"Dude! You're going to start bagging on me as well?! What is with you Ravenclaws. You all seem snooty and like you think you're better than me." he looked at her with disgust. " Back OFF!" he told her as he zoomed away from her and around the Pitch.

Addie grinned, "Wow, that's really cool. My mum was going to play professionally, but she hurt her shoulder in her seventh year. And well, you need a good shoulder to be a Chaser. So she went to work in Magical Games for the Ministry. My dad's there, too. He played for his house back in the day." she smirked, "You're half-and-half? I'm...well, not really anything. I guess it could be half and half. My dad was a muggleborn, and my mum's a pureblood. So whatever that is."
Just then, another girl hesitantly flew up and came to a shaky halt next to her and Nate. the girl looked a little nervous about being on a broom. Addie gave her a grin, and couldn't help but giggle along with Nate as she asked if he would be going out for the team. Maybe she was muggleborn and didn't know that first years couldn't go out. But she seemed really nice, and she already knew Nate.
"Hi, I'm Addie," she said to the girl, "Are you in Gryffindor, too?"

Kairi gave Lizzie a small smile, "Practice makes perfect, you'll get it in the end,"
She was taken aback with Nate's outburst as he zoomed off in a huff.

Reaching out a hand, Raine said, "Hold on to me Lizzie, I'll fly us both down and we'll see if Professor Vindictus will let you sit out for a bit." Raine let out a sigh as Nate zoomed off. No doubt her outburst had pushed him past his limit as well as bruise his pride. Oh, well. Once she had Lizzie on the ground, she'd see what could be done to mend that rift.

"Looks like you got it under control, Raine, need me to come along too?" Kairi asked.

"Your parents sound way cooler than mine." he said while flying around the girls. "My dad is a wizard and my mum is a muggle. We haven't been pureblood since James married Lilly way back when... but that doesn't matter to me." he said with a grin.

"No, I think I'll be ok. Tell Nate I don't think I'm better than him, will you? That boy seriously needs to calm down." Raine said to Kairi. She flew a little closer to Lizzie and said, "Come on, Let's get you down on solid ground."

Lizzie managed to give her friends a smile. "Oh I'm so glad I've got you girls.." Surpriced she watched Nate fly away in anger, and thoughfully she said "That's really strange, I've been speakting a lot to him in lessons, and he seemed to be really nice. I think he just got upset. But thank's anyway for defending me" she said warmly to Reine and Kairi. She grabbed Reines hand and held the other on the broom still. She felt safe as Reine gentle helped her down.

Kairi gave Raine and Lizzie a small smile then began to zoom once again, around the pitch, the cool wind whipping at her cheeks.

Nathaniel flew over to the two girls. "For the record Lizzie, I wasn't making fun of you. I was giggling because I'd never seen someone so scared. I was serious when I asked if you were okay." he said hovering by them. He looked at the other girl and didn't say a word.

Holding on to Lizzie's hand, Raine determinedly kept her eyes locked on the girl so that she wouldn't have anywhere else to look. Raine prayed that nothing would come flying at them as they descended, and she belatedly wished she had accepted Kairi's offer of help.
Reaching the ground unscathed, Raine dismounted her broom and helped Lizzie pry her clenched fingers off hers. Raine walked her over to a bench saying, "Just sit down here, Lizzie, don't get up unless you feel sick. If you are sick, find Professor Vindictus and ask to go to the hospital. I'll keep an eye on you from the air." Raine hoped Lizzie wouldn't think less of her for sounding like somebody's mother, but she smiled at her, then remounted and took off. the professor would probably be in the air anyway, and she could find him there and tell him about Lizzie. But first, she had a Gryffindor's pride to mend.

Lizzie gave Nate a weak smile, still a bit chocked by the reaction to the flying. "It's okey Nate, no big deal. I know you weren't making fun of me, or at least I hoped so. But anyway, I know I'm a terrible flyer." she hesitated for a second, then grinned at him. "Friends?"

Miranda sped around the pitch. Still smiling she took in the surrounding area, she really wanted a broom of her own but her parents didnt think it was a good idea. Probably because they werent going to be able to keep an eye on her, but first years werent supposed to have brooms of their own.

She shrugged, she didnt get the reasonings of parents.

