Torquil rushed into the Conference room, he had just gotten his transfer, and now he had been told to be in the Conference room stat! He rushed in, and slid to a stop. "Hello.." He said a little more smoothly as he sauntered to a chair and slid into it.
"My name is Torquil Snow, I am an new Employee in the time room." He said looking around, smiling..

Kris immediately sat up straighter at the new entrance. Did he just say Time Room?

"Time Room, did you say?" he asked, leaning forward and against the table. "Looks like you'll be working with me, mate. I'm Kris Atkins."

Smiling at Torquil, Becca watched him slip into a chair "Morning," she grinned "Welcome to the Department Mr. Snow" she smiled. Time room, she was already on Kris' small problem of understaffing.

Becca smiled at Kris as he sat up straight. Haha, he was obviously excited to have a new employee. She smiled as she slid onto the side cabinet. She looked round the room and waited for more people to turn up.

Torquil looked up at a man who leaned forward when he came in. He smiled at him and nodded. "Yes, I did say Time Room, it says that.. uhh.." He searched his pockets for the slip of parchment he had received by owl.. "Yes, see here.. Time Room.." He said jabbing at the parchement. "Hello Kris, I am Torquil, I will be glad to be working for you.." He said with a brief nod.

Torquil turned his attention to what he assumed was the head of the Department. "Thank you Mrs.." He took a quick look at the parchment.."Lee.. It is a pleasure to be here, and working in your wonderful department.." He nodded and smiled and looked around at everyone, before turning his attention back to her, and folding his hands in his lap..

Melina watched as Kris straightned up at mention of a new employee to the Time Room and smiled. She knew that he was frustrated at the lack of employees showing up to work, and was glad that he had another hand to help out. Melina then took the opportunity to introduce herself to her fellow collegue and spoke up.
"Hi, I'm Melina Moretti- Papadakis. I work in the Time Room as well. It's a pleasure to meet you.", smiling and held her hand out.

Her hazel eyes focused on Mr. Snow as he seemed to be a little flustered. When he called her Mrs. Lee, she shook her head "It's Becca" she nodded firmly "Really, only my husband's allowed to call me Mrs. Lee." she grinned and kept her eyes on Mr. Snow "I'm glad to have you here... and I hope you like the department half as much as I do." she looked round with a smile.

What a great way to start your first day at work...meeting everyone all at once.

With an amused expression, Lucien entered the Conference Room. Last time he checked his 12-pointer watch, he wasn't late but he was expecting a huge amount of people inside the room. To his surprise, he was greeted with the site of...just a handful individuals there.

Are we this few? No wonder it's easy to keep secrets in the Department of Mysteries.

Lucien did an inventory of the room with one sweep of his eyes, noting how a lot of them seemed to be younger than him. It would seem that he's going to work for a youngster. Ah well, that's life.

"Morning," he greeted with a manly voice, quite not fitting for his pretty face. "Lucien Deveril, new Time Room employee."

"Morning, have a seat" Becca smiled and nodded to Kris again with a small smile. She knew what it was like having few people in your division and getting frustrated with the ones who didn't turn up. Where was everyone else?!

Without a word, Lucein seated himself on one of the vacant seats in the room. He discreetly eyed the lady who told him to have a seat and knew instantly that she was in-charge.

Might be the Mrs. Becca Lee signed in that acceptance letter.

And as silently as he seated himself, he waited for the meeting to commence.

Oh gee, she hated being late. She hated, hated, HATED it! As Alice entered the room, she glanced at her watch quickly reading the time.

Alice Sumner, was precisely one minute and 30 seconds late. Oh the shame. she looked at the others, letting her wrist drop her wrist to her side, and continued into the room, trying to look casual, and...

Well, not guilty of LATENESS.

Taking a deep breath, she dropped gracefully into one of the chairs, giving everyone a small nod of the head in greeting, matched with a smile. At least she was awake. If she hadn't stopped for that coffee this morning before work, she probably wouldn't be here at all. Oh, yes, she'd be sitting here...but she'd be off in her dream world.

Alice glanced around, seeing a few....sort familiar faces. For some reason, none of her employees were there though...

Flapjacks! What's up with that?

Becca smiled at Mr. Deveril and then turned back to the door as she heard someone else coming in. Finally, Miss Sumner. Becca shook her head and watched her sit down casually. Well, at least she didn't make a scene. A small sigh escaped her. Okay. The rules of the department were going to get set down. Today.

Melina glanced around the room at all of her coworkers. It was interesting to watch how they all reacted to eachother. Some seemed to be good friends with many and making light conversation. Others seemed anxious and remained silent.
People watching was not something Melina was unfamiliar with. She actually observed people quite a lot to pass time, or to figure things out. She watched their body language carefully, wondering if it matched their words.

