Shaylee gave Lizzie a hug and said, You'll find another guy Liz. Dont worry, and plus, you always got us! She smiled at her friend felling bad for her.

Lizzie turned to Shay, knowing her friend meant well, but with a little irony in her voice she said Oh, find a new guy..? Right, that's exactly what I want right now, someone else who can break my heart. Act just like Chris and get a new one after just one day.. saying this small tears appeared in her eyes as she thought of Paris, and what Marcus and Theo had told her about Chris and Paris dating and kissing and god knows what... And she hugged Shaylee back, whispering Sorry Shay, I didn't mean to say it like that sweetie. It's just, I feel so useless.. Like an old toothbrush that's been exchanged.

Shumeeta entered the girls’ dorm and walked over to her four-poster. There was sleep in her eyes but there was also a hint of excitement: roughly a week ago, she had done something special and now she wanted to see its results.

The lights were switched on and in front of her bedside table stood a potted plant. The plant was thriving in its muddy red colour pot, and Shumeeta beamed at it when she saw it. Excellent! One of her friends had given her the potted plant in a nearly dead condition and claimed that it would not get any better, so bad was its state. And about six days ago, she had decided to try something they had been taught in class and guess what? She had carved the fehu rune on the bottom of the plant's pot!

The rune had clearly had its effect. Nourishment and wealth – wealth of good things she guessed - wasn't that its meaning? Shumeeta smiled to herself as, having given the plant some water, she climbed into her four-poster and readied herself for sleep, quite glad with the way the plan had progressed thanks to the rune.

"Yes, I really wonder what caused this much flood..." Grace said again, like tenth time. "No, I wouldn't want that either! He's a good wizard, I think he got out easily." She hoped he got out easily.

Lyra entered the dormitory reading a book which she held in one hand and her school bag hung loose over her left shoulder. Not looking where she walked and somehow managed to find her bed without walking in to things. Lyra placed her bag next to the bed and sat down on it. Marking her page, he closed the book and looked around. 'oh Grace is here too!' she thought but then saw she was talking to another girl and decided to not interrupt them, she didn't want to be rude or anything. Sighing a bit, she grabbed her book again and started reading.

"Aww sweetie, don't think that way." she hugged Lizzie. "Besides you're way cooler then an old toothbrush." she smiled. She thought over what Lizzie said. "Wait a minute, what did you say about Chris having a new one after just one day??" she asked. "Is Chris dating someone else?? Did he cheat on you!?!?" Dem shoved a peice of candy in her mouth to keep from saying something else. She couldn't imagine Chris doing something like that. That definatly wasn't like him.

Lizzie smiled at Dem. Thanks hun she said. I'm glad to hear I'm better than a toothbrush. But well... She didn't know how to put it, and hesitated. She didn't wanna sound like she blamed too much on Chris, but then again... he was the one who'd broken up with her. You know the Slytherin Quiddich Captain, Paris? She's a prefect too I think.. or I dunno, whatever.. Lizzie babbled like always, but not as cheerful as usual. Well they started dating within 24 hours after Chris broke up with me she said in a sad voice. It felt so completely unfair. I heard the news from Marcus, because I haven't spoken to Chris since.. she swallowed. Well I guess he started liking her really fast, since it only took hours for him. Unless he was cheating on me, but I really hope not she said, looking fagile and sad as she foldered her arms around her legs.

Demetria's eyes grew wide. "He did WHAT!?" she screamed. She covered her hand with her mouth when she realized how loud she was. "I can't believe him! That foul loathsome evil little cockroach!" she whispered. "I know he's my cousin and I'm suppossed to love him and all but really? That's just mean." she frowned. How could he do that to her? "Boys are stupid." she crossed her arms over her chest. A little voice in her head whispered to her, Except Dagobert. she covered her ears, hoping it would make it shut up. She pulled her hands away when she realized how dumb she looked. Actually, after she thought about it, she hadn't seen Dagobert since they were in the Great Hall with Natasha. "Yup, boys are stupid." she nodded her head.

Lizzie leaned backwards slightly as a reaction to Dem's screaming. Then a smile appeared on her face at the description of how terrible Chris was. If I was him I'd look out for angry cousins right now she smiled. But you're right, boys are truly stupid she added with a sigh. I don't understand how he could never have time to see me, and all of a sudden he has all the time in the world for Paris. She frowned. We never went to Madame Puddifoot's at all, and mostly that was because he was always so busy with duties and homework.. But Marcus told me he saw the two of them in there just days after the breakup. She turned to her friends to hear what they thought of this.

"I am not sure but i hope that they can find out soon. i don't know how much the school can handle before it collapses." lilly said with a sudder. what would happen if the school did collapse? where would they go to school? these are such worrying things.

Sarah walked in, and chucked herself on her bed. She was unhappy, fifth year and no friends. She used to be a stuck up,spoiled brat but the death of her mother had shook her. Now, she curled on her bed, and let her 3 owls out. First, Midnight came soaring out, his long black wings stretched. Next out was Snowball, her white fluffy feathers sleek and smooth. And finally, came out a little grey fluff ball that was the child of Snowball and Midnight. As dusty flew out he fell into her palm and she threw him back up and she and him watched Snowball and Midnight go hunting. She sighed, and started making ribbons coming out of her wand and making the disappear. Then, out of pure boredom, she changed her suitcase into a cat and watched it wander round the room.

