Jaimine up her hair up in a high ponytail with the hair band she always held on her wrist. She slipped her hands into her gloves, she searched for her colours that all circled around yellow sunflowers. She went through the rows and found her sunflowers in a line. Snipping at least four healthy looking sunflowers she set out for something red to match the bright yellow, she merely glanced at a row before she recognized them. Red dahlias.

Smiling she walked to them and delicately snipped five to surround the yellow mass that hung gently in her hands. Maybe another colour, just behind the red dahlias were pruple ones but some weren't blooming as nicely as others. She selected the onse that were open but not wilting snipping carefully near the bud.

Gathering her colour arrangement together she brought them back to her table.

Picking a clipper, Melina almost ran to the flowers, the sudden excitement clear in her beaming lips. She had won four points already! Hopefully, if she picked the most gorgeous flowers and placed them in a beautiful way, she could get some more! After all, Ravenclaw needed those points quickly and every single one could help.

Once she saw herself in front of the flowers, she wrinkled her nose. True, those were prettier than the ones that had filled the Common Room, but still, she had seen much more beautiful ones back at home. Ugh, that was going to be harder than she had imagined! First, because she was used to more variety of flowers, second there were far too little colours for her to play with and third, she could not see any white flowers! She needed white ones! Ugh! No wonder the Common Room had had so many ugly ones in it!

Still, Melly had to get those points no matter what. And so, with a sigh, she started picking the flowers. A few deep red roses and a couple violet red other flowers, which names she did not know.

That was ought to be enough. Nodding at herself, she placed them all together carefully and stared at them. At once, a groan escaped from her lips. She had been right all along, white was needed in there or it would look hideous. HIDEOUS! And she would get no points at all for hideous flowers.

Turning around, she bit her lip and looked at the professor. "Erm, ma'am, don't you have any of those tiny white flowers?" She asked. "And some fern as well?"

"Oh yes! That's the baby's breath I was mentioning." She led the way to a sort of odd-looking bush, with stalks filled with the white flowers. "They're always so abundant. As for ferns..." She looked around. She hadn't even thought if it, it seemed! "Oh my! Jimmy, could you retrieve some ferns please?"

The construct saluted to the professor and went on to another part of the greenhouse to retrieve some of the ferns.

'This would be fun' thought Oya as she picked the clippers. She started cutting flowers carefully remembering what the professor said. She picked all kinds of flowers. Green, red, pink , blue, orange.
After arranging all kinds of flowers she was satisfied with the result. She
Gathered her color arrangement together she brought them back to her table.

The construct soon returned, holding a potted fern just on top of him.

"Thank you, Jimmy!" She drank a little more of her coffee then set it aside. "Put it up where there's some free space, would you?"

The thing looked around for a free spot, gave up, then just drifted down so it no longer had hands or feet, being its own table.

"Oh, I suppose that will have to do."

Jai raised her hand "Professor, after you have the flowers you want, what should you do?" she asked looking around from her desk at Professor Korvis.

"Thank you Professor." she replied smiling, looking down at the strange construct thingy by her feet. What an interesting thing Ari thouhgt as she looked around, spotting with she was looking for. With her pink and blue flowers already in her hand, she was able to find a gorgeous red and white flowers, it looked like a daisy but she couldn't be sure. All she knew was it wasn't a flower from the common room. Good thing those ere gone she thought, picking another red and white flower before nodding to herself.

Walking back to her seat she sneezed once more as she picked up some babies breath from the weird thing that was called...Jimmy? and groaned. Hopefully the lesson would be ending soon, she had important homework.

This is stupid was the only thing running through Andrea's head. How were they learning anything useful. she kept her mouth shut though. She hadn't lost any points yet- and she was planning to keep it that way. So instead of voicing her opinion- which she deeply desried too- she picked the flowers.

Roses, Daisies, Lilies- there was many. She found a group of bright orange ones that matched her dreaded hair perfectly. She passed them. She started to cut at some yellow daisies. Then at some purple flower she did not know the name of. She grabbed herself a matte black vase. Something plain- and arranged the flowers.

