Im assuming everyone is here at this point even if you haven't posted yet! Cambell smiled as the Ministers and their personal security followed her off the lift. She waited until they gathered around her and then decided to begin. "Everyone, this is the Atrium, the arrival area for Minisrty workers and visitors." She said pointing to the fireplaces and a regular looking phone booth. "Workers aslo check in here before they begin their day of work." Cambell said, again pointing in the correct location. She was extremely nervous. Touring was not her job and she was sure she wasnt very good at it! She was trying her hardest though and was determined to help the Ministers have a good time. And, if not, she tried. Cambell took a few steps from the group, allowing them to follow her to the middle of the Atrium. In the middle there was a big fountian. Cambell, in her own oppinion hated this monument that had been around since Harry Potter's time. She had read all about it. She couldnt believe such a horrible statue was still up in place of the Fountian of Magical Brethren. The later had been a wonderful statue of Wizards and magical creatures working together, but this was just a statue of someone standing on muggles... Her mother being a muggle, it wasnt an understatement how much she disaproved. But, she woudlnt say such things in the presence of company. "This is the Magic is Might fountain, put up back in Harry Potter and Lord Voldemorts time during the war between the good and evil's of witchcraft!" Cambell said. You could tell how much those times meant to her. Harry Potter had been nothing less than a hero to her since she was very young. Then She moved on. "This floor os the working station for Magical Maintenance, Security, and Weather Conrtol!" Cambell said brightly. "You will notice through the windows of the entire Ministry that the weathers are according each of your hometowns forecast and our own!" Cambell said, throwing in that bit of information. "The Ministries Gift Shop is also located right over there, stocked with great souvenir's and gifts." She said. "Are there any questions?" Cambell asked, nervous again. She hoped she knew the answers to their questions. |

Jose followed the guide attentively. He didn't think much of the decorating...the statute was dismal. Perhaps too much rain. Yes, that would explain the dreary appointments. Best not to point it out. Diplomacy was the word of the day. With that thought, he put on a big smile and nodded encouragingly. |

"Welcome to the British Ministry" she said softly, "This is the atrium." She watched his smile and laughed softly. "Do you have any idea of the proceedings?" She asked as her hand slipped into reach for her wand. |

Kaylee looked around the Atrium with slight interest, until her eyes fell upon the huge statue that stood in the centre. "Merlin's beard what an eyesore. Why on earth would anyone keep that thing here?" she mused out loud. She looked at their guide and shook her head. No she didn't have any questions, she just wanted to leave this area and get as far away from that horrible monstrocity as fast as she could. |
Brian was there with the collective thoughts of Minister's arrival, the impatient foreign ministers and their questions, Cambell's speech and more. He watched the Chinese minister asked a silly question to Cambell, he looked around to see her. He was about to answer, but decided to stay calm. Sometimes being quiet is hundred times better than talking. He stood there, folding his arms across his well-built chest. |

Cambell looked around at the Ministers faces. Some were staring at the statue, others looked as if they were hiding there faces from it. She frowned slightly. The statue did have historic value, but it was hard to look at. "Any other questions?" Cambell asked. |
Jake, with his hands thrust deep inside his robes, spotted the group made up of the foreign ministers and their guides as they exited the lifts. With a glance at DeJa'n, the hitwizard made his way forwards, one hand around the handle of his wand tightly. He made his way first to Cambell, who he recognised as she gave a speech about the Atrium. Waiting for her to finish, and for the Chinese Minister to ask his question, he stopped beside her. 'We've checked the whole level while we were waiting; no issues in security that were overlooked earlier,' he confirmed. 'Any specific job you need us to do?' |

When she heard the comment about the sweaty guy she wrinkled up her nose and she conjured up deodrant, she walked over to him and sprayed him a lot, she conjured up a basket of peppermints and shoved about 3 of them in his mouth "Eat them and Don't complain" Rebecca whispered as she glanced at Bao Li. she tapped him on the shoulder and walked back to Bao Li "Done Sir" Rebecca announced to him. |

