Just outside the Work Area on Level 3, a giant marble statue is showcased proudly near the lifts. The statue is of Mnemone Radford, the fabulous witch who was the first Obliviator in the Ministry and invented memory charms. It's a great place to slip away from the office for a bit (on your break, of course!) and have a nice chat with friends to relieve some stress!

OOC: All Ministry of Magic employees, regardless of their assigned department, are welcome to create their own roleplay in this thread.

As she walked along the third level corridor, a large sculpture caught Lexi's eye. She paused for a moment to read the name of the depicted woman, but she only ended up blinking when she realized how hard it was to pronounce. Her eyes narrowed in confusion, then she finally shrugged it off. From now on, she'd just refer to the woman as Miss Radford. Besides, her first name reminded Lexi of the word pneumonia, and that wasn't a very pleasant word at all. She turned and walked towards and enchanted window. It was a lovely view, even it was a spell and not real at all.

AND Dan and Sam were in time out right now, so there was NO CHANCE of him being interrupted. DOUBLE SCORE!

"Lexi!" Wes exclaimed, coming up next to her and smiling like a loony. "Long time no talk!"

The last thing Lexi expected was to be recognized by someone, let alone someone who knew her well enough to address her by her nickname. With a confused expression on her face, she spun around to see---oh, it was that department head from...well, this level. That explained a lot, like how he recognized her and knew her nickname. She'd just been in his department a few days ago delivering a letter, and she'd met him and a few of his very nice division heads.

People on level three were very friendly to her, that was for sure. "Oh, hello! Wes, right?" she asked, surprised he remembered his name from that one little meeting. "You're right, three days is a really long time." She smiled jokingly then turned to look towards the sculpture. "I was just admiring the sculpture. It's nice."

It's too bad there wasn't a little bench or chair nearby. It'd be a lovely place to sit and talk for a minute or two...or three or four or ten. Lexi seemed to really be enjoying her visits to level three. She just might have to go pay Sam and Dan a visit, as well.

Still, that didn't mean she would AGREE with his brand of punishment. So, he held his tongue.

He would SO impess her with his awesome knowledge of historical figures, he just KNEW it.

He just hoped she wouldn't notice that he had read everything straight off the small bronze plate attached to the bottom of the statue.

She glanced around the corridor, thinking one or both of the boys would pop out at any given moment, but they never did. "You know, people on level three are really friendly."

They had to be--you couldn't lose your temper when all those crazy experiments kept exploding and stuff. "Aww, thanks! We don't get many visitors, so when we do, we treat them extra special," he explained with a grin.

Especially the realllllly pretty Undersecretarys.

"I'm not sure anyone can pronounce it anymore," he said with a small chuckle. He blushed a bit when she brought up the plate, but she didn't seem to notice that he had read that straight off of there, so he brushed it off. "So, how are things on level one? Lexi just sorted blinked in surprise when Wes mentioned Sam and Dan being in time out. Were adults even given time outs? She didn't think so, but apparently Wes believed in it. "Oh, well, tell them I said hello, then," she said. Although she thought a time out for adults was a little odd, she shook it off and forced herself to move on to another topic of conversation.

Although he meant well, what Wes said next really came across the wrong way. It made Lexi feel as if he was just being nice to her because no one else usually visited their level. Her face fell a little, but she said nothing of the matter. "Things on level one are...quiet," she sadly said. With the Minister so busy, it was often times just her and Claudian on the level. She perked up a little and added, "You should come visit sometimes! There's usually no one there but Claudian and I. I'd love the company!"

Suddenly, she was feeling a little more outgoing than usual. Maybe she was just happy to have someone to talk to, or maybe it was the fact that level three always put her in a good mood. Either way, the next words out of her mouth surprised even her. "Hey, Wes, would you like to take a walk with me?" she asked.

He'd have to edit that map Antigone made for him too--she had put a lot of effort into that and he didn't want it to go to waste just because they had moved some offices around!

A smile widened across Lexi's face and she nodded a few times. She knew she could count on Wes, a department head, to relay a message for her. "Thank you," she politely answered, keeping her words short and sweet.

She laughed lightheartedly when Wes mentioned getting lost the last time he went down to level one. "Oh, Wes! No wonder you got lost. Level one is above level three, not below it," she explained. "You need to head up two floors to get to the level I'm on." What was the men in the Ministry of Magic? First Chad mentioned needing a compass to get her to that little cafe on the corner, now Wes apparently needs a map to get to her level in the Ministry of Magic. Lexi actually got a kick out of the fact that most of the men she'd met so far had habits of getting lost.

