"Uh, the personal day number tells you....tells you..." Rapunzel was really guessing now, with her hand up in the air. "er, it can predict how your day will go? Or what would be a good activity to do that day...?" She hoped that might be close maybe? Oh Merlin, if that was really wrong, she was going to be embarassed. |
Anna raised her hand. "The personal year and personal month numbers tell us what paths our lives will take each month of the year. They tell us what we should and should not expect and what opportunities we have based on what month of the year we are on. Based on that information, I think the Personal Day will tell us what to expect in our lives based on what day of the week we are on," she said. |

Macadrian paced the front of the class, munching on a licorice wand, before asking, "Now, some of your classmates mentioned this, but I want everyone to be able to hear and understand this concept - when does the Personal Day number have a significant influence on your life?" |
Astrid raised her hand again and said, "When your Personal Day Number matches your Life Path Number or your Soul Number. This is when its subtle influence is added to what's already a strong influence in your life." |
Cale raised his hand again, "The Personal Day number changes every day, going from numbers 1-9, and tells you the aspects of your life you'll be most successful in that day. So, really, the number is in affect every single day, but like Astrid said not a lot of people even notice the influence it has on their lives." |
Whoa whoa, Rapunzel's guess had been correct?! Maybe sitting in the front had its perks! She smiled to herself and then raised her hand in an attempt to answer the new question. "Um, if you add the calender date to the number of your personal month...and it matches your Life Path Number or your Soul Path Number...uh," she glanced at her textbook one more time, "then it like, magnifies the numbers' influence....?" She was starting to sound like a Valley Girl, the way she ended everything in a question. Oops. |
So apparently effort was in Dominic's vocabulary after all. One point was better than nothing. But before he could dwell too much on it, a new question had been asked and more answers given. Sighing, he twirled his quill between his forefinger and thumb lightly. "The Personal day number has a significant influence on your life if it matches your life path or soul number." He spoke, his hand in the air. |
Anna raised her hand. "When your Personal Day Number has a significant influence when it matches your Life Path Number or your Soul Number," she said. |
Professor Vindictus was getting a bit bored with the numbers talk since it had nothing to do with Quidditch score keeping nor stats in the league. So he began fiddling with a celophane candy wrapper that was in his pocket. |

Turning back to her class, Professor Shackleton queried, "How do we calculate the Personal Day numbers?" |
Astrid held her hand up high and said, “The correct calculation to find your Personal Day Number is to add the number of the calendar day to the number of your Personal Month.” |

"Do what?" Max asked and continued making noises with the wrapper. "You told me to be here, so I'm here." |
Anna raised her hand and said, "We add the number of the calendar day to the number of your personal month to get your Personal Day Number." |
Oh yay!! More points! Before Dominic got too overexcited though, Shackleton turned and snapped at the flying professor about some crinkling noise. Women.... Ignoring it, he raised his hand to answer her next question, "Your Personal Day Number is found by adding the number of the calendar day to the number of your Personal Month." |
Cale raised his hand, a bit disappointed that he hadn't understood her last question. Sigh. "You calculate the Personal Day numbers by adding the number of the calender day to your Personal Month number," he explained. |
"You add the number of that calendar day to the number of your Personal Month..." Gwen said, her hand in the air. She trailed off a little as Professor Vindictus whispered something back at Professor Shackleton. Tres strange. |
Curt laughed as Professor Shackleton and Professor Vindictus were having a little tiff. He had to admit, he was tired beyond words up until now. His notes looked good, but he hadn't been alert enough to respond to questions. Sitting up a little straighter and rubbing his eyes, he scribbled down a few more things on his parchment. Maybe he'd know the next question. He had always found Arithmancy one of the most fascinating subjects at Hogwarts, but it was by no means his strongpoint. |
"To get the Personal Day Number, just add the number of the calender day to the number of your personal month," Punz answered quickly, raising her hand. She'd just seen this in the textbook two seconds ago...but ooh, was that candy? She turned her head to notice Professor Vindictus' crinkly wrapper sounds. Chocolate Frogs Chocolate Frogs! |
Qaz sat quietly in the back of the room...as much as she loved this class, she would rather be flying around on a carpet, as she did in the last flying class.... |
Patricia sat idly, listening to everyone speaking almost at the same time. All this talk of numbers and stuff was not as interesting as transfiguration... She lifted her hand anyway and answered the question, hopefully she could be heard over the chatter and the odd crinkling noise coming from Professor Vindictus. "You get it by adding the number of the calender day to the number of your personal month, maam." Between this class and Divination, Patricia had her work cut out for her. Giving herself a mental shake to wake herself up, she straightened her back and concentrated on the teacher. |
"To get the Personal Day Number, you gotta add up the number of the calenday day and your Personal Month Number, me thinks." Clifford explained, hand in the air. |
Erica sat in the Arithmancy classroom not too far from where Astrid and the other older Gryffindor's were sitting. She couldn't help, but smile as Professor Shackelton and Vindictus had a small disagreement over something. To answer Professor Shackelton's question Erica raised her hand saying "You calculate the personal year number by adding up the number of the calendar day and your personal month number." |
Miles raised his hand quickly. "You add the number of the calender day with your personal month number." He nodded in agreement with himself. |
Rachel jotted down everything that was being said and raised her hand to answer the professor's next question. "The Personal Day number is calculated by adding the number of the calendar day to the Personal Month number." She looked in puzzlement as Professor Shackleton and her Head of House whispered to each other. What's going on? |
Nancy was surprised to find that the Flying professor, Professor Vindictus was standing in the shadows of the classroom obviously discussing something with Professor Shackleton. Although, nosy as she was, Nancy tried to eavesdrop on their conversation she wasn't able to understand a word of what they were saying so with a sigh she went down the aisle to sit somewhere in the middle of the classroom. What was the Professor Vindictus doing here? Maybe they would do something with brooms later on. A smile flashed across Nancy's face. Yes, that would be fun. Quickly raising her hand to answer Professor Shackleton's last question Nancy said, "To calculate the Personal Day Number you simply add up the numbers of the current calendar day and your personal month number." At least she thought that was the correct answer. |