Warren's gaze passes across Alexa and the Peruvian minister and he clenched his jaw as he saw what was passing between them. Blighted smooth talker. He turned slightly so that he wasn't looking directly at them but could still see what was happening and faced Abigail a bit uncomfortably, "Well how do you like it here so far, ma'am?" |

Sorry its so short. When Cambell realized that no one had anymore questions for her she spoke up again. "Shall we move on the level 7?" She asked, making her way back to the lifts. |

Cambell was surprised by the straightforwardness of the Minister. She smiled and faced him. "We're headed to Level 7 now." She said pointing toward the lifts. "Should we go?" She asked, heading to them slowly." |
Rebecca stared at Cambell "Sir, can we please go" Rebecca requested of Bao Li wanting to keep Cambell in her sights |

"Yes let's go" Kaylee replied eagerly. Anything to get away from that statue it was rather depressing to look at. She followed the Ministry worker towards the lifts. |

Rebecca smiled "Sorry Minister" Rebecca replied "The ceiling's changing?" Rebecca stupidly looked up, when she looked down she realised Minister Li had run off "Ack" she sighed, she saw him and ran after him |
Cambell saw the cooky Minister run off and she sighed. Why was he such a pain? She wasnt expecting any of the Ministers to be less than normal, more like extrodinary. The Chinese Minister had somehow fell beneath that line. She didnt know if she should wait, or if she should let them catch up.... Cambell was already at the lifts with the crowd. Ug. She looked to Brian for an answer, not sure if he could give her one either. |
Rebecca looked back and panted, catching her breath she ran off again |
Cambell got on the lifts with everyone else, hoping the Chinese Minister and his security would join him soon. ooc-Everyone post in the Level 7 Lifts |
Bao Li was grumbling in Chinese when he rejoined the tour group. Every so often, he'd toss something with his left hand and people would start jumping around due to the sparks and sound made by the tiny poppers he was setting off. "So borrrrinnnnggg." But he settled down somewhat in the lift. |
Rebecca followed Bao Li into the lift and she sighed at all the commotion |
It was a typical MInistry day for Dan. He entered the atrium from the fireplaces and headed towards the Security and maintenance office before heading towards the security desk for his shift. Aside from the commotion regarding the tour of the ministers the Ministry is quiet. He smiled After a tiring day yesterday, he entered the Ministry in a very odd manner which is by the floo network. He was accustomed to these sort of transportation but he was tired of using the muggle way for now. After he had appeared from the fireplace he smelled a new scent from the Ministry itself. It was quite early, when he arrived so there was any people yet. Dan decided to check up on some things in his department before heading toward his post at the Security Desk. |
In a whoosh of green flame, an ebony-haired witch stepped-or rather fell-out of the fireplace. As she brushed the dirt off her robes, she silently hoped that she would get the hang of the Floo, as she had just gotten her letter this morning. The owl carrying it had almost crashed into the window, but she was so happy when she had seen it's contents that she didn't care. She had been accepted unto the Counterfeit Spells and Objects Team! Now with a smile on her face, Kira sped off towards the lifts. |