Chalice ran up the stairs as fast as she possibly could. "Lala!! Dem!! Shay!! Loveys!! I missed you soo much!" she said as she threw her arms around two of her very best friends. "I'm so happy to be back, and I'm not leaving again!" she said as she began to cry tears of bliss.

Collapse? The school could actually collapse?! Grace had never thought that... Jeez! "Really? Can the school collapse?" she asked with a shudder. Noo! They were the best school and all... And it was magical, right? "I mean with all that charms and spells..." She trailed off with a creased forehead, worrying like Lilly.

Lizzie's eyes widened in shock as CHALICE suddenly entered the scene. The return of one of her besties, along with the breakup and Paris dating Chris, and the talk she'd had with Chris, and everything.. she just bursted into tears right where she was standing. This was too much. She hugged her friend while she sobbed, wanting to stop but not being able to.

"well i suppose no matter how much magic you put on something there is still the chance for nature to intervene; however the magic should prevent it for enough time for them to figure out what is wrong and to fix it." Lilly said trying to calm her down. "i didn't mean to worry you it was just a theory that i had...sorry."

Dem looked around to see Chalice running toward them. At first, she thought it was another one of the spirit things, until Chalice wrapped her arms around Dem. "Chalice!!!" she squealed. Dem hugged her with all of her might. "I missed you, lovey!"

A Little startled, Shaylee said, I..I just meant, you know. She didn't want to hurt Lizzie. But as Liz hugged her back, she said, It's ohkay. She sat and Listend to her friends for a while until she saw Chalice walk through the dorm doors. CHALICE! She said jumping off the bed and running to her friend. But before she could get there, she tripped and fell on her butt. She laughed at herself and then got up and gave Cha a hug.

As the four of them were finally together again, Lizzie stepped back for a second to look at them all. Oh girls I'm so glad I've got the three of you she said with tears in her eyes but a wide smile on her face. It's good you're back Chalice she added towards the newly arrived girl. Thank you for those nice presents!

"I missed you guys too! I'm sooo happy to be back!" Cha sobbed. "Not a problem, my aunt in France helped me make them." she giggled, it was just like Lala to thank her at a time like this. "What did I miss? You MUST tell me everything!"

Lizzie smiled back at Chalice. The first thing she thought of when Chalice asked for the news was of course Chris and Paris, but she couldn't feel sad now. It was impossible to not be happy when Chalice was finally back!

You should see the lower floors sweetie.. They're all flooded and that's why the Slytherins are staying with us for now. Jippie she said with rolling eyes. She then winked a bit and added And love seems to be filling the air because a lot of people are dating.. Not me though anymore. She gave Chalice a typical "sigh-look" and added Chris broke up with me to date Paris Greenwood.

Nikita slowly moved up the stairs to the girls dorms. Gryffindor's were cool and all that, but living with them...Nikita shuddered. Even after all this time, she still wasn't used to it.

Finding her bed, Nikita noticed that Flame seemed to have the same idea. There was a lump under the neatly made red (shudder) sheets, the only sign of her tiny cat.

Sitting down on her bed carefully, Nikita drew the curtains closed. She hated red. Red meant heat and fire and death. Green was cool and calming and healing. Nikita burrowed under the blankets, found Flame, and curled up around him for a nap. Her warm flame necklace was clutched in her hands the entire time.

Again, Grace shouldn't trust to magic this much. Here she was hearing from someone else too that it was breakable, just like their precious ceiling. "You sure they have enough time?" she asked, still worried. "And no, it's OK... Just... I don't want the castle to go down, you see..." It wasn't OK until she heard it from a professor but no need to say this loudly, right?

"Oh, that explains it." Chalice said. "Well the more the merrier." she said happily. "Lizzie Evans! You be nice, I have Slytherin friends. Just because they aren't in our house doesn't mean they aren't nice people." she scolded quietly and softly. "As if! I'm going to have to talk some sense back into that boy." Chalice said shaking her head. "Don't feel bad lovey, I'm a third year and I STILL haven't dated since I've been here. Well not since Joel died." she said. "I'm thinking a celebration some time REALLY soon. What cha think?"

Lizzie just stared at Chalice. No one had been that cheerful in reaction to her and Chris breaking up. Dem had screamed and called Chris a whole bunch of mean word (Lizzie smiled at the memory of it), Natka had hugged her and tried to cheer her up, Shay had tried to give her more hope, but still looked very sad when she found out, Marcus had held her close as she cried, even Chris had cried when they discussed it the other day. Everyone had been going all "ooh I'm so sorry Lizzie!" and Chalice's reaction caught Lizzie unprepared. She shook her head slightly to get the thought out of her mind and smiled at her friend. A celebration.. well I guess that could be nice. Would love it if you could wait a few days, I'm really down right now.. But surely, I'm in if we throw a party sooner or later she answered then.

"You look like my responce to the news caught you a little off guard." Chalice said. "I... I just don't really know what to say. You are two of my best friends in the whole world and I don't exactly know what to say. I am surely incredibly sorry for you, I am. But I'm not good with break ups and stuff like that. I'm sorry." she tried to explain, but she ended up making herself feel stupid and bad. "Yeah, maybe next weekend or something like that. You need time to cheer up, I need time to settle back in. A week or so will do us good." she said as she stared at her own feet.
