Meredith's Office Meredith's office just seems to radiate welcoming. She has her bookshelves along the back wall and a couch on another. Her desk is kept about as organized as she is...in other words not very, but she knows where everything is. There is always tea brewing and a smiling face to help you with whatever you need. Meredith enjoys answering questions and being a listening ear for the children but she has a high expectation of respect for not only her but others. |
John Entered The office and noticed The Smiling Nurse He said " hello my name is john Dorian " |
"Hello, John." Meredith said with a grin and looked at the door. Surely the custom of knocking before entering a room, especially an office wasn't just American. Brushing it aside for now she looked back up at the boy. "I'm Meredith Brooks-Byron, can I help you in some way?" |
"I hope I`m Not Interrupting anything " He said As he saw her gaze .. " I just wanted to ask for some reading material ... you see i`m kind of interested in medicine specially the muggle medicine and i could not find a book in the library so i wanted to check here.." |
"No, not interupting anything at all." Meredith assured him and headed to her shelves. "Let me seee, hmm. Here you go!" She reached and grabbed a couple of her favorites off the shelf and handed them to him. "I find these most helpful, I'm sure you'll enjoy them." She looked back to the shelves to see if anything else was there that she could give him and found one about the history and famous muggle doctors. "This might interest you too if you like history. If there is anything else you need feel free to come back." |
" Thank Alot !" John Said with a huge smile at the amounts of the books she gave He very loved reading... "and good bye.... "and he left her ... |

And she liked this office too. It just seemed so...so welcoming. And happy. And safe. And there was a couch, and books...! The redheaded Herbology professor was quickly becoming distracted again as she looked around the room with a slightly goofy grin. Then she remembered the body as it almost touched the ground because of her short attention span. Might as well go for the couch, she sighed, directing the dead Hufflepuff over to the furniture and letting it come to a soft, peaceful rest right there. Hopefully the nurse won't mind....he is starting to get a wee bit stinky though... Once that was taken care of, Anastasia turned around and leaned against the desk, waiting for Nurse Byron to come in and work her magic. Er, whatever was appropriate for such a situation... |
Due to storms, Cassies/angelwing/Merry will not be on for a day or so. I'm closing the wing at her request. |
Paris ran into the hospital wing and headed toward the nurse's office. She knocked urgently but politely. |
Merry came back from taking care of Edward and sat behind her desk. Maybe things would now begin to get back to normal... whatever normal was supposed to be at least. She gave a grin to herself and started some water to heat up for tea and tried to relax. |
Tobi completely by passed the waiting room, he wasn't sick and he needed to tell the nurse something kind of important. And private. He brought a tin of chocolate cheesecake fudge for good measure. As he knocked on the door, he wondered if maybe he shouldn't just leave well enough alone..... Nah! "Uh... Nurse Brooks-Byron?" he called, "are you in there?" |
mmmm chocolate ....and cheesecake....and fudge...mmmm Merry was brought out of her daydreaming and almost fell out of her seat when she heard a knock on her door. She hadn't really been expecting anyone. "Tobi?" She asked raising an eyebrow...then realized she should open the door. Mere walked around her desk and opened up the door and greeted Tobi with a smile. "Hey, sure come on in." Always glad to see him she stepped back and allowed him room to walk inside the office. |
The most gorgeous-est Nurse EVAR! opened the door and Tobi suddenly found himself staring like a moron, having completely forgot his mission. She's preeeeeeetty. He gushed. I wonder if her hair is naturally so glossy or - Focus Avalon! Tobi shook his head to clear it. "So um, hi!" he croaked, "can I come in? Oh you already invited me, oops. Um yeah..." Tobi stepped into the office and felt even more uncomfortable. What to do... What to do? "Uh, I brought you fudge." He shoved the tin at her awkwardly. |
Quote:
"Aw Tobi that's sweet!" She gave him a quick hug and placed the fudge on a corner of her desk. "Thank you so much, please take a seat." She motioned to a chair and grabbed an extra cup from her cabinet. "Tea?" |
Quote:
"Um, kay..." he assented, taking a seat. "Tea is good." Good Avalon. Focus on Tea. On food. On the things of YOUR world. |
Merry prepared the tea and handed it to Tobi. She pushed a small sugar bowl towards him in case he wanted to add it. She resituated herself in her chair and took a sip of her own tea before placing it back down. "What brings you here Tobi?" She asked curiously. Then before he could even answer she got sidetracked and asked another question instead. "Do you have any plans for after graduation?" Mere was going to miss him when he left. |
dear nursy-poo: tea in sugar = JUST WRONG!!! *is scandalized* :P Quote:
Tobi accepted his tea, careful not to touch his pretty nurse again. He'd never get out what he wanted to say if she kept using her womanly wiles. Tobi sipped his tea, regarding the sugar bowl with some confusion. Who puts sugar in tea? he wondered. But back to more important things, "I -" nope, not ready yet, and she had foolishly offered him an out, "Oh I'm going back home and helping out in the kitchen. I'm trying to arrange for Aggie to spend the summer with me too. You remember Aggie right?" That's right Avalon, remember, your girlfriend? Keep her in mind... |
haha sugar is yummmmy in tea for reals Merry had to think back a little bit and then nodded. "Sure, I remember her. That sounds like it will be fun. It's always nice when you can spend summers with those important to you." She grinned and moved the bowl back since he didn't seem interested in taking any. Silly boy. "I meant career wise but I'm glad you're going to have an enjoyable summer. I'm sure you're ready for the break." |
Quote:
"I meant career wise too," he said, "I'm not really going into a magical career. I'm going to help run my parents' Inn." But this was not what he had come to talk about, he needed to clear the air with his pretty nurse. Things needed to be out in the open. He was with Aggie now. It was important. "So anyway, what brings me here..." Tobi began, "what brings me here....What brings me here is a bit of a confession ma'am." That's as far as he got before he lost his nerve. "This tea is great," he said. Coward. |
Quote:
"Confession?" She raised an eyebrow...then raised the other one too. What in the world would Tobi need to confess to her? Merry beamed at the tea comment. She did pride herself on her tea making skills. Yeah she really did have that great of an attention span. |
This time, Tobi didn't let himself get distracted by what else his pretty nurse had said. So what if she wanted to come see his in.. it was just the coolest thing ever. No biggie. Okay, just do it Avalon. Just tell her. Tobi took a deep breath and plunged right in, "Well, I wanted to tell you before I graduated that I will always love you in a way, but I realize now that it just won't work out and I'm sorry to have hounded your every step this year without what ultimately seems like good reason. You should keep that fudge in a cool dark place." |
Quote:
"I'm flattered and I never thought you hounded. I've enjoyed getting to know you this year Tobi. But you're right, it won't work out. However, I'd like to think we can be friends. You're a great young man and Aggie is very lucky." She took the fudge and opened it, taking out a piece and offering him to take one if you wanted. "You have very good taste in chocolate." |
Taking it in stride! Go Mere! Quote:
Tobi blushed. He'd been given quite a lot of praise - about his character and his cooking and it was even better because his pretty nurse didn't realize she was saying all of it. "Thanks Ma'am. I uh, kind of made it." It had taken him seven years, but the house elves CAN be convinced to let a person cook in their kitchen. Provided you let them clean up after you. "I'd like to be friends with you," he agreed, "You're not just really pretty, you're very nice too." |