She stopped laughing and just smiled when he agreed to taking a walk with her. She shrugged, though, when he asked where they should head. "I'll let you lead the way," she remarked, hoping that wasn't a bad decision. If they got lost, though, she was sure at least one of them could figure out how to get back.

Sam was kinda sorta suppose to still be in time out, but he was getting sooooo hungry. And it wasn't like he was going to run into Wes from his trip from the office to the cafeteria, right? His boss was probably in his office working on paper work, thinking that the McDean were still sucking on their pacifiers and staring at the wall.

The idea of Wes being in his office went downhill when he turned the corner in the corridor and saw his boss and... "Alexa!" He exclaimed. Pretty woman had returned to Level 3! This was his lucky day.

He quickly ran his hand through his hair before walking over to Wes and Lexi. "It's a pleasure to see you again," he told her with a grin.

Lexi was still watching Wes, waiting for him to choose where they'd walk to, when she heard someone call for an 'Alexa'. For a moment, it sounded someone was calling Lexi's twin sister, Alexia, but she knew Alexia was far, far away in America and no where near the British Ministry of Magic.

So she kept her attention on Wes, wondering what sort of place he'd take her to. Pretty soon, though, Sam had walked right up to them, announcing how it was a pleasure to see her again. It was only then when Lexi realized she had been the 'Alexa' that was being called. "Oh, hey, Sam! It's nice to see you again, too," she politely said. Were the men finally out of their time out session, or something? "Wes and I were just heading out for a little walk around the Ministry. Would you like to come?"

Wes was just about to suggest that they go look at the pretty fish in that aquarium he had found earlier, when Sam wandered out of the work area and totally threw off his groove!

He wrinkled his eyebrows as Sam didn't even address him--probably cause he knew he was about to be in trouble. He was still in time out! It had only been like...what, 20 minutes? Goodness! That guy couldn't even sit still for a whole hour?

"Sam...what are you doing out here? Last I checked you had not been dismissed yet," he said with a small smile. He really wanted to snap at him, but he was going to be Mr. Nice Boss in front of Lexi. He'd even let Sam get out of the time out if he just DISAPPEARED.

Dan didn't really do things like time out. And he didn't appreciate pacifiers either.

He was rather tempted to find boss man and throw the thing at his head. But he would have to control himself. Yes, he couldn't get fired when he was new to the job.

He followed his brother out of the cubicles, and saw him go towards this statue. And that was when he noticed boss man and the hottie from before.

"Hey, boss man!" He pounded Wes on the back like they were best friends and then smiled at Lexi. "How are you, gorgeous?"

Sam looked towards Wes when Lexi mentioned that they were just heading out for a little walk around the Ministry. "Really? A little walk sounds pleasant," he responded as he looked back at Lexi. And he preferred walking around with the pretty woman than sitting in his office sucking a pacifier. "I would love to come," he added.

The question he was HOPING Wes wouldn't ask had been asked. He looked towards his boss, and then he shrugged his shoulders. "True, I haven't been dismissed yet, but the office was a little too crowded," he answered. "Also, my pacifier fell on the ground." He reached inside his jean pocket and pulled out the blue pacifier he had been given earlier. "I think if you're the one that gave them to us, your the one that should clean it," he added. "Mothers always clean the pacifiers they give their babies." That was the truth.

And here comes Dan. He looked towards his brother for a brief second or two before looking back at Wes and Lexi. WHY did his brother have to follow him?!

Poor Wes.

Lexi could see the frustration practically written all across his face. Sam was meant to be in time out, but apparently the division head had other ideas. This amused Lexi, seeing two grown men put into time out only to break out of said time out later on. For a moment, she glanced down to hide an little smile.

"Exactly what did he do?" she asked, wondering if it was something really terrible, something that needed to be addressed right away. That was when Sam's partner-in-crime, Dan, showed up. Apparently, both division heads had taken matters into their own hands. Now Lexi was really interested to hear what they'd done. "...and Dan, what did he do?"

She turned her attention to Dan, smiling at the way he greeted her. "Hey, Dan. How are you?" she asked. She'd ask Dan to accompany she and Wes on their walk, but the way things were going, a walk looked to be out of the question now.

