Ravenclaw Locker Room and Practice Area Welcome to the Ravenclaw Locker room. Along the wall you see lockers to store your school robes during matches. You see loads of magical pictures displaying past Ravenclaw players. There is one of Roger Davies on his broom flying high over the Quidditch Stadium. Another one show Bradley dodging a bludger. Cho Chang is shown holding a snitch she caught to seal a Ravenclaw victory. You can see Aris performing a outstanding save to keep a Ravenclaw lead. A picture of Ron Potter, last year's captain has joined the wall displaying all Ravenclaw captains from the past years. Ravenclaw colors of blue and bronze are everywhere. New Quidditch equipment and robes are here for the new team to wear and use. There is a entrance to the pitch too. Come in, take a seat, and sign the clipboard going around. This is an open tryout. Past members do not yet have a spot on the team. All positions are currently open. Flexibility, participation, talent, and sportsmanship will combine to decided the positions on the team. Sportsmanship is valid for the Ravenclaw team. We all need to agree that not every call will go our way and move on. The Ravenclaw captain is in charge here. They will inform me of any problems. After you sign the clipboard, you need to wait until your captain explains how tryouts will held. Name: Year : Position: Quidditch experience: Here is where you hold team meetings and practice. Only Ravenclaw students may post here. After tryouts have been held and Ravenclaw has a set team only those members may post here. Any student from another house posting will lose house points. |
Serilda Calligahan 1st Keeper I played a couple of times before, right after I got my letter from Hogwarts. I thought that if I was good at Muggle sports why not try out for a wizarding sport. Apparently I have a knack for it; I found keeper was my best position since that's what I am most comfortable there and also it is very similar to the position I play in football/soccer. I love pretty much all sports; I love the pressure and the rush of Quidditch when you're in the air and making a play. |
Name: Emma Sousa Year : 1st Position: Chaser Quidditch experience: Reading about every book in the library on Quidditch and having long conversations about it with other students. I also played with a kid's team. I found out I was a witch really early, even though my parents were Muggles. A kid in my neighborhood dared me to try to fly on a broomstick (she was a witch) and it turned out I could. Since then I've been flying everyday of my life pretty much. |
Name: Cielo Lovegood ("Lo") Year: 1st Position: Chaser Quidditch Experience: Little league from age 5-8. From there I play with family every chance I get. I also played soccer and Lacrosse as a 'forward' (same position as chaser) from age 9-12 |
Name: Rosa Ivory Year : 4th Position: seeker Quidditch experience: I was reserve-player last term |
Name: Kali Hillcroft Year : 7th Position: Chaser Quidditch experience: Experienced. I've played nearly all the past terms there has been Quidditch (for the people that remember). I started on the reserve team and progressed to main team and hope to keep that spot. I also know all of the rules thoroughly. Go Ravenclaw! |
Name: Matt Colburn Year: 1st Position: Seeker Quidditch Experience: I have flown since I was about 4 and I have played on other teams since I was 6. I have been Seeker every year on the teams I played for and I caught the snitch in almost every game I've played. Now that I am at Hogwarts I would like to be Ravenclaws Seeker and just because I'm a first year doesnt mean anything, I am still a very good seeker. I also have studied and know all of the rules to the game. |
Name: Romy Kedavra Year: 2nd Position: Beater Quidditch experience: I can good fly. And I like the position as a beater! I'm alwasy a beater. |
Name: Emma Cole Year: 1st Position: Chaser Past Experience: As my Dad is a Wizard, I have grown up alongside the sport of Quidditch. Since I was 4, I've been playing the sport with family and friends, and even on some teams. And with my mom, a fanatic of the game of soccer in the muggle world, I've also been playing as a forward (same as Chaser) since 4, this position requires the same skills, quick thinking, strength, good aiming and agility. I know a lot about the sport, it's history, it's most valuable players, Harry Potter, Viktor Krum and Ronald Weasley are my personnal favorite and all of it's teams! I might be young but, that doesn't take away the talent. All I can do on the team is improve. Besides, you don't want a team full of 5th, 6th and 7th year players because the players in the following years won't be as experienced! |
Franki 1st Seeker I've played little quidditch matches with my friends hundreds of times. And after a while I got really good at catching the snitch! |
