Kerry felt the bag began to move again. "You're a persistant little thing aren't you." Kerry said as she shook the bag to try to settle it down. That's when she noticed the monkey trying to chew it's way through her bag. "Enough already! You've destroyed my books, my homework, my parchements and quill...do you really need to eat my bag, too?" Kerry said as she poked the bag with her wand. "Don't make me use this on you..." she began to threaten as she heard Professor Clark question her.

"No. No mermaid Professor... Although something tells me if there was one, it would be a lot nice than this thing," Kerry muttered, as she shook the bag again in frustration.

"It seems a monkey has joined our class today. It must have heard your classes are amazing and it wanted to see for itself." Kerry laughed, shaking her head.

"Seriously though... this thing just came out of nowhere an made itself a home in my bag. It's already eaten my homework, thrown my quills out and has gone swimming in my ink Professor! Would I lose points if I ready hexed the little thing." Kerry asked as she glared back at her bag. "Not that I would of course..." she smirked said, realizing how cruel that sounded.

"So ummm... what exactly do I do about this anyway? There's no way I'm letting this thing free. And it won't be long til it sets itself free, Professor. It's already beginning to chew through my bag!"

Hearing the voice of the creature that had feed him earlier, he wanted to get out and to go near him. He would probably be safer there than in here. Taking a good bite on the bag hoping he will touch the things that was holding him here, he kept bashing with his tiny hands over and over again.

"Not if you eat the fishy parts!" Really Venefica was driving her nuts! Couldn't she just leave? "Also in Japanese lure if a human eats the flesh of the mermaids (the fishy part), they either become immortal, or they are transformed into monsters themselves called 'lost souls' or the 'poisoned.' This transformation is permanent."

"Oh sure...now you tell me. Thanks Tag! You couldn't tell me this sooner?" Kerry said sarcastically as she immediately stopped shaking the bag, and held it as far away from her as she could, her hands still tightly gripped on the handles.

As Tag spoke up, the monkey seemed to get even more excited. Kerry looked at the bag and then back to Tag. "I think it likes you." Kerry laughed. "As soon as it heard your voice it started going crazy. Just look at the thing going!" Kerry said as she held up the bag and watched it shake as the monkey tried to bite and claw it's way out.

Fabian was waiting for a response from that collective group when out of no where the Ravenclaw captain started yelling about a monkey. Fabian muttered and cursed under his breath along the lines of "everyone is doomed" and "your all gone bloody mental" when it came to him that Tag as referring to a monkey.

A monkey.

"Bloody rotten luck" he barked, and stormed down the asile and it cleared upon him what the shaking reference was all about.

"I bloody well know there wasn't a mermaid in my class" he gritted out, "I'm very confident of my sanity" he looked down at the shaking bag. He shuddered.

"I'm afraid you would lose points kerry if you stunned it, but since the monkey came to enjoy our class, we can cage it in?" his lips twirled into a menacing smile, of course he could think of one hundred and one things to do to this monkey after class. Until then, those thoughts must be frozen.

Clark waved his wand at the windows, shuttering them close. "I'll get a cage from my office, meantime, you make sure this monkey stays in this classroom and try not to use wands on him" his eyes darted towards Tag, "use bananas".

He turned around and stormed out of the classroom closing the door behind him.

Amelia tried not to snicker as Trelawney suggested eating merpeople. Honestly, that girl had some serious issues. Read it somewhere? The insanity magazine doesn't count...

Her attention shifted to the commotion in the back of the room and the next thing she knew, Fabian had left to get a cage for the 'monkey'.

Kemma, sitting two chairs over from Tag, sniggered loudly.

Professor wasn't having a very good day, Kemma surmised. And now they were going to try to capture the monkey again? With the Professor's luck he'd be wearing a live monkey hat before it was all over. Kemma's twinkling eyes slid over to exchange a humorous look with Tag.

Lyra's ears perked up as she heard Fabian say cages. "Run Josh! Cages!" She could not have another outburst of placing him in another cage. Last time was just too much for her and thank goodness he actually still talked to her after that little crazy incident produced by her uncle.

"Well I'm glad somone has their sanity, cause I thought I was losing mine!" Kerry said as she stood there holding the bag closed. "And what do you mean I would have lost points? I caught the monkey! Well sort of anyway." Kerry shrugged. "But still, Gryffindor should get points for that!" Kerry grinned.

"Wait! You're leaving to get the cage? Can't we just summon it here?" Kerry gasped. As she muttered to herself, "Oh yes...make sure he doesn't go anywhere, no problem...let's just hope he hasn't chewed through my bag by then."

Tag's eyes were glued to Kerry's bag, which was rustling and shaking vigorously in her grip. "I gave him fruit before," he explained. "Monkeys have voice recognition, like babies. He probably thinks I have more food." Tearing his eyes away, Tag quickly ripped open his messenger bag and started rummaging recklessly. A few quills went flying, one of them sticking itself in Claudian's shoe.

After a few moments, Tag produced a small bag of Jarvey-Jiggles, three caramels, a stale pumpkin scone, and a single licorice wand. "Here," he picked out the Jarvey-Jiggles. "These are made from fruit. See if he wants one."

His hopeful eyes flickered up to Kemma's. Maybe the potions won't work and I'll get to keep him. Maybe mum will let me keep a monkey if it's potty-trained!

The monkey was now making crying sound. He wanted to get out at all cost. What was doing the nice creature (Tag) and why wasn't he getting him out of there. Trying to make lamenting sound in order to make them open the bag, he stop bagging all over the place.

Josh moved to bust out laughing as he manged to shield some of it into a cough.oh... cages. wouldnt lyra just love to have him in one of those right now.

Oh no!! fabian was going to put kids into the cages!!! yet again. Josh jumped out of his chair and rushed over to kerry." Kerry!!! What did you do to upset the bear?!" he then took her hand and yanked her towards the shaded area of the classroom." What did you do?! He is going to stick you into a cage too." he said then moving to look around the area where the big bad bear had left. he looked back at her seriously as he spoke." we have to get you out of here. You know any short cuts...oh yeah by the way you have a nice firebolt. it flies nice."

"I'd love to give it to him," Kerry said as she took the fruit from Tag, "But if I let it free, it's going to wreak havoc on this classroom. Maybe we should wait for the cage first..."


With the sound of Tag's voice the monkey began to cry and wriggle even more, making it more difficult for Kerry to keep hold of the bag.

"I think it wants you. Here..." Kerry said as she held the bag out for Tag to take. "Let's see what happens when you take the bag." Kerry said out of curiousity. "Anything's got to be better than listening to this squealing."

As Kerry held the bag out towards Tag, she heard a commotion behind her. She saw Josh ranting and raving and looked at him in confusion, "What are you carrying on about? Why would a Professor stick me in a cage? And what do you mean my firebolt flies nicely...what would you know about that? Have you completely lost your mind?"

Tag accepted the bag excitedly from Kerry, then held it gently close to his body so the monkey wouldn't be dangling. Perhaps the warmth and solidity of his fabulous abs would help the creature feel more secure. "Hey buddy," he crooned. "Remember me? Banana boy? Yeah, you know me."

He glanced up in surprise. It seemed it wasn't only the monkey that had gone berserk. "Whoa there, Josh," he cautioned. "Those are some pretty serious allegations, you know. . . kids getting put in cages." Well. Kids that were not currently in the form of wild animals.

Still holding the lumpy bag close, Tag turned slowly to look at Kemma and put one finger up near his ear, making the universal sign for "the candles are lit, but nobody's home".

Claudian saw, watched every second of it, as the quill went flying into the air and stabbed into the toe of his foot. He was stunned for a minute, and then...The Mumbuto stomp.

"GET IT OUT! GET IT OUT!" The large boy was soon flailing with the soul of ten Smokey Robinsons trying to get the quill out of his shoe and looking towards someone, anyone for help.

Josh looked at her as she asked if he was mental." I wasnt the one playing with a monkey!" he sighed as he then added," why dont you feed it chocolate.. it worked with the other one." he really was just trying to save her." Fabian is going to get cages...he will probably stick you in one too!! he didnt look very happy.. with all those points happy rampage he was going on." he then heard her question about her broom. "uh... nevermind. i just borrowed it a few days ago. its a nice broom."

