Reagan Taylor EraAll historical records pertaining to Ministry of Magic RPG under Minister for Magic, Brennan Cooper [IC January 2068 - December 2072; OOC January 2010 - September 2010]
The REAL Sorting Hat: "Ravenclaw!" This monkey is bananas.
Darius listened as the Minister finally spoke and he took this time to get a good look at her. Definitely not someone he was expecting. She looked fragile, like someone who would crack under pressure. But he had read of her accomplishments during her reign as Minister and knew she was the right woman for the job. Clapping as everyone else did he grinned as he looked around, noticing the two from his department. He was lucky, he didn't want to have his name in the Prophet, in fact he didn't want anyone from the prophet to even know about him yet.

Ugh, he had been so slow to get up here. It was becoming apparent that Chad needed to work on some cardio or at least cut back on the coffee.
Snort. Yeah, like that would happen.
"Reagan," he called, coming into the final room. He walked deeper into the room, looking around for her amongst the people. Lots of people.

Allie had been just about to finish her conversations with Erik, Dorian, and Darius when the Minister asked for everyone's attention. In a lot of ways, Allie was grateful for the sudden interruption, though. She'd just been...asked out on a date, and although she'd accepted without any awkwardness at all, the idea of...dating again made her nervous. She hadn't dated anyone since she moved back to Great Britain, and...Merlin, she needed a new dress!
By the time she finished that train of thought, Reagan was done with her speech, and apparently everyone was being dismissed. Hmm...this was an easy out, true, but...Allie was about to take the easy out for one of the first times in her life. She needed to owl Lexi! Lexi always knew what to do in these type situations! "Thank you, Minister Taylor. Thank you to all of you," she said. "I'll see you at the luncheon." ...and that was that. Allie had had enough of this little room. She'd been in it since...about three seconds after she was fake-kidnapped. She was tired. Seeing that her work here was done, the Senior Undersecretary turned and headed out the room.

"Can I have everyone's attention please? I'd like to congratulate you all for your accomplishments in our Continuing Education Fair. And I'd especially like to congratulate Ronan Cavanaugh of the Department of Magical Education, Ben Amsten from Law Enforcement, Unspeakable Marina Effron, Drago Carracio and Lucia Turner, both of the Creatures Department, who were are top finishers in this fair. And as such, these lucky five Ministry employees will be spotlighted in the next issue of the Daily Prophet, as well as receive a financial reward with their next paycheck for their efforts.
"And all of you are invited to a very special luncheon with me and the Senior Undersecretary in a more intimate setting to celebrate your accomplishments. Look for your personalized invitations in the coming week. Thank you all for your participation in our Fair! This event has ended!" Reagan began clapping to show her appreciation for the employees and for the success of the event.
Ronan smiled graciously to the Minister of Magic and the Senior Undersecretary, clapping in honor of himself and his fellow employees who had excelled in the Mystery Fair.
The young man looked around at all of the various people, all talented witches and wizards and felt lucky to work with them in some way or another. He turned on his heel set to go home and tell his wife all about his adventures.

"...and thank you," she remarked. "It's good to know that had this been a real situation, there are employees out there who more than likely would have been able to solve the crime."
Uh huh. Maybe next time her alarm clock wouldn't work either, which would be bad. But good at the same time if it was another fake kidnapping. How was she supposed to know a fake one compared to a real one anyways!? She didn't want the emotional stress if she was going to find out at the end that it was fake.
But she'd feel to guilty NOT to do that tasks and try to save whoever it was. Ohhh this Ministry was tricky! "I'm always happy to help when needed." Smiling at the woman, Lilah moved closer inside the room, looking around.