The tall red phone box descended into the Atrium. It was Leaf's first time here. He had not thought it as magnificant as this. He awed and marveled at the giant statue in the centre. He read the paque on the rim of the basin, and noticing that all proceeds went directly to St. Mungoes, he placed his Nimbus 2001 broomstick against the goblins arm and looked through the pockets of his pristine suit. After throwing in five whole Galleons, he picked up his broomstick and went to check in with the aged security wizard, Eric. "Wand," Eric said simply as he held out a hand in waiting. Aaron handed his wand and Eric peered at it closely. "Hmm," he wrote down everything he could find out about the wand on a small yellow piece of parchment, and after placing it on a hook, he handed the wand back to it's owner. "Nature of business at the Ministry?" he asked. "I'm here to apply to the Magical Law Enforcement offices," a deep voice bellowed from somewhere inside of Aaron. (When did my voice get so deep for such a pipsqueak?) "Applications are to the left of the gift shop by Human Resources," Eric sneered back. Arron curtly nodded and headed off to fill in his application. Once he had finished, and had attached the reccomendation from his Muggle STudies professor, he took a seat on one of the benches and unfolded the days Daily Prophet and began to read as he waited to be called, or perhaps see someone he knew. |
"Have you got your liscense, or can you side-along apparate?" he asked as they reached the Atrium. "Boy this will be fun, explaining soul sucking to a Muggle," he chuckled. |
Rebecca frowned "Have I got a licence? Of course!!" she raised her eyebrows |
"Great, little pub called The Amber Knocking, I'll see you there," he replied, turning on the spot and dissappearing from site. |
Rebecca sighed and apparated to the pub |
Warren walked through the Atrium with his hands in his jeans pockets fiddling with his wand. He needed a solution...something that would make Alexa NOT leave like he knew she was bound to do simply because...well that was her. Pulling out his hand he rubbed the back of his neck and sat down on a bench with his back against a wall as was his usual habit. The job was getting to him. No...not the job just what they were making him do. He let his gaze pass over the wizards who were moving about in the atrium and through the security check-point. So many weak spots here and they're worried about our training. A security guard nearly asleep at his post, random people walking about...the place was just an incident waiting to happen. How easy it would be for someone. We think we're infallible and that's where we are flawed. He sat back, leaning his head against the wall as he watched the people move about. |

Warren sat back watching with a bemused expression as someone refused to have their wand weighed and recorded at one of the security desks. Poor bloke. Probably fresh from Hogwarts manning a desk where you get the grunt of the hectic people's nerves and frustrations. As the argument started to get heated he pushed off from the wall and stood up, preparing himself to go to the security desk as he knew that his formidable size next to that of the scrawny security guards would probably end all argument, when he heard footsteps coming his way. He watched as the argument died down and turned his attention to the footsteps that didn't sound like the familiarity of Alexa's steps to see... He grinned, a rare thing for him, and stood up. "Well, look who it is. What brings you back?" He said as he took a step toward her and gave her a hug. |
"I missed the Ministry waaaay too much,"Miley told Warren. "Truth is,I love Ireland, but it doesn't compare to London and the Ministry." She nodded at the fact. She hugged Warren back when he gave her a hug. "So,how have you been? It's been way too long since I've talked to you." |

Warren smirked, "Well, I guess that's understandable." After all he got that way a few times in Russia. Even after everything that had happened. And after he left Alexa it had gotten worse, almost a self-destructive spiral downwards on his part. He looked at Miley and smiled, "I missed you too." Shaking his head he laughed, "I couldn't even if I wanted to. Not yet." There was just too much going on with Alexa. He didn't know why he was obsessing over it. Probably because she was going to go and he knew it yet wouldn't be able to stop her. "Hmmm. It was interesting. Except for the fact that I missed about half of it." As Miley sat down next to him he glanced at her and then back to the people walking around, "Alexa and I got into a duel. An actual duel." |
Miley listened to Warren talk and when he mentioned him and Alexa getting into a duel, she turned her eyes back towards him. "A duel?An actual duel? Were one of you trying to hurt the other? Were you guys mad at eachother?" Wow.Too many questions at once. She shut her mouth and waited for Warren to answer those question she asked. |
Warren pursed his lips at Miley's question and nodded as he stared out at the people, "An actual duel and...I'm not sure.... I wasn't but she might have been." He closed his eyes and looked down at the floor, "Actually I came here right after leaving the house where I broke...well some things after Alexa went to bed early. I was going to look up someone before she did but when I got here...I don't know...I calmed down and found myself here." He looked at Miley and smiled rather sadly, "She's going to leave and there's nothing I can do. She wants to do it on her own and honestly I don't blame her. I did when I had the opportunity but then again she also saved me. That...that's what I'm afraid of." |
Arcius marched through the Atrium on his way to the lifts. He glanced around his, taking in the decor, the witches and wizards hurrying around him - the sheer scale of it all. He spotted a rogue fleck of dust on his sleeve and flicked it off. This was the beginning of what would no doubt be the rest of his career. |

