Professor has said to practice the incantation without wands first. Taking a deep breath, he said, "Evanesco" |
After giving out the mice, Vanessa Corbette returned to her seat, carrying a mouse for herself with her. Sitting down, she placed the mouse down on her desk, eyeing it. She didn't really want it to run off or something. Hmm. She didn't like Mice. She looked up at the Professor when he began speaking, and she eyed her wand that was on the desk. Not needed yet. "'Evanesco" She spoke, once the professor had indicated for them to say it. She smiled, as she though she had pronounced it very well. That was good. |
Yay! Finally the would be vanishing their things! That creepy little snail was slowly, very slowly, very very very slowly making its way towards her hand. It had even already moved about half an inch in the last five minutes. Eep! That was a quick one. With one eye still on the snail, maybe she would call her Speedy, so with one eye still on Speedy Nancy inhaled deeply before saying along with everybody else, "Evanesco." Wow, that hadn't even sounded that bad. Maybe they should start a choir or something. |
Returning quickly to his seat, Raiden stared at the gummy worm he'd placed on his own desk. Vanishing things seemed like... really challenging. Even if it was just a gummy worm. Shrugging the feeling off, his eyes moved back to the professor. Eeep practicing. He had to remember to say it like Nicholai had taught him. Say it like you really mean it. "Evanesco," he said, making sure to get each syllable just right. Ev. an. ess. co. They repeated in his head. Well, he could say the incantation right, at the very least. The gummy worm had that working in its favour. |
Awww, darn. Eating the gummy worms were out of the question apparently. Whoa, wait...the young ones got more gummy worms once they vanished the first one?!? Oh, to be a first year again! Did that meant Anna would get another mouse as soon as she vanished this one? She wanted candy...gummy worms, chocolate frogs, anything really. Sighing, she opened her mouth and said, "Evanesco!" Hmm...that sounded easy enough. Maybe she should say it a few more times for good measure. "Evanesco!" |
"Evanesco!" Laura said, without her wand in hand. Looking up at the professor to make sure she had said it right, Laura then picked up her wand and looked around the class. |
Ricco was happy when he finally received his animal, instead of a snail he received a mouse , instead of giving it back he decided to keep it, but when it started to sprint along his table he made a grab for it, holding it by its tail, "Dont think so little guy" he said as he dragged it into the center of the table, then pointing his wand at the little guy he said "Evanesco". He wasnt sure if he said it right but to him it sounded right compared to the rest of the class. |
Kevin got out his wand and said "Evanesco" Kevin watched as his gummy worm vanished in front of him |

Giving it a poke with her wand she smiled.Shame we can't eat it. Placing her wand back down on the desk she took heed of the Professors instructions and began trying to say the incantation. "Evanesco.Evanesco" I think that's right.I'm sure I'll be told if it isn't. |
Having that mouse on her desk was very distracting. Willow wanted to poke it with the tip of her wand. Poke, poke, poke. Could she? Would she get in trouble if she did it? Hmmm. "Evanesco," she repeated lazily, at the same time everyone did. |
Trixie had finally recieved her gummy worm. Her stomache grumbled and she moaned. She sohuld have quickly grabbed something to eat. She did't even want to think about eating the gummy worm. "Evanesco," said Trixie to herself. Well at least she could pronounce it. She fingered her wand, she wanted to use it but waited til instructed to do so. She repeated the spell a few times without the wand to get used to the saying. She now thought she was ready to use a wand. |
Ahhhh, they couldn't eat 'em? Well, Jake's gummy worm was looking a little... damaged. There was no doubt that this was in fact an adult gummy worm, as it was quite long. Long enough... to afford to lose some of it's length. "Oops," Jake muttered, as he pulled the head from the sugar animal and popped it in his mouth. "I couldn't stop it... it was crazy!" he intoned, before picking up the worm and tugging it at both ends, savagely. A quick glance up to the from of the class, and Jake awoke from his frenzy. "Evanesco," he repeated, and his hands, which had still been tugging, suddenly sprang apart. Wandless magic?! NUWAII! Oh wait, he'd pulled it in half. ... ... "I was just... it's... just in case I mess it up," Jake tried, setting both halves down on the table and giving a toothy SWEET grin. |
Mice? Clifford woulda rathered the gummy worms. One: Because they were probably easier to vanish being all... gummy - and Two: Because well.. you could EAT THEM. Oh, and Three: Because his mouse wanted to escape! "Evan - Evaaaan -" AAAHH!! Stoopid mouse! Clifford scrambled from his seat when the little bugger took a flying leap off his desk. Crawling on all fours, the Head Boy chased the critter under several of his classmates desks. ACK! "EvanesIGOTCHA!" Grinning, Clifford trapped the mousey in his big hands and crawled out from under Willow Kovac's desk. Ew. |
Excellent. They could all pronounce the word right, at least. Lars rolled up his sleeves and picked up his wand. It was time to teach the wand movement for the spell. Professor Svensson's eyes swept the room, as though he were trying to spot someone who was not paying attention. He did not see anyone who was daydreaming or anything, so that was good. Oh, but Clifford Carden was having some mouse trouble. Lars stared as the seventh year chased the mouse across the room. Poor mouse. Poor boy. They clearly were not getting along, but Clifford seemed to have his mouse under control now. "Now for the wand motion. It's really quite simple," Lars Svensson stated. He held his wand in the air and prepared to demonstrate. "Watch closely, now." With a small flick of his wrist, Lars flicked his wand in a tight circle. He paused, then repeated the motion to ensure that everyone could see. "Now you try. Just flick your wand in a small circle, directed at whatever it is you want to vanish. Everybody try the wand movement, and then we'll move on to putting it all together and actually vanishing something. |
Chris got a mouse. Great a mouse. He picked it up but then saw the younger students get gummy worms! No fair! Why didn't they get gummy worms? He sat there and looked at the mouse. He put it down but kept pne hand over the mouse he took out his wand and said "Evanesco" Umm not to hard. He then watched the motion of the wand. Not hard. A flick of the wrist then flick your wand in a small circle. Ok Chris did copied him. |
A mouse! Aha, they were adorable. ...although a fleeting glance at the rest of his classmates' facial expressions gave away that they thought the mice were anything but. 'Eh, Jimbob, I'mma call you Jimbob, mmkay?' The mouse twitched his whiskers up at him, seemingly agreeing with him. Good. It was a pity really that they were having to vanish the cute critters. Sigh. Drawing his wand out from under his desk, Terry muttered quietly to himself, 'Evanescooooooo.' Hrrm, easy enough? Then the hand movement. He flicked his wrist in a small, tight circle. Heyyyy, that was pretty relaxing! Dropping his wand down, he carried away flicking his wrist in circles as he waited for their next instructions. |
Chris smiled Professor Svensson was pretty cool, he could tell he would love this class. He flicked his wand as he was instructed and practiced over and over as the Professor moved throught the classroom watching. |
Rydr picked his wand back up after he had gotten the incantation right. He watched as the Professor showed them the wand movement. And then, imitating what he had just done, Ryder practiced the movement a few times, making sure he got the flick and tight circle right. |