Sitting in her chair, she felt content and was not so much as nervous, as interested in what the meeting ahead would contain. Glancing around once more, she wondered if this was it or if there were still more employees to come. There had to be, she decided, before crossing her right leg over the left and settling back into her chair.

Closing her eyes for a moment, she realized how tired she was as her eyelids felt heavy and she almost struggled to get them open. She needed something to wake her up so she quietly conjured a cup of coffee, grabbing it instantly and putting it to her lips. The warm liquid slid down her throat slowly. She had never really enjoyed coffee but it kept her awake, so she drank it anyway. There, She thought smiling, Feeling better already.

Aidon rushed into the room, his face flustered. He brandished his wand and sat down just as a chair zoomed beneath him. Breathing heavily, he looked up and smiled to everyone.
"Sorry guys, we had a-er- complication in the Hall," he said between breaths. He looked at everyone. It seemed they were still in the introduction stage of the conference. He let out a small sigh of relief and decided it was best to break the awkwardness with his own introduction.
"Hi, hello. I'm Aidon Elric...the Division Head of the Hall of Prophecy. Nice to see you all," he said brightly. He knew a few of his colleagues already, but he had yet to meet his new Department Head. He gave another smile to Becky and looked at everyone.

"Complication?" Becca's eyed locked onto Mr. Elric as he tried to catch his breath and explained the reason for his lateness vaguely. She smiled back at him and decided that she'd have to talk to everyone who wasn't here later on. Casting Aidon a curious glance, she stood up.


"Morning everyone.. thanks for coming to this at such short notice..." Becca shook her head and decided to get the introduction over "I'm Becca Lee, your new department head" she nodded "I've got my office down there" Becca pointed out the door "And to the right" she nodded "Feel free to come and see me at anytime about anything.. even if it's not work related" she smiled warmly.

"Okay.. now the boring stuff..." she nodded "I have one rule in my office... No coffee" she looked around the room "And I'm afraid I'm going to have to start asking you all to keep the coffee intake to a minimum when we have meetings like this.. I know I'm boring, but I'm sure you can all stay awake" she waved her wand once again to clear the room of the smell "But it's mostly because coffee and I don't mix.. Kris will tell you that" Becca nodded towards Kris as the vivid memory of her collapsing in front of him and then Brian coming to take her away from the area came to mind.

"I must also ask you all to do as much as you can to help out your division head, as we have a busy time coming up.." Becca looked around the room "The Quidditch World Cup is coming to England and we have jobs to do" a smile crossed her face "Now before I start telling you all what needs doing, are there any questions?" she asked, looking around the room. It was her first big meeting, she hoped she was doing okay.

Melina watched as another Department head walked in, slightly out of breath. It was very interesting watching people interact to tardiness, because they all took it in different ways. It seemed to bother this fellow. Melina smiled in his direction and then turned back to face their new Head as she made her introductory speech.

With the new knowledge that the Department Head could not take coffee, at all, she respectfully took her's over to the garbage bin and threw it out, before taking a seat again, coloring slightly, though it wasn't that big a deal, it was just a wake up for her. Melina listened to the speech carefully and nodded and gave small gestures when appropriate. Finally, they had reached the end of the speech and Melina replied with a quick "No, ma'm." after she had taken a few seconds to process.

Aidon gave a weak smile as his breathing regulated. He smiled back to the other employee girl who smiled to him. Giving her a slight wave, he looked back at Becca.
"Erm, I guess I'll explain that later," he said, not wanting to temporize the meeting any further with his Division's ordeals. He shrugged at her policy on coffee: he detested coffee either way.
"No, not yet," he said, shaking his head to Becca's questions about them having any questions.

New Department head, huh? Alice couldn't help but wonder. Did they changed Heads a lot? It had only changed once sine she'd been her, but Sophia had been new as she came in...

Oh well. She didn't really mind having a new Division Head, so long as the new one was kind and knew what she was doing.

But Wait.

WAIT.

WAIT!

No coffee? Alice let out a noise that resembled a sniffle. Coffee was her water on the face, her air horn to the ear, HER Energizer Bunny.

Hm. She suppose she could do without it in Becca's office though. That was reasonable enough. After all, maybe she was allergic or something. The division head nodded slightly to signify she was listening and could agree to the ban of coffee from her office. She could drink her coffee in the Break Room, annnyway. She'd just have to be a bit more careful about it when her Department head was around. She didn't wanna get on her sore side so soon, after all.

Annnnnd Quidditch. Wonderful. She wasn't much of a flier herself, but she certainly wouldn't mind any sort of extra work that came with the World Cup. Not at all. She shook her head 'No' as Becca asked if anyone had any questions, and waited for her to continue on and tell them what their tasks would be relating to the event.

