This is my fourth year participating in Seektober and I will be doing the Aparecium challenge again. I will also be using my RPG characters again, either as inspiration, subjects, or as a lens through which to look at a particular prompt prompt. Be prepared for some mental gymnastics in getting from the prompt to the final piece.
I'll be tackling these prompts in all manner of ways depending on time and inspiration, and most will be their own standalone pieces but a couple might end up being component parts of a bigger piece. Aiming to keep a running theme but by using a variety of approaches (or whatever ultimately fires up my creativity).

I love your brain and your talent. I think my favorite out of the new ones since I posted last is Electric Blue. Just so cool the way you did the eyes. I love all of them though, don't get me wrong. That lil unicorn is perfect <3 and I love your version of the St. Mungo's shield. just amazing <3

haha, funny story about those eyes; there was another row of them above with the eyes looking upwards but it came out so terribly I just went ahead and cropped it out. otherwise it was really fun to do. you are so kind as always

I can't even tell you how much I love everything you've drawn, especially since you were also PROLIFIC while I was busy last week, but it's all so pretty and well done. I want to just make a list of everything I like and it's... it's everythingg? I like everything.

Oh, my… I can’t tell you how excited I was to see multiple prompts in one visit. The shading on your dementor has me staring forever - you use the pencils perfectly *takes note of the ones you use, ty for adding those* XD And more HANDS which you are incredible at. I love the added colour of the philosophers stone, and your use of colour in the electric blue prompt. looks straight out of a book, I adore your creativity.
Pls draw forever, I hope to see more even after seektober ends!!

honestly I think (for your notes) that mechanical pencils are the best for drawing! I have one each for my HB, red, and blue pencils and if they are to hand I will always use them. also a very good eraser. (also I think I used an entire graphite refill on that dementor whoops)

a couple of prompt dumps incoming. everything happens so much recently so
I've been completing prompts bc art has been a kind of tether, but I haven't
had the mental wherewithal to post. so they're all coming at once. but at least
for this one it does make some sense for them all to be lumped together.
first, ezra upstead for timid (I don't know if timid is the most accurate word for
ez (he's black belt who can handle himself and possibly bites when threatened,
in contrast to his bestie, Art, who is very protective but h8s even witnessing
any kind of fighting) but he came to mind when I saw it so here we are)

regulus prince. the less said about this the better (in the sense of why he is a
fraud (source: trust me bro) but also the fact it didn't really work). but I will
still explain; I actually added him last and kind of squeezed him in, and he also
fell victim to my shaky hand when doing the lining. not at all happy with the
face. very pleased with the shading on his clothes though.

cyprien grimaldi. one of the many combined kids of Grimoire, a huge wrock
group made up of three sisters. he and his siblings/cousins are pretty famous
by proxy, but cyprien has never been one for the limelight. he likes his privacy,
his quiet, and his books.

lucky fuller-thompson is not my sneakiest character, but he definitely has more
than a touch of it. he just likes to hang back, observe, stay well out of anything,
and then decide if he'll act. he's pretty extroverted, but yeah, beneath it all, his
actions can have some sneaky undertones. I love him, and all my slytherins.

arthur dakest (known as art) immediately came to mind for faithful. a very
faithful (if easily irked) friend. very happy with how he came out here, all

charlie upstead. I will not be taking any questions at this time. very happy with
that deceptively adorable expression though. (actually this piece makes more
sense with the prompt when you see him in full, but as his headwear belongs
to its own prompt, I left it out of this).
also it's probably been very noticeable this whole time but I had a real nightmare
shading the faces of all these pieces, but it is what it is.

... is finally here. all these characters (and sparks and crown) gathered around
a chess piece, because these are (some of) my chess-playing characters.
this took much longer than any of my other prompts, partly because I was
afraid of ruining it by moving to the next step (which often was exactly what
happened, but I took pictures of it at each stage at least). I always, without
fail, mess up when going in with the fine liner. shaky hands. but also, as far as
I'm concerned, this kind of art is a sorcery I am learning only very slowly.
I learnt many lessons while working on/shading the faces, I just wish I knew
what those lessons were.
another bunch of prompts will be posted tomorrow probably. just... not ten.

I think my favorite though so far is the Dementor. It is beautiful. The way you have it shaded to get lighter towards the end...just *chef's kiss*

Isak Imago, currently a fourth year Ravenclaw. not my best work, but finding
an image of his FC that would work was surprisingly difficult and I didn't have
much time to spend on it to do all the little touches that make things look more
natural. I'll probably redo one for him when I have time, and do the character
and FC more justice. biggest accomplishment with this one was turning
slytherin robes to ravenclaw.

a very unfinished manip of the upstead quadruplets; eventually I had to accept
that this was not something I could finish quickly, so I'm sharing the wip/rough
and ready version. v difficult to change things to hufflepuff colours. oof.
from left to right, in age descending order: Hunter, Leigh, Mason, Charlie.
(Hunter and Mason are identical twins). I play Charlie. Hunter belongs to MJ,
Leigh belongs to Julia, and Mason belongs to Ern.
the connection to the prompt is that, as very small children, these kids were
about as manageable as a box of weasleys' wildfire whiz-bangs. it also felt
fitting that they were associated with the weasleys, being from a large family.
