Department of Magical Education Examinations Authority More specifically, you are the committee which oversees all the examinations which are conducted in all the wizarding schools in Great Britain. Miley walked into her office and sat dwon at her desk.Her office was full of pictures of her twin(Cassandra Carter-Auror) and her brothers.She drank her cup of coffee and waited to see if anybody would show up. |
Samantha walked into the office which was housing the Examinations Authority and saw that there was a new employee there. She walked up to her and extended her hand. "Hello, I'm Samantha Rose, the Head of the Department of Magical Education. I just wanted to come and see how you are doing and to let you know how happy we are to have you on board with us. You came highly recommended, as did your two co-workers who should be here soon. Don't worry, the Authority is going to be growing much more, I'm sure all of you will be quite busy. The good news right now is that each of you do have your own private office at this point, wihch is nice." She smiled. "Speaking of that, I also wanted to let you know that my office is always open to anyone who would like to come in and talk to me about anything at any time. I believe in teamwork, and I'm here to assist you in whatever you need. Now, as far as your duties go, the main thing you will be doing here is simply to ensure that the standards of examinations for our school is met in all areas. It sounds like a simple duty but it's not, we have many schools here in Great Britain and there are a lot of things that go on in those schools that we really aren't entirely aware of. This is where this unit comes into play. Some of you will be going out to do inspections from time to time, you'll be handling communications of all sorts as well as preparing documents dealing with the standards which are expected of our schools. Do you have any questions about any of these things?" |
Gayle walked into the Department just in time to hear the Department Heads statement. " Wow! Our own offices", she exclaimed. She walked into her office and looked around. After a moment she walked over and placed her briefcase, which looked suspiciously like a Hello Kitty lunchbox, on her desk. She sat in her chair and put her face in her hands. She just had to meditate for a moment to get rid of her nerves. |
Samantha entered the work area, not finding anyone around she left this message for all the employees to read and returned back to her desk. "Some of you may be aware that there have been recent problems at Hogwarts, namely the apparent suicide (or in any case, unfortunate deaths) of three students during the past two terms. The Division Head for the Offices of Improper Use of Magic and myself will be holding a meeting with all of you some time next week regarding legislation about safe spells and some type of application process for the creation of spells to try and ensure this kind of thing doesn't happen again. Currently, we are in the process of brainstorming ideas to ensure the safety of our students, so any ideas you come up with could possibly be useful. Should you have any questions or suggestions, please check with your Division Head, Samantha Rose." Samantha knew that she had a bright group and that they were bound to come up with some good ideas. |
Blair stumbled into her office but quickly realized it was not her own. She looked around slightly confused, then looked through the door she just walked through and saw that her office was across the hall! "Oops!" Blair quickly walked back out, laughing at herself and her silly mistake. |

Miley laid her head on the table,she thought about things she could do to stop people drowning in the lake.She look up and saw the girl name,Gayle writing a lot down.Miley took out a peice of parchment a stared at it,she was clueless. |
Samantha walked into the office and placed a notice on the board for all the employees to read. Quote:

Miley walked over to the new notice and grinned.She walked back over to her blank parchment and worte... I went to Hogwarts and the thing that I really had a problem with was the lake.There is not much security near the lake.We need lifeguard nearby,so if someone gets hurt they will have help nearby.I don't see anything else wrong with the school.It's perfect:) |
Samantha was taking matters into her own hands. She walked into the Examinations Authority Committee Office all business this time and turned to her staff and said, "I have a very important announcement to make. We have a situation of the gravest type imaginable happening right now at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizarding." She winced as she said the words, it was after all her alma mater, and something she was extremely proud of. It pained her that something this awful was happening there now. "It appears that there have been several students who have been mysteriously transfigured into animals and then disappeared completely from the school. No one has heard anything of them since. We are going to need to investigate. I am going to have to send at least one of you into Hogwarts, I'm afraid, to ask questions and find out some answers. I may even have to go myself eventually. It is essential that we find these students and bring them back to normal, I understand there are at least a dozen of them so far. Do any of you have any questions about this?" She waited to hear her workers respond. __________________ |
"Animals?"Miley said."That's...new." |
"I know this is all new to you," Samantha said. "I believe that Hogwarts was trying to keep the matter hushed up but, unfortunately, they are no longer able to do so. We have had at least a dozen students who have been affected by this so far. It appears that they have somehow received some sort of transfiguring potion which has turned them into animals, then they have simply run off. This is all I have been able to glean so far, but I have had several people come to me about this matter, enough that I know the concerns are genuine and that we need to go in and investigate and find out exactly what is happening there. Are you interested in doing the investigation from this committee, Miley?," she asked. |
"Sure,"Miley said."I'll do it." |
"Thank you, Miley," Samantha smiled at the young woman. "Please report back to me when you are finished, try to find out as much as you can, and do be careful." Samantha knew that she would. Her employees were all excellent, and she trusted them implicitly. "Do you have any questions before you leave?" |
"Where do you want me to start at?"Miley asked."Like the lake?" |
Samantha thought about that for a moment. "That might be an excellent place to start," she told Miley. "It would make sense that the students would have passed through the lake area on the way to wherever they were going." She shuddered a moment, thinking about that. "I think it would make perfect sense for you to begin your investigation at the lake." Samantha hoped there would be people around who would be able to aid in Miley's investigation, who might know something. "If you need me just contact me via floo or however you can arrange it and I will join you immediately," she promised. |
Miley nodded and said,"Umm...how do I get there?Apparate?" |
"You can only apparate so far, because the school has magical protections around it," Samantha said, remembering the many impenetrable charms that were sent up around the school from her days there. "You will be able to apparate to the nearby village of Hogsmeade, and then you will have to make your way into Hogwarts by passing through a pub there, I believe it's called the Three Broomsticks if I'm not mistaken. This will take you right into Hogwarts, into a very interesting room known as the Room of Requirement," Samantha explained. "Do you think you can remember all of this?", she asked worriedly. |
"Yes,"Miley said.She pulled out her wand."I guess I'll see you soon.I'll sent an owl,if I need help." |
"Very well. Thank you again, Miley, and good luck," Samantha said softly. |
Miley nodded and then apparated to Hogsmeade. |
Miley walked back into her office and sat down.She wrote down the things the students told her and smiled.She never met such nice students before. |
Minutes later,A barn owl,that looks like it came from Hogwarts,flew into Miley's office.Miley smiled and pulled the note of its foot.She opened the letter... Quote:
