I'm definitely not letting Stas try to make sure the barn denizens are all safe now *sighs*

As if the man wasn't stressed enough by the appearance of this fog. Kiddos wanna go be walkin' outside. His heart isn't strong enough for this. He's gonna need a vacation.

This would be wise. 'sides, Cornish is in charge of the creatures. He's a capable and competent Professor. This is his job so she can leave that worrying to him. ^_^

Four months and you can have a vacation, Malachi. Just four more months. Hang in there :x3:

@Kamryn: Maeve is worried about you and asking what it'll take to keep her safe and she says making out is out of the question:mellow:

Heey1 I have a question about the mist! With it being dangerous is it right to assume that the students cant sent or receive owls anymore?

lazykitty 06-29-2019 10:27 AM

^Didn't all the owls flee with the other creatures?

DaniDiNardo 06-29-2019 10:51 AM

Even owls left behind wouldn't really work since they'd have to fly through the mist to get whatever message through. Safe to send any the students send would be refusing to go or get lost and any sent to them would likely not be willing to fly through it to get to the castle.

I have a general charrie question, and if someone wants to VM/PM me with an opinion rather than clutter up the chat, that's fine, too.

Help me work this out. An 11-year-old kid is either Halfblood or Muggleborn (OOC it's not worked out yet). It's honestly hard for me to work out things with him being a Muggleborn. If he's Halfblood with one witch parent and one muggle parent, can his siblings be non-magical but not a squib? Can you have all these muggles in a family with only one of their kids being magical?

Bazinga 06-30-2019 12:38 AM

I have so many characters connection to Tad and I am wibbling with this must taking him.

I think technically speak, it depends on who you are asking. A non-magical kid of a non-magical person who married a magical person would just be 'normal' to that parent, but the magical world seems to believe that magical abilities are a dominant trait and magical is the default. So to the family, only having one magical child, while very very unusual, they wouldn't consider the rest of the kids squibs. But all the kids who go to school with the magical child will very much consider them to be.

And from a genetics perspective, it's more realistic to have one magical kid of an entirely mugglebrn pairing with muggle siblings rather than one magical offspring from a halfblood pairing while the rest aren't. This makes perfect sense to me but I think I'm explaining it poorly.

ALSO YES, Cornish evacuated all his barn creatures.

Thank you so much! I've been trying to work things out to where my boy might be muggleborn, but it has too many holes in his upbringing and in his future. I think it'll be pureblood. All my questions were me trying to work out siblings for him anyway. Thanks again for the input!

Stas says good and <3 to Cornish

And at least her owl is presumably safe in the owlery. We're going to assume Dobby the squirrel and Albus the puffskein are too. Lol

Also, I have a Chloe in the Ravenclaw area searching for Tad if anyone wants to play.

gritandgrace 06-30-2019 01:30 PM

Points you earn can be added at any point in the term, even up until the very last day. I've earned points in the beginning of terms before and had them added in at the very end. The staff has always been very good about keying in points, but they might not always do so close to the time the points were earned.

Very true — I know when I was on staff there were two main ways people keyed in points. In a lump sum when all of the classes have been completed as well as after the completion of every class. I know for myself if someone earned extra merit based points or lost them ect I’d try and remove / ad them quicker so I wouldn’t forget.

However most of these points were also added in to the lesson spreadsheets I made for when I would input the points.

Also I have people that are so sad for both Kam and Tad.

RachieRu 07-02-2019 07:36 AM

Daisy wants to go home now xD

Charely Potter 07-02-2019 10:51 AM

Well, this wasn't quite how I imagined Tad exiting Hogwarts. :whaa:
