Sir_Spots' Cinnamon Pumpkin Surprise . .. ... .... ... .. . It's a new MotW! *waits for applause to cease* Sir_Spots So.. I, Touz the guest interviewer Let the interview.. begin! ------------ Hello and good evening, Sir_Spots! Do tell, what would you say.. if I told YOU, you were the new MotW!?!?! Well that's great, I've read most of the other MotW interviews and always thought it would be neat to be picked. Great! So that brings me to two VERY important questions: 1. Can I call you Spotty? and 2. Do you know the show Price is Right? Yes, to both. Well.... GOOD. So.. COME ON DOWN!!! You're the next contestant on.. MotW Interview! *slips on flashy green sequin jacket* *Stops jumping up and down, takes off the cow suit and runs to the stage.* Welcome to the show! You didn't have to lose the cow suit.... but let's kick this off right.. by you letting the audience know some stuff about you. Give us the goods! Well thanks, I guess you can start with my name, it's Eric, I live in a small town in Maryland about an hour from Washington DC and I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. *gasp* You like Harry Potter too!?! Silly isn't it? Small world indeed. Well.. Eric from Small town Maryland that loves Harry Potter... Why don't you tell us all what you do in your all spare time? Spare time huh? Well if you mean my job....I'm a Television Director and Production Manager for a national network that covers mostly politics. Wow. You are so important. I need a title like that. Well I don't know about that but the people I cover are. What kind of people is it that you cover? Because it's politics, it's mostly the US Senators, Congressmen and the President. The big man himself! I'm jealous. *picks off a sequin and throws at you* Need an intern for the summer?? hehe I'll see what I can do for you..... Woot! Tell us about some of your hobbies. What does Spotty do for fun.. other than playing on SS or meeting very important people of course.. I love the outdoors, I try to get out as much as often, I have a boat, so I really enjoy fishing with my kids and I also enjoy writing poetry. OOoo. Can I put you on the spot, Spotty? (no pun intended of course) I've read your poetry and you are grand! Can.. you.. give us a poem all spur-of-the-moment/impromptu-like about being the Member of the Week? The Member of the Week Interview A chance where you learn what I do What’s my age, where I live Are the answer’s I’ll give Do my best to inform all of you. How's that?I have some better ones, and some really long ones in my thread, oh and I'm also the Moderator for our Poetry Forum on this site. Of course I've read you're poetry.. you should plug it. It's really, really great. Here I'll help pimp it: All the cool kids are clicking here.. AFTER they finish the interview. Yes so.. I've seen you around the Poetry forum.. tell us, how long you've been a mod at SS? Well I started at SS back in 2003 and only played a bit at Zonko's, I even had a different user name then (fang01) but as I started exploring the site, I found the other forums like the Poetry and even the school side. I became very active in both locations and the other staff here asked me if I would help out and eventually I became the Mod for Poems and Fan Art. I think it's been almost a year now. Time flies when you're having fun! I heard it through the grapevine.. that you had some action with your character in the school last term. Give us some of the good inside stuff.. Yes, as I mentioned, once I found out about the school RP section of this site, I wanted to play, so I took several classes and tried to earn house points for Gryffindor. I liked playing so much that when the Staff asked me to become a Staff member myself, I became Spots, the House Ghost of Gryffindor. During the last school term though, many of the House Ghosts participated in an experiment to regain their bodies Spots however decided not to until it was too late, and while trying to save another Professor, he "passed on". I, for one, was.. quite saddened when Spots didn't pull through. But it was a great read. Let's get back to something happier.. I think I see tears in the audience.. Okay shoot Well... you mentioned you like to fish with your kids... we all love kids here, tell us about yours! Well by even mentioning kids, you've probably guessed that I'm a bit older than most of the users here at SS. The fact is that I'm probably one of the oldest. I'm 44 and I have three children, two boys and a girl. My oldest will be 16 next month and my youngest is 9. Old smold. I have socks older than that. And besides.. you are a good role model 'round these parts. Well thanks for sharing about your socks Anytime Spotty! So.. let's move back again to Harry Potter. How did you get 'hooked' on Harry Potter? One of your fishing buddies hook you up? Hehe nice......But no, actually most of my co-workers use to think I was a bit weird. Now many of them come to me to get the most up to date about the books, movie and news on the Potter series, it's really cool. As for how I began my interest in Potter, well my youngest brought home the first book and I began reading it to him. Now you have to understand that I never read books myself. I read two newspapers a day but not books. I don't find that I can concentrate long enough for them. But the Potter books were different. The way JKR writes kept my interest and I found I couldn't put them down. I read them all several times and have them all on tape to so I can listen to them in the car. My story is very similar... very similar indeed. Did you and Justin (*pulls his name out of a hat*) have the same favorite character? If not tell us who yall's favorite characters are.. The kids are not as obsessed as their daddy about the stories but his favorite character is Ron, my daughter's is Hermione. I found that I related very much with Harry during the first several books, but after PoA came out, I think I like Lupin more. You might want to say that again.. the part about Lupin.. you what him more? After PoA came out, I think I can relate to Lupin’s character better. He's gentle and caring and loves to give advice. Yes folks. We have.. dun dun dun.. A Lupin Lover! Woo! It's about time we moved away from those Snape worshipers. *bows* *claps madly* You have a favorite book of the five so far? At first I didn't really like book five. I thought JKR wrote Harry a bit too bitter and I kept telling myself "get over it Harry." But the more I read it and listened to it, I think she actually got him just right. So I'd say that for now it's OotP. Heh. That woman is brilliant. I'd have to agree with you there. If you could ask J.K. Rowling the brilliant one and the whole we're here today doing this...one question, what would it be and why? How does she keep all her characters straight? Let's see.. how about we get to the last weeks MotW, Mikaela’s, question. She asked: "If you could be related to any person in the Harry Potter universe, who would it be and what would their relation be to you?" Hmmmm, I think I would like to be Arthur Weasley's brother, that way I could be a witness to what I believe Harry's going to do in the end, and I also just like the whole Weasley clan. Admit it. You just secretly want red hair. Yes, that's it, you caught me. I knew it!! Moving along (in no specific order..) I find this next question extremely important.. so do answer with care: What type of music do you listen to? Well I love jazz and big band music because I played the drums for years, but mostly I listen to country now, I like the stories they tell. :cowboy: Here is a completely random..late night..unrelated question: Who is your favorite Star Wars character? Yoda he is. Wise you are, Hmmmm. *points up to the title.. above our head* Interesting title for your thread [Sir_Spot's Cinnamon Pumpkin Surprise]. Do share with us why you chose such a name..but go easy on the details.. I skipped supper. Well I look forward every fall to the different varieties of Pumpkin Pies for sale. But dispite all of them, I still like to make my own, that way I can add a little extra cinnamon and clove. I love cinnamon and I think the mix of cinnamon and pumpkin are great fall flavors. MMMMMMMM. Do you have any advice for the members out there..reading this... right now? Advice?....huh, that's a toughie, I guess it would be to not take anything too seriously, enjoy life, cherish other people's company and be nice. Well.. I think we should wrap this up. My coat is due back to CBS.. and I'm sure.. your ...cow suit... is.. waiting... Moo It's your turn now.. to ask a question to the NEXT MotW. So fire away at them. Okay, if you could decide what happens to people who fall through the veil that Sirius did, what would happen to them? Oh that's deep. They're going to love you for that one. Alright.. so .. that's it. The show is over. Go home. Moo |