"Atchooo!" she sneezed and had to release her right hand to cover her mouth "It's good manners" her mother always said.
The broom dropped and she jerked the handle up again, "Wow..." she took a deep breath and let it out. Then Miranda laughed, sneezes were fun.

Now onto the obstacles again, the quidditch practices were important to her so this was something she wasnt going to pass on.

Lizzie was glad to be back on the ground, and almost got tears in her eyes when Reine was so kind to her. "Oh Reine, think you so much. I don't know what I would have done without you.." She gave her friend a hug, and then sat down on the bench, watching Reine take off again. She just hoped she'd learn to fly someday, but surely not today.

Kairi watched as Raine took lizzie carefully to the ground, and when she was safely down below, she sped off and fell in beside Raine, "Everything ok?" she asked.

Raine smiled as Lizzie forgave Nate, though she noticed he avoided looking at her. Still that didn't wipe the smile off her face. After seeing Lizzie safely to the ground below, she flew back up and caught up with Nate. "Hey," she said. "Nate, I didn't mean to snap at you before. I was just worried about Lizzie. She looked faint." but of course he noticed that, she thought. "Anyway, sorry."

"Of course we are friends! You just have to practice. It'll come to you." he said smiling at her while still hovering.

Nia giggled as she headed for her brother. It seemed he hadn't quite got the hang of turning artound smoothly yet, and was wobbling rather a lot. "Theo!" she called, still stalking after him, though slightly slower now. She didn't want to scare him. He had actually been relatively, well, normal recently, and she didn't want him to begin relying on Buzz again.

She came up next to him and grinned. "You having fun?" The rush of air had sent her blonde hair all over the place, and the coolness of the air had brought some colour to her cheeks. "This is awesome!"

Lizzie smiled at him, she'd calmed down now. Getting back on the ground was good, but when she saw her friends do the most amazing tricks she wished she wasn't afraid. She'd love to be able to fly like them. Didn't they realise how lucky they were? 1. They were wizards and witches, so they lived in a world where people did fly, 2. They had a lesson about flying, and they were allowed to do it during schooltime and 3. They were not deathly afraid of not feeling something under their feet. She only filled two of those, sadly.

She looked at Nate and grinned. "That's great to hear, I wanna be friends with you. You're like the only person who is certainly on every lesson." she smiled and held her hand over her eyes to cover them from the sunlight. "And I like taking to you. Even though you're a boy." She blushed slightly, not that she was in love with him, just that she felt how great it was to be able to talk to a boy without getting nervous. She continued "I've never had a friend who is a boy, so it's great to know you.. " She changed topic, unsure what else to way without getting to emotional and "girly". "So who taught you to fly like that?" she asked.

Addie pulled a face, "No, they really aren't that cool. My dad's mum is a professor of English literature at Oxford; you know, the muggle university. And so my dad has an unhealthy fasination with Shakespeare. So much so that my sister and I are named after Shakepearean characters. And my mum's a Black, so most of her family doesn't speak to us." then something Nate said clicked in Addie's mind, "Wait. So you're related to the Potters? What are you saying, you're family's not cool? That's bloody brilliant!"

Lucas wanted to reach out and catch Theodore, but he stayed on his broom. "You look really good on your broom. Do you want to fly around that bouncing ball?" he asked pointing to where the ball was floating trying to unseat another first year.

Jenn smiled. "It's alright."Jenn said fliping on her broom. Jenn doged the square cleanly. "Thanks."Jenn said.

Theo's head slowly turned, as his grip tightened on the broomstick. His eyes followed the person as they pulled up to him. "Hello Nia." He smiled at her, "I like it. But it is very high up. I am scared. But it makes me laugh." He liked the wind blowing through his hair. "I don't like da heights."

"Fank you Lukey. So do you," he smiled. "I don't turn very good." He tried, "But I can try."

"You're cool.It's all good." he said with a smile "If you need help with flying i'll help you!! My dad taught me to fly."

"My grandparents are retired and just sit and do nothing. Yea, my dad is related to the Potters." he said with a smile.

"Well, that's pretty cool." Addie grinned, "It was nice to meet you, Nate. I'll see you later. Better keep up your Quidditch skills. Otherwise I'll school you next year in Quidditch tryouts." she smirked with a wink. Then Addie zoomed off, doing a quick loop in the air as she did. Merlin, she loved flying.
