xxx_Jenna_xxx's Poetry Pieces - Sa13+

Ok, even though we all wish we owned the Harry Potter idea, we don't it belongs to J.K Rowling, so CHEERS! J.K Rowling.

The Hogwarts Express

Excuse me but have you seen a pet toad
He's nothing like that rat that's so old
A boy in first year named Neville has lost him
If a teacher finds, it will definately cost him
Are you doing a spell? Well come on let's see
All of mine have worked for me
Obviously that wasn't a very good spell
We're going to be there soon, I can tell
So you may as well change into your Hogwartes clothes
And by the way, you've got some dirt on your nose

The Triwizard Tournament

Eternal glory awaits thee
Whoever should win the cup
But 'tis not as easy at it should seem
So think hard before your time is up

The first task requires brains and brawn
Just to get out alive
But you must get the egg to move on
And your opponent is an incredible size

The second task challenges you severely
Underwater with creatures unknown
You will lose something you hold dearly
And you have an hour to claim your throne

The third task is perhaps the most dangerous of all
With navigation and spells and such
But be careful you shouldn't trip and fall
Or the roots won't leave you much.

And after all is said and done
You'll be glad you're finished
You'll see it really wasn't much fun
And that all your innocence, was easily diminished

And so the Triwizard Tournament lies
Before us this very day
So be careful and be wise
Before you enter and seal your fate

Weasley's Wizard Weazes

Some are big and some are small
But they are trouble, one and all
Ton-Tongue Ties and Canary Creams
Fake Wands, Exploding Snap, and everything in between

The geniuses behind the tricks
Are Fred and George, handsome and slick
Nipped so much from Filch before
That maybe that's how they fill their store

The teachers hate their merchandise
But they don't care, money will suffice
They had a dream and went for it
And now they make loads and loads for it

So every student who wants a trick
Come down to this store quick, quick, quick
That's Weasley's Wizard Wheezes, mind you
So come on down and we'll find something for you

Next Post: Honestly Amerleigh, no reason to be jealous, really.

Ok sorry...no more double posting :)

The Patronus

Silver and shining
Bright and blinding
The stag leapt across the lake
And at first touch of silver light, the crowd of dementors did break

A swimming otter, strong and true
And happiness, through and through
Chasing away each black cloak
From destroying yet another innocent bloke

A tiger, pouncing, clawing, growling
Sending another one away, scowling
Its shining fur, silver and smooth
Send another one flying, with one simple move

And the last patronus, the colorful one
A toucan from Miss Lovegood who said, "What fun"
It chased away the last of them
And everyone was safe again

They learned a lesson that was very true
Don't go messing with things not concerning you
Though more than just one life was saved
Stupidity isn't always brave

Love

Teenage years, teenage years
The years that start ridiculous fears
That you'll never find the one
That you'll end up like McGonagall with tartan robes and bun

You date one girl and then another
And your sister dates her brother
Find a date for the Yule Ball
Everyone's going; big and small

But for the girl with the bushy hair
Who likes the red-head, love is in the air
So set aside self-consciousness and worries
And find your true love in a hurry

Starry Skies

I lay on my back next to the one I love
Looking up at the mysteries above
Stars up high twinkling bright
Not even the moon gives off that much light

I curl up onto my beloved's chest
I close my eyes and just relax and rest
I let my soft dreams pull my to sleep
And dream of counting 20 sheep

Morning comes early and the sun's rays shine
Right onto the face of the love that's mine
He picks me up gently and carries me inside
Where our true feelings are too strong to hide

He sets me down and we share a kiss
One that's just too passionate to miss
The twins walk in and whistle at us
But I just walk away, without a fuss

Luna and Neville

Luna Lovegood and Neville L.
Are under each others unintentional love spell
Neville loves the radishes on her ears
Lunas loves all of his crazy fears

Neville loves her crazy specs
Luna loves how he forgets
Neville loves her long blonde hair
Luna loves how he can't find his toad anywhere

Luna Lovegood deserves love too
So Neville's there to say "I love you!"
And that's how this magnificent girl
Found some love in this crazy world

Hi Jen and thanks a lot...here's one more just because Jen started reading today..(btw awesome name...just like mine)

The Flying Car (Mrs. Weasley)

How could you take that flying car!
And leave me no note as to where you are!
You could have been hurt, you could have been SEEN!
And all the other injuries in between!
Now Harry dear, I don't blame you :)
But YOU boys have got some work to do!
De-gnome the garden, just for a start!
And when your done come back for more, hiding wouldn't be smart!
But as for now come sit and eat
And I'll be telling your father about this insane feat

Ok I don't think this is considered double posting but we'll see I guess.

