Transfiguration - Lesson One Danni sat at her desk, not smiling like normal but instead looking like she was going to be sick. Her wand was on the table infront of her and she gave each student a weak smile as they walked in and took a seat. |
Saylie entered the room and sat near the front. "Hello Professor!" She said cheerily, her smile dimming a bit as she took in the strained look on the professor's face. |
Rapunzel wandered into Transfiguration, early for once. She took a seat near the professor's desk and smiled briefly at her before sitting down. Then she did a double take, noticing how ill she looked. "A-are you feeling okay, Professor?" she asked softly. |
Willow entered and smiled to professor pride. She saw saylie and said quietly "Saylie!, hi there!" taking sit beside her. |
Saylie smiled over at Willow and waved a little, turning back to look at the professor, who was still looking like something was drastically wrong. |
Pauline entered the class ready for her first lesson of Transfigurartion of the year. She smiled at Proffesor Pride as she saw her and waved and took a seat on the second row first seat. Now that she was settled she noticed Proffesor Pride didn't look to good. She tilted her head wondering if she should ask if anything was wrong. Wow she was being caring. So normal. |
Katelyn entered the classroom, and plopped down in a seat near the front. She didnt much like the back, you could barely see. She pulled out her notebook and her quill and scribbled a title across the top of her notebook. She nodded and smiled at the professor, but she didnt notice how sick the teacher looked. SHe had too many things on her mind at the moment. |
Camira entered the class and sat down. She couldn't wait. She loved transfiguration. |
Taika Ai entered the classroom, looking around at everyone, before taking a seat up front. She smiled at the professor before getting her quill, parchment and ink out, just to be ready. Wonder what this lesson is about, she thought as she waited for class to start and the rest of the students to arrive. |
Willow smiled back at saylie before she set her eyes in Professor Pride who was looking weird |
"I'm fine Miss Lavik. Thank you for asking" Danni answered without much feeling. "We will wait a few more minutes, and then we will begin." |
Cynder entered the Transfiguration classroom, a massive and charmed pile of books following his forefront. He hazarded a glance at Professor Pride, his face falling a little at her expression and general body language. She still didn't look like herself, in fact even a little worse for wear than when he had last seen her, albeit a bit calmer. He made his was over to her and said in a low voice, “Um, Professor Pride? I er, retrieved your books. They somehow ended up with the Librarian in the library...” He aimed the books to rest on the floor behind the desk and broke the spell. |
Ariana walked in, a bright cheery smile on her face as she pulled out her wand and stuck it on her desk before looking up at professor Pride. "Hello professor!" she said cheerfully as she sat down and took out her notes, ready for an exciting lesson. She looked up at Professor Pride and frowned, but shrugged and decided to wait it out and see what happened. |
Kayla walked into the transfiguration classroom. "Hello Professor" she said as she passed the table. She made her way over to a desk near the back of the room and away from others and sat down. Hopefully nothing will go wrong in this class she thought. |
Amelia walked into the Transfiguration classroom, smiling. She loved this class and Professor Pride was usually rather entertaining, making class even more worth it - as if the subject wasn't interesting enough. She took a seat in the front row, pulling out her wand and notes. "Hello Professor!" she exclaimed cheefully. |

"Today we will be learning how to conjure something useful, pretty and possibly life saving in certain situations. Anyone care to venture a guess?" |
Camira had no idea. "A bird?" She didn't know why she thought of that. She must have lost her mind. |

"Ummm....could it be a shield of some sort?" Rapunzel asked quietly, raising her hand. |
Ariana raised her hand, "Um, are we going to conjure birds? The Avis spell professor?" she asked, her eyes large. |
Amelia wasn't really sure what the Professor could be talking about, but she raised her hand anyway to guess what it might be, "Er Professor? Would you be talking about bubble-head charms or perhaps animagi?" She wasn't too sure what could be useful and life saving, but both of those things certainly were. Just depends on if it is what the Professor was talking about. |
Saylie thought about it. She had absolutely no idea what to say, so said the first thing that came to mind, "A cup?" |
