Maddie sat and pondered that question. What would make a young wizard or witch be more responsible?
Maddie nodded in the direction of Ryan. "I agree. The whole 'responsibilty' thing starts at home, and has to be disciplined at school."
Danielle walked into the confrence room. Seeing a lot of people in deep conversation she sat next to a friend. SHe knew it was Maddie Sterling. SHe sat down smile and got into the conversation.
I believe so to. Responsibilty for a young wizard or witch, does indeed start at home. But it also depends on the parents. Whether the parents themselves can give the children responsibilty. Or whether they have it thereselves.

"So...you are speaking about family. That's another good point." Pushing himself a bit away from the chair, Leo started to slowly pace around. "So basically, what you are saying..." Oh he hoped he was thinking right, "That we are raising the students...as if we were their family. Because we, like a parent, have the responsability and fortune to teach them what we know. Yes?"
"So, coming back to what Mr. Granger said... What do you think would be the best way to reach out to a young witch or wizard? I mean, what could you do to make him or her realise how important it is to be responsible with his talent?"
Ronan watched as Leo began to pace around him. The action was actually making him nervous but he would never say so. Not to the Mister Boss Man. He cleared his throat and replied, nodding, "Yes, I believe that the Wizarding community is a family. We share one sole secret that we keep from most of the rest of the world, given that there are a few Muggleborn witches and wizards in this day in age, as well as other with a Muggle parent."
Himself included.
"It is important for the future generations of our kind to learn as much as they can from previous experiences through their general education at Hogwarts."
The young man thought long and hard at the Department Head's second question. How to reach out the students?
"Well certainly further informing them of the dangers and benefits of being a wizard can be would be helpful." Ronan suggested looking around the room for some sort of reaction from anyone.
Lyra looked down at her nails as there seemed to be one with a rather sharper edge than before. OH SHOOT! Somehow or another that fingernail seemed to have snagged on something between her nice beautiful, PINK feminine desk and...her eyes glanced up as she began tuning into voices that were speaking around her. Oh goodie. Someone was speaking up finally. She listened to the different speeches and hearing the suggestions that were being but it just didn't seem to catch her attention, be the things she wanted to learn when at Hogwarts.
"When I was in school just a couple of years back we had a wonderful Professor that taught us the ways of fashion, the latest trends, you know really girlie things." She sighed with a smile on her face and looked around with nothing more to say at that moment unless someone asked.

And finally the beauty was speaking and... ''Exactly!'' Ryan exclaimed in a sudden pointing at the woman ''Ms Noir has a good point. You know in a huge class not every student is the same. Some are rebellious and while trying to reach those kids to educate them, they can be quite much of a trouble for the teacher. So what is the best way to reach every individual in a class even to the rebellious ones?'' he looked around ''Of course, as Ms Noir pointed out, we can do that by using their personal interests''

Lyra was rather shocked from someone agreeing with her and of all people it was Mr. Chambers. She smiled gracefully, twirling a piece of blonde hair around her finger having a proud moment of herself. Maybe this wasn't going to be as bad as she though? Maybe working in the Ministry would give her new things to accomplish and new goals to reach.
"Well, even though it was the Herbology Professor at the time, she made teaching enjoyable, fashionable...something that made me pay attention as..." she paused dramatically for a slight laugh and a roll of her eyes, "...I mean, paying attention in school was not my forte so to speak." And how she was picked for this department she would never know but the gentlemen were surely nice to look at.
Luna walked in to the conference room with her fingers crossed she was quite sure there must be something happening in the conference but wasn't sure what is her part of work so she grabbed a seat and began making some coffee and looked around the room to find someone to tell her what was going on in the room.
Seeing some movement out of the corner of his eye, Leo turned and saw a young girl arriving. She had missed a bit of their discussion, but there would be more to come, ofcourse. "Good morning, Miss Riddle." Yes, he knew who she was. Filling cabinets rock. "Please help yourself to some breakfast and join us in the discussion. We are talking about why we are working in this lovely department." He smiled at her.

Therefor the teacher should be patient and should learn to tolerate mistakes in a certain extend''
This was most interesting!
Leo was totally concentrated on what Ryan was saying and nodded to let him know he was listening. "That was really interesting, thankyou Mr. Chambers. It is amazing how delicate and awesome a child's mind is. You can imagine, if we are here, working to make the education of our young ones the best it can be, how crucial is it for a Professor to do the best he or she can to help the students grow..." Musing out loud... hmmm. "It is a heavy responsability." THEY ALL had a massive responsabilty. Almost made Leo gulp just thinking about it. Hehe.

Ah, Miss Sterling! Leo gave her a curteous nod and smile, after hearing what she had to say. "Yes, indeed, good point, Miss Sterling. I agree... We could consider ourselves lucky, that we have an instiution that offers the discipline and education needed for the students. As Mr Chambers pointed out, all those stages are crucial aswell, and I believe we are all here to make sure they all can...'pass' safely through all of them. " Or well, most, since the last part was for the 20 year olds. Hehe. "Let me ask you, how was Your experience in school. Did you feel the Professors did everything they could?" He looked first at Maddie and then at everyone else, inviting them to answer aswell.