"what! Allegations..Fabian puts kids in cages. i know.. i was there." psh this kid had no idea what the bear was capable of." yeah go back and play with your monkey." he told him as he wasnt there for the traumatizing event.

Xana moved over to Claudian, avoiding his crazy Haitian dance and rolling her eyes inwardly. Honestly... It was just a quill, for crying out loud. She reached down and pulled it out of his shoe. "There, baby. All better." But don't for a minute think I'm going to kiss your foot to make the boo-boo better. she thought, smirking.

Kayla couldn't help laughing at Claudian as she watched Xana remove the quill from his foot. "Honestly Claudian all that commotion over a little quill" Kayla said still giggling.

Trying to push through the opening of the bag, the first thing he saw was clothes and then he recognized the face. This was the nice creature one, the one who gaved him banana. Climbing on him, he tried to hide in his shirt. Maybe in there it will be safer.

Tag gasped as the creature climbed into his shirt (no doubt to get closer to admire his his well-defined six-pack). "Ohhh, cold," he croaked, as the tiny hands and feet crawled all over him. "Whoa. . . eeeeeeee!" he tried not to squeak too loudly, which would scare the monkey. Holy cow, had this fellow been ice-skating barefoot?

He turned to Kerry. "Kerry! I've got a monkey in my blazer!" He desperately wanted to say 'pants' and follow it up with 'and made me do the boogie dance', but he supposed that wasn't cool for a seventeen year old.

"Thank you, Cheri!" He uttered a relieved sigh.




"Thank you, my dear!" Where would he be without these two heroic young ladies.


Claudian couldn't help find himself being somewhat disgusted as Moonson started mouthing off to the Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain. First holding his concert during their premier game, now this...had he no respect at all for the game of Quidditch?

OMG!!!! It was the monkey. Agie looked for Lyra and started giggling. She reached into her bag and handed her a banana, and got another one for herself. "i hope this works. If not, I'm giving up on the monkey and going after the cheetah."


Agie turned and giggled with Lyra and then faced Kerry. "We were hungry." She smirked. "I have nothing to do with it." She grinned. "I promised Fabian to be on my best behaviour."

Kerry had to admit she was a bit relieved to get the bag out of her hands. "Oh well, I didn't need any of the stuff in there anyway. School work and N.E.W.T's are soooo overrated anyway. Think I can use a monkey ate my homework and books as an excuse to get me out out of any of this?" Kerry chuckled as she shook her head. "Better you than me right now. I was two seconds away from strangling that thing." Kerry said as she watched the bag settle.

"So who knew Tag had a thing for monkeys? Maybe he can help you in the consolation game. You think the Huffies would know the difference?" Kerry laughed

As Josh continued ranting, Kerry turned back towards him and rolled her eyes. "What do you mean playing with a monkey? I didn't bring this bloody thing to class! I have no idea how it got here." Kerry said in annoyed tone. "Maybe Fabian needs to stick you in a cage and relieve you of your hysterics! Or perhaps I will put you in there if you don't start talking and tell me why you had my broom!" Kerry glared, as she learned of this for the first time.

Kerry's attention was drawn back to Tag quickly as he gasped. She tried to keep a straight face as she watched Tag squirm. "What would you like me to do? Go in there and get it?! Ummm... I'm afraid you're on you're own on that one." Kerry said as she burst out in laughter.


Kerry heard her sister laughing behind her. "Well that was a delayed reaction." Kerry gasped in between giggles. "Just because you promised to be on your best behavior, doesn't mean you fulfilled that promise." Kerry grinned. "I know how hard it is for you to stay out of trouble no matter how much you promise. Besides... the bananas make you seem pretty guilty here." Kerry said as she began laughing again. For some reason she just couldn't be mad at the situation that had unfolded. She was actually having too much fun.

"Anytime Mr Slughorn, but I didn't do anything" Kayla said with a chuckle. She turned her attention back to the class, which quite frankly was going downhill with the introduction of the monkey, but hey she was all up for the excitment.

The monkey was wondering why the creature was acting strangely all of a sudden. This wasn't something he was expecting but then again, he had no clue how he would react. Deciding to get out of his shirt and to go closer to his face, he watches him with in interrogating looks. Where was the food? Making a series of sound as he tried to communicate with him, the monkey was unsure that he would understand him.