Now the other one too?! What was with these guys? Did they not understand the concept of time out or something? Geez, they were going to turn him GREY. He was going to be grey before he even turned fourty!

"Can neither of you stay in time out for more than half an hour?" he asked with an eye roll. "It doesn't really get the message across if you get up right away!"

He looked at Lexi. What did they do? The correct question should be where should he START. "Well, Sam and Dan have been arguing a bit so they decided the best way to handle the situation was to dump various liquids on the other person's head," he explained, crossing his arms.

"You have a wand, you can clean it yourself," he told him, sticking his perfect nose in the air. He turned to Lexi and gave her a little puppy dog pout face before smiling playfully. "I'm so sorry you need to witness all of our drama up here. Normally I'm not handing out pacifiers to employees--only the ones who behave like babies," he said, looking at Dan and Sam in turn. She was in a leadership position here, she had to understand what he was talking about, right?

"Whhatttt?" he asked when Sam said he was coming with. Heck NO he was NOT. "You're NOT invited," he grumbled to him so that only Sam could hear. Didn't he know it was impolite to invite yourself somewhere? That was essentially what he was doing even if she HAD asked him. She wouldn't have asked if he hadn't just BARGED in there. Tsk tsk, Wes was going to have to open up a Charm School just for these two. Wesley Kutcher's Ministry Charm School. Hehe.

Dan smirked and threw his pacifier at Sam's head when he figured that Wes was too busy lecturing to notice.

Then he smiled at Lexi. "I'm doing great. How are you fitting in here? I should so take you on a walk around the Ministry or something." Even though he was new and had no idea how to get around the place really.

Yes, he was ignoring everyone else.

Sam was distracted by the statue for a moment or two, but he did hear Wes' question about the time out. Truth was, he could stay in time out longer than half an hour. He was just hungry since his time out had cut into his lunch time that he had planned with Tasha, so that's the reason he left after staring at the wall for 20 minutes. "I can stay in time out for longer than half an hour," he told Wes. "I was just..."

His sentence has been cut short due to the fact that Wes had spilled the beans on WHY they had been in time out. "Actually," he spoke up. "It was two liquids: coffee and water."

He raised an eyebrow when Wes stuck his nose in the air, then he rolled his eyes as he placed the pacifier back inside his pocket. Sam didn't catch Wes giving Lexi the puppy dog eyes, but he didn't catch what was said next about giving pacifiers to people acting like babies! He sooooo wanted to say something about that, but he kept his mouth shut. Lexi was there and he didn't want to look bad in front of her! ~~He probably already kinda did since she knew about the time out.~~

Smirking at Wes' reaction towards his invited on the walk, he looked over at his boss. WAIT. Did Wes just say he wasn't invited? Tsk tsk. That man was just being rude now. He had been invited by Lexi, which he deserved brownie points for, and Wes was just being a meanie, which deserved point deduction.

Look who was catching up now!

"I think I was invited," he whispered back to Wes. Just as he finished that sentence, something hit him in the back of the head. He turned around to see Dan and the pink pacifier on the ground.

"Really?" He questioned. Couldn't Dan be mature? Apparently, he couldn't be.

Wes was sooo glad he didn't have something in his hand right now, otherwise he would have crushed it flat. "Enough! Both of you!" he said, waving his wand and chucking the pacifier into a near by trash bin. If they weren't going to USE them he wasn't going to leave them lying around as possible projectiles.

"Can't you behave for just TWO SECONDS?" he asked through gritted teeth. He took a deep breath and ran a hand through his ~~gorgeous~~ wavy hair.

"Now, you two can come on a walk with us IF, and ONLY IF, you agree to act civil towards each other," he said. Oh boy, he had to be scoring MAJOR points with Lexi and his awesome assertiveness! Hehe. "If not...guess what YOU two are going to be doing the rest of the day?"

He didn't wait for them to guess. "Sitting in time out, doing MILES and MILES of paperwork. Sound fun?"

Part of him WANTED to do that just so they'd be out of his hair for a while. Was it too much to ask to just have one day alone with her? Just one? Apparently so.

He turned to Lexi and flashed his dazzling smile. If he put on the charm during this walk she wouldn't even REMEMBER those two were THERE. "Where to, your highness?"

Dan wasn't really paying attention to his brother or boss man. All he really got out of everything, was that he was allowed to go on the walk too. Score! He could try to woo her away from Wes and into his arms ~~until he got bored of her~~.