As Ater crossed the Atrium he saw the fountain to his left and decided to exam it when he left. At this point he wanted to go through security and find the Law Enforcement floor and present for duty, as soon as possible. As he walked quickly across the large room, he noticed the fine marble and the hurried people walking from one place to another. Soon he would be one of these people, and he couldn’t wait for it; he had been very excited at the thought of working for the Ministry, and now he was about to begin. |

Ater was walking when someone bumped into him, a scowl was forming on his face but he caught it on time, it wasn’t the place for scowling and the person probably didn’t do it o purpose. When he looked at the person, it was a dark haired man, a couple of inches shorter then himself, and a friendly manner “No problem, sir. Are you ok?” he inquired with a raised eyebrow. |

“Aparation Dept. it must be quite an adventure, to work there.” He half asked half affirmed. If the young ones where half as bad at aparating as brewing the poor man had his work cut out for him. |
Jake casually walked into the Atrium, his eyes focused on the extremely long piece of parchment he had up close to his face, held in such a way to prevent it from dragging on the floor. Quote:
BAM! "GARH!" he shouted as he toppled over someone, feeling both himself and his unfortunate victim crashing on the floor loudly. For a moment, he didn't move, only testing himself for broken bones. Not finding any, he groaned and slowly picked himself off the man whom he had collided with. "Sorry," he mumbled, hoisting himself into an upright position on the floor as he raised his left hand to feel the large bump forming on his forehead, the other still clutching his niece's long letter. |
Ater had being looking at Armen interested in the man’s reply when he felt something sturdy yet obviously unbalanced hit his left side, and then the floor was no longer under his feet. THUD! He felt himself collide with the floor; but being a Hit Wizard he had his reflexes, even if they were majorly oriented towards other people. As he fell he rotated so hi fell sideways as he raised his right arm, to protect his head, as if it was a pillow, as his left arm, was bent at the elbow so his arm was as close to his body as possible, while his hand was opened acting like a small platform for the body toppling over his own. ‘What the hell was this? Whack a’Penumbra day or something?’ he thought to himself, in the 5 seconds it took his body to remain static on the floor. He rose to a sitting position, with a raised eyebrow almost touching his hair line. Ater watched as the man about his age, felt his head for damage, and apologized to him. “No problem, Sir. No harm no fault” was his response, with a flat tone, even though inside Ater was seething. He wasn’t particularly fond on harsh connections with the ground. Picking himself up with grace, he looked over at Armen, as if apologizing for the interruption of their conversation. “Are you alright Sir? Anything graver than a bump?” he inquired, truly preoccupied with the other man, he seemed to not have fallen as well as Ater, and the Slytherin boy did care about people, he wouldn’t be a Hit wizard if he didn’t, but he was also a Slytherin, and a normal man at that, he was entitled to feeling a bit put off. |
Great... Rachel has a Hogsmeade weekend soon, and because I'm useless at Healing Charms she'll see me with this huge egg on my forehead. Fantastic, he thought dryly to himself, gently laying the letter on the floor as he turned to see the damage he had done to his poor victim. To his surprise, he saw that the man had managed to fall on his side and therefore had avoided any injuries apart from a few scrapes. Jake winced unnoticeably at the man's tone, recognizing it as the tone used by someone who was a little put out but was too mannered to actually voice his complaints. His parents often used that tone with him when he had still lived with them... Jake pushed the memories aside and tuned in on the conversation again as the man began to speak. "I'm fine, it's just a little bump and nothing else," he replied with a tight smile, unsure whether the man was asking out of politeness or rather because he actually cared. Heaving himself off the ground, he swayed a little as the world tilted and went black behind his eyes. Used to this phenomena, he waited patiently until the darkness went away then said, "Again, I am truly sorry. To the both of you," he added, nodding to the other fellow too. Uncertain what to do with himself, he kneeled down and carefully folded up the letter and putting it in his pocket, rising again. "By the way, I'm Jake," he said, shaking off the weird mood that remembering his parents always put him in. He smiled hesitantly and stuck out his hand to the man he had fallen on, wondering how he would react. |
Ater nodded as the man replied he was fine, and proceeded to rise. He began to turn to Armen, when he noticed the man swaying in a blind he was near the man, helping him to the ground so he could kneel. “Please allow me Sir.” Ater said his voice warmer now, as he placed his worry for the man in front of him, above his nuisance at being thrown down. Removing his wand from the hiden pocket of his left sleeve, he waved it at the kneeled man saying medicor offa in a clear voice followed by sedo, and immediately the lump disappeared along with some of the pain, and residual headache from the blow. “There is no problem Sir. No one got hurt… well almost” he told him with a smile, indicating that the almost was the man himself. He then watched as the man placed a paper in his pocket and introduced himself as Jake. Ater took his hand firmly and shook it “Pleasure to meet you Jake, I’m Ater Penumbra.” He told him, and bowed as soon as the other man had released his hand. ooc: sorry it's a bit short XD |