Quote:
|
Taika Ai pondered the question. What was pretty, useful, and possibly life saving? She couldn't think of anything at all, so she remained quiet. |
Pauline rasised her hand "We are going to conjure something into a tool of some sort" she guessed randomly. |
THe first thing that came to Katelyn's mind was a patronus, but that was far to hard for them to even attempt...so she kept her mouth shut. She wrote down the descripted, and waited for someone to get the write answer so she could write that down also. She tucked some of her hair behind her ears, so as not to bother her as she wrote in her notebook. |
Cynder, now sitting in one of the desks towards the front of the class pondered what it could possibly be. Though having nothing come to mind, he decided to just make a random guess. "Is it maybe element related? Like fire, water, wind, earth or something like that? Everything related to them is usually useful..." He shrugged. |
Rapunzel thought she could guess again. "Could we be conjuring....like cushions? Or a mattress? Or something that would prevent you from breaking your back if you had a hard landing?" she asked rather quietly. |
Pretty, useful, and possible life saving? Amelia was totally confused as to what the topic of today was with what they would be conjuring. If it wasn't birds, bubble-head charm, or animagi, then what was it? She raised her hand cautiously and spoke rather skeptically to the Professor, "Professor Pride? Could you perhaps give us another hint?" |
"Maybe something that could serve as a diversion of some kind?" Saylie still had no clue. |

Rapunzel raised her eyebrows at the cute little fire burning brightly in the jar. She went up to the front, took a jar, and then went back to her seat, not sure if they were supposed to try the spell yet. |
"Oooh, that is pretty!" Saylie got up and got a jar, quickly returning to her seat. "Inferell, Inferell" she repeated, committing the word to memory. |
Christian got up and went to the front and picked up a jar. He watched her demonstrate as he picked up the glass. He proceeded back to his seat and sat down. "That's so cool." He said softly eyeing the blue flame. Inferell. Inferell. He was not going to burn himself like the he did last term with the flowers. |
Sini was excited at the thought of learning how to make portable fire, that was sure to come in handy at some point in time. She sat waiting to hear what Professor Danni had to say. |
Ari's eyes went wide with excitement and she gasped slightly, "I've been dying to learn how to do this for months!" she exclaimed gently before covering her mouth and blushing, as she got up and shuffled towards the cardboard box, picking up a glass container before sitting back down. She looked up expectantly and waiting, still blushing. |
"Feel free to try this out when you wish, the wand motion is sort of a flick and jab. And to add to the mood..." Danni put fires into three more jars and placed them in each corner of the room then, flicked her wand and all the shades closed pitching the room into darkness, the only light was the soft blue light coming from the fires in the jars. |
Kayla walked up to the front and picked up a glass jar and returned to her seat. She flicked and jabbed her wand at the jar and muttered the spell. "Inferell" there were a few sparks that crackled momentarily and then died. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes and concentrated hard. "Inferell" she said more clearly and confidently flicking and jabbing her wand again. There was a flash of light and then little blue flames were dancing inside the jar. Kayla smiled enthusiastically at her triumph. |
Quote:
Snapping out of his thoughts, he went to retrieve one of the glass jars and waited for further instructions, a sheepish grin still on his face at his very Slytherin ideas. |
"Ooh...." Rapunzel murmered. Nice mood. If only a certain someone was here.... She refocused on her jar and then flicked and jabbed her wand while muttering "Inferell!" A soft flash of blue sparked from her wand but flickered away. Rapunzel frowned and tried again. "Inferell!" she said more sternly, and this time a tiny blue flame took hold in the jar. |
Sini walked to the front of the room retrieved a glass jar. Turning to return to her seat she heard the Professor Danni begin to talk and she saw the light dim around her. This was all so exciting! She sat down at her desk again and awaited instructions. |
