The Daily Prophet is teaming up with the goblins over in Gringotts Fanworks to bring you a very special opportunity whether you be a witch, wizard, house elf, or centaur!
While the Daily Prophet is always looking out for contributions, we would like to take this opportunity to help you find your inner journalist and see your writing in print! Not sure what to write about? We've got you covered.
You can choose from the following prompts :: - Punishing children with spells/magical child discipline
- Interview with a notable witch or wizard e.g a professor, a ministry worker, a quidditch player... anything really.
- review of a wizarding music group/a play/performance/wireless program/book
- tips for a housewitch ie best spells to use to in the kitchen or whatever
- wizarding restaurant/service review ie the leaky cauldron, moribunds, whatever
- Oversees wizarding political events
- Wizarding health and fitness
- Potions tester review
- experimental charms review
- Opinion piece on current wizarding events (as in... things that we have happening. Like a response piece to our news)
- Sporting news/coverage - Quidditch game, gobstones game, newly signed players etc
- Wizarding Business news
- A day in the life of _______ (a house elf, a cursebreaker, an acromantula... whatever)
- round up of a wizarding event, who was there, whats hot whats not, etc
- Or create your own! If you choose to create your own, please send an owl to the Daily Prophet Editor-in-Chief, Basil Skeeter, with your topic for approval.

Winning entries will be published in the Daily Prophet's Daily News thread and winning members will receive a special Accolades on their profile.
All submissions have the chance of being published in the future.
Please note that by submitting your article you are also giving permission to the Fan Fiction and Daily Prophet staff to perform necessary editing and tweaking. Deadline for submissions is September 1 @ 11:59 pm GMT.
Rules of Submission: - Entries MUST be submitted using the Submit Your News questionaire .
- Put "For Daily Prophet Editorials Contest" in the "Additional Comments, directions, information" field.
- Please include a title for your article and a byline containing the name of the character telling it in the appropriate fields. If you wish to have the Daily Prophet create a pen name for you please indicate so somewhere in your submission.
- Only one article per character or pen name, please.
- Articles must take place and be relevant within our current RPG timeline (current year 2081).
- Articles should be between 300 and 1000 words.
- You may submit as many articles as you wish.
- Any character played by another Snitchseeker member requires the permission of that member before they may be used in your article. Failure to receive appropriate permission may result in the removal of your article from the competition.
- Plagiarism will result in removal of your submission from the competition, as well as a site warning/infraction. This should be entirely your own and entirely in your own words.
- All SS Rules Apply.
