Corridor Outside the Employment Office Employees hopeful for advancement opportunities mingle with outsiders hoping to secure a position with the Ministry of Magic. |
A fuming and towering wizard stomped his way up the corridor, outraged at what he'd just witnessed in the center of the Atrium. Jude was in such a fit of internal fury that he'd nearly missed the door into the employment offices. Perhaps in their he could express his complaints. |
"Okey! Ready to apparate?" Forrester asked Erin as he extended his hand to grab hers so they can apparate together. |
Erin took Forrester's hand, smiling that her hand fit as if it were made to be held by his. |
Forrester turned on the point and they both apparate to Hogsmeade to have their lunch. occ: Next post in Level 2 you choose the office. |
The atmosphere was strange and people in various outfits speaking what seemed to be a barbaric language (to her ears) flittered about the place. It was quite different from Paris, but the gorgeous brunette with sparkling blue eyes went back to the notice board to see if her name had appeared. A manicured finger ran down the list of names but she didn't have to look too far. Bailey, Barney, Beauchamp, Blake.... Her name wasn't there, yet. With a sigh, Vivienne Beauvais took a seat and pulled out a French fashion magazine to occupy her time. Several hours later Her blue eyes watched an odd looking wizard limp over to the notice board with a fresh list. Vivienne's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she watched the blue-haired man gimp away and several words lept out at her - "Magical Law Enforcement". After spending the past few years back in her home country working as an Auror, she had a feeling that her name would be on this list. The fashion magazine was tucked away and she hurried over to the list. Then she saw her name. Beauvais, Vivienne G. Without hesitating, she started walking to the lift so that she could report for duty. |
*standing next to the wall with her arms crossed* I am so worried about this. I really need a job.... why wouldn't i get the job, i mean i graduated top in my class with a bunch of NEWTS.... but wait what if im still not good enough.... what if i'm 'just not what they are looking for' what if .... *starts passing* Oh i am so nervous. *leans against the wall and slides down to the floor* oh great i got dirt on my nice robes |
Egypt looked at the notice board, there was no Riddle on the list. She went to one of the cushy chairs and sat back down. She was nervously flipping through her magazine and waiting for the new list to appear. |
Egypt stood up and checked the list again. She ran her finger down the list and Riddle was not on there. She wondered if it was worth it waiting. No one seemed to care that she wanted a job |
Egypt stood up to look at the list again and her name appeared shimmering in Silver. Law Enforcement, nice. She picked up her purse and headed toward the lifts to report to work |
Serena sighed. She looked up at the notice board. Nothing. Still no Campbell. She begun to search frantically in her pink bag and pulls out her copy of Hogwarts: A History, then started reading. EDIT: Selene the snowy owl have delivered a letter for her owner, and it turned out to be a letter from the Ministry, telling her her position. She rushed to level 3, where the Department for Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is. |
After submitting his request Warren exits the Employment Office and takes a seat, his knees shaking nervously. Will I get it? Will I get it? He looks around at the other nervous people in the corridor and then looks back at the bulletin board and sighs. He reaches down, opens his satchel and takes out a copy of Quidditch through the Ages, content on waiting it out. |
Warren glanced up at the man. "Uh...hi. Are you all right?" |
A tall man after placing his application waited outside patiently with the other witches and wizards. He leant casually against the wall whistling a tune to himself, lost in his own thoughts. |
Tom was confused at all this yelling. "Mate, calm down. There's nothing to worry about." Tom said calmly playing a strong hand on the mans shoulder. Then he saw the fiasco in front of him. Unsure what to do he cast a protective spell around himself and most oft he other witches and wizards who were not planning on fighting. |
Arianna stumbled slightly as she turned around and left the Employment office. Currently she was quite a wreck, she really wanted a job at the Ministry. She needed the income and wanted to be able to move out from the apartment that she shared with her annoying braggy roommate. Sighing, she spotted an empty bench and sat down on it, tapping her feet impatiently on the floor, wondering how long it would take for her to get an answer about her application. |
Alice walked out of the employment office. Excited at the thought of working for the ministry. She'd wanted to ever since she was a little girl, when she had first found out she was a witch. Smiling, she barely noticed what was happening around her. She saw a girl she thought she recognized. A malfoy maybe? And decided to introduce herself. "Hello," she said with a smile, "I'm Alice, Alice Proctor. Do you have any idea when we're supposed to figure out if we're hired? I was just in there, but all the paperwork left me in such a blur that nothing they told me registered!" She chuckled a little at that last bit. |

"They'll send us an owl to notify us if we've been hired. I'm Donia Cailleac, by the way. Do I know you?" |

That's when a young girl with brown curly hair and hazel eyes walked up to them. "Hi my name is Blair" she said holding out her hand. "I'm new here, and I thought'd I'd introduce myself." |
Oya entered th unusually tense room and sat down. She looked around It was really strange atmosphere. people were quiet, waiting for a job, job that will change their life forever. Oya realized that this. She was pretty nervous.'what if they didn't like her? What if they didn't give her a job?'. These questions were circling around in her head. She took a magazine from the table in front of her. Just to occupy her mind. She went through the pages not actually moving her eyes. She couldn't take the tension. She got up and started pacing left and right around the office. She sat down again... The atmosphere was horrible. There was an uncomfortable silence in the air and all Oya could think about was her future. |
Blair saw Oya pacing around looking worried. She slowly walked up to her and watched her pace, back and forth and back. Trying to break the tension she put on her friendliest smile and walked up to her. "Hello. Erm,are you okay? You look a little worried" said Blair. "I'm Blair!" she said putting out her hand. She was really hoping to meet enough people,so that she's not lost the first day of work,if she were to get the job. |
Alicia entered the corridor and watched as the people paced round her. Flicking her hair back over her shoulder, she plunged her hand into her bag and pulled out a tiny mirror. she looked into it. looking back at her was a girl who had just turned 20, with ruby red hair and a streak of electric blue running down her sweep fringe. she checked her make- up ad placed th mirror back into her bag and looked up. She took a deep breath and walked further into the corridor. |