Saylie almost squealed in excitement. The professor had closed the shades, casting a lovely blue glow around the room. Grinning, she picked up the jar, placing the tip of the wand inside it. "Inferell!" She said, quite enthusiastically. A faint blue spark was emitted from her wand. She titled the jar and frowned into it, sure enough, the tiny spark was glowing at the bottom. Still frowning, she focused all of her attention onto the jar, "Inferell!" Sure enough, the blue flames practically leapt to life in the jar. Setting the jar on her desk she leaned towards it...watching as the rest of the class succeeded, the flames were slowly filling the room with their brilliant, beautiful, blue light. |
Ari closed her eyes as she placed the glass jar in front of her, wand beside her and sat there, taking slow deep breaths to calm herself before attempting anything like this. She opened her eyes a few moments later when she thought she heard someone shouting her name and looked around, frowning before shrugging and looking back at her glasses jar. "Ok, let's try this out." she said, glancing at her wand, then back at the empty jar and whispering "Inferell...Inferell..." She kept whispering it a few times, getting it memorized in her mind before attempting the spell with her wand. She didn't want to accidentally set someone's robes on fires. |
Cynder loved the dark, the Dungeons and Slytherin Common Room were always quite dim, so he felt right at home with the darkness and the eerie flickering blue light. One might even say it suited him. He pulled his wand from his robes and pointed it at the jar. "Inferell!" He said and gave a little jab. Apparently he was just a tad too forceful, because the flame bounced off of the jar's back and straight towards him. He dodged it, and charmed it back and into the jar. "Ok, next time no jab..." he muttered. Cynder then examined the flame more closely, it really was marvelous. Though he couldn't help the thought of "if only it could be green... That'd be wicked cool." |
Finished with memorizing the spell, she picked up her wand and began to practise the wand movements, flick and jab, flick and jab, flick and jab. flicking and jabbing her wand a few times, and after dropping it on her toe she felt she was ready enough to start. Taking a deep breath, she put the glass jar in front of her and flicked and jabbed her wand saying ""Inferell!" in a soft voice, concentrating. At first nothing happened. a small blueish spark lit the inside of the jar, but nothing more. "Okay, one more time." she said to herself, flicking and jabbing and saying in a stronger voice, "Inferell!" the jar lit up with a small blue flame, which cast a wicked cool glow on her face as she looked down at it. Such an awesome color she thought with a grin. |
Taika Ai gulped. Today just wasn't her day. First Herbology with the heating spell and now this! Fire was out to get her! She retrieved a glass jar and watched as other students began waving their wands and shouting spells. Returning to her seat, Taika Ai stared at her jar. How was she supposed to do this? Actually make fire? She would just have to pretend it was the kind of fire she could create underwater. That was all. "Inferell," she breathed, flicking her wand and then jabbing. She'd closed her eyes so was very surprised when a soft warmth swept over her face. She opened her eyes and her jaw dropped. A blue flame was dancing merrily in her jar without a care. She smiled. "I did it," she murmured. How she'd done it she wasn't sure; in Herbology it had taken her four times to get the heating spell right. |
Ryan took hold of his jar. He sort of swept it off the desk...because he wanted to look cool. His cloak almost swept the jar off th table, but using his quick reflexes, he saved the jar. "Whew," he whispered. "That was a close one." He looked around the room, rather gopher-like. Or is prairie dog-like a better description? No matter. He looked around the room, all the same and watched what other people were doing. Scrunching up his face, he stuck his wand in the jar. That was an awkward angle for his wrist. Concentrating hard at the task at hand, he stuck his tongue out and half-licked his upper lip. "Inferell?" he said, unsure of himself. I blue spark erupted from his wand tip, and Ryan jumped, thinking the bottom of the jar was about to blow off. He let out a muffled yelp before trying again. Must be it, he thought. Sticking his wand back in the jar, muttered the incantation. "Inferell." He said it with much more confidence. Almost immediately, his jar was filled with the beautiful blue, ballet-dancing flames. (I had to go for the alliteration :shifty:) "Ooooohhhhh," he mused. "Excellent...." |
