A. Runes :: Lesson 1
 

Camira sighed as she walked into the class. One of her worst classes with a professor that she more than despised and she had to get through the whole thing without getting detention or losing points. Great.

“Hello Professor. Had a good summer, I hope”, she mumbled, barely managing not to roll her eyes and keep the sarcasm out of her voice. She went all the way to the back of the classroom and sat down. She wanted to be as far away from him as possible. Ugh. Class hadn’t even started and already she wanted to leave. That wasn’t a good sign, was it?

She sighed heavily before taking out her quill, parchment, ink, and textbook. She flipped through the textbook once more, half-heartedly. Nothing really made sense to her. Hopefully he’d at least be a good teacher, even if he was mean and evil and prejudice against Slytherins.

Rachel walked into the classroom and made for her favourite seat at the front. "Hello Professor!" she said brightly, and then her expression turned to puzzlement as she watched the professor pace back and forwards. Shrugging, she took out her stuff and waited for the class to begin.

When she walked inside the classroom, it was almost empty except the Professor and two students. She stood there for a minute, watching him pacing back and forth. Restless?! "Hello Professor, Welcome back to Hogwarts!" she Greeted him with a smile. Taking a seat in the front row, she unpacked her bag, getting ready for the lesson.

Lizzie entered the classroom, excited to see what this lesson would be like. She looked around but didn't spot anyone familiar, so she smiled at the professor before heading towards an empty seat. She sat down, pulled out her books from the bag and waited. Both for the lesson to start and for someone she knew to enter the room.

Fabian nodded at the entering student, "Miss Yaxley, Miss Rider" he greeted before resuming his pacing and eyeing his watch.

Until someone mentioned his return to Hogwarts, with a hororr stricken face he took in Miss Stone, how on earth did she know? "Miss Stone" he nodded watching her take a seat on the front row, she seemed .. normal. Perhaps she meant welcome back to Hogwarts as in welcome back to Hogwarts from Cooper School. Yeah, possibly that and stop being so edgy, he berated himself and smiled at the three girls.

"Miss Evans" he nodded.

Ryan walked into Runes. Great. His best class.....NOT. Ryan hated this class, and couldn't remember why he even continued with it. He never had a knack for other languages, let alone interpreting the meanings of the symbols. Blech.

Nevertheless, he tried to make the best of it. "Hello, Professor," he said as he crossed the threshold of the room.

Aw..the horror striken face. Ella noticed the confusion in his voice. She grinned as if she didnt know anything almost anything. But the professor looked..mhm..yeah...kinda cute eventhough he was restless. One of a kind. "Anything I did say wrong professor?" she asked in curiosity.

Meanwhile she spotted Ryan and Sam when they entered the class. "HI guys," she waved her hand at them.

Entering the classroom with a tired look on his face, Sebastian took up a recently vacated chair with a nod to the teacher, "Mornin' sir." He said, as clearly as he could without sounding too... Noisy.

As Miles sat down and got books out and such, he saw Astrid walk over to him. Few, he wouldn't be alone this lesson. He smiled back at her and spoke quietly, so the professor wouldn't yell at him. "Hi." He said. "You looking forward to this lesson?"

Astrid nodded and whispered, "Yes!" I am now. she thought. Any class with Miles was a fun class. She smiled at him again and then turned her eyes back to the front of the room.

Via entered the ancient runes classroom; greeting the professor with a sweet smile on her face, "Good morning Professor!", she took her seat silently. She felt like it's been a long while since she had attended a class. She laid her bag down beside her chair and brought out her ink and quill and not to forget a piece of parchment.

Qaz entered the classroom and took a seat at the back, as usual. Getting out parchment, a quill and her textbook, she settled in for what she hoped would be a good class.

Via noticed Qaz, how could She forget the girl. She smiled at her and tried to say hi in a whisper.

Jessica entered the classroom, curious about what the subject of the lesson will be. She noticed there were quite many students there already.

"Hello, Professor!" she greeted politely and went to find a seat in the middle of the classroom.

Lizzie saw Erica enter the classroom, and smiled widely at her. Hi Erica, long time no see, girl she said. She got up from her seat and sneaked over to her friend. Is this seat taken? she asked and nodded towards the seat next to Erica. She hadn't spoken to the girl in ages.

Erica turned in her seat and said quietly "Hi, Lizzie! No that seat isn't taken. Feel free to sit down." Turning back to the front she made a mental to note to make time to talk with Lizzie after class in the dorms or common room, so they could catch up on each other's lives. Erica didn't want to get in trouble with Professor Clark for talking in Ancient Runes class.

"Hello .. Hello!" Fabian kept repeating after every greeting with a smile, "alright we'll start class now lets go ahead and settle down shall we?" he smiled again before raising a brow at Miss Stone, "No .. Nothing wrong" and pushed the class ahead to commence.

"Okay! Welcome to your first lesson in Ancient Runes!" he grinned at the entire class, "lets start by defining the term Ancient Runes, who can tell me what it means?"

Lizzie gave Erica a smile and sat down next to her, listening to the professor. With her hand rising, she slowly said. Well aren't runes a kind of alphabet used in old times?

Qaz raised her hand and replied, 'Ancient Runes are really old symbols used to write, like an alphabet, and they're also used for Divination.'