S'ok - I like it :D Jake looked at the man apprehensively, wondering whether he was genuine. Ahh well, even if he hexes me into next week, I still knocked the guy over so... he thought and shrugged slightly, allowing the man to help him. Eying his wand with hopeful eyes, he noted that the tone he used was a little kinder than before and - "Ouch!" he yelped, hands shooting up to feel the damage done to his forehead, his eyes staring unseeingly ahead. He ran his fingers gently over his forehead and when he got to the area of his bruise he gasped in shock. "It- it's gone!" he exclaimed, a grin slowly spreading across his face, not even caring if all the pain hadn't disappeared. "Oh Merlin, thank you! Thank you so much - now I won't look like I've been been hit by a muggle car when I go see my niece!" he babbled, more grateful than the man could possibly guess. Whenever he met Rachel at Hogsmeade, he always attempted to look like the cool wizard Uncle while at the same time also be a responsible adult figure in her life, which often proved to be quite difficult since he occasionally had trouble looking after himself. Sometimes he even wondered how it was possible to love her so much after knowing her for only just over half a year. Other times he even pretended like she was his own daughter, just for the sake of it - but then he remembered that as much as he adored the fifteen year old, she didn't truly belong to him and one day she would have to go back and confront her parents. Until then... I'm all she's got. Focusing back on the man, he shook his hand and smiled as he introduced himself to be Ater Penumbra. "Pleasure to meet me, Mr. Penumbra? Really?" he asked with a small smile, raising one eyebrow with a questioning look. He highly doubted that meeting him had been a pleasure for Ater; the opposite is more like it. |
Ater watched as the man yelped as he healed his bump, and had to contain a smile as he knew the spell he had used would not be painful, the smile did pass through, whoever, when the man began to smile as he excitedly exclaimed his bruise was gone. At Jakes comment about being ran over by a car, and enthusiasm at not appearing hurt to his niece he did chuckle slightly. “It was nothing Jake, you would have done the same” he told him, despite not knowing if it was true or not, though the man didn’t seem the kind to run if he had injured someone. When Jake questioned how pleasurable meeting him had been, Ater gave a small regal laugh, and nodded “Well maybe a little painful, I’d wager, but I’m certain I won’t be forgetting your name anytime soon now.” He told him with an equally warm smile, as he added “and please, call me Ater.” being called by his last name always made him feel like his father, and though he loved the old man, he really didn't like it, and as such he endured it only as much as he had to. “I’m heading over to the Law Enforcement Department, today is my first day as a Hit Wizard and in the MoM. Which Dept. are you from, if I may ask?” He questioned the man before him, he looked physically capable of being an Auror, though his reflexes where a bit lacking, maybe Magical Cooperation, who knew. |
Sorry! Jake grinned and nodded, then cocked his head to the side thoughtfully. "Well, I think that - with your health at my best interests - I would have quickly called a Healer or someone more competent with healing spells to look at you," he said, chuckling slightly. Sticking both his hands into his pockets, he made sure that they stayed far away from his face, since he reminded himself a little of a muggle born first year at Hogwarts (as he was, over ten years ago) who got excited with every bit of magic he saw. "Ahh well, I guess that's a good thing. I certainly won't forget yours, Ater," he replied with an amused smile, leaning on his leg as he examined the man before him. He looked to be roughly the same age as him, maybe a little older with the air of someone who's very confident with himself. I bet he was in Slytherin... He does look kind of familiar, Jake thought to himself, easily picturing the man before him in the green and black Slytherin uniform. He had nothing against Slytherins as opposed to some of his friends - truth be told, he found all the stereotypical models of all the four houses to be annoying. "Oh, wow - first day. I remember my first day, it was actually in the same department as you're in now - MLE," he said, remembering the days he used to work for Rebbecca Todd. "If you enjoy it, it's fun there. But I didn't like it much, I preferred education so I transferred departments and now I'm a division head at the Dept. of Education," he continued proudly, grinning as he thought of his current beloved department. "You should stop by sometime; something tells me you'll like my office," he added as an afterthought, sensing that the man was culture oriented. |
Warren took the lifts down to the Atrium and looked around. Nothing much had changed since the last time he had been down there...well except maybe the security guard wasn't being argued with this time. He glanced into the glass and saw his reflection. Not to bad for not having been home in days. He wasn't about to step foot in his own house...not while Alexa was there. She needed time. He needed time. Maybe this was for the best after all. She'll go do what she needs to do without worrying about him and he can...well there was the question wasn't it. When your whole world revolved around one person what do you do when they're gone? He tapped his pocket and felt the comfort of his wand. Why was he down here? To stay out of the office, idiot. Ah that was right. To stay away from Alexa. Sliding his hand into his pocket he pulled out a notebook with a few notes on some unsolved cases and headed over toward a bench. |
Ater chuckled as Jake told him he would have called a Healer on him, though if Ater wasn’t good at some healing basics he would have called someone too, though as a Hit Wizard he had to know how to heal some things, or he might perish for it. He smiled at the man in front of him, as he admitted to not forgetting his either. He liked this man, Jake seemed nice and a good sport, He learned he began in the MoM in the MLE department moving on to the education, and felt respect for the dark haired man, he moved up by his own will and sweat, and that was something Ater respected. “I hope I’ll like it, it is something I felt the pull for, it always intrigued me, and as I had finished my Potions Masters, and traveled for a year, I decided to join and do my share of helping.” Ater told the division head of the Education Department, with some pride in his voice. Maybe Jake would like that news, as a Potions Masters allows Ater to teach if he so desires, and he wants to do so at some point. “Oh, you believe so? Then I will definitely pay you a visit.” He said to Jake with a smile, wondering what might be of interest in his office to him. |

She made her way over to him, tossing a dazzling smile at a young wizard walking in the opposite direction and he almost crashed into the wall from staring at her. Alex chuckled as she continued toward her target, men could never get enough of her. Stepping up beside Warren, she leaned in close to him. "All work and no play makes for a very boring day, Warren" she purred into his ear. Alex moved in front of him so that he could take full advantage of what Alexandra Montrose had to offer. |
Quote:
As he felt someone coming nearer his thoughts trailed off and his hand moved from the back of his notebook toward his pocket where his wand lie in wait for the next needed moment. That was out of habit though. He had been practicing his wandless abilities, improving them. Hearing the voice that went with the person next to him now he sighed and placed his hand back on his book, not bothering to look up. "No, in fact it makes for a day I happen to like. When one likes what they do it is not work." He spared her a glance that could be construed as decisively unfriendly and looked back at his illegible scrawl. "What do you want, Alex?" |
Alex gave a low throaty laugh as she moved to sit down beside him, crossing on long leg over the other. "This is so true. I like what I do and it's certainly not hard work at all." Seducing men was the easiest job in the world especially if you were Alexandra. She shifted her body slightly towards him. "But you Warren are going to make me work aren't you?" She gave him a smile that would usually melt the hearts of any man but knew it wasn't going to work with Warren and that made the challenge all the more worth it. Alex raised an eyebrow at his question. "Who said I wanted anything? I was merely on my way to the bar and I just thought I would come over and say hello." She leaned back in the chair and regarded Warren with an appreciative gaze. The man was extremely good looking but didn't realise it, which of course made him all the more appealing to her. |
Quote:
Hearing her response he kept his eyes on his notebook and said almost bored, "Because you would have left already if that were the case. I don't do idle chat." He turned the page of his notebook and continued to read with a slight frown. Why was it people insisted on chatting to him? Nathan did it, Egypt did it. The only person who didn't was Alexa...who didn't want anything to do with him now it seemed. The thought brought up the last meeting with Alex and his jaw clenched again. Without taking his eyes off his page he said almost harshly, "Why did you do that? At the bar last time." |
Quote:
Alex threw her head back and laughed before turning her gaze back to Warren, a smirk still on her face. "I'm sorry Warren but that would be giving away all my secrets and you are not that high on my list...yet" she added still smirking. She noticed the clenched jaw and wondered what is was that he was thinking about. Of course she didn't particularly care about his thoughts, it was what else he had to offer that she was interested in. Ah he was a tough nut to crack but she would crack him soon enough. Alex rose gracefully out of the chair and picked up her bag. "As you wish Warren" she purred suggestively. She turned on her heel and took a few steps when he spoke again and she smiled to herself before turning around to face him again. "Do what Warren?" she asked innocently. "You told me to meet you at the bar Warren and that's exactly what I did." Alex raised an eyebrow as she stared at him. "If you're going to play with fire Warren, you will get burnt." |
Quote:
He stared at her with his piercing blue eyes and his jaw tight. After a moment he straightened his jacket and walked past her toward the exit himself. "If I were you I would listen to my advise. You may be fire but I'm a volcano. You tango with me and worse things than getting burn is liable to happen," he said loud enough to hear as he walked away from her and continued toward the exit not having decided where exactly he was going. |
Quote:
She had to admit he was incredibly sexy when he was angry and she let his words wash over and she merely shrugged. "And that worked out real well for you didn't it?" Alex chuckled again, she was finding this whole situation rather amusing. "Maybe you should have just met with me, it would have been less heartache and you never know you might have enjoyed yourself." Of course he would of. Alex never disappointed anyone. "I'm not playing any games with you Warren and believe me I have many pets" she smirked again as she watched him stand up. Oh purlease you haven't got anything on me. "Certainly Warren, whatever you say" she called to his retreating back. "Question is, can you stay away from me?" Alex murmured softly as she watched him walk out of the exit and she waited a few moments before making her way to the doors and get herself that drink she so desperately needed. |
Getting fed up with waiting around the employment office for a job, Theo decided to head to the Atrium. Walking into the grand area Theo was a little overwhelmed with all of the goings on, hoping that one day soon he can be apart of it. Everything was so new to him and he just really wished he knew a few more people around the place. |