Ari almost laughed out loud. Almost. She knew he was showing the wand movement to the class to they--snicker--so they could see it. Fortunately, her old school had already taught her the movement, and they had moved her wrist the first time. Ari pulled her wand out of an inner pocket and repeated the motion a few times, just to remember it. |

Flicking her wrist just as she'd seen the professor do, Anna moved her wand in a tight circle. That would be the point where, if she were actually performing the spell, her little mouse would hopefully disappear. Raising her wand in the air once again, Anna practiced a little longer. Flick of wrist... Wand in tight circle... ...got it. Seeing her mouse attempt another quick getaway, Anna scooped it up and held it gently in her hands once again. Geez, these little creatures had some spunk! If they didn't vanish them soon, they'd all be chasing them up and down the corridors. |
Cam looked at the others first just to see the wand movement again. Flicking? He liked flicking--but in a different way. It was weeeird how almost every spell involved flicking or swishing. Was there ever a combination of a loop-de-loop, formation of an X, and then a stab to the object, then ending with a formation of a squaaare? Hmm maybe but he wasn't so sure. He poked the tip of his wand and then started doing the movements. Bleh. Wait was it a circle or a square? He looked back at everyone and did as they did. Well, it was a circle. There was never an octagon was there? But he decided to focus on that later and kept making the wand movements over and over. |
Oh my! It was getting closer. And closer. It was going to reach her soon! Aaaah!! Well, it was probably going to reach her in about three years from now but still it was fast. Very fast. Resting her chin on the end of the table to be able to look Speedy straight in the eye Nancy glared at it trying to tell him to stop approaching her. It was freaking her out. It's fastness was just unbelievable. It had moved a full inch into her direction already. Only very reluctantly redirecting her gaze at Professor Svensson again Nancy watched him perform the correct wand movement before repeating it herself with her own wand. Okay, that wasn't that difficult no was it? You just had to say the incantation right and make a little circle with your wand and then Poof! Speedy would disappear. Hehe... Nancy looked at the snail again with a rather smug smile on her lips and whispered, "See? I'll let you vanish just like that." Then with a start she realized what she had just done. Was she seriously talking to a snail?! Hopefully nobody had seen her little interaction with Speedy. |
Okay, that wand movement looked cool. Jake checked his wand was the right way round again and then flicked it around in a circle. And then his grip slipped. "Eep!" Jake cried, reaching out to catch it, only for it to slip again. Over and over that process went, until Jake was stood up and nearly crawling halfway across the desk next to him. But the wand had flown the coup. Probably the bit of Snidget in its core. Immediately sitting down, Jake twiddled his thumbs and whistled, trying to act natural He'd get the wand later... if it didn't hit someone. HINT, HINT! |
Tight circle with the wand, tight circle with the wand. Sarah repeated it in her head as she picked up her wand.Putting her hand out in front of her she did as they were instructed....over and over again. Yep she was determind to get it right, after all half a gummyworm was no fun at all! |