Once she heard the professor, Melly's cheeks grew hotter and she merely nodded at the woman before picking a bit of baby's breath. Great, she just had to make a fool out of herself right on the first Herbology class. That was just great.

Sighing, she bit her lower lip before placing the baby's breath near the other flowers. Indeed, that made a huge difference for her small bouquet was now beautiful. Well, at least to her eyes it was. Now beaming, the girl tilted her head and started experimenting different positions for the different flowers. No need to include the fern yet since she knew exactly where she'd place that one.

The moment she decided herself, Melina walked towards a pitcher and placed them there, trying her hardest not to let any flower get out of its place. She then picked a bit of fern and placed it around her small arrangement. Hmmhmm, now it was ready. Well, okay, not ready since she was missing the vase and the packet.

"Alright, then! Everyone has the flowers they want? If you haven't already, pick a packet. Fill a vase with some water and add your packet to it! Cover the top with your hand and shake it around good. What you should have left is a wonderful colored gel with bubbles! You can move your arrangement into there, then move them freely in the gel. It will hold them in whatever place you want!"

Jai picked out a long vase and took it along with the packet bak to her seat. Putting the flowers in the vase she arranged them for a test and snipped away a few more inches from the purple dahlias so the fit in properly. Taking the arrangement out she filled her vase with water -using her wand- and poured the packet in. Placing her hand firmly over the mouth of the vase she shook it around as much as it would allow her then she stopped. The water stopped moving. Looking through the vase she saw the gel.

Smiling she set the vase on the table and placed the purple dahlias in first arount the mouth of the vase so the petals rested on the outside in a neat circle of about eight. Next came the Red dahlias she place all five in and found that there was extra space. Rushing back she clipped as far down as her trembling hands would allow and rushed back to her arrangement.

She put the extra flower in the missing space and finished it off with the Sunflowers in the middle.

The smell of this place was bothering Cassandra a lot... She missed professor Erikson, if she knew she'd never see him again... that last term was the last she had with him, she would have parted differently.

She cut her flowers as delicately as she could, purple, white and violet.

Magesta listened to the professor and grabbed a vase and filled it with water. She opened the packet and poured it into the vase. She watched as the water started to turn color and smiled. Picking up the vase she held her hand over the top and shook it until the powder was mixed with the water completely. Setting the vase down she looked at the mixture, it had turned red and had small bubbles in it. Cool.

She picked up the flowers out of the pitcher and into the vase. She then arranged the flowers so that they were evenly spaced and then added some baby's breath and a few of the ferns that the...thing, held. Arranging the yellow-green, orange-red, and blue flowers and greenery so that it was all even she stood back and looked at her work.

The flowers were arranged so no two colors were next to each other giving her the appearance she wanted of the ensemble acting as one. Which Draconis, Sabrina and her were in a manner of speaking and have been since they were little. A few of the baby's breath was at the edge of the vase next to a few ferns and also in between the flowers separating them slightly. One..yet separate. Perfect! She smiled at her work and raised her hand to get the teachers attention. "I think I'm done."

Emily hadn't really hurried through. She had picked a baby blue and white selection, not really caring which was which. She picked a vase - a black, glossy one - and as the teacher instructed them, Emily plucked up a packet, ripped it open, put the powdery substance and the water in it, covered the lid with her hand, shaking it about. Soon, she was finished and as the teacher had instructed, there was some kind of gel... Thing... Whatever it was, it was there, with bubbles.

Emily stuck the flowers in the vase, arranging it so the flowers were all mixed together, and looking around, found some baby's breath and placed it along the rims of the arrangement. In the end was a very pretty arrangement, all blue and white roses in the glossy, black vase with baby's breath sticking out the edges. She was finished. She stood next to it, trying to smile - but she coudln't. She just looked on interestedly as others finished.

Allie grabbed a packet, and filled teh vase with water. She filled it up with water, added the packet, and shook it with her hand covering the top of the vase liek the Professor instructed. The gel turned a red color, and she sae the bubbles in it.
SHe arranged her flowers so that the yellow one was in the center, and the orange-yellow ones surroundded it, with a few of the darker orange flowers mixed in, so that it would not be too bright.
"I'm done, Professor." she said, pleased witht he way it came out. The bright color together reminder her of Summertime, just like she wanted.