Smiling warmly at the lady who'd thrown her coffee out, Becca nodded "Thank you" she really did appreciate the woman's kindness. "Alright.." she nodded with a smile before turning to the next person to speak.

"Okaaay." she replied hesitantly and then nodded as he said he had no questions. Becca was curious... and slightly worried about this 'complication'.

Hearing the sniffle-like sound, Becca looked over at Alice "Ms. Sumner?" she leant forward a little to try and see the woman's face. But when the division head nodded, Becca smiled "I wouldn't do it if I didn't have to" she smiled "I think my husband would ban me from coming down here if he knew there would be coffee round every corner" Becca smiled, half joking. Then she nodded as Alice shook her head to say she had no questions.

"Okay. Well, I have all your assignments here" Becca smiled and held up files. One for each room.

"Brain Room" Becca looked over at the division head to the brain room "Study sports nutrition for the brain, find ways to improve athletic ability and or performance through the foods we eat and liquids we drink."

"Death Chamber" Becca looked over at the temporary division head to the room and smiled "Work with Brain Room on the research aspect of the brain, but with more specific focus on brain injuries"

"Hall of Prophecy" Becca looked down at the division head and smiled a little "Just keep an eye out for any prophecies that predict problems at the match" she nodded

"Locked Room" Becca now turned her gaze to the division head of that room "Work on new names for love potions, also design advertisements to be shown at the event. It's possible they can be sold in the concession tent but not definite"

"Planet Room" Becca looked back at the division head, thinking about Brian because of what she was about to say "Work with the Maintenance Division to ensure that the matches are scheduled during a time that is convenient according to what the astrological signals are. So if the planets are moving in a way that says it's going to rain and lightning, move them to a more clearer weekend of sunshine and blue skies." she explained clearly with a smile.

"And last but not least, Time Room" Becca looked over at the person who seemed to be dreaming, Kris "Work on a short-term time-turner that allows officials to review play and ensure no cheating occurred. Also work on a new omniocular creation if possible"

Becca then looked around the room and smiled "Are there any questions now?" she asked.

Melina smiled back and replied, "Not a problem. I'm not really a big fan of it either, it's just there for the occasional wake up call." Melina let her eyes wonder as she studied the woman who'd just turned away, and had, after several minutes of looking her over, decided that she liked her.

She listened as the woman began to give assignments, though it wasn't until she heard "and last but not least, The Time Room.", That she really began paying attention. That didn't sound very difficult, and if she had any specific questions, she had decided, she would ask Kris.

Making certain that she did not have anything to ask, she turned the words over in her head. I can do that, Melina thought and then shook her head, "No." As she glanced around, she wondered what everyone else thought of their tasks.

Becky: This is the end of the whole Department meeting

DH walked down from the Maintenance Department towards the conference room of the Mysteries Department. He opened the door and flicked his wand to turn on the lights. This was used before when the new department head had her first meeting as the head of the Mysteries.

He gave another flick of his wand and the room was spik and span. He set the table so three chairs are close to each other.

That would do it. He opened the door widely so the ladies that was following him can come inside.

EEEP.
Okay well, this wasn't something you did everyday. Staying silent, just because it seemed fit to do so. Callie just smiled. RRRIGHT, take a seat. That was what the chairs were there for right? Or were they just gonna beat her with the chair?

EH.

Slipping into the room after getting the note, Becca grabbed a chair and sat in a corner of the room, leaning back and getting comfortable. Watching Miss Fairweather and Mr. Smith, she smiled at them. She wasn't going to say anything.. not yet anyway.

Rosalie looked around with slight nervousness at the Conference Room.She hesitated wondering what she was supposed to do.She looked around at the other lady who was present there and smiled politely.She wondered if it would be considered as impolite to sit immediately before the others do.The waited for DH to do something.

DH looked over the people in front of him. Well this will be good. he thought for a moment and nodded.

He cleared his throat and started to speak, "Hello, we are well aware that the Quidditch World Series is close at hand. And as preparation, we are here to give schedules. And by that I mean, we will make use of the planets to predict the weather for the games." he said looking gleeful to the ladies in front of him. He smiled but inside he was nervous. He had never spoken before ladies. And they are intimidating.

DH sighed, "As of the moment, I ordered my employees to clear of any nuissance there may be with this assignment. So by tomorrow or the day after, we can start doing our job." he said looking for any hint in Becca's face.

Listening to DH, Becca understood what he meant. He wanted to set the weekend the match was going to be on quickly. She nodded encouragingly at him when he paused and seemed slightly nervous. Then when he glanced at her, she nodded again, confirming what he was saying.