Samson admired the flame that the professor cast with a small smile, as he sat in silence. When they were asked to cast the spell themselves, he grinned widely. Oh, Gavin will love this spell, he thought to himself as he recalled the mischief they made, and would probably continue to make as long as they studied here. He siezed the jar in front of him, flicked and jabbed his wand and muttered, 'Inferell'. A few small balls of flame errupted from his wand, much to his dislike. He frowned. 'Inferell!' he said again, loudly and more insistently this time. To his relief, the flame filled the jar and he grinned proudly to himself. "Perfect," he told himself, setting his wand beside it and admiring it as he propped his chin on his hands. |
Issy sat in awe as the Professor placed the little blue fires around the room; she also saw other kids in the class with little blue flames in their jars. They were so pretty but kinda eerie. Issy turned to her own jar, raised her wand and muttered "'Inferell!". Nothing happened. Issy flicked and jabbed, and flicked and jabbed, no fire appeared in her jar. She was starting to get frustrated, things like this usually came to her very easily. She looked over to Katelyn, who she'd sat next to, "Hey Kate, do you get this?" She frowned and tried again. Flick, jab, flick, jab. |
Cassandra looked at her jar and with her wand in her left hand she Flicked and jabbed at the professor had done. "Inferell!" She said and created the bluebell flame on her fourth try. |
Taylie walked up to the front of the class and chose one of the glass jars. She returned to her seat and picked up her wand. She stared at the jar with the wand shaking in her hands. " Fire! They want me to make fire?" She thought. After gathering her courage she directed her wand at the jar. 1...2...3...flick and jab. On the jab she hit the jar and knocked it on its side. Taylie looked at it horrified for a moment, then she began to laugh. She decided to try agian and flick and jab. "Inferell" she said. A little blue flame jumped from her wand into the jar. Taylie clapped her hands together excitedly. |
Claudian feared this all year. He was a lump of lord-have-mercy when it came to Transfiguration. Taking a quick, deep breath in he went over, took a jar and unscrewed the lid. He drew out his 13" white poplar and tried the swishie jabbie motion, but he didn't say anything. He took a step back and gathered his thoughts and concentration. "It's just a little flame spell.", he told himself as if it should not be that hard. "Inferell!" He said aiming his wand inside the jar. It took him more than enough tries, but he could finally manage it, if not weakly. |
"Ooh, a really cool one, a waterproof fire.", Reign whispered to herself. As she took a deep breath she released the words, "Inferell", a weak fire had appeared. A little dissapointed, she waved her wand again with great urge to do good, she muttered once more, "Inferell", she smiled for fire she made was not feeble rather glowing. |
Antigone placed her wand in the jar she had been given, hoping that her spell would work. "Inferell," she said quietly. A small, blue spark appeared, but it died a moment later. Antigone tried once more, with a hint of urgency to her voice. "Inferrel!" This time, several sparks flamed up, lasting only a minute longer than the spark of her previous attempt. Antigone sighed. Just once more, she thought. She once again flicked and jabbed her wand, saying the spell sharply. A blue flame at once appeared. Antigone smiled. She could do this! |
Seth pointed his wand to the jar and said "Inferell". At first, nothing happened, but shortly after a blue flame appeared inside the jar. Seth was thrilled! |
Emily watched as the other students created their blue flames in the jars on their desks. ‘Boring,’ She thought to herself with a yawn. She had thought transfiguration was going much more interesting than this. Emily already knew a bit of basic magic thanks to her brothers, and this really was basic stuff. She pointed her wand into the jar and with a flick and a jab she muttered lazily “..Inferell..” A blue flame appeared in the jar. ‘big deal’ She thought narrowing her eyes and looking around at the other students who appeared to be thrilled by their little blue lights. She rested her chin on her fist and looked over at Katelyn and the other Ravenclaw girl sitting next to her to see what they were doing. |
"Inferell!", Willow muttered. nothing happened, "inferell!", she said for the second time, "inferell!" she said loudly now rather angry and to her surprise, a blue shiny flame appear in the jar. She beamed broadly. |
Tori was excited. She finally got to try a real transfiguration spell. She pointed her wand at the jar and firmly said, "Inferell!" Tori was delighted when a bright blue flame appeared in her jar. "I did it!" she exclaimed. "On my first try!" She grinned, looking around the classroom. When she realized none of her friends were there, she quickly looked down, hoping no one had seen her display of pride. |
