Divination 1 - Bibliomancy Professor Blaylock stood in a sunny corner of the North Tower, she had opened all the windows to let in the wonderful sunshine and fresh air in. The entrance to the tower was open, and any moment now, she expected to see the students' heads appearing as the climbed up the step-ladder. Several round tables were scattered around the room, with colourful pouffes and beanbags for the students to sit comfortably on. On each table sat a random pile of books, just waiting and ready for the students to go through them later. OOC: Just post yourself coming into the class and taking a seat. I'll start when there are enough students in attendance. |
Ebony walked into the divination classroom. She gave a polite smile to the Professor before taking her seat. This wasn't her best class, but she still tried her best. Taking out a notebook she prepared herself for class. |
Re-adjusting her deep, purplish bag on her shoulder, Tia entered the classroom, noting that she was one of the first students inside. "Good afternoon, Professor," she said politely to Professor Blaylock. The class was relatively empty, and she shrugged to herself as she quickly slid into a seat in the front row. After all, she did like Professor Blaylock a lot. As she took a roll of parchment, quill and ink, and placed it in front of her, she hoped against hope that the lesson would be an interesting one. Not that she doubted that, of course. How could she, after having met the Professor earlier? |
Leo walked into the class amazed of what he is seeing.He knew that this was going to be one of his favorite classes. As he walked around Leo saw the professor and smiled "Hello Professor.I hope your class will be very interesting " he told her happily as he walked to his seat and sat down waiting for the other students to come in. |
Eliza walked into the classroom,she loved Divination completely so she took a bean-bag near the front. "Hello Professor!How are you?"she asked politely. |
Neva climbed into the classroom, looking flustered after having just chased her very irate kitten around the castle. She greeted the professor before finding herself a lovely purple bean bag and collapsing onto it, her bony frame creaking slightly as she got herself comfortable. |
mich made her way into the classroom, she found an empty table and got her things ready for the lesson |
Pauline walked into the Divination class and saww the Proffesor "Hello Proffesor" She said and took a seat and waited for the next intructions. |
Tails entered the classroom. Not seeing anyone she new, she proceeded to the back of the class and took a seat. She pulled out a notebook and a pen and began to draw out of bordem. She hoped some people she knew would show up. |
Marie walked inside the classroom. Politely she gave a smile at professor Blaylock & then, as usual, she walked toward the back of the room. She had took an habit to do so. She open her bag & put her bottle of ink, a quill & a piece of parchment on her desk. She was happy that she wasn't the only Gryffindor in the room. Then she waited for the lesson to started |

Hunter walked into the class and smiled politely at the Professor. He took a seat and made himself a little comfortable, like the Professor said. He looked around the room, taking in the decor. Then his eyes fell on the pile of books in front of him. Excellent! |
Prancie Strolled into the classroom happily. She was excited to meet the new teacher. It was weird that it was her, Prancie's, last year and here was a brand new teacher that she wouldn't get to spend more then a year learning from. She decided to greet the new professor after class, and so she sat down cheerily and took out parchment and a quill. |
Tas walked into the classroom smiling at Professor. She never attended Divination before, it was her first lesson in her third year and Professor Blaylock seemed very nice. "Hello, Professor", she greeted the woman taking her seat. |
Serena stepped into the classroom, bidding the professor a cheerful hello. Turning, her eyes settled on a very familiar face and she smiled brightly. Meandering her way through the students, she took a seat next to him in a rather comfortable beanbag "Hello there." |
Hunter smiled at Serena as she took a seat next to him. "Hello," he said quietly. "Should be quite a class," he added with a wink. He was determined to get Ravenclaw some points. Afterall, he couldn't let Gryffindor win! |

Eliza giggled As if i'd ever fall sleep in class! she thought happily,messing with a strand of hair that had fallen lose from her hair which was tied up tightly into a ponytail. Eliza had gotten glasses over the summer so she had them resting on her lap incase they will need to read the books.Eliza had re-designed them so they had red and yellow striped frames,she wanted everything she owned to have the Gryffindor colours on them. |
Emily walked into the Divination classroom holding her bag and she sat down in a seat quietly. She smiled at all the students but didnt say anything. |
Natalie smiled at the students and Professor, then spotted Eliza. "Hey Eliza!" she greeted taking a seat next to her. |
Vruk walked quickly inside the classroom.He hoped he was not too late.He then find a place to sit and put his bag on the floor.He looked up to the professor and waited for the lesson to start. |
Professor Blaylock clapped her hands to get the student's wandering attention. "Okie dokie, I believe it is time to begin now. First things first, let me introduce myself. I am Professor Blaylock, and this is my first term teaching Divination at Hogwarts." She walked around the class, watching the students carefully, "Now...what is Divination? Why is it so important that we study this subject? Who needs to know what will happen in the future? Who would actually want to know? These are some questions that may have crossed your mind...and that is what this class is for. We will try to...explore the many possibilities of the future." She stopped in the center of the circular room, "Who can tell me what Divination is? Do not be afraid of trying, if you do not know the answer. Anything is possible." |
Vanessa sat in her front row seat with her quill ready to begin taking down notes. Vanessa didn't know much about divination so she decided to wait to see if there was something she could answer later. |
Eliza smiled "Nat!You came!!Brillaint!""She closed her hand around her glasses ,she didn't want her friend knowing she had to wear glasses. I don't want to look different!she thought shyly. Eliza's hand shot up "Divination is known as the prediction of the future ,There are many types of divination ;palm reading and crystal balls." |
