Year Five • The Fifteen Day Aparecium Challenge •
Come jam out with me as I make some dedications to some of my favourite songs!
Hey, guys! :hello: A very warm welcome to my 2026 Seektober thread!
Usually, I’d take part in the full 30-day challenge, but life has gotten significantly busier lately so this year I’ll be taking on the Aparecium 15-day challenge instead!
Almost immediately after wrapping up last year’s Seektober, a new idea started forming in my head. This time around, my graphics creations - and yes, I still consider myself a newbie at this :lol: - will revolve around songs that hold a special meaning for me. You might notice quite a few songs from the early 2000s making an appearance, because, well... that particular era is one I will always be a LOT emo about.
PS: Don’t expect me to give too lengthy an explanation as to why each song is special to me. A lady never reveals all of her secrets, after all. ;)

Colours used in graphic & meanings: Buttercram {Comfort}; the logo is the band's logo for their abovementioned album which I edited to appear a little brighter.
Why the band matters to me: Linkin Park has been my comfort band since before my teen years. They say that you can never come between a girl and the band she was into during her early years; based on my experience, this is true. LP continues to calm me during stressful days, with both Chester and Emily as lead vocalists motivating me.
Resonance: This entire album particularly holds a space in my heart since it's the first LP put out after Chester's death, marking the debut as Emily - a Queer female - as their new lead. In addition, I took a trip to NY in 2025 just to see the band play at Barclay's Center. But the funny thing? Life gave me a second opportunity to see them play in NJ just days later :love: I made a lot of everlasting memories belting out LP's songs with my sister.