Arian hoped she'd be able to do this spell - after all, she knew that Transfiguration hadn't been one of Ryan's best subjects. Maybe this was how she could point out to Laylee that she WASN'T Ryan's clone. 'Inferell!' Arian said clearly, pointing her wand. Nothing. Ah. No such luck. |
Gwen smiled at the merry blue flames dancing in the jar. So pretty, she thought. Might like to keep some of these on the nightstand. Perhaps in a nice crystal vase.... The flames flickered on her face as she gazed at Professor Pride. It was a good thing that lights were down, so she could watch her without the suspicion on her face being very noticeable. She had been sure that she'd never see the Professor again, yet here she was teaching a class, looking quite sick and stiff. |
Sanglant grabbed a glass jar from the front of the room and moved back to his seat. He attempted to put the flames in his jar several times, but not until the 4th try did he successful cast the spell. "Very cool professor." |
Will stared hard at the empty jar he'd collected. He raised his wand, and concentrated on it. He spoke clearly and firmly, whilst giving his wand a slight flick and jab. "Inferell!" A blue, flickering flame was briefly exposed in the jar, but then it faded with a quiet poof and silent sizzle. "Ah..." Will cleared his throat and repeated the spell and wand motions. "Inferell!" This time, the flame stayed for about a second, before fading once more. Will sighed, and tried again. This time it simply flickered and died. "Professor--" Will raised his hand into the air, the other absently being run though his Cyan coloured hair. "--am I doing anything wrong?" |
Jolie arched her eyebrows at how fascinating the teacher performed the spell. She smiled and grabbed a jar from the front. Placing it in squarely on her desk Jolie aimed her wand and said quietly, "Inferell!" Nothing happened. Jolie frowned and tried several more times. Each time she emphasized the word inferell more. Finally on what seemed like the forty-second time Jolie got a small blue flame to appear. She glowed and kept trying the spell until she got it just right. |
"Inferell!" Helios smiled charmingly as he watched the blue flame dance in the jar. With bright blue eyes, the eleven year old warrior prodded the fire with the tip of his wand, stirring it around after finding it slight malleable. "Curious." The prince dug around in his bag for his water skin. Helios knew to be prepared if he ever got thirsty. Being near the back of the class, he was not worried about the professor noticing his little experiment. Ever so slowly he poured the water onto the table top until a small puddle formed, and with a quick glance around the room, he slowly poured the bluebell flame from the jar onto the water. A mischevious grin lined his young face as he watched the fire float like oil. "Greek fire." |
Antigone glanced over and saw a boy who appeared to be making his fire float. Why wasn't it going out? Suddenly, it clicked in the young girl's head. Of course the fire would float, it was waterproof, and much less dense than liquid! Why hadn't she thought of it? She turned to her own bag, rummaging through the books and papers, and taking out her water bottle. She carefully tipped her fire into the neck of the bottle, where it slipped in and floated on the clear liquid. Antigone slowly turned the water vessel, examining the floating blue fire from all angles. It was more fun to look at then a lava lamp, and it didn't even move. |
Vigilant towards eyes watching him, Helios caught sight of a Ravenclaw girl testing out his fire on water trick. With a smile and a nod in her direction, the boy went digging in his bag once again. This time he produced some dragon leather gloves. Pulling them on tight, the crafty boy scooped up a handful of the water with blue fire on top. Before the flaming mixture could drip from his fingers, Helios quickly tossed it to his other hand. Back and forth, from hand to hand, the flame went. Soon enough he was juggling two flames. What started as a curious experiment soon became a show for at least his entertainment. |
Emily looked over at the Hufflepuff showing off with his flame. “Attention seeker..“ She thought to herself “Why can’t he just get on with it like the rest of us?” She rolled her eyes and looked back over at her own blue flame.. |
Willow raised an eyebrow to the little show that a hufflepuff boy she had never seen before had put on, "show off" she muttered to herself |