He had often wondered which subject he would have liked to indulge in back when he was still at school, but he had always come to the same conclusion - travel. It had been his dream to see the world, to experience living with different cultures, different people. Once he had done that, he had come running back home to begin on his true passion - education. "Yes, I do. Actually, no that you've confirmed that you traveled, I think you'd like it even more. Not to mention my home," he said, thinking of the hundreds of artifacts he had stored in those two places. Oh no, look at the time! he thought as he happened to catch sight of the watch on his wrist. "Listen, Ater, I would love to stick and chat but we both have jobs and I'm late to mine, so promise me you'll drop by sometime later this week ok?" he said quickly, slightly panicking. With a final friendly smile at Ater, he quickly ran towards the lifts, intent on making it in time for once. |
“That is a good rule to live by” he told him with a smile. As Jake was impressed with the fact he was a potions master, he felt for some reason, proud, and his smile became a bit warmer. “Thank you Jake, but I’m afraid it is as you said earlier, if you really want it… and Potions has always been a passion of mine.” Ater had decided to be a Potions Master after just one week of Potions class, he had fallen in love with the subject, far more then he ever imagined. “Ahh, a traveler yourself?” he inquired casually, he really liked this Jake fellow, he was an interesting character. “If I assume correctly, part of it has to do with memorabilia then you might enjoy my home as well” he said with a low chuckle. As his friend looked at the watch and spoke Ater sobered up immediately, "yes, no good to be late on the first day either. I promise Jake, I’ll drop by soon.” He said with a smile and a quick bow as he continued to the security desk. |
As nice as looking around the Atrium is Theo decides to leave and go for a drink at the leaky couldron. |
Becca walked through the atrium slowly, looking around. Hoping to see Brian amongst the crowd was fun. She went on her tiptoes and looked over the heads for that vision of perfection that was Brian. Sighing, she gave up and looked around lostly instead. |

