CoMC Lesson Two :: Dark Creatures
Required Text: The Monster Book of Monsters!
As soon as you enter Care of Magical Creatures classroom you notice a few tanks (mostly resemble fish tanks) scattered around the classroom.
"Take your seat please and open your Monster Book of Monsters to Chapter 4, Dark Creatures, class will start soon!" Fabian croaks to you as soon as he spots you, "and watch for your fingers.. I'm sure they'll come handy for this class".
ooc: Class will commence at 6pm EST (in a few hours time), feel free to RP your character into class, and keep chatting to a minimum. Thanks!
Reminder: Class duration is 24-48 hours so it will be intermittent occasionally to try and cover all time zones.

Emma walked into the classroom. The first thing that caught her eye was the tanks scattered around the room. Great, just what I need, a lesson where there is danger of me getting wet...or worse, knocking over one of those tank things, she thought to herself. She took her seat, took out her book (which was buckled with her belt buckle) and prepared herself for class.

Finn came into class, wearing a knit cap which covered his newly black and yellow hair. He also covered himself in some pants which hopefully would contain the blasted feathers which seemed to trail behind him otherwise.
He had absolutley no idea what was going on, but he was determined after class to ask the professor if he knew about spontaneous transfiguration.

Emily wandered into the CoMC classroom and grinned broadly at Professor Clark on her way past. She eyed the tanks suspiciously, wondering what the heck he had in store for them today. Dark creatures? The was better than snakes anyway - You could certainly never accuse CoMC of being boring.
She wandered to the back of the classroom and sat nearer an older Hufflepuff student whom she gave a small smile before rumaging in her bag for her textbook.

Dia loped into the classroom, grinning widely. Dark creatures were her forte. She took a seat at the very front of the class and got out a quill, a few sheets of parchment, and her textbook (which she hadn't buckled, but just stroked its spine quickly before it could attack), and faced the front of the class, waiting anxiously for the lesson to begin.

Savannah couldn't help but eye one of the fish tanks, slightly, shaking her head slightly to move a strand of hair out of her way; shifting in her seat, the fourth year reached back into her messenger bag that sat at her feet to grab her monster book and set it on the desk. Lexi's still gone. She thought, sighing, and used the scrunchy around her wrist to put her dark hair up into a neat, high ponytail, before working with the book properly to prepare for class to start.

Hermy headed to class, her copy of the required text tucked under one arm. It was sort of held together by a couple of lengths of hefty rope, though she could usually handle it. She headed over to Finn, and smiled happily. She slung her bag on the floor and flicked her hair back from her eyes as she looked at the various tanks.
Holding the book carefully, Hermy stroked the spine and gradually loosened off the rope, watching it wearily.