Christian pointed his wand into the bottom of the jar and said strongly, "Inferrel!" The bluebell flame was in the bottom of the jar and Christian looked at it with amusement. His eye caught the juggling blue flames from the Hufflepuff boy. His eyes sharpened as he heard comments around him about the antics. "That's rather cool." He said and sat back in his seat, watching the sight, the blue flame from his jar causing his pink eyes to sparkle marviously. |

Noticing Helios showing off was not helping Krissy's anxiety. She wasn't very confident with her wand yet. after staring at her jar for a few moments Krissy took a deep breath and pointed her wand at the bottom of her jar. "Inferell!" she shouted. Bright blue flames sparked up in the bottom of her jar. "It worked! Brilliant!" Krissy said giddily. |
Helios was looking a bit bashful when he realized that people were watching. Some in amazement. Some thinking he was a show off. Tossing the twin flames into the air from each hand, he let them collide and meld into one globule of blue fire. Catching it with one of those dragonhide gloves, the prince clasped the other hand atop it. Were they still watching? Maybe he was a show off. Putting those joined hands together to his puckered lips, he gave a gentle blow. Out the other end came a big blue, flaming bubble that would float gently on the air. With an innocent whistle he would pretend he didn't notice anyone was watching... |
"Ugh," Ryan scoffed. What a show-off, he thought. That's not necessary at all, and completely detracts from the lesson. Firsties.... He shook his head and turned back to his jar, which was now serving as the humble abode the a bright flame, flickering and dancing with the slightest disturbances in the air. |

Kayla quickly scribbled on a piece of parchment; You are such a show off but it was bloody brilliant. She folded it up neatly and threw it onto Helio's desk. |
Easing up next to Helios Krissy brought he jar of fire with her. "You're scarily talented, you know that?" she laughed. "Look I got it with the first try! Me mum would be so proud! Of course, I'm not nearly as talented as you, but this is a start. Though when I come into my own I won't be such a show off" she chuckled. Krissy suddenly felt silly for thinking Helios would care about her small success when he could juggle fire. Water was more of her thing to control anyhow. she sighed. |
Isla was still stumped, she turned to Ryan, "Hey Ryan... Can you show me, umm, how? I don't get it..." She smiled at him hopefully; she was usually best in class; asking for someone to help her wasn't something she did often. "Would you mind?" She pointed to his own jar which had a flickering blue flmae inside it, "You seem to have gotten the jist of it..." |
Quote:
Kayla took out another piece of parchment and began to write again; Dear Kristyn, I sincerely want to apologise for snapping at you in DADA before. I truly didn't mean it, I haven't had the best start to term and all these bad things seem to be happening to me. I really hope you didn't take offence, I was really hoping we could be friends. Please take these sugar quills as a gesture of friendship. Kayla Kayla folded up the parchment and lightly tossed it onto Kristyn's desk. |
Quote:
He grabbed his own jar. Well, more of knocked it over (again) and caught it before it rolled off (again). "Umm, well, I just stuck my wand in the jar like this." He poked the tip of his wand into the jar. The flames licked his wand, and he winced. Oh yeah, he remembered. These flames shouldn't harm my wand. Thank goodness! "So then I just concentrated really hard on heat and fire. I thought of the fireplace in the common room, actually. Just think of a gentle, yet powerful fire. Imagine it balling up and turning a brilliant blue. Now cast the spell. Say 'Inferell' rather firmly. That should do the trick, I hope." Even more blue flames shot out of his wand and were added to the already growing orb in his jar. He raised his hand and asked, "Professor, how would we, umm...dispose of these? Well, maybe not dispose, but just make them go away?" He relaxed and sat against the back of his chair. These must have cushioning charms on them, he pondered. They're MUCH more comfortable than those hard Muggle-school chairs. |
Quote:
"Kayla, It's alright, we all have hard days. That wasn't my best day either. I'm not a fan of sugar quills, but thank you so much for the kind offer. Of course I would love to be your friend. Cheers! Kristyn Moon" folding the parchment once more Krissy tossed it back to Kayla. |
Quote:
Isla couldn't help but laugh as Ryan knocked over his jar, "Oops!" She made to grab it but he caught it first, "Oh right! So you actually have to picture fire in your mind?" Issy looked at her jar and imagined a little ball of pretty, blue fire in it, "Inferell!" She said in a sing-song voice, obviously you had to be very serious, "In-Fer-Ell!" She commanded the jar while jabbing it with her wand. A blue spark shot form her wand and scorched a little black mark on the table, "Uh-oh..." Issy bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut, "Inferell." She said simply to the jar, whene she opened her eyes, alittle blue flame played inside of it, "YES!" She yelled and leapt over to RYan throwing her arms around him, she then realised what she was doing, "Ah-hem, well, um, sorry. Umm, thanks for showing me..." She trailed off, her cheeks bright red, "I'll just carry on, over here..." |
Quote:
After she successfully managed the blue beauty, he added, "And you too, apparently. Good job!" He smiled encouragingly and was a bit shocked when she hugged him. "Yes...you're quite welcome. Well, keep up the excellent practicing!" His voice trailed off as he headed back to his area of practice. |
Quote:
Kristyn, I would love to talk to you perhaps after class as I have already been in trouble once for talking in this class. Sorry you don't like the sugar quills, I have chocolate frogs maybe they would be better. Kayla She folded it up and floated it back to Krissy's desk. |

Taylie picked up her jar and ran over to Kristyn. "Hey, look what I did. I was really scared but it worked. Hey you did it too, cool." She sat down near Kristyn and curiously began to watch Helios' antics. |

"Amazingly it only took me two tries. I think the first time my problem was that I kinda closed my eyes so I knocked the jar over. That probably helped me get it the next time because I was more relaxed, I guess. Yeah, totally a showoff but it's really cool. If I was braver I would probably try it too." Taylie said leaning towards Kristyn, then glancing down at the note she said." Hey I if that girl gives you some chocolate frogs I want some, okay." |
Quote:
" It only took me one try, and I was shocked! I'd love to try Helios' trick, but I'm not very good with fire. Water is more my element." |
Quote:
"Thank the Gods of chocolate for creating this hopping, chocolatey treat." Taylie said accepting the treat. "Oh and thank you too, you are a gentlewoman and a scholar.' |
Stifling a laugh Kristyn looked at Taylie near tears from suppressing her laughter. "You are so weird Taylie." picking up her jar of blue flame she watched it dance. "The way the fire moves reminds me of the ocean after a storm... but I don't think I've ever been near the ocean. `Cept when I was a bairn that is." Kristyn looked at Taylie perplexed. "D'yeh ever get the feeling yeh've forgotten a memory?" Blowing into the jar lightly Krissy watched the flames get smaller and then rise to their original height. |
Quote:

"Maybe they used wooden boxes. Not the best way to contain fire, but it would do if the flame had to be conjured in a container." Helios spoke with his eyes on his flaming bubble that was gradually growing smaller as the water burned away, gently prodding it about with his wand tip. Once the bluebell flame dwindled down to the size of a gumball, the attention seeking prince tossed it into his mouth using his wand. "Definitly an interesting spell. Simple, useful, fun." He burped, a small gout of flame coming from his mouth. "Excuse me." Now he was looking bashful. |

Sam squinted in the blue light, he stepped forwards trying to find the glass jars and managed to trip over a chair. Picking himself up, an embarrassed smirk on his face, Sam found the box of jars and drew one from the box. Sam tried to find his way back to his desk, being much more careful and sat down. He unscrewed the lid and pushed his feet far out in front of him. Now let's see... "Inferell!" he said forcefully his mind imagining the blue flame flickering in the jar. A great flare of blue light issued out his wand, hitting the bottom of the jar and flaming wildly. Sam felt the heat on his face and quickly sat up straight, clasping the lid on the jar. He smirked silently, picking up the flame jar. He tapped the lid a few times and felt the lid tighten slightly. |
Making a fist and knocking it against his chest, Helios belched a little plume of smoke before speaking. "It surely did not taste cool. Perhaps the bluebell flame was originally created to be conjured in a container that held water. It would explain its buoyancy." Holding a flat palm to his mouth, the prince attempted to smell his breath. "I could be wrong. I do not know much about it. I just enjoy playing with the stuff." The boy with the golden hair smiled as he shrugged his shoulders. |
"And here I thought you knew everything dear Prince." Krissy said sarcastically with a chuckle. "I'm kidding, don't take offense." She twirled her hair around her fingers looking at Helios' face.
