I had a thought today and I’m curious what you all think…
How do you navigate 2nd gens if the other RPers aren’t RPing? I have a charrie who could plausibly have some 2nd gens that would be fun to bring into the SS RP, but I don’t really want to make up all that on my own, since others are involved. If that makes sense. Plus, the larger continuity question of it all…
How do y’all navigate this?

How do y’all navigate this? I think it depends on the person that you're RPing the 2nd gens with. I have a family with Robyn and she said that I am more than welcome to add more kids to it. I think I've only added one child though. I also have a family with someone else and I don't *think* they're allowed to RP anymore for reasons but we already planned out the family, I only added one extra child to it because I thought they needed a girl mainly to humble my male charrie. 
I normally just keep them as is sadly. If the 2nd gen charries exist already I normally just play them as is without changing too much of the family story. I have a hard time with this kinda situation in general.
The one good thing about some of my families is that we had everything pre-planned on who RP's who for the 2nd gens BUT some of my families are just there because I created them with someone that doesn't RP anymore sadly and there's really not much I can do charrie wise other than my main charrie for it.
I don't know if that really helps you though.

How do y’all navigate this? For me it depends on if the 2nd gen characters were developed before the other person stopped RPing. In that case I either keep them in line with what was planned out for them, or I just see how they develop in my head. I’ll reach out to the other person if I’m able to, just to check with them if needed. For Lux, Robin said that I was free to plan out the kids. So I created Aurora and gave her two sisters. I’ve only given the sisters names and birthdays in case Robin comes back and wants fo play one. Then she can figure everything out.