Feeling as if she was a "fourth wheel" so to speak, Lexi distracted herself by glancing out the nearest enchanted window. Again, the view lovely, even if she knew it to only be an illusion. A small part of her felt as if she should speak up and reprimand all of them for causing such chaos, but then again, she was still more amused than anything. She sort of saw the situation as boys just being boys.

When Wes addressed her question about what both men had done to deserve a time-out, Lexi turned her attention away from the window and towards the department head. She raised her eyebrows, again amused, when he said they'd thrown various amounts of liquid on each others head. She laughed a little when Sam clarified that it'd been only two liquids. "Wow," she said, shaking her hand while she laughed. "Looks like I left before all the good stuff happened." She gave them all a playful expression as she said, though.

Wes's puppy dog expression didn't go unnoticed. Lexi just smiled at him and thought that between all the food fighting and puppy dog expressions, the men on level three were...well, insane. Insane in a good way, though. Hanging out with these three surely made her day more interesting. "Oh, there's no need to apologize to me. Things get a little quiet on level one, and I'm happy to see a little something out of the ordinary."

Lexi then turned attention back to Dan, who was asking how she was fitting in around the Ministry. "It's been great so far. Everyone is really welcoming and...well, interesting to talk to," she said, her eyes flickering to all three men when she said that. Her face lit up when he mentioned something about a walk around the Ministry. It seemed like everyone was interested in walking. "Well that's exactly what we're about to, Dan. You should come with us," she remarked.

Lexi turned to Wes with a shocked but playful expression when he referred to her as highness. "Wow, your highness...I'm impressed," she said. "Hmm, how about level six? I haven't been to level six yet." She nodded when Dan asked if they could go. She was ready to go, too, for things around Miss Mnemone Radford were getting kind of tense. "Off we go!" On that note, she headed off towards level six.

Sam didn't like looking at Wes, because the man looked just a tinnnnny bit mad. He rubbed the back of his neck when Wes told them that was enough, and then he looked towards Dan. THAT one was the one misbehaving at the moment; Sam wasn't the one that threw the pacifier, mind you. He was being a good lil' man. "We behaved during that 20 minute time out session, didn't we?" He responded as a matter of factly. It WAS true, though. During that 20 minutes, he faced the wall and minded his own business.

He was about to open his mouth towards the acting civil comment until Dan spoke up and said civil was HIS middle name. If only that was true, he thought. Looking towards Lexi, he knew he had to agree to be civil if he had any chance of spending time with her...even if Wes might ruin his flirting. "I'll be civil," he responded. Or at least try to be civil. Either way, he had scored! Wes didn't want him invited, but here he was, about to go on a walk with Miss Pretty Lexi. Bwaha.

...MILES and MILES of paper work? That just sounded charming. He knew, though, Wes would do that if it came down to it. Bleh, he did NOT want to do paper work! "It doesn't sound fun at all," he responded. "I'd much rather be on a walk with Alexa...and you." Forget Dan. Dan could get lost during the walk for all he cared.

When Wes called Lexi 'highness', he immediately looked over at him. Is this how he wanted to play? Mhmm. Two could most definitely play this game. He just had to find that right time to bring out his moves.

"Level 6? I haven't been there either," he commented to Lexi. Truthfully, he hasn't been much of anywhere besides his own level. "What Department is Level 6?" He curiously asked. Sam really needed to memorize the departments sooner or later! He was choosing later, though.

"Yes, yes. Let's go!" He exclaimed as he pushed himself right past Wes, so that he could be right next to Lexi during their trip to Level 6.

Wes' eyes widened as Sam pushed him RIGHT out of the way, nearly knocking him down in the process. RUDE MUCH?! Gah! He was going to have to give that boy another time out later.

He followed them lamely as the left the area and headed for level six.

Ingrid headed along the third level corridor on a small tour of the different levels when a rather large sculpture caught her interest. She stopped to read the gold plaque fastened to the marble stone with interest. The sculpture was of a woman whom had an awfully long and hard pronounceable name. There was no use even trying, Ingrid reasoned. Shrugging slightly she figured referring to the woman as just Ms Radford wouldn’t be too dishonorable. Ingrid admired the sculpture for a few more moments before she moved to take a seat on the bench under the enchanted window which looked very similar to the stained glass window on her own level.