Oh! Another person! "Welcome, Miss Waters!" and how wonderful, she jumped right into the conversation! "Ah, exellent point there." Veryyy. "Do you think the students who do not have the experience of responsability at home to get a bit more extra 'attention' in school? Sort of to make it up?"

But, as I'm sure you might have experienced, some information when you are that young can be VERY boring." He chuckled. "How do you think we could go about in informing them? Still nodding and smiling big at the things they've come up with, he turned his head towards Lyra when she spoke. And kept looking at her. For about thirty seconds.
That had been pretty random. And Leo loved it!
He laughed. "I bet she was an exellent Professor." She had indeed had a good connection with her pupils. That's a big plus.

Well that answered his question. "Yes! That is a wonderful idea! Ofcourse everyone has an interest in something, and it would be put into good use to educate them further. Or just, like your fashion Professor, a mentor kind of relationship." Nod nod.

Leo watched her pick out a cookie (Yummeh!) and sit down at the table. He was still smiling warmly at her when he adressed the young woman. "Would you like to share with us why you decided to work in the Department of Education?" He was interested and curious to know. And it would be nice to know a bit more about his colleagues, since he was working with them, afterall.

Lyra's mouth fell open. Never in all of her years had the words 'wonderful idea' been directed towards...herself unless it was something she suggested to Christian. Her attitude changed, suddenly it was as if she was seeing a vibrant bright light at the end of the SMART tunnel. Herself of all people suggesting a good idea? Something was wrong with this picture but if she were dreaming, please no one spoil the fun just yet.
"Well, she was more than just a mentor," Lyra pretended to blush when really she was soaking in the very feeling of being smart for once in her life. "There are only certain things you can do with plants, really," one could not wear them and come up with new fashion ideas of course. "It was good to dwell on other things for a change." She sounded smart. Was this her moment to speak a lot of nothing and pretend to be smart? Why yes it was.

The real question there was, what could that possibly be? The young man sighed and began to drum his fingernails on the table before him in concentration.

Ryan smiled at Lyra as she seemed to be content with herself than at everyone while he sat back on his seat to listen to Mr. Buena and others speaking.
He carefully listened to both Mr Cavanaugh and Mr Granger who had good stataments to point out. Then he turned to Mr Granger to answer his question ''I think, yes, what Mr Cavanaugh has suggested is a hard goal to accomplish yet i am fairly certain that it is possible''
Being quite much of a talkative person Ryan, of course could not remain silent when others spoke so he stood up to adress everyone, again. ''You know, every individual enjoy expressing his or herself in a way. It is about the ego and it is present in everyone. Hence why simple personality tests have a high rating among especially young people. So, if we let them express themselves by...maybe a class game, which youngster dislikes playing a new game? And we can adapt the class subject to that game. They will be both learning and having fun''

"It sounds like a pretty good idea Mr. Chambers" said Oliver. "Bringing a sense of fun into a learning environment will surely spark the creativity of young minds, and also give a feeling of entertainment. But at the same time, shouldn't there be a sense of learning thrown into the game. Although most students like the idea of fun in a classroom, I feel there will be a few that would rather be learning about the subject of the class. So if games become part of a classroom I think there should be certain regulations to how they work, and should have guidelines to teach the students the subject at hand. as well as having fun" said Oliver.

Aw, that was sweet - a great teacher being more than a mentor. A friend, perhaps? Leo listened to the woman as she recounted her tale. "That is lovely. And, do you feel it has added to your wonderful learning experience in the school?" That is, had her years as a student been enchanced by her mentor? "See, we could ALL use a couple of more dedicated Professors, to take time with the youth." It was IMPORTANTE!

"Ah, an activity." He nodded, crossing one arm over his chest, while the other's elbow rested ontop of it, his hand scratching his stubbled chin. "I supposed we DO find an activity..." Hehe. He looked around the room with a slight shifty look. "So...any ideas?"

This might make it difficult, but that is why we need to work extra hard to figure something out. Make the Professors take time and figure things out with us. But it will work, you'll see."

See? Even Ryan think so. Snort.
Leo nodded, hoping they would start a discussion amongst themselves. Oh, there he goes... Raising his eyebrows in curiosity, Leo remained where he was to listen. Ah! Exellent!"That is one way to do it, Mr Chambers. Good idea there." But one thing... "You mentioned tests, do you mean there could be a sort of test, implemented in the actual game?" Because that could work. "One thing we don't want, is for the students to feel subjected to a test. Sure, we are here to try out new things to help us improve their education, but they should never feel like we are scrutinizing their every move or testing their IQ. Right?" Did that make sense?

Oh.