She smiled that was so cool. "Awesome! My boyfriend's in that Department. What do you do over there?" She found that section so much cooler than the one that she was in right now. She wished that she could do something exciting, though she didn't want to be an Auror. |

"Yep, he's training to become an Auror." She smiled. She was a Department Head? Awesome! "Cool. I work in the Apparation Division, and it's so boring." She laughed. |

Spinning out of one of the floo entrances Richard emerged brushing soot off of his jacket and sweater. He pulled his wand out and began tapping the top of the mantlepiece and the sides of the fireplace. It was usually maintenance's job to adjust this sort of thing but it could be done it a few seconds. After a few seconds tapping and twirling of his wand and a mechanical click Richard was satisfied. The fireplace had started admitting sounds through both sides. People had been hearing the sounds of the ministry and the ministry had heard a random cacophany of noise from buildings up and down britain at unpredictable times. Stowing his wand inside his inside jacket pocket, Richard strolled along the atrium. He nodded to a witch escorting a portrait with a pair of legs sticking out of the bottom of the frame. "Hi there? Can I help?" he asked politely. "Well if your ministry can give me a hefty payment for this invention of mine, yes" she replied rather aggressively. "Um, well good luck with that, it's certainly unique" Richard replied rather taken aback. During this conversation the walking portrait began to shift nearer and nearer to the golden gates before breaking into a run. Richard aimed his wand and ignoring the woman's cry that if he broke it he'd be coughing up the money for new materials. He managed to catch the portrait around one of his legs in an invisible lassoo and pulled tripping it over. Stepping nearer to the portrait he could see it was scratched a bit on its framework. "I'm sorry madam but if you can't keep this portrait in a calm subdued state you're not getting past these gates" he said apologetically. She turned away swearing loudly about 'this day and age'. |
The walk hadn't taken that long, or maybe it had and it just hadn't felt like it had taken a long time because he was in awesome company. Although they hadn't talked that much, he couldn't help the small smile he was currently trying to hide from Lili as his hand held hers. Walking into the Atrium, they made their way through the crowded and long room towards the lifts. He wondered how early he would be able to get away tonight so that he could start early. "Thank you for your company." He said to her as they walked through the Atrium. |
"I'm glad we went out, it was just what I needed." she told him, squeezing his hand lightly in thanks. "Now that we're back here," she began, "do you have any idea's about what we can do to liven up our department?" |

She didn't want to let him know it was always slow, but she found she couln't not tell him the truth. "It's pretty much always this slow," she told him, with a sad smile on her face. "I really hope it gets better though," she added after. |
Hmm. He nodded as they continued to walk through the crowded entrance hall. "Let's hope that something new comes through, with Trade or Law." He'd never have thought that it would of been slow and quiet at the Ministry. Maybe they just needed to look at things from a different angle. Maybe. |
