Hospital Ward You cannot enter this room without permission from the Nurse or her intern. This is where sick or injured students are put overnight to recover. If you are here to visit, get permission and do so during visiting hour. Try not to bother the sick or injured students too much... After all, this is a place of healing. |
Cassandra pointed her wand at one of the beds and the sheets turned down. "You can lay her down here." she said. "I think it's best if Nurse Numel sees her. I'll go fetch her." She said and walked out. |
Madame Kohan followed the intern into the main hospital ward, carefully maneuvering the Hufflepuff into the room. "Thank you." She replied as she set Rapunzel onto the indicated bed. To think that this all had occured in the library... With a shake of her head, Madame Kohan leaned against a nearby wall, awaiting for Nurse Numel or the intern to return. |
Ariana went through the ward doors and moved over to Madame Kohen and the young girl laying on the bed. "Hey, can you explain to me what happened?" It was easier to hear the story first hand. |
Angela glanced towards the entrance of ward as Ariana walked briskly in their direction. "To put it simply, I witnessed another student throwing a book directly at this girl, and it hitting her in the head." She began. "As I mentioned to our new intern, I'm not certain if she fainted because of the direct hit or to the sight of her own blood, or even a combination of both." |
Ariana nodded and quickly roused the young girl laying there and checked the wound on her head cleaning it gently as Angela explained what had occured. "She'll be alright." Ari assured her and then raised an eyebrow and asked curiously. "Of all the things to throw...a book?" Kids were weird. |
Angela smiled slightly as Ariana assured her that the Hufflepuff would be just fine. She was relieved that there was no further damage. However, she still did have to deal with that boy. "Yes...a book. I suppose the student felt the need to throw something, and since it happened around the bookshelves, he grabbed the first thing he could find; which of course, earned him a detention. I"m hoping he'll learn some anger management skills while in there." |
Rapunzel's eyelashes started fluttering as she felt a cool hand touch her head. She could hear voices talking around her but they sounded so...far away... "Nachoiiii?" she squeaked hoarsely, not bothering to open her eyes. She'd been having a good dream; something about balancing Quidditch books on her head had helped her earn a spot on the Chudley Cannons team.... |
"Yes, by all means go take care of the boy. Thank you so much for your help." She gave the librarian a smile and turned to the girl with a raised eyebrow. "Hmm no dear. You need to open your eyes. You're here in the hospital ward." Ariana told her taking a seat on the bed and facing the girl. |
As she heard a squeaky sounding voice speak up, Madame Kohan glanced down at the girl, once again, feeling relieved that she was awakening. "Of course." She replied to Ariana before looking back at Rapunzel. "Hope you feel better soon, dear." With that, she turned and hurried out of the room. Now she could send that owl. |
Lizzie helped Erica into the other room, looking around for nurse Numel. "Erhm.. Excuse me, but the woman in the waitingroom sent us here, my friend really needs help. She's bleeding from her head, and I don't know what to do.." she said out in the air, hoping that someone would listen. "You're okey??" she asked Erica, and watched her friend carefully. She really just wanted Errica to get better, and was a bit desperat. The unfriendly woman/nurse outside didn't bother her much, she decided to not care about that until she got Erica in the hands of a kind nurse, a caring one. Once again she looked around, searching for nurse Numel. |
Lizzie moved her into another room. In here Erica hoped that she would get some help with her medical problems. The nurse in the waiting room had been quite rude and uncaring. She heard Lizzie talking, but not really her exaxt words. Erica kept holding on to Lizzie as she was the only thing in the room that didn't move around. "Could you find some place to sit down on? I don't know how much longer i can stand. And then please go get the nurse." |

But, alas, she didn't want the nurse to splash water on her face or stuff a potion down her throat or something, so Punz opened her green eyes at last, blinking a few times as her eyes adjusted to the light. Quote:
"Did she...er...um....how did I get here?" she whisperasked the nurse. Whispering seemed appropriate for the hospital ward - after all, it was a quiet place, like the library....right? Speaking of which...what happened in the library that led to me being in the hospital wing?! |

But that was a bad idea, because wrinkling her forehead reminded her of where the book had hit, right in the center. And that hurt. "I...uh yeah, it throbs a little, right here," she muttered, touching the center of her forehead tenderly. "Just...just a little ache..." Maybe a little more than an ache but I have to get the heck out of here and figure out which one of those brats threw the book!! |
"Now calm down. Ms. Kohan is taking care of the young man responsible. You don't need to worry." Ari said soothingly to calm the girls nerves. She dabbed a bit of cream on the bump that was hurting and smoothed it in and letting it absorb. "I believe you will be fine now. Just be careful and if you experience dizziness or anything such as that you come straight back, understood?" Ari asked the Rapunzel her voice stressing the importance. |
Calm down, yeah, sure, I was just assaulted by a book and I'm supposed to be calm?! "Wait a second....did you say young man?" Punz asked, blinking at the nice nurse as she put something nice and cool and smooth on her head. AHA! So I was assaulted by a member of my OWN HOUSE! That boy was SO going to get it if she ever saw him again...grrr.....speaking of which, the nurse was apparently giving her the okay to leave. "Er, thank you so much, Nurse Numel," Rapunzel said politely, scooting off the hospital bed and smoothing out her robes. "The uh, book dent - it won't leave a scar, will it?" It couldn't hurt to ask. And if it does I'm going to give Dominic Denton one to match, so help me Merlin I will.... |
"No, no scar. You won't even have a bump come tomorrow." Ari assured her. She gave the girl a wave and moved over to the two gryffindor girls. "Ok now I understand about the bleeding. Care to explain what all happened here?" Ariana asked them as she put a hand on the shoulder of the girl that was lying on the bed and easily stopped the blood and began to clean it carefully so as to not hurt the young girl more. |
"Thank you, again," Punz politely thanked the Nurse, giving her a wave as she headed out of the hospital wing. Her head felt better, much better, now that she had a clear idea of how she had wound up there....watch out, Dominic Denton. You wait, boy, you wait. |

"Well, Erica told me yesterday she had a bump on her head, and that she should go see the nurse about it. And today, it just started bleeding all of a sudden! I brought her here as quickly as I could, but then we had to wait for the nurse in the waitingroom and everything.. But Erica told me she was feeling cold and dizzy. And it was bleeding so much... " she caught her breath for a second, and continued. "And she got really pale while we were waiting, and she was barly conscious for some time. And I had to help her walk, and her eyes just wouldn't focus on anything, and she was all dizzy..." Lizzie stopped herself, realising how fast and silly she was actually speaking. But it felt so good to tell someone, to let an adult be the one with responsibility. She had been so worried about Erica while waiting, and now she finally got to tell someone. "I'm sorry, miss. I'm just really worried about her, and I always speak fast and not understandable when I'm worried or excited. I hope you understand anyway." She kept watching Erica as nurse Numel cleaned the wound, which had started to bleed a little more after the nurse in the waiting room cleaned it quickly. "Is she going to be okey, miss?" Lizzie asked. |
Livvy followed the woman into the Ward with her arm around Rachel to support the unconcious girl. She glanced around to see that there were many injured and sick people in the Ward already. Livvy set Rachel onto an empty bed and lifted the girl's legs onto the bed. She looked at the woman expectantly, wondering what was to happen next. |
Rachel's breathing was very shallow, almost non-existent. More and more blood was soaking the material wrapped on her head and stomach. She was deathly pale and looked almost dead as Olivia laid her on the bed. |