Until the Minister started to speak that is. Then she had to stop and pay attention.
Hmm, congrats to them! Name in the prophet and everything! Smiling, Lilah looked around at who she supposed were the top five and clapped along with the Minister and others. A special luncheon? Well, that was nice of her.
With the continuous smile, Lilah took a quick look at the door before glancing at everyone else. Perhaps she could sneakily slip out? Sleep sounded so nice at the moment, and now that the Minister said what she needed to say, the icy blue eyed woman can go and fulfill her goal of going to sleep forever right? Until it was time to wake up for work again that is...
Ronan shook his head as she questioned whether all that he was happy for was for the win in the Job Fair.
"A lot has happened since I've left the Department of Mysteries. I am married now, and we've just welcomed our twins about a week or so ago." he explained with a bright grin.
"I certainly felt like I learned a lot myself. Some of the challenges were pretty tricky but I'm glad that I was stubborn enough to keep pushing myself along."

Ronan had married! Why, that was wonderful! AND he had twins. Marina couldn't have been happier for him. "Congratulations!" She began, but then paused, as Minister Taylor asked for their attention. She listened, eyes intent and, when the Minister clapped, joined in. Because everyone here had done pretty wonderfully.
Once the applause had died out, Marina turned round, to talk to - Drago, if she had his name correctly. "Mr. Carracio," she said, politely. "I wanted to say, you did a brilliant job." She had honestly expected him to be in the Final Room, sooner. He and Ronan were the two people who had really won her respect, here - Ronan, of course, she had always appreciated.

.... and it looked it was time to head out.
She could do with some sleep!
He was surprised to hear his name called and turned to find who it was. He smiled as she complemented him and nodded. "Thank you. Though, it seems I did not do well enough. Getting held back in the sixth challenge seemed to have bested me. But there seem to be some impressive people here in the Ministry, and I'm glad to stand amongst them... along with you. Congratulations, my dear. Your performance was dazzling."

"You were in the lead, for quite a while," Marina said, politely. "I don't believe the ranks make a difference, Mr. Carr - can I call you Drago?" She wasn't good with last names. Not even after all the work experience. "I exited the last challenge at the same time as Ronan and Ben, but I entered the Final Room, after them." It was her way to show him that ranks weren't always important - and, of course, he had done fine. Not to mention, he had done it elegantly. Marina couldn't say the same for everyone else, here.
"Thank you." She gave him a little smile. "I'm glad you found it up to your standards." She glanced at her wristwatch. "I suppose I ought to get going. But I hope to see you around the Ministry, Mr. Ca -- Drago." Now, to look forward to a warm bed and some much-needed sleep.
He nodded. "Drago is quite fine. I was actually an Unspeakable at one time. Perhaps on break I might see if you are free. I should probably be getting back myself. Have a good evening, Marina." He bowed gracefully to her before excusing himself to make an exit.

Unspeakable. That was quite interesting. "Definitely, Drago," Marina said, pleasantly. "You, too." Have a good evening, that is. She watched him leave, then gathered her handbag, and left herself.

As the Minister began, Lucia was quite surprised to hear her name in the top finishers list. Wow, that was an accomplishment. "Thank you very much." She said with a wide grin. Names in the Daily Prophet, financial reward and a special luncheon? That was an awesome reward. She was very shocked that she had even made it to the Final Room.
After the Minister had spoken, Lucia smiled kindly at her, the Senior Undersecretary and all of the other employees. She then turned around on the spot to make her way home. Phew, what an eventful but exciting day!

Dorian had kept his attention on Allie as the other conversations had been going on around them. Although he'd been amused by the man who had asked her out. That took guts, and while he could flirt with the best of them, he wasn't quite to a point of actually going out with anyone. In time, maybe, but things were still too fresh in his memory.
But as the Minister had spoken, he'd turned his grey gaze to her, a bit of a half smile on his face. At least now he knew a few names of people in the Ministry. It helped, since he hadn't really gone around to meet people before now. And even now he hadn't, unless he'd felt it necessary. He nodded slightly, though, as she mentioned a luncheon and invitations, then applauded with the others. He really did think those who had been mentioned had done a great job, and deserved the accolades. He'd just go along for the ride, and besides, he didn't mind not being put in the paper. That would have just felt weird, especially having just started working. He watched as several of the others in the room took their leave, acknowledging the fact they'd been dismissed. he knew he should probably go as well, but he didn't really feel like heading back to his lonely flat. So he stalled, sticking the pygmy puff toy back in his pocket as he looked around the room aimlessly.