Cassandra added a few pink ones and then was finished. Mums were her favorite flowers.

"Professor, Is this alright?" She showed the professor her arrangement:

Jillian picked out a vase that had swirling dark and light colors painted on it beautifully. She put water inside it and added the packet as she was instructed. She covered the top with her hand and shook until there were bubbles! Colorful ones!

She lifted her arrangement from the pitcher to the vase and then brought it up to the professor for inspection. The vase certainly accented her flowers. The light colors of the daffodills and the daisies were brought out by the dark colors of the roses and the baby's breath. The petals of each flower accented each other for some were small and compact while others were loose and wing-like. The colors blended together beautifully, the dark reds of the roses and the violets of the baby's breath complimented the yellow-oranges of the daffodills and the yellows of the daisies and vice versa. It was like a perfect balance.

"Here you are, professor." Jillian said as she presented the vase proudly.

Juniper grudgingly took her safety clippers and approached a plant. So this was what the school had come to. Instead of learning about the care and keeping of plants, here they were dismembering flowers in order to arrange them in vases. Pahh. As long as points were involved, and they weren’t completely killing the plants…

But still. It was mean. Plants have feelings just like people, and animals, Juniper knew. She chose flowers of several different shades of blue and carefully clipped where the stem of the flower met the rest of the plant, trying to disguise her wince as an expression of glee. Meh. Those poor plants.

As Professor Korvis continued giving instructions, Juniper chose a packet and a vase. A grimace crossed her face at the description of what the packet became (bubbly gel? ick!), but she added water to the vase nonetheless. She sped up to complete this part of the task, for she had taken her time cutting flowers. She put the contents of the packet into the vase with the water, then gingerly put her hand across the top. Time to get messy. She shook the vase back and forth for a bit, watching to be sure she did not shake the mixture too much. Finally, the water-and-packet mixture became gel filled with bubbles. Hooray.

Juniper took her blue clipped flowers and gently placed the stems among the bubbles, carefully spreading the flowers to make it seem as if there were more blooms than there actually were. Yay. And hopefully the professor wouldn’t make her have colors other than blue.

“Professor, is it okay that my flowers are all shades of blue? Or do I need other colors, too?” She displayed her vase of flowers, biting her lip as she waited for Professor Korvis’ opinion.

Bella tucked her hair behind her ear and wrinkled her nose as she followed the professor's instructions. Honestly, she wasn't all that much into flowers. Sure they smelled good, but she could never seem to remember to take care of them, and then they always died.

Choosing to use some interesting looking sunflowers, she arranged them in the vase, careful not to knock any of the petals off of the flowers. Standing back a bit, she stared at it. It was missing something? But what? Chewing on her lip, she added a spring or two of greens and tilted her head, well, that looked, lovely actually. She was impressed with herself.

"Professor." she started, looking up from her flower arrangement, "How is this? I do believe I am finished."

Ari stopped and wiped her nose with her pink handkerchief. She didn't know how much longer she could go, not without sneezing a million times and embarrassing herself. Thinking she'd better get a move one she got up and picked her flowers from the large jug of water. She knew just how to arrange them too. With a smile she picked out a clear vase and set to work.

Knowing she had to make a good impression, Ari wasted no time in pouring water into her vase and opening the packet. Pouring the contents inside, Ari closed the hole of the vase and began shaking. When she thought she had shaken long enough, she took her hand off the enclosure and peered inside. The water was now gel like, a misty green sprinkled with white specks. "Cool." she muttered, grinning slightly, looking at the bubbles. Oh yes, much better than flying she thought.

Knowing the gel could harden quickly she began moving her flowers the way she wanted them. Having picked up a pale yellow rose, whose petals were almost as big as her hand, she placed this in the middle of the vase, watching as it stood tall and proud, it's petals glistening brightly. Around this, she placed some babies breath knowing every arrangement. With the babies breath in place, she moved on to placing a single red/white mum near the center, then placed a pink rose beside it, another red/white mum, and another pink rose until she had gone a full circle.