Gosh his team was so smart! Lovely! "That is a VERY good point, Mr Granger. There should be structures for the students...because that might be what they crave - like a sort of routine, you know? They are used to having guidelines and such, taking that away might be...how you say, confusing. For a lack of better word. And that would certainly help their education, getting some more fun into it all. Because we all know how horrible boring it could get with learning things, eh?" He smirked, clearly joking. Or not. Hehe.

Ronan blinked as he thought up what they could possibly do. 'Hmmm a very hard question.' he thought rubbing his hand over his smooth skin. It was still weird not having facial hair, Ronan having to shave it off when the babies were born so he didn't hurt their skin.
'Fun but educational.' he thought wondering if it would be weird if he started to pace. For some reason, whenever the young man walked around it helped him thinking more. But he wasn't going to try and make a spectacle of himself. It wasn't his style.
"Mister Buena, I was wondering if perhaps we could offer a school-wide scavenger hunt? They would have to either complete little tasks or solve riddles and in order to find the prizes to win the game."
Maddie's eyes brightened at the thought of that, but then dampened. "Umm, Mr. Cavanaugh? Not that that's a bad idea, but how would that instill responsibility on our students? I mean, wouldn't that encourage forms of irresponsibility with magic, such as cheating?" Maddie didn't mean to be a downer, but c'mon!
Ewww! Tests. Not one of Lyra's favorite topics by any means. "I was never fond of taking tests," it showed from the ONE NEWT she received while in school. Hard stuff those tests were...indeed. She was never fond of anything much more than her own self really, unless it was Christian. "Tests just...scare me. I saw do something more fun like..." hmmm...to her a fashion show would just be awesome but that was not learning. That was just...pure fun.
"But you know, every child is different," Lyra began as she remembered those who were less fortunate than her. Poor things. "Some are super smart, book wise that is while others are smart street wise. It's almost as if you need more than one approach to make things fun." School fun? What was wrong with her? Woww!
Anna took some more bites of her cookie as he spoke to her about him "It's good to know more about the people who work with you, right?" she said smilingly. "So, please do inform me too as you'll bring this amazing idea to act" she said and wondered what would she do next.
"Yes, it is." Leo smiled, agreeing with the woman. But... Uhm. That was an...unusual request. Leo blinked at Anna for a moment, before opening his mouth. "Ofcourse, I will always inform all of you about these things." Like...duh. Hehe, but he was glad to see her being so enthusiastic.

They would have to either complete little tasks or solve riddles and in order to find the prizes to win the game."
...
At Ronan's words, Leo turned to the man...and stared. Just like STARED. STAAAAARE.
"Scavenger hunt?" Oh! "That is FANTASTIC!" Oh the joooy! "Wouldn't that be a fun thing to doo? " He turned to everyone with a wide grin. Oh that sounded most exciting! Leo began pacing again, now with more excitement.

But whatnow? Oh, she had a poiiint. Hm. "Yes, indeed it could, good thinking there Miss Sterling. Although...if we could make it uncheatable," Was that even a word? Nevermind, Leo's english was going weird due to this excitement. "And we could set it up with rules and guidelines. Even have other elements. Like helping eachother out. Say they need to work as a team to finish the hunt." Oh oh oh! "I know Hogwarts has different houses that the students are very loyal too, but how about they have to NOT join a team with someone from the same house?" Ey, eyyyy EEEY? Hehe.

"But you know, every child is different," Lyra began as she remembered those who were less fortunate than her. Poor things. "Some are super smart, book wise that is while others are smart street wise. It's almost as if you need more than one approach to make things fun." School fun? What was wrong with her? Woww!
Leo stopped pacing as he listened to Lyra. He chuckled softly. She was in a world of her own, that woman. "I know, tests are no fun. At all." But, unfortunately, there was no other way of...testing. If it was...they would be called tests anyways. Heh!
She was about to say something else, and Leo even turned his head slightly to have his ear take in whatever it was she was going to say. But... nothing came. Uhm.
Right about to speak up again, Lyra beat him to it! "It is true. Everyone is different. Though also the same." Riddle? Oh! RIDDLES! "The hunt should totally have riddles in it." Like REALLY. Yay!"Street and book smart. Nice words there. Which is why we would need to impliment every type of...'area' into it."
WHAT SAY YOOOOOOOU!
Oh, almost time for painting. Hehe.

"A scavenger hunt around Hogwarts sounds like a brilliant idea" said Oliver with enthusiasm. It would be a great way of having students learn about all of the subjects at once, plus it would another great way for students to learn outside the classroom" said Oliver. "The only thing I think we would have to worry about would be establishing how it would be set up, and what areas of Hogwarts the scavenger hunt would take place" said Oliver. "Oh, and shouldn't we get a plan from the professors ahead of time just so we know the magic they are using for the scavenger hunt isn't too advance for the students participating" said Oliver.

Maddie thought about this. "It does sound delightful, but since when do students oblige to rules willingly? If we were to do this, it would call for extensive supervision, and it would only interfere with the curriculum."Maybe this could work. Maybe.