The Marauders

A couple of trickster, 4 to be exact
Remus, James, Peter, and Sirius Black
Decided to make a map of their success
The map's secret passages would impress

Behind Gunhilda of Goresmoor
Lies a hidden trapdoor
That leads all the way down to Honeydukes
They would never tell, for fear of rebuke

They all transformed at dead of night
A stag, dog, mouse, and werewolf, what a fright
They'd dance and frolick and have a good joke
But now look what's become of those jovial blokes

Dead

firenjen 08-30-2009 08:16 PM

The Sorting Hat Song ....I didn't make it in time for the contest :( so I'll do it here....

I've been here for many years
Sitting upon this stool
Sorting through students greatest fears
To place them into this school

Will you be in Gryffindor
House of the brave and true
Under Godric Gryffindor forever more
Is that the house for you?

Or how about in Ravenclaw
Home of the smart and witty
Where you would solve problems with incredible awe
If the shoe was fitting

Maybe Hufflepuff is the house for you
Where all great friends work hard
And they are honest through and through
Its yours if you pick the right card

Or great powerful Slytherin
Manipulaters, each one
If this is the house that you are put in
You will definately have much fun

So whatever house belongs to you
Do your very best
And do whatever you need to do
To be equal with the rest

Very Good! Too bad about it not making it, but I'm sure we'll do it again.

Hermione Granger

Big brown eyes and bushy hair
Bossy and superior air
Answers all questions in a know-it-all tone
Never stops talking; just drones and drones
Turns out for her, Ron was the one
And she looks back on those days when she had such great fun
At Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
With Ron, and Harry, and occasionally Ginny

Ron Weasley

Bright red hair and freckled nose
Ratty books and hand-me-down robes
But he's got the biggest heart you can find
Though not a very developed mind
Talk bad about his family, he'll sock you in the mouth
And then, from there it will all go south
But if by some chance, you are good friends
He'll be loyal to you until the very end

therealginnyweasly 09-02-2009 12:42 AM

i love these! XD

Droo 09-02-2009 11:12 AM

Ok I haven't posted in a while but here goes...

Rubeus Hagrid

Shaggy hair and long brown beard
The monster all the first years feared
Dirty moleskin overcoat
I was surprised he didn't sink his boat

Despite his looks, he doesn't bite
But he fills your dreams with scary fright
Rubeus Hagrid, the one and only
Has a guard dog, Fang, so he's never lonely

But perhaps there's something wrong with his mind
For he thinks that dragons are misunderstood and kind
Wanted one ever since he was a boy
Treats horrible creatures like a treasured toy

You'd have to know him to understand
He's not more giant than man
Rubeus Hagrid, out there on the grounds
Perhaps the friendliest giant that was ever found

Droo 09-09-2009 11:44 AM

I really like that, it great!

miss.weasley23 09-12-2009 04:37 AM

The Nargles

Nargles infest mistletoe
They steal your shoes and they steal the show
Lock up all your prized possessions
'Cuz they've got one crazy obssession

They'll take your favorite cauldron that you painted pink and blue
They'll take your best broomstick and place it with your shoes

Some people say that Nargles don't care
Some say the Nargles don't know its not theirs
Then again some people question their existence
And the Lovegoods reassure you with good-natured persistance

Droo 09-12-2009 03:35 PM

Hehehe Nargles

miss.weasley23 09-19-2009 02:42 PM

When waiting in painful and the pain isn't waiting
Close your eyes and the darkness is there
To help you through your great despair
Nothingness will be your friend
True and loyal 'til the end

*Personal Experience*

War brings out the worst in men, but in the end all is called fair and even because the men brought on the war.

Droo 09-20-2009 03:50 PM

Thanks for that, not my type of poem but very good nonetheless.

JeshieRAWR 10-18-2009 03:14 AM

Ahh Jenna!
How come I didn't know you had a poetry thread??
You write amazingly!
I love your poems!
PAMS!