The bouquet was beginning to look cute now, but he wasn't going to cute. no she was going for great! Now came time for the blue and pale yellow. Carefully, she began layering the blue with the yellow roses, knowing how beautiful they looked together. And indeed, they did. The colors highlighted the red and pink of the middle layer, while not contrasting with the yellow of the middle flower. If one were to look down on her bouquet, they'd see a symphony of yellow, pink and blues, with hints of red mixed into it. Perfect.

*Sheeta got back with her arrangement selection and heard the instructions. Sheeta decided she didn't care if it got her in trouble, it was time to show the ministry she wasn't happy with her "assigned learning." She took a packet of gel stuff and vase and set to making a "surprise" for the class.*

"Aquamenti." Water came forth from her wand and it filled the vase.

*Dumping the packet into the vase, Sheeta shook up the vase and the gel was set. She then began to one by one tap each flower with her wand and quietly say, "Glisseo." to make the flowers smooth as glass... including the very decrepit and ugly one she had picked. Sheeta arranged all the flowers in vase and made them look decent enough.*

"Professor, how does my arrangement look? Sheeta smiled deviously, knowing the teacher would more than likely try to pick up the "smooth - as - glass" ugly flower.

Andrea had finally finished her arrangement. Well- as much as she would be happy with it. To other people it would most likely thought to be put well together- but Andrea had a perfectionist side to her, and this was no where near perfect to her.

Most of the flowers were bright yellow daisies. Other yellow flowers popped from underneath them. She carefully placed bright violet flowers- which she didn't know the name of- in with the yellow flowers. Well that was a nice contrast Andrea thought. Long leaves would appear and twirl and go back into the vase artistically. Little white flowers would also make a small subtle appearance. All the flowers were carefully placed in a black vase.

"Professor." She put up her hand and waited for her. "I'm finished."

Anna retrieved a pair of safety clippers and the headed over to the flower collection to pick out the ones she wanted to arrange. There were flowers of all shapes, sizes, and colors, but Anna went right for the red and orange-yellow flowers, thinking they'd look wonderful with some baby's breath spread throughout. Anna then picked out a vase that she thought would compliment the flowers and baby's breath. She used the pitcher to fill the vase with water. When she was sure she had an appropriate amount added in, she poured a packet in, thinking that it was pretty awesome that this potion would freeze the look of her flowers for a week.

Anna looked at the combination of red and orange-yellow flowers she'd chosen. The colors really did work well together. They reminded her of a sunset, something she's always loved to see. The green leaves really helped set everything off and when the baby's breath was added, it would look even better.

Anna covered the top of her vase with her hand and then shook until she was sure the contents of the packet had dissolved throughout. Anna removed her hand and stared at what she'd produce. The mixture looked...weird. It was an odd color with weird looking bubbles brewing all over. Anna shrugged and then set to work to create her arrangement.

Anna started with a red flower and then added in an orange-yellow one. She continued with this process until she a vaseful of alternating red and orange-yellow flowers. She thought it looked pretty that way, because none of the red flowers seemed to be touching each other and none of the orange-yellow flowers seemed to be touching each other. Anna fluffed up a few of the leaves so they could be seen, as well. There were no holes throughout the arrangement. All of the flowers seemed to work well together. Anna grabbed several pieces of baby's breath and arranged them in patterns throughtout the arrangement. She then stood back and admired her work. True, it wasn't what agreed Herbology class should be all about, but at least the flowers were pretty.

Amelia finished clipping off all the flowers she wanted, so she bundled them together in her hand and then picked a packet up with a vase. Filling the vase with water, she added her packet to it and then covered the top with her free hand and shook the potion up. She grinned as it seemed to work, given there were bubbles and all. Putting her flowers into the gel, she arranged them as she thought appropriate and the raised her hand for the professor.

"Professor Korvis? What do you think of my arrangement?" she asked, biting her lower lip nervously. To be honest, she thought it looked very... badger-like.

Torie took her time selecting her flowers. She chose a bright blue chrysanthemum, two white daisies, two tiger lilies, and one large sunflower. Placing the flowers carefully in her vase, Torie added the packet and watched the water change to a brilliant turquoise colour. Smiling happily, Torie stepped back to let the teacher look at her arrangement. It was simple, but it sure was pretty.
