James watched the door open before him before making his way into the classroom. He was the first to arrive.

"Good day, Professor Richardson." he said before setting down his bag and taking out quill, ink, and wand.

Tancred walked into the Transfiguration classroom and immediately sat down in the middle of the room without saying a single word. Right now, he was not very happy with the Ministry officials. Not one bit at all. This was mainly Thornybutt Thornton's fault, but that wasn't the point. It was time for Transfiguration.

He reached down into his messenger bag and pulled out his textbook, a quill, and some parchment. He set the belongs that he took out of the bag onto his desk and waited for class to begin. Hey, Tancred. Cheer up. It's not like Thornybutt'll waltz ... waddle into class and start bossing everyone around. Try to enjoy this lesson - you might just learn something from this guy.

"Hello, Professor Richardson," Jason called out as he walked into the classroom.

Cale looked over at Tanc and grinned. "Hey, wanna partner up?" he asked. Tanc was the only other guy he knew in the room, and he felt bad after locking them out of the locker room earlier. Plus, Tanc looked a little down, and Cale vaguely wondered if he could do anything to cheer him up.

"Sure, Maddox, I would like to be your partner. Which side would you like to take?", Jason asked.

Maddox pndered that question for a moment. "How 'bout i will take, For animal transfiguration, and you take against it. Sound good?" He shrugged.

Ok. I will take against animnal transfiguration Maddox.

Barry looked around for a partner. He was hoping to patner up with Cale but to bad he was paring up with that other boy who was with the hufflepuff captin. He went from his space and sat down near enough Cale in case he couldn`t find a partner and Barry looked for a partner himself

Ray made it to the classroom. He looked at the professor smiled and said "hello professor!" Before sitting down waiting for the class to begin.

Jose looked around to see if there was anyone he could be partners with.

Maddox composed himself and said, "Personally i dont think that transfiguring animals harms them in any way what-so-ever becuase of the fact that, we, as humans, can transfigure ourselves without harm." HE looked at jason and waited for his response.

Jason thought for a moment before answering. "Well it may be true that no actual physical harm comes from transfiguring an animal, still there is a chance that something could go wrong if the transfiguration isn't done right. Besides we don't really know what kind of harm we are causing to the poor animal when we transfigure them, who knows they might be traumatised as a result of the experience." He shook his head. "We would need to see into the head of the animal to know that."

Tancred looked up from his desk and listened to what Richardson had to say. Disbating animal transfigurations? Shouldn't be too hard, he thought as he noticed that Cale was talking to him. He didn't quite exactly pay attention to the rest of the mumble jumble Richardson had to say about partners. Lucky for him, Cale had mentioned that they were supposed to partnet up with someone.

"Sure thing," Tancred said with a weak smile. "I wouldn't want it any other way." He nodded his head to Cale and sighed with relief. He could've been partnered up with a silly first or second year who most likely had no idea what they'd be talking about. "So ... which view do you want to take? The favourable view or the apposing view?"

James was drawing a blank. What?

James listened to Professor Richardson's assignment and couldn't help but fell a bit disappointed. Debating instead of actual practice didn't sound very inviting..but he had no choice.

He watched as a Hufflepuff entered. He called to the boy, Ray, "Hey. So, you wanna partner up for this assignment?"

Cale shrugged, "Erm, I don't care, really...I guess the apposing view?" he said, wrinkling his eyebrows. Meh. He really had no clue what was going on in this lesson. And debating? Was THAT what they were really supposed to be doing? Pssh, some lesson. "So you can have the favourable," he added, nodding at Tanc. He hoped that if they really did have to debate each other--and in front of the class--that the Hufflepuff wouldn't slaughter him TOO bad.

Jason laughed at Cale. Cale must have too much Canna on his mind.

"Anyone else need a partner?" Nicholai finally closed his book and looked around.

"Um Ray um James two just asked you. But I still need a patner" said Barry

Nicholai shrugged, and looked at the 'puff,

"Ray is it? I guess you better go with this James two character." He smiled, "So I suppose you and I are partners then, Barry. What side would you like to take?"

"Um I`d like to take the fair side because its not really harmful don`t humans transfigre as well without feeling pain?" he asked "And I think the animals don`t notice thev`e been transfigred"