Mariel Fay 3rd Chaser Experiance: I have been flying since i was very young but havent play quidditch for Hogwarts. I play with my older siblings and during holidays. When I wasnt at hogwarts i played quidditch for the neighborhood team, which does fairly well during summer holidays.i also have read the quidditch rule book almost religously and know the rules. |
Zekk Thunder 5th Beater He has mixed experience as a chaser and a beater. While never playing at Hogwarts he has flown when he could. He isn't as skilled as some but he sure can hit a bludger. He used to play baseball through his youth, before finding out he was a wizard. He was always the slugger on the team. |
Jake Cohen 5th Keeper Jake has played with the house team for the following two terms after his cousin had past awayed. He was chosed as Co-Capt for the last few terms. He had been in sports all his lifetime which required speed and agility. He also has quite the exp with all the rules and regs. He was also asked by england to join the junior league. |
Kay picked up the clipboard and read the names of Ravenclaw students who had signed up thus far. She sighed and sat the clipboard down. Taking out a sheet of parchment, she began to write out the tryout schedule so that she could contact everyone who was interested in playing for the house team. After scribbling on the parchment for several minutes, she took out a fresh sheet of paper and wrote a short announcement which she posted on the team's announcement board. Quote:

Mithos Yggdrasil 4th Year Beater Last year was the first year I ever had a flying lesson since a fatal accident that occurred to me when i was young. Luckily, I was able to learn to fly and overcome certain fears. I played all year last year and during the summer. I have always been very good at throwing, it is a way to release my anger. I have perfect eye vision and excellent aim. I'd like to request , if I make the team, to stay on the reserve team. This is just a way for me to be a Ravenclaw but the House Cup comes first. |
Name: Alexis Summers (Lexy ^_^) Year : 5th Position: Seeker Quidditch experience: Lexy is very experienced--she has been on the quidditch team ever since her second year (not including the years there was no quidditch, of course ^_^) as reserve beater, and the previous year as seeker. She's played with her brother as long as she could remember, and it has always been her passion. A skilled flyer, she knows the gameplay and rules by heart, and you can always see her at the stands cheering her head off ^^ |
Name: Kyle Broadmoor Year : 4th year Position: Beater Quidditch experience: None so far for the school teams. Though i do have quite a background in quidditch itself, being the son of the Falmouth Falcon Beater Kevin Broadmoor (1958-1969). Played in a sort of 'junior' quidditch league growing up as a kid. |

Serilda read down the list and smiled when she saw what team she was on and that there was only one other player trying out for keeper; she had a good chance of making the reserve team if anything considering she had heard Jake was an excellent player. She couldn't wait for tryouts, even though she was terrified and very nervous. |
Lo walked into the locker room and scanned the lists for her name. 4 people were trying out for chaser, so she felt confident. She went outside after changing and practiced for awhile. |
Emma walked into the locker room and looked through the list quickly, she was on the gray team. She wasn't nervous at all, all she had to do was to have a practice fly and swhe'd be fine, she could feel it already, the sweat... and the honour! She kept reading. "5 reserve, I thought there were only 4, it said so in the owl the captain sent me..." |
Lexy walked out onto the pitch and smiled quietly to herself as she examined the tryout rosters "Grey team, eh? Alright." She took in the entire quidditch pitch in all it's glory and memories, before turning around to leave. ooc- i'm just double checking the time zones, 4:00 PST is 6:00 Central right? So that's two hours difference...*cough* I won't be able to stay till 11 but i'll do my best ^_^ Oh good, and i don't have to get up till seven on Sat. XD [/endramble] |
Romy looked around and waits for the tryouts beginning. OOC Sorry my fault, here is it 12:00PM it get rumbling *yawn* -> timezones |
Lexy raced out onto the feild, totally decked out in her quidditch uniform and ready to play. She hops onto her broom and flies around the pitch, a quick warm-up. ooc- sorry, i know we prolly shouldn't be posting this but i had to comment--poor romy! |
ooc: yah it's 6 2 hours diffrence central, took me like half an hour to figure it out. Emma jumped on to her broom, it was one of the school's broom since 1st years weren't alowed broom's, they were old and she had trouble steering. "Nimbus 2000 eh, that's about 50 years old!" Ah well, she'd have to make do, she made a few laps around the fiels, getting used to the space, and the piece of wood she was holding on to. She braked to meet another gray team member. "Hi, I'm Emma, I'm hoping to see you on the field again during one of the games!" She smiled and kept loopty-looping. |
